本发明公开了一种阵列基板和显示装置,以解决自发光显示装置的像素退化问题。本发明中阵列基板包括驱动显示像素显示图像的电压驱动电路,以及电流感应电路,还包括测试像素、电流比较电路和电压补偿电路,其中,所述测试像素与所述电流感应电路连接,所述电流比较电路与所述电流感应电路和所述电压补偿电路相连接;所述电流比较电路,用于将所述电流感应电路感应到的流经所述测试像素的电流的电流值与设定阈值进行比较,并将比较结果输出至所述电压补偿电路;所述电压补偿电路,用于在所述电流值小于所述设定阈值时,对所述电压驱动电路的驱动电压进行补偿。通过本发明,能够对显示像素进行电流补偿,避免像素退化现象发生。

本发明涉及显示技术领域,尤其涉及一种阵列基板和显示装置。
背景技术
随着显示技术的发展,可见度高、不需要背光源的自发光显示装置越来越受到人们的关注。
AMOLED(Active Matrix Organic Light Emitting Diode,有源发光二极管显示器)作为一种电流型发光器件,由于能满足显示器高分辨率与大尺寸的要求,应用越来越广泛,AMOLED能够发光是由薄膜晶体管(Thin Film Transistor,TFT)在饱和状态时产生驱动电流并驱动有机发光元件,诸如OLED(Organic Light Emitting Diode,有机发光二极管)发光,OLED具有功耗低、亮度高、成本低、视角广,以及响应速度快等优点,备受关注,在有机发光技术领域得到了广泛的应用。
AMOLED中,包含有若干个按矩阵分布的像素单元,每个像素单元内包含有红色显示像素、绿色显示像素和蓝色显示像素,每个显示像素内设置有诸如OLED的有机发光元件,OLED等有机发光元件的性能影响显示像素的显示亮度,由于OLED等有机发光元件可能会因环境的影响而发生性能改变,性能改变的有机发光元件发光亮度会降低,进而影响正常的显示,超时使用会使得特定像素出现退化,随着时间的推移,退化的像素一直存在,使得该退化严重的像素区域出现Image sticking(图像烧灼)现象,进而降低了AMOLED使用寿命。
发明内容
本发明的目的是提供一种阵列基板和显示装置,以改善自发光显示装置中的像素退化现象。
本发明的目的是通过以下技术方案实现的:
本发明一方面提供一种阵列基板,该阵列基板包括驱动显示像素显示图像的电压驱动电路以及电流感应电路,还包括与显示像素具有相同的初始参数性能的测试像素、电流比较电路和电压补偿电路,其中,
所述测试像素与所述电流感应电路连接,所述电流比较电路与所述电流感应电路和所述电压补偿电路相连接;
所述电流比较电路,用于将所述电流感应电路感应到的流经所述测试像素的电流的电流值与设定阈值进行比较,并将比较结果输出至所述电压补偿电路;
所述电压补偿电路,用于在所述电流值小于所述设定阈值时,对所述电压驱动电路的驱动电压进行补偿。
本发明提供的阵列基板中,包括测试像素、电流比较电路和电压补偿电路,通过电流比较电路比较流经测试像素的电流值与设定的标准阈值的大小,当流经测试像素的电流值小于设定阈值时,电压补偿电路能够对电压驱动电路的驱动电压进行补偿,从而达到对流经显示像素的电流进行补偿,因此能够避免特定像素退化,进而能够避免Imagesticking现象的发生。
可选的,本发明实施例中测试像素包括红色测试像素、绿色测试像素和蓝色测试像素,以检测每种颜色的测试像素的电流值,实现对每种颜色的显示像素的补偿。
可选的,本发明实施例中测试像素为一个像素单元中的红色显示像素、绿色显示像素和蓝色显示像素,通过显示像素直接作为测试像素进行电流的检测,简化工艺。
可选的,本发明实施例中测试像素设置于非显示区域,以避免影响阵列基板的正常显示。
