本发明涉及金属加工油组合物。
背景技术
作为金属加工油组合物,广泛使用以矿物油、合成油作为基础油并向其中配合了各种添加剂的组合物。另外,对于金属加工油组合物而言,不仅要求加工性能、耐磨耗性,还要求闪点高。例如提出了在基础油中含有酯油、烃油、以组合物总量基准计为0.005~20质量%的极压剂,40℃下的运动粘度为37mm2/s以下且闪点为250℃以上的金属加工油组合物(专利文献1)。

发明内容
发明要解决的问题
另一方面,在金属加工领域中,如切削加工那样地为了提高生产率,还存在更高速化正在发展的加工领域。
然而,专利文献1所记载的金属加工油组合物的闪点高,但实现切削加工的高速化时,会产生大量油烟。
因而,本发明的目的在于,提供加工性能高、耐磨耗性优异且能够抑制油烟发生的金属加工油组合物。
用于解决问题的手段
为了解决前述课题,本发明提供下示那样的金属加工油组合物。
(1)金属加工油组合物,其特征在于,配合有(A)多元醇与脂肪酸的酯、以及(B)单质硫,40℃运动粘度为5mm2/s以上且70mm2/s以下,闪点为200℃以上。
根据本发明,可提供加工性能高、耐磨耗性优异且能够抑制油烟发生的金属加工油组合物。因此,本发明的金属加工油组合物可特别适合地用于高速切削加工的领域。
具体实施方式
本发明的金属加工油组合物(以下也称为“该组合物”)的特征在于,配合有(A)多元醇与脂肪酸的酯、以及(B)单质硫,40℃运动粘度为5mm2/s以上且70mm2/s以下,闪点为200℃以上。
以下针对该组合物进行详细说明。
〔(A)成分〕
该组合物中的(A)成分为多元醇与脂肪酸的酯。
此处,作为多元醇,优选为2价~10价的醇,更优选为2价~6价的醇,进一步优选为2价~5价的醇。作为这种多元醇,可列举出例如乙二醇、二乙二醇、丙二醇、二丙二醇、丁二醇、新戊二醇、甘油、三羟甲基乙烷、三羟甲基丙烷、季戊四醇和山梨糖醇等。这些多元醇可以混合使用2种以上。
这些多元醇之中,从热稳定性和耐氧化稳定性的观点出发,优选使用三羟甲基丙烷、季戊四醇、新戊二醇和甘油之中的至少任一者。
作为构成(A)成分的脂肪酸,没有特别限定,优选为碳原子数6以上且26以下的脂肪酸。作为这种脂肪酸,可列举出例如十七烷酸、辛酸、十九烷酸、硬脂酸、花生酸、山嵛酸、异硬脂酸、反油酸、油酸、亚油酸和亚麻酸等。这些脂肪酸之中,更优选使用碳原子数8~18的脂肪酸。
上述脂肪酸的碳原子数为6以上时,该组合物的闪点不会变低,碳原子数为26以下时,该组合物的粘度不会变高,附着于被加工物而被带走的量少,是经济的。
作为(A)成分的多元醇的脂肪酸酯可以通过上述多元醇与上述脂肪酸的脱水反应而得到,但不限定于多元醇与脂肪酸的脱水反应,可以使用酯交换法。
(A)成分的40℃运动粘度优选为4mm2/s以上且69mm2/s以下,更优选为8mm2/s以上且60mm2/s以下,进一步优选为12mm2/s以上且50mm2/s以下。(A)成分的40℃运动粘度为4mm2/s以上时,在金属加工时能够充分保持润滑性,且能够将闪点控制得高,也能够抑制油烟、灰雾的发生。(A)成分的40℃运动粘度为69mm2/s以下时,能够减少加工时的该组合物的消耗量(损失量)。
(A)成分的配合量以该组合物总量基准计优选为10质量%以上,优选为40质量%以上,进一步优选为80质量%以上。(A)成分的配合量为上述下限值以上时,该组合物的摩擦系数下降,能够充分地确保加工性。
