技术领域
本发明主要涉及电子烟(Electronic Cigarette),尤其涉及一种用于带有侧面进气口(side air intake)的电子烟的电池接头(battery connector),以改进电子烟中空气的吸入和排出。
背景技术
因为电子烟具有许多优点,电子烟已逐渐成为烟草的流行替代品。它们流行的主要原因之一是它们与烟草比较相似。事实上,它们越接近传统香烟所提供的体验,它们就越有可能被市场所接受。
电子烟通常包括电池、雾化器、烟液管(container of smoke juice)、加热元件以及电源控制电路(power control circuit)。电池用于给电路以及雾化器提供动力,雾化器加热烟液用来产生烟雾或蒸气,被使用者吸入。
其中一种电子烟的实施例由两部分组成,包括第一部分的电池以及第二部分的雾化器,其中雾化器部分和电池部分是可以拆分的。
图1和图2显示了上述电子烟的一个实施例。在某些实施例中,电池部分B包括蓄电池(power cell)、气流传感器以及芯片。在某些实施例中,雾化器部分A包括加热元件和烟液管,烟液管包括调味料和气化基底物(vaporizing base),例如乙二醇(雾化器可称为atomizer或Cartomizer)。通常地,电池和雾化器通过螺纹啮合(threaded engagement)物理性和电气性连接。在某些实施例中,电池具有阳(male)螺纹部分,而雾化器具有阴(female)螺纹部分,如图2所示。
在电子烟发展的初始阶段,自然模仿了传统香烟的空气流动方式和路径。在传统吸烟过程中,空气进入端部,然后聚集烟雾,通过过滤嘴进入吸烟者的口中。同样的,早期的电子烟在电池的端部有一个或多个凹槽(notch)以允许空气吸入。空气从端部进入,穿过整个电池,继续穿过雾化器、电子烟的烟雾产生部位,然后通过雾化器的远端(distal end)进入吸烟者的口中,雾化器远端的功能是作为接口管(mouth piece)。
图3显示了这种结构的实施例横截面。如图3所示,当空气通过喉舌吸入时,空气进入电子烟的端部,穿过气流传感器周围的空间,继续穿过电池(本实施例中为锂电池),然后穿过极柱(post)中心轴上的开口(极柱固定在雾化器的阴性接头上(female connector),然后空气与液体烟雾的雾化粒子融合,穿过雾化器的接口管进入吸烟者的口中。
迄今为止,端部进气的电子烟经常会出现特定的问题,本发明的目的在于消除这个问题。当吸烟者呼出的烟雾进入电子烟的电池端部进气口时(吸烟者经常这样做),来自嘴里的烟雾就会沿着跟上述相反的路径穿行,它们向着传感器的方向进入到电池部分内,经常凝结,使得传感器被堵塞,不能起作用。同样地,呼出的烟雾引起雾化器中多余的液体沿着同样的路径向着传感器的方向进入电池部分,进一步堵塞传感器,使得传感器无法起作用。就维持一支电子烟到下一支电子烟一致的空气流和一致的传感器敏感性方面来说,这也是电子烟大规模生产的主要难题。
因此,人们希望避免使吸入空气通过电池后端穿过电池的整个长度(以下称为“端部进气口”),取而代之的是使空气通过电池的前侧边(front side,以下称为“侧面进气口”)吸入,前侧边是电池和雾化器相交的位点。
但是,当雾化器与侧面进气的电池相连接时,则需要雾化器的阴螺纹部分在其边缘具有空气缝隙,否则难以大量生产机械加工的使得进气口在其底部(base)的阳螺纹。结果,如果希望电子烟从端部进气型改为侧面进气口型,则需要调整电子烟的阴螺纹部分,例如雾化器。因此,如果希望在电子烟的电池部分形成缝隙,则需要重新设计整个电子烟,以使得电池部分是阴螺纹部分,而雾化器部分是阳螺纹部分。此外,根本没有可能提供一种选择,即在端部进气型和侧面进气型之间互换阳性电池部分,而同时维持其与相同阴性部分的兼容性,因为在侧面进气型中,阴性雾化器需要在结合位点有缝隙,而在端部进气型中,阴性雾化器不能有缝隙,否则最后穿过电子烟的空气流量太大了。
