2.相关技术的描述
大豆(soybean)(大豆(Glycine max))猝死综合征(SDS)是美国最具经济毁灭性的植物病害之一。在最破坏产量的大豆病害中,每年的平均损失超过$1.9亿。产量损失通常为20%至50%,在重受灾区已报道了100%的产量损失。
SDS最早在1971年在阿肯色州发现,在美国中北部的大多数州,包括伊利诺伊州、印第安纳州、爱荷华州、堪萨斯州、肯塔基州、明尼苏达州、密西西比州、密苏里州、内布拉斯加州、俄亥俄州和田纳西州已有报道。例如在加拿大、阿根廷和巴西也已报道了SDS。当大豆早期种植在湿冷土壤中时并且当严重的仲夏雨水浸透土壤时,该病害看起来最严重。
在北美,SDS据报道由土传真菌接种茄病镰刀菌(也称作Fusarium virguliforme)造成,而在南美洲,SDS看起来由Fusarium tucumaniae造成。尽管该病原体定殖于大豆根部以造成根腐和根茎的维管变色,SDS的最明显的早期症状包括叶子的斑点和花斑。稍后产生脉内萎黄病和/或枯斑(分别为叶子上的黄色和/或褐色斑点),接着突然掉叶子但留住柄部(叶柄)。已从大豆根部和茎下部,而未从叶子中分离出该病原体。叶子症状被认为由感染的根部上或内产生的真菌毒素(其随后转移至叶子)造成。
现有SDS治理选择有限。尽管已开发出较不易感SDS的大豆品种,但没有高抗性品种;大豆培育者正在开发抗SDS的品种,但进展缓慢。迄今,在种植过程中在垄沟中施加或作为种子处理剂施加的杀真菌剂仅表现出有限效果。向叶子施加杀真菌剂的尝试对SDS无效,可能是因为真菌感染局限于根系且杀真菌剂通常不在植物中向下移至感染位置。
当在田间最初出现症状时,它们可能局限于若干小区域—通常湿或压实的区域,如地头(turn row)。症状区域可能在随后数周扩大,田间的非相邻区域也可能表现出症状。由于镰刀菌属真菌可以在土壤中过冬,表现出该病害症状的田间区域通常随各自生长季长大。
玉米(玉蜀黍)也可能是镰刀菌属病原体的宿主,因为其据报道在玉米粒和其它玉米碎上存活。在玉米/大豆轮作田(rotation field)中已报道了严重的SDS,其中在先前没有观察到SDS。据推测,镰刀菌属作为厚垣孢子在作物残茬中或自由地在土壤中活过冬季。厚垣孢子可经受宽土壤温度波动(包括结冰)并抗干燥。随着土壤温度在春天升高,刺激大豆根部附近的厚垣孢子萌发,随后感染大豆根部。
看起来有几个因素影响SDS的传播和严重度。这些因素之一是大豆胞囊线虫(SCN)。在SCN胞囊内已发现Fusarium virguliforme,导致推测这两种因素都造成SDS症状。尽管已在不存在SCN的情况下观察到SDS,但在易受感染的大豆品种中,当这两种病原体都存在时,SDS带来的损害远大于仅存在任一病原体时。

本文中提供了用于控制植物和种子中的微生物(例如细菌、病毒或真菌)损害或侵扰的改进的组合物和方法。所公开的制剂的意外效力代表显著进步,因为可以降低控制微生物损害所需的组合物总量而不危害作物产量。借助本发明的一些组合,对微生物损害或侵扰的控制程度意外地明显高于由单独的组合物组分的总和所预期的(例如观察到协同效应)。因此,控制植物中的所述微生物损害或侵扰所需的组合物量明显低于由单独的组合物组分的总和预期的量。这些发现显著改进成本-效益比,同时降低产生微生物抗性的机会。此外,当处理种子时,因为种子相对较小,可供施加任何组合物的空间有限。因此,在不危害效力的情况下降低控制微生物损害或侵扰所需的组合物的量(体积)也代表显著进步。
