Abstract

本發明是有關於一種適用於噴墨印刷的裝飾紙,以及該裝飾紙的製備方法和用途。
舉例來說,裝飾紙是用於作為建築材料使用的裝飾層板之製造,傢俱製造,和室內表面。
傳統印刷方法需要大規模的生產運作以大量生產經印製的裝飾紙。然而,該等方法不具成本效益,且不適用於為訂製設計或校樣目的而製造小規模生產運作的高品質展現之客製化裝飾性應用。
噴墨印刷使客製化訂做的裝飾層板之製造成為可能。適用於噴墨印刷的裝飾紙是已知的,且通常包含一載體材料;該載體材料係有一墨水接受層,和選擇性地有另外的層面。

前案中所描述的裝飾紙通常會使用含有如二氧化鈦之顏料的基紙層。存在於基紙層中的顏料對裝飾紙提供不透光度的作用。然而,在基紙層中使用顏料的缺點在於,需要大量的顏料去達到裝飾紙中必要的不透光度。
另外一個已知裝飾紙的缺點是塵生成。這是特別不利的,因為灰塵的存在會導致列印噴頭的阻塞,而列印噴頭的阻塞會使自動化列印無法達成。且,列印噴頭需要更頻繁的清理周期,因而造成墨水流失和列印噴頭的磨損。
因此,本發明的目的是提供一種經改良的裝飾紙。
意外地被發現,若是顏料僅存在於或實質上是只存在於裝飾紙的上塗層之中,不僅裝飾紙的不透光度可以被改良,而且塵生成也可以大量地被減少。
於是,本發明是有關於一種適用於噴墨印刷的裝飾紙,其包含一基紙層;在該基紙層上存在有一上塗層以形成一塗佈基紙層;其中,該裝飾紙含有一或多種顏料,以及其中實質上所有該等顏料是存在於上述的上塗層中。
根據本發明的該裝飾紙之該上塗層有接收從噴墨印表機出來的墨水之作用。該上塗層可適當地包含親水性塗料,特別是包含水溶性或水分散性高分子,例如聚乙烯醇,陽離子性聚乙烯醇,海藻酸鹽,聚乙烯四氫咯酮,聚醋酸乙烯酯,澱粉,羧甲基纖維素,和它們的混合物。該上塗層也可適當地包含一或多種濕強度劑或交聯劑,較佳地是選自於由下列所構成之群組中的試劑:尿素樹脂,三聚氰胺樹脂,環氧樹酯,乙二醛樹脂,鋯鹽,以及它們的組合。
根據本發明的該裝飾紙之該上塗層,其重量通常是落在10-30g/m2的範圍,較佳地是落在15-25g/m2的範圍,更佳地大約為20g/m2。
存在於根據本發明的該裝飾紙之該上塗層中的該一或多種顏料之數量,以該上塗層的重量為基準,較佳地是多於85wt%,更佳地是多於90wt%,再更佳地是多於92wt%,最佳地是多於93wt%。

顏料之數量,以該上塗層的重量為基準,通常是少於99wt%,較佳地是少於98wt%,更佳地是少於97wt%。
意外地被發現,實質上所有該一或多種顏料在該裝飾紙的該上塗層中之存在,足以達到所欲的不透光度標準。這是有利的,因為在該裝飾紙中需要去達到所欲的不透光度之顏料數量,與已知裝飾紙相比是較少的。
術語“實質上”在本文中是使用來表示,在該裝飾紙中的該全部顏料之多數,一般是多於55wt%,較佳地是多於60wt%,更佳地是多於70wt%,再更佳地是多於75wt%,最佳地是多於77wt%,是存在於該上塗層中。

