优选地,停止装置是储存部分的部件。优选地,烟雾生成系统是电操作系统。该烟雾生成元件优选是电操作的。优选地,储存部分可与烟雾生成系统的主体部分是可分离的,控制电路设置在烟雾生成系统的主体部分中。
有利地,可以因为某些原因而使储存部分自动停止运行。如果储存部分是空的或几乎是空的,或者,如果系统出现故障,该系统就不会产生具有所需特性(如,烟雾颗粒尺寸或化学成分)的烟雾。另外,如果储液部分是空的或几乎是空的,使储存部分停止运行是一种告知使用者需要置换烟雾形成基质的方式。另外,使储存部分自动停止运行可用来防止再使用这种填充有低劣、不合适或甚至有害基质材料的储存部分,或至少更难以再使用这种储存部分。
烟雾生成系统优选还包括主体部分,储存部分形成可消耗筒或是可消耗筒的一部分,可消耗筒被配置为连接到主体部分上。有利地,可使所述可消耗筒停止运行但保持主体部分为可重复使用部件。主体部分可包括更昂贵的元件,如控制电路和用户界面。
优选地,停止装置是一种电气部件,其被配置为通过停止信号被转换或破坏。优选地,该部件是电保险丝,可通过相当高的电流信号而被烧断。优选地,停止信号是足以烧断保险丝的电流。但是,可使用其他电气部件,如开关或晶体管。但是,也可使用其他装置来使储存部分停止运行。例如,控制电路可配置为,在致动烟雾生成元件之前可光学检查储存部分,停止装置可以是储存部分上的电致变色材料或热变色墨,响应于停止信号,加热器加热该热变色墨。
可供选择地,如果使用逻辑线路通过唯一标识符识别和辨认储存部分,可使用相同线路将“无效位”(特征位)写入线路的存储器中,从而,储存部分就可“停止运行”,就不能与该基础的烟雾生成系统一起使用。但是,如果储存部分包括这种逻辑线路,那么无效位甚至可存储在储存部分自身中,从而可避免储存部分另外与其他烟雾生成系统一起使用。
控制电路优选被配置为测定或估测出储存部分中的烟雾形成基质的量何时低于极限值,当测定或估测出储存部分中的烟雾形成基质的量低于极限值时,发出停止信号。控制电路通过直接测定、间接测定或计算而可确定储存部分中的基质的量。例如,该系统可包括可直接测量储存部分的质量的装置,如天平。控制电路可被配置为,通过检测系统的使用状况来计算所消耗的基质质量。例如,控制电路可根据烟雾生成元件已被致动的次数计算出基质的消耗量。可供选择地,控制电路可使用系统性能的变化(其表示储存部分变空)来估测储存部分中的基质剩余量。
储液部分中的液态烟雾形成基质的极限量可以是绝对量或相对量(如,百分值)。
如果液态的烟雾形成基质量减小,例如,如果储液部分是空的或接近是空的,那么就没有充足量的液态烟雾形成基质被输送到烟雾生成元件中。如果使用加热器作为烟雾生成元件,那么就会导致加热器的温度升高。从而,通过温度传感器检测出加热器的温度,可使电气线路确定储液部分中的液态烟雾形成基质的量是否已经降低至预定极限值。
控制电路优选被配置为,当控制电路已经检测出系统出现故障时,发出停止信号。例如,如果使用加热器产生烟雾,那么可使用温度传感器检测加热器或基质的任何过热状态。温度传感器连接到控制电路上,如果温度传感器检测出的温度超过第一温度极限值,那么控制电路发出停止信号。这是有益的,因为这样可使系统避免产生不适宜或有害的烟雾成分。
烟雾形成基质优选具有一些适用于烟雾生成系统的物理属性(如,沸点)。烟雾形成基质优选为液体。该液体优选包括含有烟草的材料,这种材料含有易挥发性烟草香精成分,其一受热就可从液体中排放出来。可供选择地,或另外,这种液体可包括非烟草材料。这种液体可以包括水、溶剂、乙醇、植物提取物、以及天然或人造香精。优选地,该液体还包括烟雾形成物。合适的烟雾形成物的例子是甘油和丙二醇。
优选地,储存部分被配置为:可保护储存部分中的基质免受周围空气的破坏,在某些实施例中储存部分中的基质质轻,这样可显著减低基质退化的风险。另外,可保持良好的卫生状况。
烟雾形成元件优选为加热器,其被配置为加热基质。但是,可使用其他烟雾生成元件,如振动式换能器。