种子
该组合物尤其适合保护农业、温室、森林或园艺中使用的任何植物物种的种子免受上述病害、免受Fusarium virguliforme、免受Fusarium tucumaniae、免受大豆胞囊线虫,尤其免受SDS。更特别地,该种子可以是谷物(如小麦、大麦、黑麦、粟和高粱和燕麦)、玉米、棉花、大豆、稻米、马铃薯、向日葵、大豆、咖啡、甜菜(例如糖用甜菜和饲用甜菜)、花生、蔬菜(如西红柿、黄瓜、洋葱和莴苣)、草坪和观赏植物的种子。特别有意义的是处理谷物(如小麦、大麦、黑麦和燕麦)、玉米、稻米、棉花,尤其是大豆的种子。
在本公开的上下文中,所述至少一种通式(I)的化合物可独自或在合适的制剂中施加到种子上。待处理的种子优选处于足够稳定的状态以使该处理几乎至完全不造成损害。一般而言,种子的处理可以在收获和播种之间的任何点进行。通常,所用种子从植物中分离并从玉米穗轴、壳、杆、包衣、茸毛(hairs)或任何水果的果肉中剥离。例如,可以使用已收获、清洁并干燥至小于15重量%湿含量的种子。或者,也可以使用在干燥后已例如用水处理并随后再干燥的种子。优选地,以不会不利地影响种子萌芽并且不会损害生成的植物的量选择施加到种子上的所述至少一种通式(I)化合物的量和/或其它添加剂的量。
该组合物可以直接施加到种子上(即不含任何其它组分并且尚未稀释)。一般而言,优选以合适的制剂形式将该组合物施加到种子上。适用于处理种子的制剂和方法是本领域普通技术人员已知的那些并例如描述在下列文献中,它们以引用的方式并入本文:美国专利No. 4,272,417;美国专利No. 4,245,432;美国专利No. 4,808,430;美国专利No.5,876,739;US 2003/0176428 A1;WO 2002/080675 A1;和WO 2002/028186 A2。
为了施加到种子上,本公开的组合物可以转化成常规拌种产品制剂,如溶液、乳剂、悬浮剂、粉剂、泡沫剂、浆液和用于种子的其它包衣组合物和超低容量(“ULV”)制剂。这样的制剂以已知方式通过将活性成分或活性成分组合与常规添加剂,例如常规增量剂、溶剂、稀释剂、染料、润湿剂、分散剂、乳化剂、防沫剂、防腐剂、次要增稠剂、粘合剂、赤霉素和/或水混合制备。可根据本公开使用的拌种产品制剂中可存在的染料是常规用于此目的的所有染料。可以使用微溶于水的颜料和可溶于水的染料两者。染料的实例包括以名称若丹明B、C.I.颜料红112 (“CI 12370”)和C.I.溶剂红1(“Oil Pink”)已知的那些。可根据本公开使用的拌种产品制剂中可存在的润湿剂是照惯例用于配制活性农用化学成分和用于促进润湿的所有物质。可优选使用烷基萘磺酸盐,如二异丙基-或二异丁基萘磺酸盐。可根据本公开使用的拌种产品制剂中可存在的可用分散剂和/或乳化剂是照惯例用于配制活性农用化学成分的所有非离子型、阴离子型和阳离子型分散剂。可优选使用非离子型或阴离子型分散剂、或非离子型或阴离子型分散剂的混合物。合适的非离子型分散剂特别包括环氧乙烷/环氧丙烷嵌段聚合物、烷基酚聚二醇醚和三苯乙烯基酚聚二醇醚和它们的磷酸化或硫酸化衍生物。合适的阴离子型分散剂特别是木素磺酸盐、聚丙烯酸盐和芳基磺酸盐/甲醛缩合物。可根据本公开使用的拌种产品制剂中可存在的防沫剂是照惯例用于配制活性农用化学成分的所有抑泡物质。可优选使用硅酮防沫剂和硬脂酸镁。