技术领域
本发明涉及一种适用于喷墨印刷的装饰纸,以及所述装饰纸的制备方法和用途。
背景技术
举例来说,装饰纸是用于作为建筑材料使用的装饰层板的制造、家具制造和室内表面。
传统印刷方法需要大规模的生产运作以大量生产经印制的装饰纸。然而,该方法不具成本效益,且不适用于为订制设计或校样目的而制造小规模生产运作的高质量展现的定制化装饰性应用。
喷墨印刷使定制化订做的装饰层板的制造成为可能。适用于喷墨印刷的装饰纸是已知的,且通常包含载体材料;该载体材料为有墨水接受层,和选择性地有另外的层面。
US-A-6599592描述一种用于喷墨印刷的纪录纸,其为由墨水可接受层和基纸层所构成;该基纸层经过树脂浸渍。

前案中所描述的装饰纸通常会使用含有如二氧化钛的颜料的基纸层。存在于基纸层中的颜料对装饰纸提供不透光度的作用。然而,在基纸层中使用颜料的缺点在于,需要大量的颜料以达到装饰纸中必要的不透光度。
另外一个已知装饰纸的缺点是粉尘沉积。这是特别不利的,因为粉尘的存在会导致打印喷头的阻塞,而打印喷头的阻塞会使自动化打印无法达成。且打印喷头需要更频繁的清理周期,因而造成墨流失和打印喷头的磨损。
发明内容
因此,本发明的目的是提供一种经改良的装饰纸。
意外地被发现,若是颜料仅存在于或实质上是只存在于装饰纸的上涂层之中,不仅装饰纸的不透光度可以被改良,而且粉尘沉积也可以大量地被减少。
于是,本发明是有关于一种适用于喷墨印刷的装饰纸,其包含基纸层;在该基纸层上存在有上涂层以形成涂布基纸层;其中,该装饰纸含有一种或多种颜料,以及其中实质上所有的该等颜料是存在于上述的上涂层中。
根据本发明的该装饰纸的该上涂层有接收从喷墨打印机出来的墨的作用。该上涂层可适当地包含亲水性涂料,特别是包含水溶性或水分散性高分子,例如聚乙烯醇、阳离子性聚乙烯醇、海藻酸盐、聚乙烯吡咯烷酮、聚醋酸乙烯酯、淀粉、羟甲基纤维素(CMC)和它们的混合物。该上涂层也可以适当地包含一种或多种湿强度剂或交联剂,优选地是选自于由下列所构成的群组中的试剂:尿素树脂、三聚氰胺树脂、环氧树脂、乙二醛树脂、锆盐以及它们的组合。
根据本发明的该装饰纸的该上涂层,其重量通常是落在10-30g/m2的范围,优选地是落在15-25g/m2的范围,特别优选地大约为20g/m2。
存在于根据本发明的该装饰纸的该上涂层中的该一种或多种颜料的数量,以该上涂层的重量为基准,优选地是多于85wt%,更优选地是多于90wt%,特别优选地是多于92wt%,最优选地是多于93wt%。
存在于该装饰纸的该上涂层之中的该一种或多种颜料的数量,以该上涂层的重量为基准,通常是少于99wt%,优选地是少于98wt%,特别优选地是少于97wt%。
意外地被发现,实质上所有的该一种或多种颜料在该装饰纸的该上涂层中的存在,足以达到所需要的不透光度标准。这是有利的,因为在该装饰纸中需要去达到所要的不透光度的颜料数量,与已知装饰纸相比是较少的。
术语“实质上”在本文中是使用来表示,在该装饰纸中的该全部颜料的多数是存在于该上涂层中,一般是多于55wt%,优选地是多于60wt%,更优选地是多于70wt%,特别优选地是多于75wt%,最优选地是多于77wt%。
可以使用在根据本发明的该装饰纸的合适颜料,是选自于由下列所构成的群组:二氧化钛、氧化铝、氢氧化铝、二氧化硅、滑石、硫酸钡、高岭土和它们的混合物。优选地,被使用的颜料是二氧化钛。