為了要使裝飾紙適用於噴墨印刷,孔隙度是不能太高的,否則墨水會滲透到裝飾紙過深之處。而且,裝飾紙的孔隙度是不能太低的,否則在層壓過程期間,樹脂滲透會被阻礙且會導致層面的起泡或分裂。
意外地被發現,實質上所有該一或多種顏料在上
述裝飾紙的該上塗層中之存在,也會產生適當的孔隙度。
一般來說,根據本發明的該未經印製的裝飾紙之孔隙度是落在100-500ml/min的範圍,較佳地是落在200-400ml/min的範圍,更佳地為大約300ml/min,如國際標準號ISO 5636-3所界定。根據本發明的該經印製的裝飾紙之孔隙度一般是落在50-250ml/min的範圍,較佳地為大約100ml/min,如國際標準號ISO 5636-3所界定。
根據本發明的該裝飾紙之另一優點為該裝飾紙實質上是無塵的。這特別是有利的,因為灰塵的存在會大大阻礙高品質、一致性的經印製裝飾紙之自動化生產。

一個如上述合適的塗佈處理是被描述於WO-A-00/06392,其方法包含藉由一塗佈處理來塗佈一上塗層至一轉印紙的一邊;在該塗佈處理中,過量的該上塗層首先是被塗佈的,隨後用抹刀(刮刀)或滾輪刀來抹平。
該裝飾紙可以使用不同的噴墨方法來高品質化地印製,較佳地使用選自於由下列所構成的群組中之顏料墨水:紫外光固化墨水,水性墨水,溶劑墨水,和它們的組合。上述的墨水是熟習此項技藝者所詳知的。
於是,本發明另外是關於藉由噴墨印表機來印製本發明的該裝飾紙之方法;較佳地是在該裝飾紙有該上塗層存在的一邊。
該經印製的裝飾紙可以隨後使用於層壓處理。這是出乎意料的,因為實質上所有該等顏料在該上塗層中的存在,會被預期造成根據本發明的該裝飾紙中之該等層面的不充分黏合,是為了要防止該等層面在壓製處理期間分裂或分散。然而,已經意外地被發現,當根據本發明的上述裝飾紙進行層壓時,該等層面的分裂或分散是不會發生的。
根據本發明之該經印製的裝飾紙可以與一經浸漬的頂層,一底層,和一基板,一起進行層壓。大致上,該頂層是存在於該塗佈基紙層之上,而該底層是存在於上述經印製的裝飾紙之該塗佈基紙層之下。
通常該頂層和該底層包含一種高品質纖維素和樹脂;該底層可進一步包含二氧化鈦或其他顏料。合適的樹脂可選自於由下列所構成的群組:三聚氰胺甲醛樹脂,尿素甲醛樹脂,丙烯酸酯樹脂,和它們的混合物。該頂層和該底層的主要功能是要保護層板。該底層的額外功能是改良不透光度。
在層壓處理期間,該頂層,根據本發明之該經印製的裝飾紙,和該底層,是被置放在一基板上,並且歷經同步的加熱和壓製。一般來說,該基板可較佳地選自於由下列所構成的群組:浸漬牛皮紙,中密度纖維板(MDF board),木屑壓合板,和它們的組合。在層壓處理中的高溫和高壓會造成樹脂在紙纖維中的流動,和隨後的固化。根據本發明的該裝飾紙是適合被使用在如下的層壓處理:低
壓層壓(LPL),高壓層壓(HPL),和連續加壓層壓(CPL)。
或者,根據本發明之該經印製的裝飾紙可先被浸漬,隨後再被層壓。浸漬一般包含把該上述的裝飾紙浸泡在樹脂裡,隨後予以乾燥。適合用來浸漬的樹脂是與用在該頂層和該底層之中的樹脂相同。
根據本發明的該裝飾紙可以適合用在多種裝飾層板的製造;該等裝飾層板是用於傢俱,和室內且其他客製化的裝潢應用。