可根据本公开使用的拌种产品制剂中可存在的防腐剂是可在农用化学组合物中用于此目的的所有物质。实例包括双氯酚和苄醇半缩甲醛。可根据本公开使用的拌种产品制剂中可存在的次要增稠剂是可在农用化学组合物中用于此目的的所有物质。纤维素衍生物、丙烯酸衍生物、黄原胶、改性粘土和细碎二氧化硅是优选的。可根据本公开使用的拌种产品制剂中可存在的粘合剂是拌种产品中可用的所有常规粘合剂。优选的是给出聚乙烯基吡咯烷酮、聚乙酸乙烯酯、聚乙烯醇和tylose。可根据本公开使用的拌种产品制剂中可存在的赤霉素优选是赤霉素A1、A3(“赤霉酸”、“GA”或“GA3”)、A4和A7,特别优选给出使用赤霉酸。赤霉素是已知的(参见例如Chemieder Pflanzenschutz- und Schädlingsbekämpfungsmittel [Chemistry of PlantProtectants and Pesticides], 第2卷, 第401-412页 (R. 可以用于用可根据本公开使用的拌种产品制剂或用由其通过添加水制成的制剂处理种子的可用装置是通常可用于拌种的所有混合装置。具体而言,拌种程序是将种子装入混合器中,添加每种情况中所需的量的拌种产品制剂(原样或在预先用水稀释后),然后混合该混合器的内容物直至该制剂已均匀分布在种子上。如果适当,此后接着干燥过程。

土壤/根部
垄沟施加被理解为是指通过将该组合物浸润到土壤上、将其掺入土壤中和在灌溉系统中滴加到土壤上来控制真菌和/或线虫(包括,但不限于Fusarium virguliforme、Fusarium tucumaniae和/或大豆胞囊线虫)。本公开涉及向天然(土壤)或人工基质(例如石棉、玻璃棉、石英砂、卵石、膨胀粘土、蛭石)、室外或在封闭系统中(例如温室或在薄膜覆盖下)和在一年生(例如蔬菜、马铃薯、棉花、甜菜、玉米、大豆或观赏植物)或多年生作物(例如柑橘植物、水果、热带作物、香辛料、坚果、藤本植物、针叶树和观赏植物)中的这些施加形式。也可以通过超低容量(ULV)法使用活性成分或将活性成分制剂或活性成分本身注入土壤中。根部施加被理解为是指通过直接向植物根部施加该组合物(例如通过浸渍、撒粉或喷雾)来控制真菌和/或线虫。
为了在垄沟和/或根部施加,可以将该组合物转化成常规制剂,如溶液、乳剂、可湿性粉剂、悬浮剂、粉剂、粉尘剂、糊剂、可溶粉剂、颗粒剂、悬浮-乳剂浓缩剂、用活性成分浸渍的天然和合成材料、和用于垄沟施加的在聚合材料中的微胶囊。这些制剂以已知方式例如通过将活性成分与常规添加剂,如增量剂,即液体溶剂和/或固体载体混合制造,任选使用表面活性剂,即乳化剂和/或分散剂,和/或发泡剂。如果所用增量剂是水,也可以例如使用有机溶剂作为助溶剂。下列适合作为液体溶剂:芳烃,如二甲苯、甲苯或烷基萘,氯化芳烃或氯化脂族烃,如氯苯、氯乙烯或二氯甲烷,脂族烃,如环己烷或石蜡,例如矿物油馏分,矿物油或植物油,醇,如丁醇或二醇和它们的醚和酯,酮,如丙酮、甲乙酮、甲基异丁基酮或环己酮,强极性溶剂,如二甲基甲酰胺和二甲亚砜,和水。在该制剂中可以使用增粘剂如羧甲基纤维素和粉末、颗粒或晶格形式的天然和合成聚合物,如阿拉伯树胶、聚乙烯醇和聚乙酸乙烯酯,或天然磷脂,如脑磷脂和卵磷脂和合成磷脂。其它可能的添加剂是矿物油和植物油。可以使用染料,如无机颜料,例如氧化铁、氧化钛和普鲁士蓝,和有机着色剂,如茜素染料、偶氮染料和金属酞菁染料,和微量营养素,如铁、锰、硼、铜、钴、钼和锌的盐。