背景技术
随着科技的发展,消费电子产品由于逐渐增强的功能性和移动性而日趋扮演更重要的角色。例如,手机、导航设备、嵌入设备以及其它能够提供许多除核心应用以外的很多功能的这种设备。但是,增强的功能给与使用的电子设备相关的学习曲线增添了一些难度,并且增强的移动性强化了简单机构与正常运行的设备进行交互的需求。例如,现有的系统趋于具有复杂的人机交互界面,而这种人机交互界面可能会抑制大众市场采用各种技术。例如,当用户希望在手机上执行相对简单的任务如购买手机铃声时,用户通常被迫浏览一系列菜单并且按下一系列按钮。在某些情况下,这可能会导致不必要的事项出现,因为用户希望能够完全防止出现麻烦。同样,还有对以直观方式开发科技的方法的日益增长的要求。

缺乏合适的语音用户界面将会导致失去向用户提供有价值的相关信息的机会。这不仅可能会使用户的问题得不到解决,而且在特定情况下,商品和服务的供应商还可能会失去潜在的商业机会。在日益增长的全球市场中,商人们一直在寻找一种新的并且有效的方法与消费者沟通,而现有的语音用户界面存在的问题使得很大一部分消费者的要求无法得到满足。此外,现有的市场营销、广告或其它号召消费者的现有技术都未能有效地利用语音信息,语音信息是人类交流中最自然、最直观的方法之一。
现有的系统存在有这些以及其它的问题。
发明内容
根据本发明的各方面,提供一种用于基于语音输入的自然语言处理的选择和演示广告的系统和方法。自然语言语音输入由语音用户界面接收。所述语音输入可以包括用户话语,并且可以从所述话语中识别请求。为了服务所述请求可以采取适当的行动,同时可以为用户选择和演示一个或多个广告。可以基于各种标准选择广告,所述标准包括输入的内容(例如概念、语义指示符等)、与输入相关的(例如与请求、被请求的应用程序等相关的)行为、用户描述(例如人口统计、喜好、位置等)或其它方式。接下来,用户可以与广告交互(例如借助语音输入),并且可以相应于该交互而采取行动。此外,可以追踪所述交互,从而可以基于广告、用户描述、情境、主题、语义指示符、概念或其它标准之间的密切关系或群建立用户行为的统计学描述。

参考图1,示出了根据本发明各方面的用于实现语音用户界面的示例性系统100。系统100能够使用户在启用语音的设备上执行各种任务。例如,用户可以控制导航设备、媒体设备、个人电脑、个人数据助理或任何支持语音输入的其它设备。系统100可以利用包括自然语言语音输入的技术手段使用户能够请求启用语音的设备检索信息或执行各种任务。例如,系统100可以利用包括如下文献中记载的技术解析自然语言的语音输入并且生成响应,即2003年6月3日提交的名称为“响应自然语言语音话语的系统和方法”、系列号为10/452,147的共同待审的美国专利申请;以及2003年6月15日提交的名称为“响应自然语言语音话语的移动系统和方法”、系列号为10,618,633的美国专利申请,这两篇文献均被整体结合于此作为参考。

可以联系请求基于各种标准来选择广告。例如,可以基于请求的词语或其它内容、涉及请求的词语或其它内容的相关词语或内容来选择广告,等等。在另一个示例中,可以基于被请求的任务/信息选择广告(例如电影放映的请求可能会导致选择特定影院的广告)。在另一个示例中,可以基于与被请求任务/信息相关的主题或类型选择广告(例如,购买机票的请求可以导致选择与预定航线相关的目的地的酒店的广告)。在另一个示例中,可以基于位置信息(例如可以基于利用导航设备识别的用户的地理位置附近来选择广告)、用户特定的和/或全局的用户描述(例如可以基于用户特定的和/或全局的喜好、广告商活动标准等选择广告)选择广告。
