Abstract

Description
本发明属于用于制备高温超导体线材的方法的领域。
高温超导(HTS)膜有望用于例如电动机、电子工业、电缆中。具有高临界电流(Ic)的厚(即>1μm)HTS膜在需要高载流能力的应用,例如输配电线、变压器、故障电流限制器、磁体、发动机和发电机中是优选的。对于工业生产,必须提供可以以高体积速度制备高性能超导带的方法。该方法包括影响超导体性能的加热工艺步骤。从现有技术中已知加热工艺步骤。
R.Feenstra等在IEEE Transactions On Applied Superconductors第19卷(2009)第3131-3135页中描述了一种用于以实验室规模制备超导线材的加热方法。该方法由多个工艺步骤组成,所述步骤在可变气体环境中在各种温度下作为时间的函数进行。然而,为了获得高质量的超导体,对炉的每个区域,必须单独地小心调节炉中的气氛。
US 2011/160066和WO 2008/100281公开了在气相中不含水的后退火方法。然而,在第一退火步骤期间,超导体层已经完全形成,使得后退火对超导体层具有较小的影响。
本发明的目的是提供一种用于大规模生产具有高性能和可靠质量的产品的高温超导体线材的方法。其目的在于一种在炉的不同区域中不需要复杂地调节气氛的方法,从而可以采用低成本炉体系。此外,该方法应为灵活的,并易于适应不同类型的超导体线材。
这些目的通常通过一种用于制备高温超导体线材的方法来实现,该方法包括将包含钇或稀土金属、碱土金属和过渡金属的膜加热至至少700℃的温度并将该膜冷却至300℃以下的温度,其中加热和冷却进行至少两次。

本发明的优选实施方案可以在说明书和权利要求书中找到。不同实施方案的组合在本发明的范围内。
本发明膜可以通过各种方法如化学气相沉积、蒸发、溅射(sputtering)或化学溶液沉积而制备。化学溶液沉积是优选的,因为其以相对低的成本允许高生产速度。
为了通过化学溶液沉积制备膜,将包含含钇或稀土金属的化合物、含碱土金属的化合物和含过渡金属的化合物的溶液沉积在基材上。这些化合物包括氧化物、氢氧化物、卤化物、羧酸盐、烷氧基化物、硝酸盐或硫酸盐。优选羧酸盐,特别是乙酸盐或丙酸盐。羧酸盐和烷氧基化物可以被取代,优选被氟取代,例如二氟乙酸盐、三氟乙酸盐,或者部分或完全氟化的丙酸盐。
当使用化学溶液沉积时,含钇或稀土金属的化合物、含碱土金属的化合物或含过渡金属的化合物中的至少一种包含氟。优选地,含碱土金属的化合物包含氟,例如三氟乙酸盐。
优选地,钇或稀土金属是钇、镝、钬、铒、钆、铕、钐、钕、镨或镧,特别是钇。也可以使用钇或稀土金属中的多于一种,例如钇和钆。优选地,碱土金属是钡。优选地,过渡金属是铜。
该溶液可包含其他元素,优选作为可溶性化合物。这些元素可以是例如钙、铁或钴。有时,这些元素代替了高温超导体中钇或稀土金属、碱土金属或过渡金属中的一种或多种的部分。
考虑到相应金属在待制备的超导体中的摩尔组成,溶液以视为对超导体的生长和/或性能最佳的摩尔比包含含钇或稀土金属的化合物、含碱土金属的化合物和含过渡金属的化合物。因此,它们的浓度取决于待制备的超导体。通常,它们在溶液中的浓度彼此独立地为0.01-10mol/l,优选0.1-1mol/l。
溶液优选包含溶剂,例如水、乙腈、四氢呋喃、1-甲基-2-吡咯烷酮、吡啶或醇如甲醇、乙醇、2-甲氧基乙醇、异丙醇、丁醇、戊醇或高级醇(例如C6-C12醇)或其混合物。优选醇,特别是甲醇。
前体溶液可以包含稳定剂、润湿剂和/或其他添加剂。这些组分的量可以在相对于所使用的干燥化合物的总重量为0-30重量%的范围内变化。可能需要添加剂以调节粘度。添加剂包括路易斯碱;胺,如TEA(三乙醇胺)、DEA(二乙醇胺);表面活性剂;聚羧酸,如PMAA(聚甲基丙烯酸)和PAA(聚丙烯酸),PVP(聚乙烯吡咯烷酮),乙基纤维素。
优选地,在沉积于基材上之前将溶液加热和/或搅拌例如至回流。此外,油墨可以进一步包含各种添加剂以增加溶液的稳定性并促进沉积过程。这些添加剂的实例包括润湿剂、胶凝剂和抗氧化剂。
溶液的沉积可以以各种方式进行。溶液可以例如通过浸涂(将基材浸渍在溶液中)、旋涂(将溶液施加到旋转基材)、喷涂(使溶液喷洒或雾化在基材上)、毛细管涂覆(通过毛细管施加溶液)、狭缝模头涂覆(通过窄缝施加溶液)和喷墨印刷。优选狭缝模头涂覆和喷墨印刷。