圖1示意地顯示一層板的橫截面圖;該層板是由一根據本發明的裝飾紙製備而來,其包含一選擇性的頂層(1),一經印製的裝飾紙,一選擇性的底層(4),和一基板(5);該經印製的裝飾紙包含一基紙層(3)和一上塗層(2);該上塗層在該基紙層(3)上面以形成一塗佈基紙層。一或多種顏料實質上是全部存在於該上塗層中。
本發明將依據下面非限制性實施例來做說明。
根據本發明的裝飾紙是使用一基紙層來製備;該基紙層完全是由化學紙漿所製,且是由大約90wt%的短纖維和大約10wt%的長纖維所構成;上述的重量百分比值是以該基紙層的重量為基準。該等裝飾紙更含有一上塗層於該基紙層之上。該上塗層包含有一種親水性高分子和二氧化鈦顏料。該等有塗佈的裝飾紙之平均重量為大約90g/m2。
該等已製備完成的裝飾紙,是以水性顏料墨水,並使用Mimaki JV33或Epson噴墨印表機之任一者,來進行印製。該等經印製的裝飾紙隨後進行層壓。
該等已製備完成的裝飾紙,其下列性質被測定,且被顯示於表1中。
該等有塗佈和經印製的裝飾紙之孔隙度是用國際標準號ISO 5636-3來測量。
該等經印製的裝飾紙之列印品質是從視覺外觀來測定,特別是從網點擴大,列印銳度,出血,和色彩強度。
該等經印製的裝飾紙在層壓後之不透光度是從視覺外觀和特別是透明度來測定。
該等經層壓的裝飾紙之層壓品質是以是否該等層面會分裂,和起泡來測定。

Claims (14)
- 一種適用於噴墨印刷的裝飾紙,其包含有:一基紙層,在該基紙層上存在有一上塗層以形成一塗佈基紙層;其中,該裝飾紙含有一或多種顏料;其中,實質上所有該等顏料是存在於該上塗層中;其中,在該上塗層中的該一或多種顏料之數量,以該上塗層的重量為基準,是多於90wt%;以及其中,該裝飾紙的孔隙度是落在100-500ml/min的範圍,如國際標準號ISO 5636-3所界定。
- 如申請專利範圍第1項之裝飾紙,其中,該上塗層的重量是落在10-30g/m2的範圍。
- 如申請專利範圍第1至2項中任一項之裝飾紙,其中,在該上塗層中的該一或多種顏料之數量,以該上塗層的重量為基準,是多於92wt%。
- 如申請專利範圍第1至3項中任一項之裝飾紙,其中,該一或多種顏料是選自於由下列所構成的群組:二氧化鈦,氧化鋁,氫氧化鋁,二氧化矽,滑石,硫酸鋇,高嶺土,和它們的混合物。
- 如申請專利範圍第1至4項中任一項之裝飾紙,其中,該上塗層更包含一或多種濕強度劑或交聯劑。
- 一種製備如申請專利範圍第1至5項中任一項之適用於噴墨印刷的裝飾紙之方法,其中,一上塗層是藉由一塗 佈處理被塗佈在一基紙層上。
- 一種經印製的裝飾紙,其包含有:一如申請專利範圍第1、2、3、4或5項之裝飾紙;以及一種顏料墨水。
- 如申請專利範圍第7項之經印製的裝飾紙,其中,該顏料墨水是選自於由下列所構成的群組:紫外光固化墨水,水性墨水,溶劑墨水,和它們的組合。
- 如申請專利範圍第7或8項之經印製的裝飾紙,其中,該經印製的裝飾紙之孔隙度是落在50-250ml/min的範圍,如國際標準號ISO 5636-3所界定。
- 如申請專利範圍第7、8或9項之經印製的裝飾紙,其更包含有一頂層和/或一底層。
- 如申請專利範圍第7、8、9或10項之經印製的裝飾紙,其更包含有一種樹脂。
- 如申請專利範圍第7、8、9、10或11項之經印製的裝飾紙,其更包含有一基板。
- 一種印製如申請專利範圍第1、2、3、4或5項之裝飾紙的方法,其中,該裝飾紙是藉由噴墨印刷來印製,較佳地是在該裝飾紙有該上塗層存在的一邊。
- 一種如申請專利範圍第7、8、9、10、11或12項之經印製的裝飾紙之用途,其是適於層板製造,傢俱,或客製化的裝潢應用。