基于语音的输入的内容可以根据各种标准确定,包括情境或概念上的信息(例如语义指示符、限定词或其它信息)。例如,给定的概念可以包括各种语义上等价的具有相同意思的指示符。因此,例如,基于语音的输入可以是“播放歌曲!”、“播放音乐”或其它变化形式,其每一个都可以被解析为与特定主题(或概念)“音乐”相关。因此,请求中的概念或内容信息可以用于选择广告。例如,用户可以请求计算华盛顿州西雅图市的路线(例如“我如何到达SpaceNeedle?”)。基于被请求的任务的情境(例如“导航”,“西雅图”等),语音搜索引擎可以检索SpaceNeedle的地址,而导航应用程序可以计算路线。此外,用户描述信息可以指示用户正在从城外访问西雅图(例如所述描述可以显示出用户的家在Sacramento),因此,可以选择西雅图的流行景点的广告。在另一个示例中,用户可以请求与体育事件相关的信息(例如“给我周日老鹰队比赛的开场时间”)。基于被请求信息的情境(例如“搜索”、“体育”、“费城”等),可以对被请求的信息重新进行搜索,同时可选择老鹰队的队服或纪念品的广告。
在各实例中,包含在请求中或可以从请求中推断出的概念、语义指示符、限定词或其它信息可以指示出请求的探索性质。换句话说,探索性请求可以识别会话的目标,而不是要执行的特殊任务或要检索的信息。同样的,在各种应用中,为了使会话朝向所述目标发展,可以在操作320中选择广告。例如,探索性请求可以包括导航路线的请求(例如“我想到博物馆去,帮我找出一些有趣的东西”)。基于被请求任务的情境(例如“导航”,“景点”等),可以识别会话的目标,并且可以在操作315中服务所述请求(例如语音搜索引擎可以基于用户优选的主题定位附近的景点)。此外,广告应用程序可以在操作320中选择适当的广告,其中广告可选择成尝试使得所述会话朝向所述目标发展。例如,统计学描述(例如用户描述、全局描述、基于主题的描述等)可以反映出特定博物馆的广告和与请求用户具有相似人口统计或其它特性的其它用户之间的密切关系。因此,除了在操作315中重新检索有关博物馆的信息,还可以在操作320中选择用户可能会感兴趣的博物馆的广告。
在各种实例中,请求可以包括不完整的、模糊的、未能识别的或其它不充分的语义指示符、情境、限定词或其它识别所述请求所需的信息。换句话说,所述请求可以包括要识别的不充分的信息或者推断要执行的任务、要检索的信息或会话的目标。因此,可以基于共享的知识从所述请求中提取和/或推断出尽可能多的信息,该共享的知识为比如情境、用户或全局描述信息、之前的话语、之前的会话等。同样的,服务所述请求可以包括生成响应和/或与广告应用程序通讯,以便使会话朝向可服务的请求发展。例如,在操作315中服务所述请求以及在操作320中选择广告可以包括生成响应和/或选择广告以制定之后的用户输入,从而使会话向前发展。
例如,所述请求可以包括不完整的、模糊的或未能识别的信息(例如“你知道[含糊的词语]西雅图吗?”)。可以识别被请求的任务的情境(例如“西雅图”),但是被识别的情境不足以合适地采取行动以服务所述请求。可以基于会话中之前的话语、描述信息或其它信息推断出额外的信息。但是,当额外信息不能提供充足的信息以推断出合理的假设时,在操作315中服务所述请求可以包括生成响应以进展之后的用户输入并且使会话向前发展(例如可以基于用户的优选主题检索关于各主题的信息)。此外,在操作320中广告应用程序可以选择广告,以便使会话向前发展(例如可以基于反映出与西雅图有关的特定广告和用户喜好、描述等之间的密切关系的用户和/或全局描述来选择广告)。因此,通过选择广告、指出广告不令人满意的地方或者与广告交互,所述交互可以用于为之后的会话过程建立情境和共享的知识。例如,用户可以选择广告,并且对之后基于语音的输入的解析(例如“电话通知他们”,“价格范围是多少?”等)可以用基于语音的输入所涉及的广告的共享知识进行解析。因此,广告可以以使广告商向消费者推销的方式进行使用,同时改进消费者与设备的交互。其它的优点对本领域技术人员来说是显而易见的。
