Description

具有透明部分的仪表板指针
技术领域
本发明总地涉及一种车辆仪表板组件,并且更具体地涉及一种构造成指针的一部分在该部分阻止图形指示器显示时变得相对透明的指针。
背景技术
随着车辆变得更加复杂,有必要传输更多信息至车辆的操作者。例如,诸如牵引控制、成员保护(例如安全气囊)、防抱死制动、巡航控制以及前后照明等车辆系统经常构造成为进行自诊断测试。如果自诊断测试检测到系统有问题,车辆仪表板上的图形指示器或者指示器可被点亮以通知操作者该问题。随着图形指示器数量的增加,但仪表盘显示器表面并没有变化,使用机械指针的仪表板组件可能遇到指针不期望地阻挡图形指示器的显示的情况。
发明内容
根据一个实施例,提供一种车辆的仪表板组件。所述组件包括显示器表面以及装备有电光元件的指针。所述显示面装备有图形指示器。所述图形指示器可选择地操作到关闭状态和点亮状态。所述指针可操作成绕轴线移动从而指在所述显示面的标记上。所述指针可操作到阻挡所述图形指示器被观察到的位置。所述电光元件可操作到透明状态并且定位于所述指针上从而在所述指针在阻止所述图形指示器被观察到的位置时覆盖所述图形指示器。在所述图形指示器操作成点亮状态时所述电池可操作成透明状态。
通过阅读本发明的较佳实施例的以下具体说明,本发明的另一些特征和优点将变得更加清楚,参照附图并以非限制性实例方式给出该说明。

具体实施方式
图1示出了装备有安装在车辆10的仪表盘16内的仪表板组件(下文称为组件12)的车辆10的非限制实例。一般而言,组件12对操作者14或者车辆10的操作者显示车辆信息,例如车辆速度、发动机冷却剂温度等等。
图2和3示出了当没有安装在车辆10的仪表盘16时可能显现的组件12的一部分的非限制实例。一般而言,组件12包括限定组件12的显示面20的装饰条18。该实例中装饰条18跨越组件12的大部分观察区域。装饰条18一般包括确定仪表板(组件12)外观的图形21以及标记22。一些图形21或者标记22构造成为仅当适当背光时对操作者14变得明显。这样,显示面20装备有通过可选择地操作可容纳在灯罩28内并且附连于印刷电路板32的指示器灯26而可选择地操作图形指示器24为关闭状态和点亮状态。
所述指针12一般包括指针30,该指针可操作成绕轴线移动从而指向所述显示面20的标记22。通常,本文所述的指针30主要由诸如透亮的高分子化合物的透明材料形成,以便所述指针可如下文所述地照亮。除了透明材料,指针30可包括出于显而易见的原因而涂敷有不透明的、半透明的或者反射性材料的区域。随着车辆变得更加复杂,显示面24上的图形指示器数量的增加,并因此指针30可操作到阻挡图形指示器24被操作者14看到的位置。为了解决该阻挡问题,指针30优选地装备有电光元件34,当指针30处于阻挡图形指示器24被操作者14看到的位置时该电光元件34可操作为透明状态并位于指针30上以覆盖图形指示器24。
如本文所用,电光元件34可以是诸如电致变色玻璃(通常被称为智能玻璃)或者液晶显示(LCD)技术、电润湿技术或者可从位于美国纽约Hopewell Junction的Kent Optronics股份有限公司购得的电切换的半穿透半反射镜(ESTM)等几种已知技术中的任何一种。优选地,当图形指示器24通过激活或者点亮指示灯26操作到点亮状态时电光元件34可操作到透明状态。如果指针30的位置已知,使电光元件34为透明状态的操作可限制为仅当指针30否则将阻挡图形指示器24被观察时。在一个实施例中,指针30的定位或者位置由步进马达组件36决定,并由此指针的位置由于可在本领域中被认识到而众所周知。或者,只要图形指示器被点亮,不管指针30在何位置,电光元件34可至透明状态。如果多个图形21设置于当指针30旋转至多个定位或者位置时被电光元件34扫过的良好限定的弧形,此种操作模式是有利的。
该实例中,电光元件34位于指针30的下侧。即,指针相邻于显示面20的一侧。指针30可包括电线(未示出)或者导电涂料,或者其他已知的将电信号传递至电光元件34的装置。指针30还可包括电刷38或者其他已知的用于电联接诸如指针30的移动物体与诸如步进马达组件36的罩和/或印刷电路板32的固定物体的装置。
指针30下侧未被占据的部分可认为是不透明部分40。如果电光元件34为LCD类型的装置,电光元件34通常可操作为透明状态和不透明状态(例如黑色)。在这种情况下,指针30的不透明部分40优选地涂敷有模拟电光元件34操作为不透明状态时的油漆。或者,如果电光元件34是半穿透半反射镜,并由此电光元件34也可操作至反射状态,那么不透明部分40优选地为反射性的。或者,如果电光元件34为电致变色玻璃并由此可操作到除透明状态之外的不透明状态,优选地将不透明部分40处理成模拟电光元件34在不透明状态时的外观。
在一个实例中,指针30可通过诸如LED的的光源42照亮,光源构造成为发射光到指针30的轴44内并由此照亮操作者观察到的指针30的部分。如果指针没有装备电光元件34并且指针下侧的全部均涂敷有不透明的或者反射性的材料,指针30则会阻挡图形指示器24或者图形21。通过增加电光元件34和必要时操作电光元件34至透明状态,由于来自图形指示器24的光更易随时被操作者观察到因而对图形指示器的阻挡减少或者消除。
所述组件可包括与指示灯26及步进马达组件36电联通的控制器(未示出)。控制器可包括诸如微处理器或者其他在本领域中显而易见的其他控制电路的处理器。控制器可包括存储器,包括非易失性存储器,例如用于存储一个或者多个例程,阈值以及捕获的数据的电可擦可编程只读存储器(EEPROM)。所述一个或者多个例程可由处理执行从而进行用于确定控制器从车辆10获得的信号是否指示图形指示器应如本文所述照亮的步骤。由此,提供了一种装备有具有电光元件34的指针30的车辆仪表板组件(组件12)。电光元件34有利地操作至透明状态从而指针30不会阻挡操作者14看到图形指示器的显示。

Claims (5)

1.一种车辆(10)仪表板组件(12),包括:
装备有图形指示器(24)的显示面(20),所述图形指示器(24)可选择地操作到关闭状态和点亮状态;以及
可操作成绕轴线移动从而指在所述显示器表面(20)的标记(22)上的指针(30),其中所述指针(30)可操作到阻挡所述图形指示器被观察的位置,其中所述指针(30)装备有电光元件(34),当所述指针(30)位于阻挡所述图形指示器被观察的位置时,所述电光元件可操作到透明状态并且定位于所述指针(30)上以覆盖所述图形指示器(24),其中在所述图形指示器(24)操作成点亮状态时所述电光元件(34)操作成透明状态。
2.根据权利要求1所述的组件(12),其特征在于,当所述图形指示器(24)操作成点亮状态并且所述指针(30)位于阻挡所述图形指示器被观察的位置时所述电光元件(34)操作成透明状态。
3.根据权利要求1所述的组件(12),其特征在于,所述电光元件(34)也可操作成不透明状态。
4.根据权利要求1所述的组件(12),其特征在于,所述电光元件(34)也可操作成反光状态。
5.根据权利要求1所述的组件(12),其特征在于,所述电光元件(34)由电致变色玻璃形成。
