Abstract

本发明属于连铸钢流水口保护浇注接缝用密封材料及其制造工艺。该密封料由玻璃粉、珍珠岩、钛白粉、刚玉粉、硼砂、工业苏打,经原材料的烘干,控制其水分,按比例配料、破碎、研磨成粒度,外加粘接剂搅拌而成。采用挤压的方法,将密封料喷涂于水口接缝四周,随着浇注的进行,水口温度逐渐升高,密封料受热膨胀、玻化到部分熔融,占据接缝空隙,阻止空气吸入,实现水口内钢流的保护。同时,本发明也适合温度为650~950℃其它接缝的密封。

Description

连铸水口接缝密封材料及其制造工艺
本发明属于连铸钢流水口保护浇注接缝用密封料及其制造工艺。
在连续铸钢过程中,大包至中间包以及结晶器之间的钢流采用保护浇注技术,可以减少钢液二次氧化,促进连铸工艺顺行,达到提高铸坯质量的效果。为此,现已广泛采用大包长水口和结晶器伸入式水口保护钢流。这样,大包下水口与长水口以及结晶器分段式水口接缝处的保护就成为影响钢流保护效果的关键。迄今为止,普遍使用氩气保护的方法,但存在如下一些缺点:通氩气操作不方便,不易处理事故;通气孔容易堵塞,难于实现连浇;部分氩气随钢流进入中间包,引起长水口附近钢流裸露再氧化;长水口附近氩气上浮搅拌,难于判断大包钢水是否浇完,容易造成钢渣进入中间包;氩气及通气管接头消耗,成本较高。这些因素直接影响着保护浇注的真正实现。
为了克服现有技术的不足,本发明研制了连铸水口接缝密封材料及其制造工艺。解决水口接缝吸入空气问题,达到保护钢流免于二次氧化,促进连铸工艺顺行。
本发明的目的是通过以下技术解决方案实现的,包括密封材料的研制和该产品的生产工艺。
对密封材料研制要求:
在水口接缝处工作温度为650~950℃,密封料快速膨胀,且表面致密而不破裂。
浇注过程中,密封料处于软融状态,粘性大,不流动,浇注完后水口易于分离,便于更换水口及连浇。
选用粘结剂能与密封料渗和,常温下不挥发,便于喷涂。
原材料来源广泛,对环境及钢液无污染。
为了满足上述要求,选用以下材料作密封料原料:
玻璃粉:主要成份SiO2和Na2O,作密封料基料,具有较低的熔点和较大的粘度。
珍珠岩:主要成份SiO2、Al2O3。高温受热膨胀,熔渣强酸性,粘性大。
钛白粉:主要成份TiO2。作用使密封料膨胀致密,增强抗吸气能力。
刚玉粉:主要成份Al2O3。增宽密封料软融温度范围。
工业苏打:主要成份Na2CO3。高温受热分解成Na2O,调整密封料熔点,起助熔作用。
硼砂;主要成份B2O3、Na2O。调整密封料熔点,起助熔作用。
粘接剂;磷酸或工业甘油或磷酸和工业甘油的混合物。使粉状密封料调成密封泥,便于喷涂。
根据上述研制原则,密封料成品化学组成及重量百分比为:
Si02:40~70%;Al2O3:5~10%;TiO2:8~15%;
B2O3:5~15%;Na2O:8~28%。
要达到上述化学组成和重量百分比,其原材料组成及重量百分比为:
玻璃粉:30~50%;    珍珠岩:10~40%;
钛白粉:8~15%;     刚玉粉:2~10%;
硼  砂:7~15%;     工业苏打:2~30%。
粘接剂为上述固体料外加百分量(重量百分比)为:
磷酸;25~30%;
或工业甘油:30~35%;
或磷酸和工业甘油混合加入比例:1∶3,加入量::27~33%。
该密封料的制造工艺:原材料烘干,控制其水份;按比例配料,破碎,细磨成粉;添加粘接剂,粘接剂加入量是在固体料的基础上的外加百分含量;搅拌混合成密封泥状,装入包装罐内,即成产品。
所用硼砂在900~950℃内预熔,以除去硼砂中的结晶水,加热速度由生产能力确定,到900~950℃保温5~7分钟熔清以确保结晶水去除,其余原材料在100~140℃内烘烤2.8~3.5小时,使这些原材料水份控制在0.1~0.5%。将烘干原材料按密封料配方进行称量。配料后破碎,细磨成粉,粒度控制在200~300目。可在混合粉料内添加粘接剂,调成牙膏状,盛入包装罐内,即成产品。
利用上述产品,就能实现水口对钢流的保护浇注。在钢液浇注过程中,水口温度逐渐升高,挤压喷涂于接缝处的密封料膨胀,部分熔融,冲填于接缝中,阻止接缝吸入空气,起到密封保护钢流的作用,弥补了氩气保护的缺点;密封料在水口接缝熔融,易于与水口分离,更换水口实现连浇,操作简单,成本低廉,切实可靠。
实施例1
密封料成品成份及重量百分比为:
SiO2      Al2O3   TiO2     Na2O    B2O3
42.9%,    7.4%,    13.5%,    27.3%,    8.9%;
其原料重量百分比组成为:
玻璃粉    珍珠岩     刚玉粉   钛白粉     工业苏打    硼  砂       磷  酸
32.4%,  10%,     5%,    10.8%,     29%,    12.8%,     27%
配制的密封料熔化温度763℃。利用喷枪挤压的方法,密封料通过水冷双层导管枪涂于连铸大包长水口接缝处,保护钢流时间17分钟,期间密封料膨胀、致密和熔融。测试长水口内负压380mmH2O,不保护水口内负压15mmH2O,说明水口内真空度增加,吸气量大大降低,密封效果显著。浇完后水口易于分离,观察密封料熔融均匀。
实施例2
密封料成品成份及重量百分比为:
SiO2    Al2O3 TiO2   Na2O   B2O3
48.0%,  9.0%,  13.4%,  18.6%,  11.0%;
其原料重量百分比组成为:
玻璃粉   珍珠岩    刚玉粉   钛白粉   工业苏打    硼  砂   工业甘油
40%,    15%,    6%,    12%,    12%,    15%,    32%
配制的密封料熔化温度822℃。利用喷枪用于大包长水口接缝处,保护钢流时间22分钟,期间密封料膨胀、致密和玻化。测试和观察保护效果与实施例1相同。

