本发明提供一种MPA生产工艺，具体流程如下：将一定量的2-甲基-3-丁炔-2-醇(MB)和水以1:1 的比例（质量比）以及催化剂叔丁基铝加入到反应釜中，搅拌，升温到60-65℃，在此温度下通入氨气，尾气用水吸收。反应完后，静置，上层为粗品，经精馏可得成品。下层废水经中和后排入污水收集池，经调节后处理达标后排放。