相应地,到本发明为止,侧面进气型电子烟的生产被认为是生产成本高且复杂的事情,不可避免的,它要求重新设计器件的所有零件,且消除反向的(backwards)的可能性-器件大部分内部零件的兼容性。
发明内容
本发明解决了上述问题,本发明通过调整阳性电池接头,而无需调整阴性雾化器接头提供了一种电子烟侧面进气路径。同时,维持了容易制备的优点-尤其是在大规模生产过程中维持阳性电池接头的易制性,以及反向兼容性(backwards compatibility),而相同的无缝阴性雾化器和阳性电池接头一起既可用于端部吸气的电子烟,也能用于侧面吸气的电子烟。
本发明还提供了一种产生空气路径的可能性,所述空气路径使得空气的吸入没有声音,不像其他的侧面吸气的技术方案,在空气进入侧面时会产生嘶嘶的噪声。
图4所示的是采用本发明电池接头的电子烟横截面。如图所示,传感器周围的空间被封闭了,从而没有空气流穿过电池部分的腔。在吸气过程中,空气从电池的侧面进入,通过电池极柱的凹槽进入电池极柱。然后,穿过雾化器极柱中的轴开口(axial opening)进入雾化器,穿过雾化器进入吸烟者口中。尽管在电池极柱中也有一个进入电池的开口,但是仅有极少量的空气或烟雾能够穿过所述开口(以下称为压差通道),因为传感器周围的空间都被封闭了。结果,在吸气过程中,传感器通过所述的压差通道能够检测到压差。
在呼出烟雾过程中,烟雾不会向着传感器的方向进入电池部分,烟雾通过侧面的出口排出,与空气吸入的方向相反。这样的结构大大延长了电子烟的使用寿命。

具体实施方式
本发明涉及电子烟的电池-雾化器接头的各种实施例,所述接头产生一种吸气路径,使空气通过阳性接头(例如电池部分)进入,而不需要调整阴性接头(例如雾化器部分)。相应的,对于电子烟制造商来说,本发明允许设计的灵活性以及产品的多样性,并且保持了容易制备和大规模生产的优势,还具有其他优势,比如减轻了吸气过程中(例如抽烟或拖曳过程)咝咝的噪声。
图5-12描述了本发明接头的各种实施例。可以看出这些图描述了电子烟接头1的横截面,通过螺纹连接,接头1将电池部分结合到雾化器部分。如图5-12所述,位于接头近端3的阳性电池接头M将会与雾化器的阴性部分相配合,且通过压力或摩擦或其他合适的方式,接头的远端5和电池部分B(没有显示)相连,起到“罩(cap)”的作用。

如图10所示,在某些实施例中,通道19是沿着法兰7的远缘(distaledge),围绕法兰7的所有外周切削的。通道19的目的在于即使用户在抽烟时偶然将他的手指覆盖在凹槽9上,依然允许空气吸入。当上述情景发生时,空气进入通道19,沿着通道前进,直到到达和进入凹槽9。
如图11所示,在某些实施例中,通道21基本上是在法兰7的中间,围绕法兰7的所有外周切削的。几个孔径23是穿过法兰的外壁钻削的。通道21的目的在于即使用户在抽烟时偶然将他的手指覆盖在孔径23上,依然允许空气吸入。当上述情景发生时,空气进入通道21,沿着通道前进,直到到达和进入孔径23。
如图12所示,在某些实施例中,凹槽25是穿过接头1侧边的法兰7外壁,在重要位点(strategic location)切割的,凹槽25具有重要的几何形状(strategic geometry)。狭缝27是在接头1远端5的外面切割的,在凹槽25处开始,在远端5的末端结束。在这种结构中,凹槽25具有均匀过渡到狭缝27的矩形剖面(rectangular profile)。
图13-15显示了本发明接头的另一种实施例。图13显示了没有电池极柱(battery post)的接头,图14显示了电池接头,图15显示了组装在一起的接头和电池极柱。如图13所示,法兰7向着远端5的外周没有凹槽,法兰7的突出架31上钻有垂直表面通道30(perpendicular surface channels)。通道在孔口33(orifices)处继续穿透接头1的轴32(为了使附图更清楚,没有画出螺纹),且继续穿过内突出架(inner shelf)45。图14显示了结合后的电池极柱34,包括纵向孔口35(在极柱头部37开始,持续到完全纵向穿过极柱),纵向孔口35形成压差通道,和腔36一样,腔36帮助引导空气通过垂直表面通道30和孔口33进入或排出。