可选的,本发明实施例中测试像素可设置于显示区域,利用原有的显示像素直接作为测试像素时,简化电路设计。

通过比较器进行电流的比较,电路实现简单。每一种颜色的测试像素分别连接有比较器,能够实现对红色显示像素、绿色显示像素和蓝色显示像素分别进行检测补偿,避免因为其中一种颜色的显示像素发生退化,造成Image sticking现象的发生。

通过设置定时器,使所述电流比较电路在设定周期内对所述电流值与所述设定阈值进行比较,能够节约资源,避免供电不足,影响显示效果。
可选的,所述电压补偿电路与伽马基准电路相连接,通过调整伽马基准电路输出的伽马基准电压对驱动所述电压驱动电路的驱动电压进行补偿,以使电压调整更为精确可行。

下面将结合本发明实施例中的附图,对本发明实施例中的技术方案进行清楚、完整地描述,显然,所描述的实施例仅仅是本发明一部分实施例,并不是全部的实施例。基于本发明中的实施例,本领域普通技术人员在没有做出创造性劳动前提下所获得的所有其他实施例,都属于本发明保护的范围。
自发光显示装置中,流经显示像素有机发光元件的电流与显示像素的材料特性(例如温度特性)具有预设的关系,一般是成比例的,自发光显示装置中显示像素进行图像显示时,比较常用的驱动方式是采用电压驱动方式,电压驱动电路提供一个表示灰阶的电压信号,该电压信号会在像素电路内部被转化为驱动管的电流信号,即实现驱动电压被设定形成特定的驱动电流,驱动电流流经显示像素中的有机发光元件发光,进而使得显示像素进行图像显示。
像素发生退化时,一般体现为温度特性的变化,而像素中发射的温度与显示像素内流经的电流呈比例,当电流低于所需的特定电流时,则会发生热化,为了监测流经显示像素的电流大小,阵列基板中会设置电流感应电路,通过电流感应电路检测流经显示像素的电流,电流感应电路的主要功能是将输出或输入的电流转换为电压信号传给处理模块做进一步处理。
本发明实施例中可通过检测流经显示像素的电流的大小,确定当前像素是否为退化像素,当为退化像素时,则可通过补偿驱动电压,对其电流进行补偿,从而避免像素退化。
本发明实施例提供一种阵列基板,如图1所示为本发明实施例提供的阵列基板构成示意图,该阵列基板包括电压驱动电路1、电流感应电路2、与显示像素具有相同的初始参数性能的测试像素3、电流比较电路4和电压补偿电路5。
电压驱动电路1用于驱动显示像素显示图像。电流感应电路2与测试像素连接,用于确定流经测试像素3的电流。电流感应电路2还与电流比较电路4连接,将感应到的流经测试像素3的电流输出至电流比较电路4,电流比较电路4将电流感应电路2感应到的流经测试像素3的电流的电流值与设定阈值进行比较,将比较结果输出至与其连接的电压补偿电路5,电压补偿电路5用于在电流值小于设定阈值时,对驱动显示像素进行图像显示的电压驱动电路1的驱动电压进行补偿。
本发明实施例中与流经测试像素3的电流的电流值进行比较的设定阈值是反映显示像素基准材料温度特性对应的电流值,该反映显示像素基准材料温度特性对应的电流值在将显示像素制作完成后,其就为一固定的电流值。将感应电路感应到的测试像素的电流值与该设定阈值进行比较,当电流值小于设定阈值时,则说明该显示像素为退化像素,需要进行补偿,此时对驱动电压进行补偿,当电流值大于设定阈值时,则说明该显示像素为正常的显示像素,无需进行电流补偿,则可保持原有的驱动电压。
由于制作像素单元内的红色显示像素、绿色显示像素和蓝色显示像素的材料特性各不相同,所以每种颜色的显示像素的退化程度也可能不一样,本发明实施例中测试像素3包括红色测试像素、绿色测试像素和蓝色测试像素,使得每一种颜色的显示像素都有对应的测试像素,进而可实现对红色显示像素、绿色显示像素和蓝色显示像素分别进行检测补偿,避免因为其中一种颜色的显示像素发生退化,造成Image sticking现象的发生。