此处,(A)成分的闪点优选为200℃以上,更优选为250℃以上。通过使(A)成分的闪点为200℃以上,容易使制成该组合物时的闪点为200℃以上。
〔(B)成分〕
该组合物中的(B)成分为单质硫。通过配合单质硫,能够提高加工性而不降低油的闪点(不使油烟发生量增加)。此处,加工性的提高是指抑制工具的磨耗、或者提高加工精度、或者在切削加工的情况下降低切削阻力等。
作为单质硫,可以使用块状、粉末状和熔融液状等任意形态的单质硫。粉末状的所谓粉末硫的操作性优异,另外可高效地溶解在(A)成分中,故而优选。
该组合物中的(B)成分的配合量没有特别限定,以组合物总量基准计优选为0.05质量%以上且1质量%以下,更优选为0.1质量%以上且0.7质量%以下,进一步优选为0.15质量%以上且0.6质量%以下,最优选为0.2质量%以上且0.5质量%以下。
(B)成分的配合量为0.05质量%以上时,能够充分降低摩擦系数,并且耐磨耗性也提高,能够有效地抑制油烟的发生。另外,(B)成分的配合量为1质量%以下时,能够确保(B)成分在(A)成分中的溶解性且充分地抑制油烟的发生。
〔该组合物〕
该组合物以上述(A)成分和(B)成分作为必须构成要素、40℃运动粘度为5mm2/s以上且70mm2/s以下时,加工性能高,且能够充分地抑制高速加工时产生的油烟。尤其是,在容易产生油烟的100m/分钟以上的高速切削加工时,会进一步发挥出该组合物的效果。
该组合物的40℃运动粘度为5mm2/s以上时,加工性优异,并且还能够抑制灰雾的发生,进而能够将闪点控制得充分高。另外,该组合物的40℃运动粘度为70mm2/s以下时,能够减少加工时的该组合物的消耗量(损失量)。因此,该组合物的40℃运动粘度优选为10mm2/s以上且60mm2/s以下,更优选为15mm2/s以上且50mm2/s以下。
另外,该组合物的闪点为200℃以上时,加工时的起火危险性小。因此,例如在工厂等处,能够减少用于应对消防法的设备。该组合物的闪点优选为250℃以上。
另外,该组合物的动摩擦系数优选为0.05以上且0.2以下。动摩擦系数为0.05以上时,在应用于切削加工的情况下,工具容易咬合于被切削材料,加工性能提高。动摩擦系数为0.2以下时,能够减小工具与被切削材料的摩擦力,能够充分地保持加工性能。需要说明的是,此处,动摩擦系数是指在后述往返动摩擦试验中测定的动摩擦系数。
动摩擦系数处于小范围时,在将这种该组合物用于金属加工的情况下,加工性能高,能够延长工具寿命。可特别适合地用于切削加工。
〔(C)成分〕
该组合物以上述(A)成分和(B)成分作为必须成分,优选的是,还配合有作为(C)成分的硫化油脂。通过配合硫化油脂,还能够降低摩擦系数,针对耐磨耗性也能够进一步提高。另外,能够进一步抑制油烟的发生。
此处,硫化油脂是指使硫、含硫化合物与油脂(猪油、鲸油、植物油和鱼油等)反应而得到的,可列举出例如硫化猪油、硫化菜籽油、硫化蓖麻油、硫化大豆油和硫化米糠油等。
(C)成分的40℃运动粘度优选为100mm2/s以上且2000mm2/s以下,更优选为200mm2/s以上且1800mm2/s以下,进一步优选为300mm2/s以上且1500mm2/s以下。
(C)成分的40℃运动粘度为100mm2/s以上时,能够有效地降低该组合物的摩擦系数,加工性提高。另外,(C)成分的40℃运动粘度为2000mm2/s以下时,能够减少加工时的该组合物的消耗量(损失量)。尤其是,在切削加工时,能够降低切削碎屑的带走量、泵的负担也变少。