优选地,在沉积之后,在溶剂沸点以下,例如溶剂沸点以下10-100℃,优选溶剂沸点以下20-50℃的温度下蒸发溶液。
优选地,膜中的过渡金属与钇或稀土金属的摩尔比为3:0.7-3:2,更优选3:1.0-3:1.5,特别是3:1.2-3:1.4。优选地,沉积在基材上的过渡金属和碱土金属的摩尔比为3:1-3:2.5,更优选3:1.5-3:2.0,特别是3:1.7-3:1.9。
优选地,该膜进一步包含能够形成钉扎中心的物质。钉扎中心通常增加超导体的临界电流密度和/或临界磁通密度。能够形成钉扎中心的物质包括可溶性金属盐、前体溶液中的过量金属或者纳米颗粒。在纳米颗粒的情况下,溶液是悬浮液。构成钉扎中心的材料的实例包括ZrO2、稳定的ZrO2、HfO2、BaZrO3、Ln2Zr2O7、CeO2、BaCeO3、Y2O3或RE2O3,其中RE代表一种或多种稀土金属。
膜通常位于基材上。基材可以由能够支撑缓冲层和/或超导层的任何材料形成。例如,合适的基材公开在EP 830 218,EP 1 208 244,EP 1 198 846,EP 2 137 330中。通常,基材是金属和/或合金条/带,其中金属和/或合金可以是镍、银、铜、锌、铝、铁、铬、钒、钯、钼、钨和/或它们的合金。优选地,基材是镍基的。更优选地,基材是镍基的并且包含1-10原子%,特别是3-9原子%的钨。层压的金属带、涂覆有第二金属(如电镀涂层)的带或具有合适表面的任何其他多材料带也可用作基材。
基材优选经纹饰,即它具有纹饰表面。基材通常为20-200μm,优选40-100μm厚。长度通常大于1m,例如100m,宽度通常为1cm至1m。
优选地,在将包含钇或稀土金属、碱土金属和过渡金属的膜沉积到其上之前,例如通过电抛光使基材表面平坦化。通常有利的是使由此平坦化的基材经受热处理。该热处理包括将基材加热至600-1000℃并保持2-15分钟,其中时间是指基材处于最大温度下的时间。优选地,在还原气氛,如含氢气氛下进行热处理。可以重复平坦化和/或热处理。
优选地,基材的表面具有根据DIN EN ISO 4287和4288以均方根计小于15nm的粗糙度。粗糙度是指在基材表面的晶粒边界内的10×10μm的面积,使得金属基材的晶界不影响所述的粗糙度测量。
优选地,在基材和膜之间存在一个或多个缓冲层。缓冲层可以包含能够支撑超导体层的任何材料。缓冲层材料的实例包括金属和金属氧化物,例如银、镍、TbOx、GaOx、CeO2、氧化钇稳定的氧化锆(YSZ)、Y2O3、LaAlO3、SrTiO3、Gd2O3、LaNiO3、LaCuO3、SrRuO3、NdGaO3、NdAlO3和/或本领域技术人员已知的一些氮化物。优选的缓冲层材料是钇稳定的氧化锆(YSZ);各种锆酸盐,如锆酸钆、锆酸镧;钛酸盐,如钛酸锶;和简单的氧化物,如氧化铈或氧化镁。更优选地,缓冲层包含锆酸镧、氧化铈、氧化钇、钛酸锶和/或稀土金属掺杂的氧化铈如钆掺杂的氧化铈。甚至更优选地,缓冲层包含锆酸镧和/或氧化铈。
为了提高纹理转印的程度和作为扩散阻挡层的效率,在基材和膜之间各自包含不同缓冲材料的多个缓冲层。优选地,基材包含两个或三个缓冲层,例如包含锆酸镧的第一缓冲层和包含氧化铈的第二缓冲层。
如果通过化学溶液沉积制备包含钇或稀土金属、碱土金属和过渡金属的膜,则优选在将膜加热至至少700℃的温度之前除去前体的剩余有机部分。这通常通过将膜加热至300-600℃,优选350-450℃的温度Tp来进行。该膜优选在该温度范围内保持1-30分钟,优选5-15分钟。在将其加热至至少700℃的温度之前可以将膜冷却,或者将其直接加热至至少700℃的温度。
根据本发明,将膜加热至至少700℃,优选至少720℃,特别是至少740℃的温度。通常温度不超过900℃。