显而易见的是,操作320可以利用各种技术基于语音输入和/或包含于语音输入中的请求选择广告。例如,广告商可以限定目标观众、营销标准、活动策略、预算限制、概念、语义指示符、相关主题、类型和/或与广告相关的任何其它适当的信息。例如,广告商可以支付额外费用以使一广告相对于类似广告(例如与竞争者相关的广告)处于优先位置。在另一个示例中,各种统计学描述可以定义广告、主题、用户等之间的密切关系(例如基于点击率或转换率、或其它追踪信息,如下文中将详细描述的)。因此,可以在操作320中利用各种技术包括请求的内容、与所述请求相关的行为/行动、用户描述、用户喜好、统计规格、广告商特定标准来选择广告,以使会话向前发展、解决模糊的请求,或者利用其它方式,这是显而易见的。
在操作325中向用户演示的输出可以以各种方式提供给用户。例如,在各种应用中,输出可以包括基于语音或音频的响应。在另一个示例中,当相关设备包括显示设备时,输出可以显示在显示设备上。显而易见的是,还可以使用上述方式的许多组合或变形,如利用显示设备上的信息增强语音响应。例如,用户可以请求与餐馆有关的信息,广告可以基于指示出用户最喜爱某种类型的餐厅的用户喜好进行选择(例如可以基于指示出用户喜好中餐的用户描述来选择中餐馆)。因此,在一个示例中,在操作325中演示的输出可以显示与请求信息匹配的各个餐馆的信息,同时可以向用户演示中餐馆的语音广告(例如通过麦克风或其它向用户播放语音的适当的设备)。许多其它的变形也是显而易见的(例如,可以在显示设备上显示图形广告,同时可以以音频播放对应的或不同的语音广告)。
可以在决策操作330中监测在用户与被演示的广告之间的之后交互。例如,当用户选择与广告交互时,可以在操作335中基于交互采取行动。所述交互可以是各种形式,包括额外的语音输入或用于与广告交互的其它适合的形式(例如,用附带的笔点击显示在个人数据助理上的广告)。例如,用户起初可以从启用语音的媒体设备(例如卫星广播器)中请求与当前播放的歌曲相关的信息(例如“这是什么歌?”)。除了输出与歌曲有关的被请求信息外(例如,“这首歌为由Dave和AnselCollins演唱的DoubleBarrel。”),被选择的广告可以使用户购买与这首歌对应的手机铃声。在这个示例中,交互可包括购买铃声的请求(例如“好的,我要购买它”),并且在操作335中采取的行动可以包括完成购买铃声的交易和/或将铃声下载到手机上。此外,可以在操作340中基于所述交互,利用与操作320有关的相似技术选择额外的广告(例如可以选择额外的铃声、相似的音乐家等的广告)。接下来,处理过程可返回到操作325以显示由交互产生的输出。
可以在操作345中追踪用户广告交互。例如,操作345可以追踪与用户、会话、主题、情境或其它标准有关的历史数据,以便将信息与所选广告联系在一起。因此追踪信息可以用于建立统计学描述,该统计学描述定义了密切关系、点击率或转换率,或者其它与各广告、主题相关的信息或其它在用户特定和/或全局用户水平上的标准。因此,可以在广告、主题、概念、统计或其它基于用户对广告的行为的标准(例如用户是否在操作330中与广告交互)之间生成组或图。
例如,某些广告相对于第一个情境和/或主题可能会经历高的点击率,但是相对于第二个情境和/或主题可能经历低的点击率,因此,当请求涉及第一个情境和/或主题时,更有可能在随后的操作320/340中选择广告。在另一个示例中,全局统计学描述可以指示出,广告对于特定人口统计的用户会经历更多的点击,因此,所述广告更可能被落入该人口统计中的用户所选择。许多用于追踪和建立统计学描述的不同技术都是显而易见的。
本发明可应用于硬件、固件、软件或它们的组合中。本发明还可以被实现为储存在可机读的介质上的指令,其可以由一个或多个处理器阅读和执行。可机读的介质可以包括任何用于以机器可读的方式储存或传输信息的设备(例如计算机设备)。例如,可机读储存介质可以包括只读存储器、随机存取存储器、磁盘储存介质、光存储介质、闪存设备及其它介质,而可机读传输介质可以包括各种形式的传播信号,如载波、红外信号、数字信号及其它。此外,在上述公开中根据本发明的特定示例方面和实施方式描述了固件、软件、程序或指令,并且它们可以执行某些行动。但是,显而易见的是,这种描述仅仅是出于方便的考虑,并且这些行动实际上是由计算机设备、处理器、控制器或其它执行固件、软件、程序、或指令的设备所产生的。