(C)成分的闪点优选为200℃以上、更优选为250℃以上。通过使(C)成分的闪点为200℃以上,容易使制成该组合物时的闪点为200℃以上。
(C)成分的配合量以组合物总量基准计优选为0.5质量%以上且30质量%以下,更优选为1质量%以上且20质量%以下,进一步优选为2质量%以上且15质量%以下。(C)成分的配合量为0.5质量%以上时,能够提高该组合物的耐磨耗性,并且降低摩擦系数,有助于提高加工性。另外,(C)成分的配合量为30质量%以下时,能够抑制该组合物的粘度,能够减少加工时的该组合物的消耗量(损失量)。尤其是,在切削加工时,能够降低切削碎屑的带走量,泵的负担也变少。
此处,在该组合物中,(C)成分与(B)成分的质量配合比(C)/(B)优选为2以上且75以下,更优选为4以上且50以下,进一步优选为7以上且30以下。
(C)/(B)为2以上时,能够充分提高该组合物的耐磨耗性。另外,(C)/(B)为75以下时,能够充分提高该组合物的极压性。即,(C)/(B)处于上述范围时,能够兼顾该组合物的耐磨耗性和极压性,其结果,能够有效地达成该组合物的高加工性以及抑制油烟的发生。
该组合物中,在不损害本发明效果的范围内,可以配合各种基础油和添加剂。
此处,本发明中,配合有前述(A)成分和前述(B)成分的组合物不仅是指“包含(A)成分和(B)成分的组合物”,还包括如下意义:“为了代替(A)成分和(B)成分中的至少一种成分而包含该成分经改性而得到的改性物的组合物”、“包含由(A)成分与(B)成分反应而成的反应产物的组合物”。配合本发明的前述(C)成分和各种基础油和添加剂的情况也是相同的。
作为基础油,没有特别限定,可列举出矿物油、合成油。作为矿物油,可列举出各种基础油。可列举出例如:将链烷烃基系原油、中间基系原油或环烷烃基系原油进行常压蒸馏或者将常压蒸馏的残渣油进行减压蒸馏而得到的馏出油;或者按照常规方法对其进行精制而得到的精制油,例如溶剂精制油、加氢精制油、脱蜡处理油、白土处理油等。
另外,作为合成油,可列举出酯、聚-α-烯烃、烯烃共聚物烷基苯、烷基萘、聚氧亚烷基二醇、聚苯基醚等。
这些之中,作为酯,具体而言,可列举出例如棕榈酸辛酯、棕榈酸2-乙基己酯、硬脂酸辛酯和油酸2-乙基己酯等。作为聚-α-烯烃,可列举出例如聚丁烯、1-辛烯低聚物、1-癸烯低聚物等。作为烯烃共聚物,可列举出例如乙烯-丙烯共聚物等。
这些合成油之中,从低粘度且高闪点的观点出发,更适合使用酯。
该组合物中,矿物油可以使用上述之中的1种,也可以组合使用2种以上。另外,合成油可以使用上述1种,也可以组合使用2种以上。进而,还可以将1种以上的矿物油与1种以上的合成油组合使用。
但是,配合上述的各种基础油时,作为该组合物,40℃运动粘度需要为5mm2/s以上且70mm2/s以下,闪点需要为200℃以上。
作为能够配合于该组合物的添加剂,可列举出极压剂、油性剂、抗氧化剂、防锈剂、金属惰化剂和消泡剂等。它们可以单独使用1种或者组合使用2种以上。