所述加热器优选是电加热器。电加热器可以包括单一的电加热元件。可供选择地,电加热器可以包括一个以上的加热元件,例如,包括两个、或三个、或四个、或五个、或六个、或更多个加热元件。该加热元件或这些加热元件可被合适地布置,以最有效地加热液态烟雾形成基质。
优选地,控制电路被配置为,响应于温度或电阻测量值发出停止信号。更优选地,控制电路被配置为,如果测定出加热元件的温度或电阻已经超过预定极限值,响应于该测定结果发出停止信号。
电加热元件(或多个电加热元件)优选包括电阻材料。合适的电阻材料包括但不局限于:诸如掺杂陶瓷、“导电”陶瓷(如二硅化钼)的半导体、碳、石墨、金属、金属合金以及由陶瓷材料和金属材料构成的复合材料。这类复合材料可包括掺杂陶瓷或纯陶瓷。合适的掺杂陶瓷的例子包括掺杂碳化硅。合适金属的例子包括钛、锆、钽以及铂系元素中的金属。合适的金属合金的例子包括不锈钢、康铜、含镍合金、含钴合金、含铬合金、含铝合金、含钛合金、含锆合金、含铪合金、含铌合金、含钼合金、含钽合金、含钨合金、含锡合金、含镓合金、含锰合金和含铁合金、以及,基于镍、铁、钴、不锈钢、的超耐热合金、铁铝基合金和铁锰铝基合金。是钛金属公司(TitaniumMetalsCorporation)的注册商标。在复合材料中,根据能量传递动力学以及所需的外部物理化学属性,电阻材料可选择地嵌入、包入绝缘材料中或包覆有绝缘材料;反之亦然。加热元件可包括金属蚀箔,该金属蚀箔在两层惰性材料层之间保持绝缘。这种情况下,惰性材料可包括卡普顿全聚酰亚胺或云母箔。卡普顿是杜邦公司(E.I.duPontdeNemoursandCompany)的注册商标。
电加热元件可以采用任何合适的结构形式。例如,至少一个电加热元件可以采用加热片的结构形式。可供选择地,所述至少一个电加热元件可采用的结构形式为具有不同的导电部分的套筒或基底,或电阻金属管。储存部分可合并可处理掉的加热元件。可供选择地,一个或更多个穿透烟雾形成基质的加热针或杆的结构也是合适的。可供选择地,电加热元件包括柔性板材。其他替换形式包括,加热线或金属丝(如,镍铬、铂、钨或合金金属丝)、或加热板。可选择地,加热元件可沉积在硬质载体材料中或硬质载体材料上。

加热器可通过传导方式加热液态的烟雾形成基质。加热器可以至少局部接触基质。可供选择地,来自加热器的热量可通过导热元件传导给基质。
可供选择地,使用过程中,周围空气被引入电动烟雾生成系统中,加热器将热量传递给该正被引入的周围空气中,进而通过对流加热烟雾形成基质。周围空气在经过烟雾形成基质之前被加热。可供选择地,周围空气首先被引入基质中,然后被加热。
优选地,烟雾形成基质在室温状态下为液体,烟雾生成系统还包括毛细管芯,其用于将液态烟雾形成基质从储存部分传送到烟雾生成元件中。
优选地,毛细管芯被设置为接触储存部分中的液体。优选地,毛细管芯伸入储存部分中。这种情况下,使用时,液体通过毛细管芯的毛细管作用从储存部分传送到电加热器(或其他烟雾生成元件)中。在一个实施例中,毛细管芯具有第一端和第二端,第一端伸入储存部分中以接触其中的液体,电加热器被设置为加热第二端处的液体。当加热器被致动时,位于毛细管芯的第二端处的液体通过加热器的至少一个加热元件被蒸发以形成过饱和蒸汽。过饱和蒸汽与气流混合并夹带在气流中。流动期间,蒸汽冷凝,形成烟雾,然后烟雾朝使用者的嘴被传送。液态烟雾形成基质具有一些物理属性(包括粘度),可使液体在毛细管作用下通过毛细管芯被输送。

烟雾生成系统可包括用户显示屏。在这种情况下,显示信息包括用户显示屏上的显示内容。可供选择地,显示信息可包括声信号、或者对于使用者来说任何合适类型的提示信号。
烟雾生成系统还可包括电源。优选地,烟雾生成系统包括壳体。优选地,壳体是细长形状。如果烟雾生成系统包括毛细管芯,那么,在使用过程中,毛细管芯的纵轴线和壳体纵轴线可基本上平行。壳体包括可外壳和烟嘴。这种情况下,所有部件可容纳在外壳或烟嘴中。在某优选实施例中,壳体包括可拆卸的消耗筒、毛细管芯和加热器,消耗筒包括储存部分。在该实施例中,烟雾生成系统的这些部件可作为单一元件而从壳体中拆卸下来。