为了要使装饰纸适用于喷墨印刷,孔隙度是不能太高的,否则墨会渗透过深而进入到装饰纸中。而且,装饰纸的孔隙度是不能太低的,否则在层压过程期间,树脂渗透会被阻碍且会导致层面的起泡或分裂。
意外地被发现,实质上所有的该一种或多种颜料在上述装饰纸的该上涂层中的存在,也会产生适当的孔隙度。
一般来说,根据本发明的该未经印制的装饰纸的孔隙度是落在100-500ml/min的范围,优选地是落在200-400ml/min的范围,特别优选地为大约300ml/min,如国际标准号ISO5636-3所界定。根据本发明的该经印制的装饰纸的孔隙度一般是落在50-250ml/min的范围,优选地为大约100ml/min,如国际标准号ISO 5636-3所界定。
根据本发明的该装饰纸的另一优点为该装饰纸实质上是无尘的。这特别是有利的,因为粉尘的存在会大大阻碍高质量、一致性的经印制装饰纸的自动化生产。
本发明也包含一种制备适用于喷墨印刷的装饰纸的方法,其中,上涂层通过涂布处理的方式被涂布在基纸层上。
WO-A-00/06392描述了一个如上述合适的涂布方法,该方法包含通过涂布处理来涂布上涂层至转印纸的一边;在该涂布处理中,过量的该上涂层是首先被涂布的,随后用抹刀(刮刀)或滚轮刀来抹平。
该装饰纸可以使用不同的喷墨方法来高质量化地印制,优选地使用选自于由下列所构成的群组中的颜料墨:紫外光固化墨、水性墨、溶剂墨和它们的组合。上述的墨是本领域技术人员所熟知的。
于是,本发明另外是关于通过喷墨打印机来印制本发明的该装饰纸的方法;优选地是在存在该上涂层的该装饰纸的一边。
该经印制的装饰纸可以随后使用于层压处理。这是出乎意料的,因为实质上所有的该等颜料在该上涂层中的存在,会被预期造成根据本发明的该装饰纸中的该等层面的不充分黏合,是为了要防止该等层面在压制处理期间分裂或分散。然而,已经意外地被发现,当根据本发明的上述装饰纸进行层压时,该等层面的分裂或分散是不会发生的。
根据本发明之该经印制的装饰纸可以与经浸渍的顶层、底层和基板一起进行层压。大致上,该顶层是存在于该涂布基纸层之上,而该底层是存在于上述经印制的装饰纸的该涂布基纸层之下。
通常,该顶层和该底层包含一种高质量纤维素和树脂;该底层可进一步包含二氧化钛或其他颜料。合适的树脂可选自于由下列所构成的群组:三聚氰胺甲醛树脂、尿素甲醛树脂、丙烯酸酯树脂和它们的混合物。该顶层和该底层的主要功能是保护层板。该底层的额外功能是改良不透光性。
在层压处理期间,该顶层,根据本发明的该经印制的装饰纸和该底层是被置放在基板上,并且历经同步的加热和压制。一般来说,该基板可优选地选自于由下列所构成的群组:浸渍牛皮纸、中密度纤维板(MDF board)、木屑压合板和它们的组合。在层压处理中的高温和高压会造成树脂在纸纤维中的流动,和随后的固化。根据本发明的该装饰纸适合用于如下的层压处理:低压层压(LPL)、高压层压(HPL)和连续加压层压(CPL)。
或者,根据本发明的该经印制的装饰纸可先被浸渍,随后再被层压。浸渍一般包含把上述的装饰纸浸泡在树脂里,随后予以干燥。适合用来浸渍的树脂与用在该顶层和该底层之中的树脂相同。
根据本发明的该装饰纸可以适合用在多种装饰层板的制造;该装饰层板是用于家具和室内且其他定制化的装潢应用。
附图说明
图1示意地显示层板的横截面图;该层板是由根据本发明的装饰纸制备而来,其包含选择性的顶层1、经印制的装饰纸、选择性的底层4和基板5;该经印制的装饰纸包含基纸层3和上涂层2;该上涂层在该基纸层3上面以形成涂布基纸层。一种或多种颜料实质上全部存在于该上涂层2中。