作为极压剂,可列举出硫系极压剂、磷系极压剂、包含硫和金属的极压剂、包含磷和金属的极压剂。这些极压剂可以单独使用1种或者组合使用2种以上。作为极压剂,只要是分子中包含硫原子或磷原子且能够发挥出耐载重性、耐磨耗性的极压剂即可。作为分子中包含硫的极压剂,可列举出例如硫化脂肪酸、硫化酯、硫化烯烃、二羟基多硫化物、噻二唑化合物、烷基硫代氨甲酰基化合物、三嗪化合物、硫代萜烯化合物、二烷基硫代二丙酸酯化合物等。从配合效果的观点出发,这些极压剂以组合物总量基准计以达到0.05质量%以上且0.5质量%以下左右的方式进行配合。
作为油性剂,可列举出脂肪族醇、脂肪酸、脂肪酸金属盐等脂肪酸化合物、多元醇酯、山梨糖醇酐酯、甘油酯等酯化合物、脂肪族胺等胺化合物等。作为脂肪酸,可列举出油酸、月桂酸等。
从配合效果的观点出发,这些油性剂的配合量以组合物总量基准计为0.1质量%以上且30质量%以下左右,优选为0.5质量%以上且10质量%以下左右。
作为抗氧化剂,可以使用胺系抗氧化剂、酚系抗氧化剂和硫系抗氧化剂。这些抗氧化剂可以单独使用一种或者组合使用两种以上。
作为胺系抗氧化剂,可列举出例如单辛基二苯基胺、单壬基二苯基胺等单烷基二苯基胺系化合物;4,4’-二丁基二苯基胺、4,4’-二戊基二苯基胺、4,4’-二己基二苯基胺、4,4’-二庚基二苯基胺、4,4’-二辛基二苯基胺、4,4’-二壬基二苯基胺等二烷基二苯基胺系化合物;四丁基二苯基胺、四己基二苯基胺、四辛基二苯基胺、四壬基二苯基胺等聚烷基二苯基胺系化合物;α-萘基胺、苯基-α-萘基胺、丁基苯基-α-萘基胺、戊基苯基-α-萘基胺、己基苯基-α-萘基胺、庚基苯基-α-萘基胺、辛基苯基-α-萘基胺、壬基苯基-α-萘基胺等萘基胺系化合物。
作为酚系抗氧化剂,可列举出例如2,6-二叔丁基-4-甲基苯酚、2,6-二叔丁基-4-乙基苯酚等单酚系化合物;4,4’-亚甲基双(2,6-二叔丁基苯酚)、2,2’-亚甲基双(4-乙基-6-叔丁基苯酚)等双酚系化合物。
作为硫系抗氧化剂,可列举出例如2,6-二-叔丁基-4-(4,6-双(辛硫基)-1,3,5-三嗪-2-基氨基)苯酚、五硫化磷与蒎烯的反应物等硫代萜烯系化合物、二月桂基硫代二丙酸酯、二硬脂基硫代二丙酸酯等二烷基硫代二丙酸酯等。
这些抗氧化剂的配合量以组合物总量基准计为0.01质量%以上且10质量%以下左右,优选为0.03质量%以上且5质量%以下左右。
作为防锈剂,可列举出金属系磺酸盐、琥珀酸酯等。这些防锈剂的配合量从配合效果的观点出发,以组合物总量基准计为0.01质量%以上且10质量%以下左右,优选为0.05质量%以上且5质量%以下左右。
作为金属惰化剂,可列举出苯并三唑、噻二唑等。从配合效果的观点出发,这些金属惰化剂的优选配合量以组合物总量基准计为0.01质量%以上且10质量%以下左右,优选为0.01质量%以上且1质量%以下左右。
作为消泡剂,可列举出甲基硅油、氟代硅油和聚丙烯酸酯等。这些消泡剂的配合量从配合效果的观点出发以组合物总量基准计为0.0005质量%以上且0.01质量%以下左右。
实施例
〔实施例1~6、比较例1~5〕
制备表1所示配合组成的金属加工油组合物,作为评价用的试样油。以下示出所用各成分的详情。

<(A)成分>
酯1:季戊四醇四酯、40℃运动粘度 33.5mm2/s、闪点 280℃
酯2:三羟甲基丙烷三酯、40℃运动粘度 49.5mm2/s、闪点 320℃
酯3:三羟甲基丙烷三酯、40℃运动粘度 16.1mm2/s、闪点 264℃。
<矿物油>
矿物油1:链烷烃系、40℃运动粘度45.1mm2/s、闪点:266℃
矿物油2:链烷烃系、40℃运动粘度9.92mm2/s、闪点:176℃。