图1示出了电动烟雾生成系统的一个实例,该系统具有储液部分。在图1中,该系统是一种生烟系统。图1中的生烟系统100包括壳体101,壳体具有烟嘴端103和主体端105。在主体端,设置有电池107形式的电源和电控线路109。烟检测系统111也设置成与电控线路109相互配合。在烟嘴端,设置有筒113结构形式的储液部分、毛细管芯117和加热器119,所述筒中含有液体115。请注意,在图1中仅示意性示出加热器。在图1所示的示例性实施例中,毛细管芯117的一端伸入筒113中,毛细管芯的另一端被加热器119包围。加热器通过接线121连接到电控线路上,该接线可沿筒113的外侧延伸(图1中未示出)。壳体101还包括进气口123、位于烟嘴端的排气口125、以及烟雾形成腔127。
使用时,以下述方式进行操作。通过毛细管作用将筒113中的液体115从毛细管芯117的一端(该端伸入所述筒中)传送到毛细管芯117的另一端(该端被加热器119包围)。当使用者在烟雾生成系统的排气口125处抽吸时,周围空气被吸入进气口123。在图1所示的布置结构中,烟检测系统111检测出烟,然后致动加热器119。电池107将电能供送给加热器119,以加热毛细管芯117的被加热器包围的端部。毛细管芯117的该被包围的端上的液体通过加热器119蒸发,形成过饱和蒸汽。同时,通过毛细管作用沿毛细管芯117移动的其他液体替代正在蒸发的液体。(该过程有时候也称之为“泵吸作用”)。所形成的过饱和蒸汽与从进气口123吸入的气流混合并夹带在该气流中。在烟雾形成腔127中,蒸汽冷凝,形成可吸入性烟雾,然后该可吸入性烟雾朝排气口125传送,进入使用者嘴中。
在图1所示的实施例中,电控线路109和烟检测系统111优选可程序控制。电控线路109和烟检测系统111可用于控制烟雾生成系统的运行。从而可有助于控制烟雾中的颗粒尺寸。
图1示出了根据本发明的电动烟雾生成系统的一个实例。但是,也可采用许多其他实例。另外,请注意,图1本质上是示意性的。具体而言,图中所示的部件并没有单独按比例绘制,或这些部件相互之间没有按比例绘制。烟雾生成系统需要包括或容纳烟雾形成基质。烟雾生成系统需要某种烟雾生成元件,如加热器或振动式换能器,其用于由烟雾形成基质产生烟雾。最终,烟雾生成系统需要控制电路来停止该系统。下面将参照图2对此进行描述。例如,该系统不必是生烟系统。不必设置烟检测系统。相反,该系统可通过手动致动来运行,例如,使用者抽烟时可操作开关。例如,可改变壳体的整体形状和尺寸。另外,该系统可以不包括毛细管芯。
但是,在某优选实施例中,该系统包括毛细管芯,用于将液体基质从储液部分传送到至少一个加热元件中。毛细管芯可由各种多孔材料或毛细材料制成,优选具有公知的、预定的毛细管作用。例如,这些材料包括纤维或烧结粉末形式的陶瓷基或石墨基材料。可使用多孔结构不同的芯来适应不同的液体物理属性,如密度、粘度、表面张力和蒸汽压力。芯必须合适,这样才能将所需量的液体传送给加热器。优选地,加热器包括至少一根绕毛细管芯伸展的加热丝或金属丝。
本发明的烟雾生成系统包括控制电路,可操作控制电路来使筒113停止运行。由于某些原因可使筒113停止运行。在一优选实施例中,控制电路被配置为检测储液部分中的烟雾形成基质的量。当检测出储液部分是空的或几乎是空的,控制电路109就使筒113停止运行。主要原因是,如果储液部分几乎是空的,就没有充足量的烟雾形成基质被供送给加热器。这意味着,所形成的、可使使用者吸入的烟雾不具备所需的属性(如,烟雾颗粒尺寸)。从而,使用者的抽烟感觉就不佳。另外,有利地,可设置一种机构,能使使用者知道储液部分是空的或接近是空的。然后,使用者就可准备置换储液部分。使空筒停止运行对使用者来说也是安全的。如果筒中被再填充低劣、可能有害的物质,就会存在危害。但是,如果以固定方式使筒停止运行,筒就不能被再填充和再使用。