该制剂通常含有大约0.001至大约99.9重量%的活性成分,优选大约0.5至大约90%。添加剂含量可以包含该组合物的按重量计的大约0.1%至大约40%,大约5%至大约40%,大约10%至大约40%,大约20%至大约40%,大约30%至大约40%,大约0.1%至大约30%,大约0.1%至大约20%,大约0.1%至大约10%,和大约0.1%至大约5%。该组合物可作为与其它活性成分,如杀虫剂、引诱剂、消毒剂、杀细菌剂、杀螨剂、杀线虫剂、杀真菌剂、生长调节物质或除草剂(包括上述那些)的混合物存在于由这些组合物制成的商业标准制剂和使用形式中。例如,杀虫剂可以尤其包括磷酸酯、氨基甲酸酯、羧酸酯、氯化烃、苯基脲和由微生物产生的物质。也可以与其它已知活性成分,如除草剂或与肥料和生长调节剂混合。当用于非垄沟和/或根部施加时(例如当用于施加到种子上时),该制剂也可含有上述常规添加剂。由该组合物制成的使用形式的活性成分含量可以在宽界限内变化,并可以为大约1×10-7至大约99.9重量%的活性成分,优选大约1×10-4至大约50重量%。所述至少一种通式(I)的化合物在由该组合物制成的使用形式中的量也可以在宽界限内变化,并可以为大约1×10-7至大约99.9重量%的所述至少一种通式(I)化合物,优选大约1×10-5至大约50重量%。
还提供降低SDS发生率的方法,包括向种子、向植物正在其中生长或期望使植物在其中生长的土壤、向植物的根部或其组合施加有效量的如上公开的组合物。可如上所述进行该施加。在一个实施方案中,该组合物包含选自N-{2-[3-氯-5-(三氟甲基)-2-吡啶基]乙基}-2-三氟甲基苯甲酰胺(常称作“氟吡菌酰胺”);N-{2-[3-氯-5-(三氟甲基)-2-吡啶基]乙基}-2-碘苯甲酰胺;N-{2-[3-氯-5-(三氟甲基)-2-吡啶基]乙基}-2-溴苯甲酰胺及其组合的至少一种化合物。在一个实施方案中,所述至少一种化合物是氟吡菌酰胺。在一个实施方案中,将该组合物施加到种子的至少一部分上。在一个实施方案中,种子基本被该组合物包衣。在一个实施方案中,在种子或幼苗种植过程中或在长成的植物的移植过程中垄沟施加该组合物。在一个实施方案中,降低发生率包括与没有用本组合物和方法处理的种子或植物相比降低平均病害严重度。一方面,降低发生率包括与没有用通式(I)的化合物处理的种子、植物或植物根部相比降低平均病害发生率。一方面,降低发生率包括与没有用通式(I)的化合物处理的种子、植物或植物根部相比减少平均脱叶。在一个实施方案中,降低发生率包括与没有用本组合物和方法处理的种子或植物相比提高植物的产量(例如蒲式耳/英亩)。在一个实施方案中,该种子、幼苗、植物或根是大豆种子、幼苗、植物或根。在一个实施方案中,该种子、幼苗、植物或根是玉米种子、幼苗、植物或根。
实施例1
用Trilex® 2000(7.12% (w/v)肟菌酯,5.69 % (w/v)甲霜灵)、Gaucho® 600 FS(48.7% (w/v)吡虫啉)、Votivo® 240 FS(21.5% (w/v)坚强芽孢杆菌菌株I-1582)和氟吡菌酰胺(41.5% (w/v))以表1中所示的量和组合处理大豆种子(大豆(Glycine max (L.)Merr.), 品系不确定)。