<(B)成分>
单质硫:细井化学制 粉末硫。
<(C)成分>
硫化油脂:40℃运动粘度 705.8mm2/s、闪点 250℃、硫成分 7质量%。
<其它成分>
多硫化物:大日本油墨株式会社制 DAILUBE GS-440L
高碱性磺酸钙:Chevron Japan Limited.制 OLOA247E。
〔评价方法〕
针对各试样油,测定40℃运动粘度(按照JIS K 2283)和闪点(按照JIS K 2265,COC法),并且在下述条件下进行油烟发生试验、熔敷试验(溶着試験)和往返动摩擦试验。将结果示于表1。
(1)油烟发生试验
向加热至185℃的钢板(SPCC-SD)上滴加0.2mL的试样油,在其上倒置放置300mL的玻璃制烧杯。透过烧杯的壁面目视观察经过1分钟后的油烟发生量,按照以下基准评价油烟的产生程度。
A:基本未产生油烟
B:略微确认到产生油烟
C:确认到产生大量油烟。
(2)熔敷试验
通过壳牌四球试验(按照ASTM D 2783)来求出熔敷载重(WL:单位为N)。
(3)往返动摩擦试验
试验机: ORIENTEC CORPORATION制 F-2100
球: 3/16英寸SUJ2
试验板: SPCC-SD
滑动速度: 20mm/s
滑动距离: 2cm
载重: 3kgf(29.4N)
试验温度: 25℃
评价项目: 滑动第30次的摩擦系数。
〔评价结果〕
根据表1的结果可理解:本发明的金属加工油组合物即实施例1~6的试样油中产生的油烟均少、熔敷载重极高、耐磨耗性优异,进而摩擦系数低、加工性也优异。另外还可理解为:与实施例4相比,配合有(C)成分的实施例1~3、5、6的摩擦系数更低、加工性更优异。
与此相对,比较例1~5的试样油欠缺本发明的规定构成中的至少任一者,因此无法满足抑制油烟发生、耐磨耗性和加工性中的所有项。
产业利用性
本发明的金属加工油组合物可适合地用于切削、研削等金属加工。
Claims (9)
1.金属加工油组合物,其特征在于,配合有(A)多元醇与脂肪酸的酯、以及(B)单质硫,
40℃运动粘度为5mm2/s以上且70mm2/s以下,闪点为200℃以上。
2.根据权利要求1所述的金属加工油组合物,其特征在于,
所述(A)成分中的多元醇为新戊二醇、甘油、季戊四醇和三羟甲基丙烷中的至少任一者。
3.根据权利要求1或权利要求2所述的金属加工油组合物,其特征在于,
所述(A)成分的40℃运动粘度为4mm2/s以上且69mm2/s以下。
4.根据权利要求1~权利要求3中任一项所述的金属加工油组合物,其特征在于,
所述(B)成分的配合量以组合物总量基准计为0.05质量%以上且1质量%以下。
5.根据权利要求1或权利要求4中任一项所述的金属加工油组合物,其特征在于,
还配合有(C)硫化油脂。
6.根据权利要求5所述的金属加工油组合物,其特征在于,
所述(C)成分的配合量以组合物总量基准计为0.5质量%以上且30质量%以下。
7.根据权利要求5或权利要求6所述的金属加工油组合物,其特征在于,
所述(C)成分与所述(B)成分的质量配合比(C)/(B)为2以上且75以下。
8.根据权利要求5~权利要求7中任一项所述的金属加工油组合物,其特征在于,
所述(C)成分的40℃运动粘度为100mm2/s以上且2000mm2/s以下。
9.根据权利要求1~权利要求8中任一项所述的金属加工油组合物,其特征在于,其为切削油组合物。