根据本发明,将膜加热至至少700℃的温度并冷却至300℃以下的温度,其中加热和冷却进行至少两次。通常,在第一次加热至至少700℃的温度期间,高温超导体的籽晶在膜中生长,而大部分膜组成不同的相。在第二次加热至至少700℃的温度之后,将钇或稀土金属、碱土金属和过渡金属完全转化成晶体形式的高温超导体。在本发明的上下文中,完全转化是指至少90%,优选至少95%,特别是至少98%,例如至少99%。优选地,将膜加热至至少700℃的温度,并首次冷却至300℃以下的温度,从而使高温超导体的籽晶在第一次加热至至少700℃的温度期间在膜中生长,而大部分膜组成不同的相,更优选至少70%的膜组成不同的相,特别是至少90%的膜组成不同的相。这可以通过选择水蒸气压力和加热时间足够低来实现。膜的组成优选通过X射线散射来测定。
优选地,第一次加热至至少700℃的温度包含至少一个温度平稳段,并且第二次加热至至少700℃的温度包含至少一个温度平稳段。在本发明的上下文中,温度平稳段是其中温度以小于1000℃/h,优选小于500℃/h,特别是小于300℃/h,例如小于200℃/h的速率变化的时期。在第一次加热至至少700℃的温度期间最长温度平稳段的时间平均温度表示为TI,第二次加热至至少700℃的温度期间最长温度平稳段的时间平均温度表示为TII。
图1显示了这种温度曲线的实例。首先将温度快速升高至至少700℃,其中其达到温度TI的平稳段(I),然后快速降至300℃以下,然后快速升至至少700℃,其中其达到温度TII的平稳段(II),再次快速降至300℃以下。优选地,TI低于TII,例如TI比TII低5-80℃,特别是低10-60℃,例如低20-50℃。
温度平稳段外的加热速率通常为1000-100 000℃/h,优选5000-50 000℃/h。优选地,在第一次加热至至少700℃的温度期间,一旦膜达到300-600℃,优选400-500℃的温度,则加热速率降至初始加热速率的10-90%,优选降至初始加热速率的30-70%。
在将包含钇或稀土金属、碱土金属和过渡金属的膜加热至至少700℃的温度并冷却至300℃以下的温度时,将膜在700℃或以上保持30秒至20分钟,优选1-10分钟的时间。
优选地,第一次加热至至少700℃的温度包含至少两个具有至少700℃的温度的温度平稳段,其中第一温度平稳段(表示为TI,1)的温度比第二温度平稳段(表示为TI,2)高,优选高5-80℃,更优选高10-60℃,特别是高20-50℃。第一温度平稳段比第二温度平稳段短,优选第一平稳段为第二平稳段的时间的1-50%,更优选5-30%,特别是15-25%。图2显示了这种情况下的温度曲线,其中第一次加热至至少700℃包含两个温度平稳段I1(相应温度TI,1)和I2(相应温度TI,2)。因此,可能的是TI,1与TII相同或比TII更高,而TI,2低于TII。
在加热至至少700℃的温度期间压力优选在1巴以下,例如0.1-500毫巴,优选1-100毫巴,特别是5-20毫巴。
第一次加热至至少700℃的温度期间水的分压(表示为P1,w)、第一次加热至至少700℃的温度期间的总压(表示为P1)、第二次加热至至少700℃的温度期间水的分压(表示为P2,w)、第二次加热至至少700℃的温度期间的总压(表示为P2)通常满足以下关系

本发明方法进一步包括将膜冷却至300℃以下,优选200℃以下,特别是100℃以下,例如室温的温度。通常,不将膜冷却至低于0℃的温度。冷却速率通常为1000-100 000℃/h,优选5000-50 000℃/h。
加热至至少700℃优选在其中只能选择一种特定压力和一种特定气氛组成的炉中进行。可以使用一个这样的炉,并将该炉中的膜加热至少两次,或者使用两个或更多个这样的炉,并在这些炉中连续加热膜。在任何情况下,给予膜足够的时间以在炉中的每次加热之间冷却至上述温度。优选地,使膜通过炉。更优选地,膜以1-300m/h,甚至更优选5-100m/h,特别是10-30m/h的速度通过炉。
在基材呈长带形式的情况下,优选使用卷对卷(reel-to-reel)体系,即将基材提供在一个卷轴上,将其退绕,使其通过炉并将其卷绕到第二个卷轴上。当已经使整个带通过炉并在卷轴上时,可以将该卷轴带至下一个炉,在其中使其退绕并通过炉,或者使带退绕并再次通过第一个炉。
优选地,在加热至700℃并冷却至300℃以下至少两次之后,将超导体线材用惰性金属层,例如银、金、铂或包含这些中的至少一种的合金,优选银涂覆。该涂层通常具有100nm至5μm,优选200nm至3μm的厚度。惰性金属层可以通过在超导体线材上压制金属膜,通过气相方法如溅射或通过化学溶液沉积(其中由溶液沉积金属盐或金属纳米颗粒)并随后通过加热转化成金属而施用。