图2示出了停止系统的一个实施例,可在参照图1所述的系统中使用该停止系统。图2中的停止系统具有两个部分。一部分容装在可消耗筒113中,另一部分放置在控制电路109中。电保险丝201位于可消耗部分中。三个接触器221的连接口用于连接装置101的可消耗储存部分113和主体部分。可消耗部分包含加热元件119。供送给加热元件119的电能是已调制信号的形式,该电能通过晶体管T1受微控制器203上的数字输出端205控制。电池正极207连接到加热元件和电保险丝201的另一引线上。
在图2所示的实施例中,通过检测加热元件119的温度来判断筒113是否几乎为空的。如果筒几乎为空的,就没有充足量的液态烟雾形成基质通过毛细管芯被输送到加热器中。这样,用来蒸发基质所需的能量就减小,从而加热器的温度升高。因而,加热器的温度可使控制电路判断出储液部分中的液态烟雾形成基质量是否已经减少至预定极限值。一旦达到临界温度值,就会使可消耗部分停止运行,以免出现类似于再填充筒这类操作而违背消费者意愿。停止操作可提示消费者:需要置换可消耗部分。使可消耗部分停止运行也可防止由于过量热而产生有害成分。
基于经过电阻209的电流的计算值,可测量加热元件的温度。通过输入端213的信号并根据电池电压来进行测定,该电池电压通过微控制器上的两个模拟输入部被转换成数字值。当加热元件的温度增加时,其电阻也增加。加热元件的电阻和温度之间的关系可编成程序或储存在微控制器中。当微控制器检测出已经达到临界温度值,微控制器就致动连接到晶体管T2上的数字输出端211,从而烧断电保险丝201。在使用者每次进行抽吸该装置的操作之后,微控制器203通过可消耗部分启动线215核查保险丝201的有效性,如果保险丝断开,那么该装置不将运行。当可消耗部分被新的可消耗部分替换时,该系统通过完好的保险丝返回到正常操作模式下。
很显然,使用保险丝或其他可切换或可断开的电元件的情况下,可以采用使筒停止运行的其他装置或其他电路布置。例如,专用的温度传感器可连接到微控制器上,该传感器被定位成可检测加热元件的温度。
控制电路可被配置为:当控制电路已经测定出储液部分中的液体量已经减少至第一极限值时,告知使用者;当控制电路已经测定出储液部分中的液体量已经减少至第二极限值时,使筒停止运行。例如,如果烟雾生成系统包括用户显示屏,可在用户显示屏上显示出:储液部分是空的或几乎是空的;显示屏上还可提供停止操作之前剩余烟的估算量。可供选择地,或另外,可采用可听声来提示用户:储液部分是空的或几乎是空的。当然可采用其他替换方法来提示用户:储液部分是空的或几乎是空的。提示用户的优点在于:用户然后能准备置换储液部分。
本发明提供了一种系统和方法,用于使可消耗筒在烟雾生成系统中不运行。这样,不仅能使用户体验良好的抽烟感觉、使用方便,而且安全。尽管已经描述了一个具体实施例,但是,具有许多方法使可消耗筒停止运行、具有许多条件可用于致动该停止装置,这些方法和条件均落入本发明的范围内。
Claims (13)
1.一种烟雾生成系统,包括:
储存部分,该储存部分用于储存烟雾形成基质;
烟雾生成元件,该烟雾生成元件用于由烟雾形成基质产生烟雾;
控制电路,该控制电路与储存部分或烟雾生成元件通讯;以及
停止装置,该停止装置处于所述储存部分中,且响应于控制电路的停止信号使所述储存部分在烟雾生成系统中不运行;
其中,该控制电路被配置为,测定或估测出储存部分中的烟雾形成基质的量何时低于极限值;并且,当储存部分中的烟雾形成基质的量被测定或估测出低于该极限值时,发出停止信号,以及
其中,该烟雾生成系统是电动生烟系统。
2.根据权利要求1的烟雾生成系统,还包括主体,其中所述储存部分是被配置为连接到所述主体上的可消耗筒。
3.根据权利要求2的烟雾生成系统,其中,所述控制电路设置在烟雾生成系统的所述主体中。
4.根据权利要求1、2或3的烟雾生成系统,其中,停止装置是被配置为通过停止信号而被转换或破坏的部件。