本发明实施例中可直接将显示像素作为测试像素,无需单独制作测试像素,优选的,本发明实施例中可将一个像素单元中的红色显示像素、绿色显示像素和蓝色显示像素作为测试像素,电流感应电路2直接通过检测显示像素中的电流,然后通过电流比较电路进行电流值的比较。
优选的,本发明实施例中为不影响显示区域显示像素的正常显示,可单独追加与红色显示像素、绿色显示像素和蓝色显示像素具有相同性能的红色测试像素、绿色测试像素和蓝色测试像素,即测试像素反馈的电流值即可反应流经显示像素的电流值,通过电流感应电路感应单独追加的测试像素的电流值,对显示像素的电流值进行补偿。
本发明实施例中单独追加的测试像素与显示像素采用相同的材料以及相同工艺制作,在运行上以及功能上完全模拟显示像素,即具有与显示像素相同的性能,并由电流感应电路2直接感应单独追加的测试像素的电流值输出至电流比较电路,电流比较电路将该测试像素的电流值与设定阈值进行比较,若电流值小于设定阈值,则说明与该测试像素对应的当前显示像素为退化像素,需要进行电流补偿,则电压补偿电路对驱动显示像素进行图像显示的电压驱动电路的驱动电压进行补偿。
进一步的,本发明实施例中测试像素可以在阵列基板的任意空间内追加,当然本发明实施例中优选将测试像素设置于非显示区域,以避免其对阵列基板的正常显示造成影响。可选的,本发明实施例中测试像素可设置于显示区域,利用原有的显示像素直接作为测试像素时,无需设置过长的外围引线,简化电路设计。
进一步的,本发明实施例中电流比较电路4可以是由比较器构成的电流比较电路,通过比较器对电流感应电路感应到的流经测试像素的电流的电流值与设定阈值进行比较,电路实现简单,若比较器比较的结果为测试像素的电流值不小于设定阈值,则不改变驱动电压的大小,保持原有渠道电流的大小,若比较器比较的结果为测试像素的电流值小于设定阈值,则设置新的驱动电压,对驱动电压进行补偿。
进一步的,本发明实施例中电流比较电路中包括与红色测试像素、绿色测试像素和蓝色测试像素分别连接的比较器,如图2所示。图2中每一种颜色的测试像素分别连接一比较器,比较器的正输入端连接红色测试像素、绿色测试像素或蓝色测试像素,负输入端连接基准电压,该基准电压可以是原有设定的固定值,也可以是更新后的驱动电压。通过本发明图2所示的电路结构,可实现对红色显示像素、绿色显示像素和蓝色显示像素分别进行检测补偿,避免因为其中一种颜色的显示像素发生退化,造成Image sticking现象的发生。
优选的,本发明实施例可设置一与电流比较电路4相连接的计时器6,如图3所示,通过该计时器设定周期,使电流比较电路在设定周期内对流经测试像素的电流值与设定阈值进行比较,以节省资源,以防止供电不足,影响显示效果。
需要说明的是,本发明实施例也可通过其它方式设定周期,例如采用复位,重新上电等方式,本发明实施例不做限定。
进一步的,本发明实施例中补偿电路对驱动电压进行调整时,可以直接调整源电压,也可通过调整伽马基准电压,本发明实施例中优选通过伽马基准电压进行调整,电压补偿电路5与伽马基准电路相连接,当电流值比设定阈值小时,则设置新的电压电平,更新LUT(Look Up Table,像素灰度映射表),通过调整伽马基准电路输出的伽马基准电压达到调整驱动电压的目的,当电流值比设定阈值大时,则保持原有电压电平,如图4所示。
优选的,本发明实施例中可将阈值进一步细分化,设定多个阈值,当电流值超过一个阈值时,则改变设定的阈值为另一个阈值,保持一段时间直至超过另一个阈值,再进行调整,可以使得显示像素的电流得到更精确的补偿。