评估种子生长和抗SDS性。收集关于病害发生率和严重度、植物活力、植物计数、植物密度、脱叶和产量的数据。SDS的鉴定基于“Compendium of Soybean Diseases” (GlenLee Hartman, J. B. Sinclair和John Clark Rupe编著. Am. Phytopathological Soc.1999)中描述的可见症状。
病害发生率被定义为地块中存在可见的SDS症状的植物的百分比。例如,如果地块中的所有植物表现出SDS症状,发生率的值为100%。如图1中所示,用氟吡菌酰胺(含或不含附加活性剂)处理过的种子长成的大豆植物与没有接受氟吡菌酰胺的种子长成的植物相比表现出显著降低的病害发生率。尽管Trilex 2000(肟菌酯)和氟吡菌酰胺都是杀真菌剂,用肟菌酯和吡虫啉但没有用氟吡菌酰胺处理的种子(栏2 & 7)表现出比仅用氟吡菌酰胺(栏4-6)或与其它活性剂组合的氟吡菌酰胺(栏8-10)处理的种子更低的病害发生率。图1中的各条上的值是该条的沿y-轴的值。
通过检查植物顶端的叶区和测定SDS感染的面积(以总面积的百分比表示),在0%至100%标度上以严重度百分比测定病害症状的严重度。如图2所示,用氟吡菌酰胺处理过的种子长成的大豆植物(栏4-6和8-10)与没有接受氟吡菌酰胺的种子长成的植物(栏1-3和7)相比表现出更低病害严重度。尽管肟菌酯(包含在Trilex® 2000中)和氟吡菌酰胺都是杀真菌剂,如栏2所示,用肟菌酯和杀虫剂吡虫啉(Gaucho® 600 FS)处理的种子表现出比仅用氟吡菌酰胺或与其它活性剂组合的氟吡菌酰胺处理的种子更高的病害严重度。图2中的误差条代表标准误差,且各条上方的值是该条的沿y-轴的值。

如图3中所示,所有处理与未处理的对照物相比表现出改进的活力。图3的误差条代表标准误差,且各条内的值是该条的沿y-轴的值。用氟吡菌酰胺处理过的种子长成的植物(栏4-6和8-10)的活力不受负面影响,这些植物与没有用氟吡菌酰胺处理的种子长成的植物相比表现出更少的SDS症状。
作为与对照物相比的密度变化计算植物密度。如图4中所示,仅用氟吡菌酰胺处理(栏4-6)与相对于对照物(栏1)降低的计数密度相关联,用0.17毫克氟吡菌酰胺/种子和与肟菌酯、甲霜灵、吡虫啉和坚强芽孢杆菌菌株I-1582结合的0.67毫克氟吡菌酰胺/种子处理(栏8 & 10)也如此。各条上方或下方的值是该条的沿y-轴的值。
脱叶被定义为是在给定地块中表现出脱叶迹象的植物的百分比(即在0%至100%标度上)。如图5所示,用氟吡菌酰胺处理过的种子长成的大豆植物(栏4-6和8-10)表现出比没有接受氟吡菌酰胺的种子长成的植物更低的脱叶。类似于图1中观察到的趋势,用肟菌酯、甲霜灵和吡虫啉和/或用坚强芽孢杆菌菌株I-1582处理过的种子(栏2、3和7)表现出比仅用氟吡菌酰胺或与其它活性剂组合的氟吡菌酰胺处理的种子更高的脱叶。各条上方的值是该条的沿y-轴的值。
为了测定产量,从各地块收获大豆,称重并测定它们的湿含量。将来自各处理的数据归一化至60磅大豆(13%湿度)的标准重量。如图6所示,用氟吡菌酰胺处理过的种子长成的大豆植物表现出比没有用氟吡菌酰胺处理的种子长成的植物更高的产量百分比。各条上方或下方的值是该条的沿y-轴的值。
不希望受制于理论,申请人推测,在用氟吡菌酰胺处理过的种子长成的植物中观察到的降低的SDS发生率和严重度有助于改进活力和降低脱叶,这又有助于改进产量。这种结果令人惊讶,因为氟吡菌酰胺对镰刀菌属的效力低于其它真菌。
