背景技术
在应用铸件或夹板之前,传统上使用棉质弹力织物及绷带以保护及缓冲皮肤和骨隆起部。常规上用于这些类型的医疗产品中的材料既包括天然材料也包括合成材料。尽管例如棉布的天然材料通常提供比合成材料更大的舒适感,但是天然材料更易于吸收水分而且一旦变湿就很难变干。因此,在日常活动期间,比如淋浴时,病人必须格外小心,以保持材料干燥。相反地,尽管合成材料更能防止水分吸收,但是对病人来说合成材料通常比较不舒适,且因此通常不把合成材料用作铸造填充物。
因此,可能需要提供一种用作铸造填充物或其它应用的医疗绷带产品,其既包括由天然材料提供的舒适感也包括合成材料的防水特性。
发明内容
为了克服上述现有技术医疗绷带产品的缺点,一方面,本文提供了由多条细线构成的医疗绷带产品,所述细线由多条精细、大体呈平行布置的单丝组成以提供柔软的质地并防止水分吸收。
另一方面,提供了形成或编织成圆形管的防水透气织物,所述织物可舒适地套在人体的受伤肢体或四肢上。
另一方面,所述织物经编织以提供平面或三维的几何形状。
另一方面,医疗绷带产品的构造使得织物极为稀疏,允许下层皮肤在穿戴期间有效地呼吸。
另一方面,织物数量约为342个开孔/in2(53个开孔/cm2)(以松弛的形式)。

现参考图1到7,其展示由多束精细的单丝细线22构成的编织织物20的放大图像。织物的每一条纱线都包括多条精细单丝,其经大体上平行地布置成束,以便提供柔软的质地以及不会过度抽丝或磨损的结构。多条单丝纱线的使用显著增加了织物的表面积且减少了表面张力,此允许液体及水蒸气快速通过织物且允许由其形成的绷带和套管在暴露于湿气之后非常迅速地变干。这是超越使用相对较大纱线的惯常做法的不同寻常且显著的优点。
在常规情形中,在本发明中所使用的类型的单丝将可能是硬的且不具柔性,且因此对皮肤可能是不舒适的。此问题在本发明中通过使用分裂成精细单丝的多条细线的单一细线而得以克服。在示范性实施例中,相当大束的大致平行的丝数量介于约10与约20条单丝之间以提供织物的所需要的柔性和“柔软度”。
合成单丝的一个合适实例包括(但不限于)尼龙或尼龙66单丝。可在成束群组中提供其它的合成纱线,比如聚丙烯,以达到相同或类似的结果。织物的多孔性经结构化以迅速变干并允许皮肤呼吸,且在一个特定实施例中,织物结构具有约20g/m2的每单位面积质量,而且优选地可在20g/m2到120g/m2之间变化。织物的“稀疏性”允许皮肤在穿戴期间有效地呼吸,且在一个特定实施例中,织物结构导致约342个开孔/in2(53个开孔/cm2)(以松弛的形式)。
织物可在圆形编织机(又被称作“纬纱编织机”)上编织,以提供待放置在肢体上的套管几何形状。织物也可在经纱编织机上以可包扎肢体的平面或三维几何形状织物的形式进行编织。编织构造可在单圆盘筒针织机或双针床针织机上生产。
使用精细单丝的多条细线避免了对用于防水的化学表面精整的需要,因此消除了皮肤过敏问题。使用精细单丝的多条细线也避免了对将弹性细线并入织物以改进舒适度的需要,因为弹性倾向是通过编织结构及精细单丝的使用而固有地创建,其允许织物符合下面的人体。
参考图8,织物可被编织成无缝管状弹力织物24或者“套管”,其具有任何所需要的长度。参考图9,管状弹力织物24被展示为应用于病人的前臂。举例来说,在铸造用途中及在绷带支撑缠绕中,尤其是针对受伤的人附肢(比如腿和手臂)且甚至是指(趾)部(比如手指和脚趾),此一套管是有用的。参考图10,织物可替代地编织成平面几何形状26,以用作包围肢体的包扎物,或者用于被缝合进管中。
在一个示范性构造中,弹力织物被生产为具有3英寸的直径,然而不同的直径是可行的。在直径为3英寸的构造中,将10折22分特尼龙66单丝组合以产生220分特的纱线。因此使用具有900mm的圆盘直径及9横列/cm2的136针数圆形编织布置生产1×1罗纹的编织结构。接着通过在编织过程之后在40lbs蒸汽压力下以95C进行退火持续4分钟而使产品定型。退火过程使编织物稳定。举例来说,生产出直径为3英寸的25米长的织物卷。
在另一实例中,根据本发明的另一实施例,具有介于10与20条丝之间的纱线被用来制作圆形编织套管。具有22分特的套管也是可能的。在本发明的另一实施例中,由10条小纱线形成的220分特的纱线的表面区域被认为具有较大的表面积及表面张力,以致在不需要加工的情况下水侵扰得以被机械地阻止。据信,在低于26横列每英寸及20针每英寸的情况下,产品会不合需要地抽丝或磨损。

Claims (3)

1.一种用于定位在待治疗的附肢上的防水物品,其包括由未经涂覆的合成纱线构成的编织体,其中所述未经涂覆的合成纱线中的每一者为成束群组的平行单丝,其包括10条到20条之间平行的精细单丝,且其中所述防水物品未经防水化学表面精整且无弹性细线,所述编织体具有20g/m2至120g/m2之间的每单位面积质量且能够被编织成无缝管状套管。
2.根据权利要求1所述的防水物品,其中所述编织体每平方英寸以松弛的方式包括342个开孔。
3.根据权利要求1所述的防水物品,其中所述精细单丝由尼龙66构成。