具体实施方式
本发明将依据下面非限制性实施例来做说明。
实施例1
根据本发明的装饰纸是使用基纸层来制备;该基纸层完全是由化学纸浆所制,且是由大约90wt%的短纤维和大约10wt%的长纤维所构成;上述的重量百分比值是以该基纸层的重量为基准。该装饰纸进一步含有在该基纸层之上的上涂层。该上涂层包含有一种亲水性高分子和二氧化钛颜料。该有涂布的装饰纸的平均重量为大约90g/m2。
该已制备完成的装饰纸,是以水性颜料墨,并使用Mimaki JV33或Epson任一款喷墨打印机来进行印制。该经印制的装饰纸随后进行层压。
该已制备完成的装饰纸的下列性质被测定,且被显示于表1中。
该有涂布和经印制的装饰纸的孔隙度用国际标准号ISO 5636-3来测量。
该经印制的装饰纸的打印质量是从视觉外观来测定,特别是从网点扩大、打印锐度、渗色以及色彩强度来测定。
该经印制的装饰纸在层压后的不透光度是从视觉外观以及特别是从透明度来测定的。
该经层压的装饰纸的层压质量是以是否该层面会分裂和起泡来测定。

Claims (14)
1.一种适用于喷墨印刷的装饰纸,其包含有:
基纸层,在所述基纸层上存在有上涂层以形成涂布基纸层;
其中,所述装饰纸含有一种或多种颜料;
其中,实质上所有所述颜料存在于所述上涂层中;
其中,在所述上涂层中的所述一种或多种颜料的数量,以所述上涂层的重量为基准,是多于90wt%;以及
其中,所述装饰纸的孔隙度落在如国际标准号ISO 5636-3所界定的100-500ml/min的范围。
2.根据权利要求1所述的装饰纸,其特征在于,所述上涂层的重量落在10-30g/m2的范围。
3.根据权利要求1或2所述的装饰纸,其特征在于,在所述上涂层中的所述一种或多种颜料的数量,以所述上涂层的重量为基准,是多于92wt%。
4.根据权利要求1至3任意一项所述的装饰纸,其特征在于,所述一种或多种颜料是选自于由下列所构成的群组:二氧化钛、氧化铝、氢氧化铝、二氧化硅、滑石、硫酸钡、高岭土和它们的混合物。
5.根据权利要求1至4任意一项所述的装饰纸,其特征在于,所述上涂层还包含一种或多种湿强度剂或交联剂。
6.一种制备根据权利要求1至5任意一项的适用于喷墨印刷的装饰纸的方法,其特征在于,上涂层通过涂布处理被涂布在基纸层上。
7.一种经印制的装饰纸,其包含有:
一如权利要求1至5任意一项所述的装饰纸;以及
一种颜料墨。
8.根据权利要求7所述的经印制的装饰纸,其特征在于,所述颜料墨是选自于由下列所构成的群组:紫外光固化墨、水性墨、溶剂墨和它们的组合。
9.根据权利要求7或8所述的经印制的装饰纸,其特征在于,所述经印制的装饰纸的孔隙度落在如国际标准号ISO 5636-3所界定的50-250ml/min的范围。
10.根据权利要求7至9任意一项所述的经印制的装饰纸,其特征在于,其还包含有顶层和/或底层。
11.根据权利要求7至10任意一项所述的经印制的装饰纸,其特征在于,其还包含有树脂。
12.根据权利要求7至11任意一项所述的经印制的装饰纸,其特征在于,其还包含有基板。
13.一种用于印制如权利要求1至5任意一项所述的装饰纸的方法,其特征在于,所述装饰纸通过喷墨印刷来印制,优选地在所述装饰纸有所述上涂层存在的一边。
14.一种如权利要求7-12任意一项所述的经印制的装饰纸的用途,其是适于层板制造,家具,或定制化的装潢应用。