需要注意的是,尽管在图15中显示腔36和垂直表面通道30和孔口33对齐,这是因为极柱头部37的外径比轴32的内径要小,这样的对齐并不是空气畅通无阻穿过接头1所必须的。
图16描述了空气穿过图13-15所示的结合后的接头和电池极柱。如图16所示,这种结构的的可能缺陷是在烟雾排出时,任何多余的液体(如烟雾、唾液等)可能被吹到孔口35,进入压差通道和电池。
图17显示了用于消除上述问题的电池极柱的另一种实施例。如图所示,在极柱头部37上没有孔口穿过。而是,通往压差通道的空气路径是由通道38产生的,通道38钻在极柱37侧面39上的腔36附近。通道38被压差通道(没有显示)垂直分割,压差通道是从电池极柱40纵向钻孔的。
图18显示了空气穿过图13所示的接头,该接头采用了图17所示的电池极柱。如图所示,没有直接路径用于多余的液体流到电池区。
图5-18所示的这些实施例中,本发明的接头1具有额外的主要优势,即使得空气的吸入无声,而没有其他已知电子烟的嘶嘶噪声。本发明另一个主要的优势在于其在新近引进的V-go和E-go(大容量电子烟)电子烟(V-go and E-go E-cigarettes)中的应用。V-go和E-go电子烟基本上带有侧面吸气口,带有没有开口的阴性雾化器时无法使用。到目前为止,制造商一直不得不要么采用带有开口的阴性雾化器,要么采用没有开口的阳性雾化器。但是,采用本发明之后,有可能生产能够与端部吸气电子烟互换的V-go和E-go电子烟,使得它们兼容相同的已有的阴性未开口雾化器,而不需要调整雾化器。
需要注意的是,尽管上述实施例证实了本发明的某些实施例是可以设计的,例如电池包括阳性连接("male"connection),雾化器包括阴性连接("female"connection),相反的结构也可能同等适用,取决于设计需要。相应地,雾化器可能包括阳性连接,电池可能包括阴性连接。
需要注意的是,本发明公开了优选实施例,本领域技术可能对实施例进行调整和替换,依然在本发明的保护范围之内。

Claims (4)

1.一种用于连接电子烟两个末端的圆柱形接头,所述接头包括:
近端和远端;
从所述近端到所述远端穿过所述接头的纵向开口;
位于所述近端具有外螺纹的轴;
在所述远端外表面周向形成的多个腔;
位于所述近端和所述远端之间的具有外表面的法兰;
在所述法兰表面形成的凹槽,所述凹槽被设置与所述多个腔中的一个或多个腔流体连通;
其中,基于将封闭的电子烟端部连接到所述接头的所述远端,建立了在所述凹槽处开始的空气路径,所述空气路径继续穿过与所述凹槽流体连通的所述一个或多个腔,继续穿过所述纵向开口,且从所述近端排出。
2.如权利要求1所述的圆柱体接头,进一步包括:穿过所述接头外壁且穿过所述远端附近的一个或多个腔的孔径,其中所述的孔径与所述凹槽基本上径向对齐,其中所述孔径形成穿过所述接头的辅助空气路径。
3.如权利要求1所述的圆柱型接头,其中进一步包括:在所述法兰外表面上形成的径向通道,所述径向通道延伸到所述法兰的整个周长,在所述凹槽被堵塞时,所述径向通道为所述空气路径提供了另一个入口。
4.一种用于连接电子烟两个末端的圆柱形接头,所述接头包括:
近端和远端;
从所述近端到所述远端穿过所述接头的纵向开口;
位于所述近端具有外螺纹的轴;
在所述远端外表面周向形成的多个腔;
位于所述近端和所述远端之间的具有外表面的法兰;
在所述轴和所述远端之间由于外径不同而形成的突出架;
在所述突出架上形成的通道,所述通道与穿过所述轴的侧壁形成的孔径一致,且所述通道与所述纵向开口流体连通;
其中,基于将所述封闭式电子烟端部连接到所述接头的远端,在所述通道和所述纵向开口之间建立了空气路径,且所述空气路径从所述近端排出。