本发明实施例中当采用多个设定阈值时,因为输入电压可能存在漂移以及环境温度影响,使得显示像素流经的电流并不会发生明显的变化,但是可能出现阈值设定误差,故本发明实施例中电流比较电路中可设置施密特触发器以检测该误差,施密特触发器能够把变化缓慢的输入信号整形成边沿陡峭的矩形脉冲,并且施密特触发器具有两个阈值电压,分别为正向阈值电压和负向阈值电压,施密特触发器的电压传输特性曲线具有一Hysteresis region(滞后区域),当规定了误差范围时,利用施密特触发器电路,则能够弥补阈值误差的缺陷。
本发明还提供了一种显示装置,该显示装置包括上述涉及的任意一种阵列基板。
需要说明的是,本发明实施例涉及的显示装置可以为:液晶显示面板、电子纸、OLED面板、手机、平板电脑、电视机、显示器、笔记本电脑、数码相框、导航仪等任何具有显示功能的产品或部件。
本发明实施例提供的显示装置的阵列基板中,包括测试像素、电流比较电路和电压补偿电路,通过电流比较电路比较流经测试像素的电流值与设定的标准阈值的大小,当流经测试像素的电流值小于设定阈值时,电压补偿电路能够对电压驱动电路的驱动电压进行补偿,从而达到对流经显示像素的电流进行补偿,因此能够避免特定像素退化,进而能够避免Image sticking现象的发生。
显然,本领域的技术人员可以对本发明进行各种改动和变型而不脱离本发明的精神和范围。这样,倘若本发明的这些修改和变型属于本发明权利要求及其等同技术的范围之内,则本发明也意图包含这些改动和变型在内。
Claims (9)
1.一种阵列基板,包括驱动显示像素显示图像的电压驱动电路,以及电流感应电路,其特征在于,还包括与显示像素具有相同的初始参数性能的测试像素、电流比较电路和电压补偿电路,其中,
所述测试像素与所述电流感应电路连接,所述电流比较电路与所述电流感应电路和所述电压补偿电路相连接;
所述电流比较电路,用于将所述电流感应电路感应到的流经所述测试像素的电流的电流值与多个阈值进行比较,所述多个阈值为一设定阈值细分化后得到的多个阈值,当电流值超过一个所述阈值时,则改变所述阈值为另一个所述阈值,并将比较结果输出至所述电压补偿电路,所述设定阈值是反映显示像素基准材料温度特性对应的电流值;
所述电压补偿电路,用于仅在所述电流值小于所述阈值时,对所述电压驱动电路的驱动电压进行补偿。
2.如权利要求1所述的阵列基板,其特征在于,所述测试像素包括红色测试像素、绿色测试像素和蓝色测试像素。
3.如权利要求2所述的阵列基板,其特征在于,所述测试像素为一个像素单元中的红色显示像素、绿色显示像素和蓝色显示像素。
4.如权利要求2所述的阵列基板,其特征在于,所述测试像素设置于非显示区域。
5.如权利要求2所述的阵列基板,其特征在于,所述测试像素设置于显示区域。
6.如权利要求2所述的阵列基板,其特征在于,所述电流比较电路包括与所述红色测试像素、所述绿色测试像素和所述蓝色测试像素分别连接的比较器,其中,
所述比较器的正输入端连接所述红色测试像素、所述绿色测试像素或所述蓝色测试像素,负输入端连接基准电压。
7.如权利要求1所述的阵列基板,其特征在于,还包括:与所述电流比较电路相连接的计时器,其中,
所述计时器用于设定周期,使所述电流比较电路在设定周期内对所述电流值与所述设定阈值进行比较。
8.如权利要求1所述的阵列基板,其特征在于,所述电压补偿电路与伽马基准电路相连接,通过调整伽马基准电路输出的伽马基准电压对驱动所述电压驱动电路的驱动电压进行补偿。
9.一种显示装置,其特征在于,包括权利要求1-8任一项所述的阵列基板。
