背景技术

图1是在外科手术中用于选择地将从电刺激发生器12和射频(RF)发生器14接收的信号施加至感兴趣组织的仪器10的示意性框图。接口模块16电耦合至刺激发生器12和RF发生器14以选择地以多个模式操作从而将所期望的输出传递至仪器10。特定地,接口模块16包括电耦合至电刺激发生器12的第一输入16a、电耦合至RF发生器14的第二输入16b、以及电耦合至仪器10的输出16c。

在一个示例中,控制器32被实现为从加利福尼亚州的圣克拉拉的国家半导体公司购得的DS3658Quad高电流外设驱动器。基于来自信号检测器34的输入,控制器32将来自输入16a的信号或来自输入16b的信号引导至多个继电器40-43。在一个实施例中,继电器40和42是真空密封的继电器,例如来自加利福尼亚州的圣克拉拉的Gigavac LLC的部件G47A。在该实施例中,继电器40和42是常开的(NO),也被称为接触型A继电器。另外,继电器41和43也可以是真空密封的继电器,例如来自Gigavac,LLC的部件G47B。在该实施例中,继电器41和43是常闭的(NO),也被称为接触型B继电器。
在操作期间,信号检测器34从选择模块18(图1)接收信号以确定应该将来自输入16a还是16b的信号送至输出16c。在一个实施例中,若没有来自选择模块18的信号,则自动将来自输入16a的信号通过继电器40、42发送至输出16c。在这种情形下,继电器40和42是常开的,所以控制器32可将来自输入16a的信号直接地转送至继电器40和42,该信号继而被发送至输出16c。相反,当信号被提供给信号检测器34以使用来自输入16b的信号时,控制器32操作以闭合继电器40和42并断开(例如,通电)继电器41和43。因此,来自输入16b的信号经过继电器41和43至输出16c。

Claims (27)
1.一种与电刺激发生器和电外科手术单元一起使用的接口模块,所述接口模块包括:
第一输入,其被配置成接收来自所述电刺激发生器的电刺激信号;
耦合至所述第一输入的第一组继电器;
第二输入,其被配置成接收来自所述电外科手术单元的射频信号;

5.如权利要求1所述的接口模块,其特征在于,还包括隔离所述第一输入和所述第二输入的绝缘壁。
6.如权利要求5所述的接口模块,其特征在于,所述绝缘壁由聚甲醛形成。
7.如权利要求1所述的接口模块,其特征在于,还包括提供所述指示的视觉参照的指示器。
8.如权利要求1所述的接口模块,其特征在于,所述射频信号被配置为用于组织凝结。
9.如权利要求1所述的接口模块,其特征在于,所述射频信号被配置为用于切割组织。
10.一种在目标部位处的组织上操作的外科手术方法,包括:
将仪器电耦合至电刺激发生器和射频发生器;
接收具有指示的信号以选择性地将来自所述电刺激发生器的电刺激信号和来自所述射频发生器的射频信号中的一者的输出信号提供给所述仪器;
如果所述指示是选择性地提供电刺激信号,则通电第一组继电器;
如果所述指示是选择性地提供射频信号,则通电第二组继电器;
将所述输出信号传递至所述仪器。
11.如权利要求10所述的外科手术方法,其特征在于,还包括:
将来自所述电刺激发生器的电刺激信号通过所述第一组继电器传递至所述仪器。
12.如权利要求10所述的外科手术方法,其特征在于,还包括:
将来自所述射频发生器的射频信号通过所述第二组继电器传递至所述仪器。
13.如权利要求10所述的外科手术方法,其特征在于,所述第一组继电器和所述第二组继电器被真空地密封。
14.如权利要求10所述的外科手术方法,其特征在于,还包括:
使用耦合至所述组织的记录电极记录来自组织的响应,所述响应从将电刺激信号至所述组织的传递中生成。
15.如权利要求10所述的外科手术方法,其特征在于,所述射频信号包括被配置用于组织凝结的凝结信号。
16.如权利要求10所述的外科手术方法,其特征在于,所述射频信号包括被配置成用于切割组织的切割信号。
17.如权利要求10所述的外科手术方法,其特征在于,还包括:
在第一时间段期间接通包括所述电刺激发生器和所述仪器的第一电路;
断开所述第一电路;以及
在断开所述第一电路之后的第二时间段期间接通包括所述射频发生器和所述仪器的第二电路。
18.如权利要求10所述的外科手术方法,其特征在于,还包括:
在第一时间段期间接通包括所述电刺激发生器和所述仪器的第一电路;
断开所述第一电路;
使用耦合至所述组织的记录电极记录来自组织的响应,所述响应从电刺激信号至所述组织的传递中生成;以及
基于所述响应禁止进一步的射频信号应用。
19.一种在目标部位处的组织上使用的外科手术系统,包括:
仪器;
电刺激发生器,其被配置成生成电刺激信号;
电外科手术单元,其被配置成生成射频信号;
接口模块,电耦合至所述仪器、所述电刺激发生器、和所述电外科手术单元,所述接口模块包括信号检测器、控制器、第一组继电器、和第二组继电器;
第一电路,其包括所述仪器、所述电刺激发生器、和所述接口模块;
第二电路,其包括所述仪器、所述电外科手术单元、和所述接口模块;
选择模块,其电耦合至所述信号检测器并被配置成提供所述第一电路和所述第二电路中的一者的选择,其中所述控制器基于所述选择通电所述第一组继电器和所述第二组继电器中的一者。
20.如权利要求19所述的外科手术系统,其特征在于,所述仪器是双极钳、腹腔镜双极仪器、单极烧灼笔、和手腕式仪器中的一者。
21.如权利要求19所述的外科手术系统,其特征在于,所述选择模块耦合至所述仪器。
22.如权利要求19所述的外科手术系统,其特征在于,所述选择模块电耦合至所述接口模块并被配置成断开所述第二电路。
23.如权利要求19所述的外科手术系统,其特征在于,所述选择模块电耦合至所述接口模块以提供指示所述目标部位处的电活动的信号。
24.如权利要求19所述的外科手术系统,其特征在于,还包括耦合至所述组织并被配置成记录来自所述组织的响应的一个或多个记录电极,所述响应从传递至所述组织的电刺激信号中生成,并且其中所述一个或多个记录电极形成所述第一电路的一部分。
25.如权利要求19所述的外科手术系统,其特征在于,还包括位于所述接口模块内以使所述第一电路与所述第二电路分开的绝缘壁。
26.如权利要求19所述的外科手术系统,其特征在于,所述第一组继电器和所述第二组继电器被真空地密封。
27.权利要求19所述的系统,其特征在于,所述电外科手术单元被配置成将切割信号和凝结信号两者传递至所述仪器。
