Abstract

本发明涉及例如可用于牙刷鬃毛的共挤塑单丝。
2.相关技术介绍
从耐纶6,12或从聚酯制成的单丝截面通常是圆形的,单丝的尖端是很好修成圆角的。在用作牙刷时,从单丝制成的鬃毛带有圆角的端头是较理想的,因为这样的鬃毛比起不带圆角的尖头鬃毛来说不易损害口腔内的软硬组织。
发明概述
本发明涉及具有由第一树脂构成的外壳材料和由第二树脂构成的芯材料的共挤塑单丝,第二树脂与第一树脂不同,和第二树脂的摩擦系数高于第一树脂。采用常规的端部机械磨圆技术使芯材料在单丝的端头露出,形成比常规单丝的圆头有较高摩擦系数的端头。

详细描述
本发明涉及由第一树脂构成的外壳材料和由第二树脂构成的芯材料而制成的共挤塑单丝,其中第一树脂不同于第二树脂,且第二树脂的摩擦系数高于第一树脂。当此共挤塑单丝嵌入牙刷中,其端头要进行修整,从而使单丝的端头的第二树脂露出。这样单丝的端头就具有比常规单丝更高的摩擦系数,同时由于使用第一树脂作为共挤塑单丝的外壳,单丝本身也仍保持常规单丝良好的弯曲复原功能。端头具有高摩擦系数是为了提供比常规端头修圆单丝更好的清洁功能。例如,如果此共挤塑单丝用作牙刷的鬃毛,端头的高摩擦系数就会提供牙齿清洁的改善效果。
本文中所用的术语“芯”是指如剖面所显现的共挤塑单丝的中心部分。本文所用术语“外壳”是指共挤塑单丝芯材料之外的一层或多层包覆层。
外壳和芯材料组合的实例包括:
外壳材料:耐纶6;耐纶6,6;耐纶6,10;耐纶6,12;耐纶6,9;耐纶10,10;耐纶11;耐纶12;耐纶的共聚物以及其混合物,和
芯材料:共聚酯醚,例如从(特拉华州,威尔明顿,杜邦公司)(E.I.duPont de Nemours and Company of Wilmington,Delaware)以Hytrel注册商标出售的产品。
外壳和芯材料组合的一个例子包括:耐纶聚酯尤其是聚对苯二甲酸乙二醇酯(PET)或聚对苯二甲酸丁二醇酯(PBT)、聚氨酯、聚氯乙烯、或聚氟乙烯、或其混合物的外壳材料;和热塑性弹性体如共聚酯醚、聚醚嵌段酰胺、苯乙烯嵌段共聚物如苯乙烯-丁二烯-苯乙烯或苯乙烯-乙烯-丁烯-苯乙烯、以苯乙烯嵌段共聚物为基的热塑性弹性体共混物、热塑性聚烯烃如乙烯丙烯(二烯)共聚物或它们的共混物、或热塑性聚氨酯,或其混合物的芯材料。
对于共挤单丝的芯或外壳的截面形状没有什么限制。芯和外壳的单个或两个可以是圆形、三角形、四方形、五角形、六角形、任何规则形状的多角形、椭圆形、叶状或任何其它形状。芯可以中空的,或有单孔或有多孔的,如截面为三腔的或四腔的。
芯材料的截面积占单丝截面积的约10-90%。
实施例例1
用常规方法制成芯部材料为Hytrel4056共聚酯醚和外壳材料为耐纶6,12的共挤塑单丝,将单丝通过纺丝生产线上的调整器复绕进行125℃下的整理,然后进行绞丝。芯的截面积占单丝总截面积的约55%。
将这些共挤塑单丝嵌入牙刷毛簇中,其端部用常规修圆技术处理,这样在端部就露出Hytrel4056。
测量了用共挤塑单丝制成的牙刷和用耐纶6,12单丝制成的牙刷的摩擦系数。这两种牙刷样本均采用相同的设计。是以样本擦刷玻璃来测量摩擦系数。含有单丝样本的四个牙刷固定在滑板上,滑板加载1000克重物,和此组件沿水平玻璃表面以每分钟5英寸速度拖拉使单丝顶端与玻璃表面接触。使用INSTRON拉伸力检测仪测量沿玻璃表面移动刷子所需的力。下面数据表明:用鬃毛顶端露出的Hytrel4056共挤塑单丝制造的牙刷比用耐纶6,12和带圆角顶端制成的牙刷,其摩擦系数要高得多。

Claims (6)
1.共挤塑单丝,包括:
第一树脂的外壳材料,含有耐纶6;耐纶6,6;耐纶6,10;耐纶6,12;耐纶10,10;或耐纶6和6,6的共聚物;或其混合物;和
第二树脂的芯材料,含有共聚酯醚,第二树脂不同于第一树脂,且第二树脂的摩擦系数高于第一树脂,
其中芯材料在单丝的端头露出。
2.共挤塑单丝,包括
第一树脂的外壳材料,含有耐纶、聚酯、聚氨酯、聚氯乙烯、聚氟乙烯或其混合物,和
第二树脂的芯材料,含有热塑性弹性体,第二树脂不同于第一树脂,且第二树脂的摩擦系数高于第一树脂,
其中芯材料在单丝的端头露出。
3.权利要求2的共挤塑单丝,其中芯材料是热塑性弹性体,选自共聚酯醚、聚醚嵌段酰胺、苯乙烯嵌段共聚物、以苯乙烯嵌段共聚物为基的热塑性弹性体、热塑性聚烯烃或其共混物、热塑性聚氨酯和它们的混合物。
4.权利要求1的共挤塑单丝,其中芯材料的截面积占单丝截面积的10-90%。
5.权利要求1的共挤塑单丝,其中芯内有形成三腔或四腔截面的孔。
6.牙刷,包括与一头相连的手柄,该头带有一个或多个从权利要求1-5的任一共挤塑单丝制成的毛簇。