优选在加热至700℃并冷却至300℃以下至少两次之后,在氧气分压为空气总压的70-100%,优选90-100%的气氛中将超导体线材加热至200-600℃,优选400-500℃。该加热步骤的典型压力为800-2000毫巴,优选1000-1200毫巴,例如环境压力。该加热通常进行20秒至200分钟,优选5-20分钟。
因此,优选的方法包括
(a)提供具有一个或多于一个缓冲层的纹饰基材,
(b)将包含含钇或稀土金属的化合物、含碱土金属的化合物和含过渡金属的化合物的溶液沉积在基材上,
(c)使沉积的溶液干燥,从而形成包含钇或稀土金属、碱土金属和过渡金属的膜,
(d)将膜加热至300-600℃,
(e)将膜加热至至少700℃的温度,并将膜冷却至300℃以下的温度,其中加热和冷却进行至少两次。
通常,将超导体线材切割成较窄的带,并通过用导电金属如铜涂覆,例如通过电沉积而稳定。

实施例
实施例显示了双程法(two-pass process),应用于阳离子化学计量比为Y1.3Ba1.8Cu3的CSD前体。通过沉积两个连续的500nm涂层而制备最终厚度为约1μm的层。溶液包含至少一种阳离子组分的三氟乙酸盐。根据标准化程序将每个涂层热解至最高温度400℃。第二层热解后的总厚度约为2.5-3μm。基材由包含5原子%的W的纹饰Ni的带组成,其宽度为1cm,涂覆有通过化学溶液沉积制成的La2Zr2O7和CeO2缓冲层。该样品借助卷对卷体系通过第一个炉,随后再次借助卷对卷体系通过第二个炉。在这两个炉中,带的运动和气体流动方向相反。当在接收卷轴上收集时,将样品在两次热处理之间冷却至室温。以下实施例中描述的带的速度基于对两个炉而言1.5-2μm的加热长度。例如通过使用更长的炉可以实现更高的带速。
实施例1
第一个炉的温度为750℃。在该炉中,使水蒸气、氮气和氧气的混合物在10毫巴的总压下流经样品。水流速为40g/h(对应于3.3毫巴的水分压),氮气流速为100l/h。氧气分压为0.2毫巴。使样品以20m/h的速度移动通过炉,这对应于第一个炉中5.5分钟的高温停留时间。停留时间包括在初始加热期间从500℃至700℃的较慢加热斜坡,但不包括至500℃的加热斜坡的快速部分和冷却斜坡。图3显示了样品从第一个炉中离开后的XRD谱。
第二个炉的温度为780℃。使水蒸气和氧气的混合物在1.5毫巴的炉内总压下流经样品。水流速为100g/h(对应于1.3毫巴的水分压),氧气流速为20l/h(对应于0.2毫巴的氧气分压)。使样品以20m/h移动,以使得第二个炉中的高温停留时间(不包括加热和冷却斜坡)为4.5分钟。
不考虑在第一次通过期间形成的YBCO籽晶或核,从第二热处理的4.5分钟停留时间和1μm的目标YBCO膜厚度可以估算最大生长速率为3.7nm/s。使用连续Hall传感器技术(Tapestar)对1m长的样品在77K下在整个1cm带宽上测量临界电流Ic值为176A。
实施例2
第一个炉具有两个温度不同的区域。样品首先通过的区域的温度T1为775℃,第二区域的温度T2为740℃。样品在第一区域的停留时间约为0.3分钟,在第二区域的停留时间为1.5分钟。在第一个炉中,使水蒸气、氮气和氧气的混合物在10毫巴的总压下流经样品。水流速为160g/h,氮气流速为100l/h。水分压为6.5毫巴,氧气分压为0.25毫巴。将样品以20m/h的速度移动通过炉,其对应于第一个炉中5.5分钟的停留时间。
通过第二个炉与实施例1中描述的第二个炉相同。
在整个1厘米的带宽上,对该样品感应测得161A的临界电流。从相当样品的传输测量中获得相似的Ic值。在图4中,描绘了样品由第一个炉离开后(曲线1-点)和由第二个炉离开后(曲线2)的XRD光谱。图4的XRD数据表明大部分YBCO在第二次通过期间形成。

7.根据权利要求1-6中任一项的方法,其中膜连续地通过不同的炉。
8.根据权利要求1-7中任一项的方法,其中膜包含钇、钡和铜。
9.根据权利要求1-8中任一项的方法,其中在膜中过渡金属和钇或稀土金属的摩尔比为3:1.0-3:1.5。