Claims (4)

1.一种连铸水口接缝密封材料,其特征在于其组成和重量百分比为:
该密封材料的原材料组成和重量百分比为:
    玻璃粉:    30~50%,
    珍珠岩:    10~40%,
    钛白粉:    8~15%,
    刚玉粉:    2~10%,
    硼  砂:    7~15%,
    工业苏打:  2~30%,
粘接剂在上述固体粉料的基础上外加比例为:
磷酸:25~30%,
或工业甘油:30~35%,
或磷酸和工业甘油混合加入量:27~33%,其中磷酸∶工业甘油=1∶3;并使该密封材料成品的化学组成和重量百分比为:
    SiO2:   40~70%,
    Al2O3: 5~10%,
    TiO2:   8~15%,
    B2O3:  5~15%,
    Na2O:   8~28%。
2.根据权利要求1所述的连铸水口接缝密封材料,其特征在于其具体组成和重量百分比为:

    玻璃粉:    32.4%,    硼  砂:    12.8%,
    珍珠岩:    10%,      工业苏打:  29%,
    钛白粉:    10.8%,    刚玉粉:    5%,
粘接剂在上述固体粉料的基础上外加比例为:磷酸27%;
并使该密封材料成品的化学组成和重量百分比为:
    SiO2:     42.9%,    Na2O:     27.3%,
    Al2O3:   7.4%,     B2O3:     8.9%,
    TiO2:     13.5%。
3.根据权利要求1所述的连铸水口接缝密封材料,其特征在于其具体组成和重量百分比为:
其原材料组成和重量百分比为:
    玻璃粉:    40%,     硼  砂:    15%,
    珍珠岩:    15%,     工业苏打:  12%,
    钛白粉:    12%,     刚玉粉:    6%,
粘接剂在上述固体粉料的基础上外加比例为:工业甘油:32%;
并使该密封材料成品的化学组成和重量百分比为:
    SiO2:     48.0%,    Na2O:    18.6%,
    Al2O3:   9.0%,     B2O3:    11.0%,
    TiO2:     13.4%。
4.一种连铸水口接缝密封材料的制造工艺,包括原材料烘干,控制其水份,按比例配料,破碎、细磨成粉,外加粘接剂,搅拌混合,装入包装罐,其特征在于:
(1)使硼砂在900~950℃内预熔,并保温5~7分钟,其余原材料在100~140℃内烘烤2.8~3.5小时,使这些原材料水份控制在0.1~0.5%;
(2)细磨成粉的粒度为200~300目。