本发明的各方面和实施方式可以被描述为包括特定特征、结构或特性,但每个方面或实施方式都不是必须包括所述特定特征、结构或特性。此外,当将某特定特征、结构或特性与某一方面或实施方式结合在一起描述时,应当认为无论是否清楚地加以描述,该特征、结构、或特性与其它方面或实施方式的结合都是显而易见。因此,在不背离本发明的范围和精神的前提下可以做出各种变化和修改。说明书和附图应当认为仅仅是示例性的,本发明的范围应当根据所附权利要求加以确定。

Claims (18)

1.一种用于响应于处理自然语言话语来选择和演示广告的方法,包括:
在服务器处识别在包含有请求的自然语言话语中的一个或多个词语或短语,其中所述服务器包括语音识别引擎,所述语音识别引擎识别所述自然语言话语中的所述一个或多个词语或短语;
在耦合到所述服务器和所述语音识别引擎的会话式语言处理器处解析所识别出的词语或短语,以建立与所述自然语言话语关联的情境;
将所建立的与所述自然语言话语关联的情境中的广告从所述服务器递送到与所述服务器通信的电子设备,其中所述广告与以下中的一个或多个有关:所识别出的词语或短语,与所述请求关联的行为,从与特定用户关联的交互模式得出的个性化认知模型,从与多个用户关联的交互模式得出的一般化认知模型,或者从与所述特定用户关联的环境状况或周边环境得出的环境模型;
在所述服务器处跟踪与递送到所述电子设备的广告关联的交互模式;
在所述服务器处基于所跟踪的与所述广告关联的交互模式来更新所述个性化认知模型、所述一般化认知模型和所述环境模型;
在所述服务器处根据经更新的个性化认知模型、经更新的一般化认知模型和经更新的环境模型来构建长期的共享知识和短期的共享知识;以及
在所述会话式语言处理器处使用长期的共享知识和短期的共享知识来解析随后的自然语言话语。
2.如权利要求1所述的方法,其中经更新的个性化认知模型、经更新的一般化认知模型和经更新的环境模型提供统计描述,以响应于所述随后的自然语言话语来选择一个或多个随后的广告。
3.如权利要求2所述的方法,其中所述统计描述识别被递送到所述电子设备的广告与所识别出的词语或短语、与所述请求关联的行为、经更新的个性化认知模型、经更新的一般化认知模型、或经更新的环境模型中的一个或多个之间的一个或多个密切关系。
4.如权利要求1所述的方法,其中所跟踪的与所述广告关联的交互模式包括与所述电子设备在其中与所述广告交互的随后的请求关联的信息。
5.如权利要求4所述的方法,其中所述电子设备在其中与所述广告交互的随后的请求包括所述电子设备发起关于所述广告的任务或发起关于所述广告的查询。
6.如权利要求1所述的方法,进一步包括在所述会话式语言处理器处使用所跟踪的与所述广告关联的交互模式,以响应于确定所述自然语言话语包括不完整或模糊的信息来解决所述请求。
7.如权利要求1所述的方法,其中所述语音识别引擎使用基于当前对话和一个或多个先前对话的历史而动态更新的多个字典和短语条目来识别所述自然语言话语中的所述一个或多个词语或短语。
8.如权利要求7所述的方法,其中所述多个字典和短语条目进一步基于从当前对话或先前对话的历史得出的一个或多个模糊集概率或先验概率而动态更新。
9.一种响应于自然语言话语来选择和演示广告的系统,包括:
语音识别引擎,被配置为识别在包含有请求的自然语言话语中的一个或多个词语或短语;
会话式语言处理器,被配置为解析所识别出的词语或短语以建立与所述自然语言话语关联的情境;以及
与所述语音识别引擎和所述会话式语言处理器关联的服务器,其中所述服务器被配置为:
将所建立的与所述自然语言话语关联的情境中的广告递送到与所述服务器通信的电子设备,其中所述广告与以下中的一个或多个有关:所识别出的词语或短语,与包含在所述话语中的请求关联的行为,从与特定用户关联的交互模式得出的个性化认知模型,从与多个用户关联的交互模式得出的一般化认知模型,或者从与所述特定用户关联的环境状况或周边环境得出的环境模型;
跟踪与递送到所述电子设备的广告关联的交互模式;
基于所跟踪的与所述广告关联的交互模式来更新所述个性化认知模型、所述一般化认知模型和所述环境模型;及
根据经更新的个性化认知模型、经更新的一般化认知模型和经更新的环境模型来构建长期的共享知识和短期的共享知识,其中所述会话式语言处理器被进一步配置为使用长期的共享知识和短期的共享知识来解析随后的自然语言话语。
10.如权利要求9所述的系统,其中经更新的个性化认知模型、经更新的一般化认知模型和经更新的环境模型提供统计描述,以响应于所述随后的自然语言话语选择一个或多个随后的广告。
11.如权利要求10所述的系统,其中所述统计描述识别被递送到所述电子设备的广告与所识别出的词语或短语、与所述请求关联的行为、经更新的个性化认知模型、经更新的一般化认知模型、或经更新的环境模型中的一个或多个之间的一个或多个密切关系。
12.如权利要求9所述的系统,其中所跟踪的与所述广告关联的交互模式包括与所述电子设备在其中与所述广告交互的随后的请求关联的信息。
13.如权利要求12所述的系统,其中所述电子设备在其中与所述广告交互的随后的请求包括关于所述广告的、所述电子设备发起的任务或所述电子设备发起的查询。
14.如权利要求9所述的系统,其中所述会话式语言处理器进一步被配置为使用所跟踪的与所述广告关联的交互模式以响应于所述自然语言话语包括不完整或模糊的信息来解决所述请求。
15.如权利要求9所述的系统,其中所述语音识别引擎被配置为使用基于当前对话和一个或多个先前对话的历史而动态更新的多个字典和短语条目来识别所述自然语言话语中的所述一个或多个词语或短语。
16.如权利要求15所述的系统,其中所述多个字典和短语条目进一步基于从当前对话或先前对话的历史得出的一个或多个模糊集概率或先验概率而动态更新。
17.一种响应于处理自然语言话语来选择和演示广告的方法,包括:
在执行于服务器上的语音识别引擎处识别自然语言话语中的一个或多个词语或短语;
在执行于所述服务器上的会话式语言处理器处解析所识别出的所述一个或多个词语或短语,以建立与所述自然语言话语关联的情境;
将所建立的与所述自然语言话语关联的情境中的广告从所述服务器递送到与所述服务器通信的电子设备;
在所述服务器处跟踪与递送到所述电子设备的广告关联的交互模式;
在所述服务器处基于所跟踪的与所述广告关联的交互模式来更新一个或多个模型,其中经更新的所述一个或多个模型包括经更新的与特定用户关联的信息、经更新的与多个用户关联的信息和经更新的关于与所述特定用户关联的环境状况或周边环境的信息;以及
在所述会话式语言处理器处使用从与经更新的所述一个或多个模型关联的经更新的信息得出的长期的共享知识和短期的共享知识来解析随后的自然语言话语。
18.一种响应于自然语言话语来选择和演示广告的系统,包括:
语音识别引擎,被配置为识别自然语言话语中的一个或多个词语或短语;
会话式语言处理器,被配置为解析所识别出的所述一个或多个词语或短语,以建立与所述自然语言话语关联的情境;以及
与所述语音识别引擎和所述会话式语言处理器关联的服务器,其中所述服务器被配置为:
将所建立的与所述自然语言话语关联的情境中的广告递送到与所述服务器通信的电子设备;
跟踪与递送到所述电子设备的广告关联的交互模式;以及
基于所跟踪的与所述广告关联的交互模式,更新一个或多个模型以包括经更新的与特定用户关联的信息、经更新的与多个用户关联的信息、和经更新的关于与所述特定用户关联的环境状况或周边环境的信息,其中所述会话式语言处理器进一步被配置为使用从经更新的与经更新的所述一个或多个模型关联的信息得出的长期的共享知识和短期的共享知识来解析随后的自然语言话语。
