Abstract

一种用于机动车的电源装置,包括一充电电源,例如交流发电机或电池,一组可由充电电源充电的电容器,用来把储存的电能供给一个电气负载,例如发动机起动器,一个顺序充电控制电路装置,用来由所述充电电源给电容器一个接一个地顺序充电。

Description

本发明涉及一种电源装置,它具有一个充电电源,如交流发电机或电池,和一组供电能给一电气负载的电容器、电容器由充电电源来充电。
铅蓄电池被安装在机动车上作为发动机起动器和其它电气负载例如辅助装置的电源。
当发动机要起动时,储存在铅蓄电池上的电能给起动器电机供电,起动器电机的小齿轮与安装于发动机曲轴上的环齿轮啮合并转动,使曲轴转动,借以起动发动机。
尽管在发动机起动时电池供给起动器电机的电流的时间短,但该电流非常大,例如100安或更高。安装于机动车上的电池的容量主要视其起动发动机的能力而定。起动发动机消耗的大的电能当电池借助安装于机动车上的,并由发动机驱动的交流发电机发出的电能充电时被补偿,此时机动车是运行的。
安装于机动车上的铅蓄电池称为二次电池,它们通过电极和电解液间的化学反应进行充放电。这种电池在短期内可以放出大的电流。电池在一个长的时间里通过一逐渐的化学反应,用10安培或更小的电流充电。因此,如果用更大的电流充电,电池会过热,电极可能变形并被破坏。
主要用于短距离联络的机动车以及用作交货的机动车反复停止并频繁起动。因为这些机动车要求发动机频繁起动并在一短时间内连续运行,安装在这些机动车上的电池不能充足地充电以补偿发动机起动时的电能消耗。因而,电池往往被用尽,从而不能起动发动机。
为解决上述问题,申请人提出了一种机动车电源装置,该电源装置具有大容量的电容器,它由安装在机动车上的电池充电并放出储存的电能以起动发动机起动器,从而起动发动机(见日本专利申请号63(1988)-329,846,美国专利申请系列454,267和EPC专利申请号89313559.0)。
用所提出的机动车电源装置,发动机起动器被储存在大容量器内的电能激励,大容量电容器可以供给瞬时电流。因此,即使电池电压有些降低,发动机也可以用储存在电容器中的电能起动。为了当电容器储存的电能释放之后给电容器充电,需要一个大的起始电流,因而交流发电机,电池和大容量电容器必须用能承受大电流的粗导线连接。
附图3表示了一种电路方案,在该图里采用了一组(例如3个)电容器C1,C2,C3以提供大的电容。图中SC和SD分别为充电开关和放电开关。电容器被交流发电机G充电,起动器作负载L与电容器相连,相互并联的电容器与发电机之间彼此用粗导线E连接着。在电容器充电过程的初其,一大电流通过导线流入电容器。因为大电流使电机过载,往往缩短了发电机的寿命。
本发明的目的在于提供一种具有充电电源和一组供给负载电能的电容器的电源装置,该组电容器由充电电源充电,该电源装置包括减少电容器充电所需的冲击电流的装置,因而电容器和充电电源不需用粗导线连接。
本发明的另一个目的在于提供一种电源装置,该电源装置不会引起给多个电容器充电的充电电源的过载,例如象交流发电机这样的充电电源装置。
按照本发明,提供了一种电源装置,它包括充电电源,一组可用所述充电电源充电的电容器,该电容器用来把储存的能量供给一负载,还包括用来使电容器由充电电源顺序充电的顺序充电装置。
上述的及其它的本发明的目的,特点和优点从下面的描述并结合以说明性的例子的方式给出的本发明的最佳实施例的附图会更加明显。
图1是按照本发明的一个实施例的电源装置的电路图;
图2是表明充电电容器所需的电流与充电时间之间的关系图;
图3是使用多个电容器互相并联的一种一般电源装置的电路图。
图1是根据本发明的一个实施例,表明了一种用于机动车的电源装置,该电源装置具有多个(图中为三个)互相并联的大容量电容器C1,C2,C3,其中每个包括一双层电容器。
被发动机驱动的交流发电机G包括一整流电路,在其输出端产生直流电流,交流发电机G作为给电容器C1,C2,C3以及电池充电的电源,开关SC作为电容器C1,C2,C3充电开关。开关SD用来给一负载L,例如机动车上的发动机起动器提供储存在电容器C1,C2,C3中的电能,借以起动机动车上发动机。
继电器电路R1具有常开触点RSⅠ,RSⅡ,触点RSⅡ被连接到电容器C1的正端。继电器电路R2具有连接到电容器C2正端的常开触点RS2。继电器电路R3具有连接到C3正端的常开触点RS3。继电器电R1,R2,R3被如此连接,使得当这些继电器电路R1,R2,R3被供电时,包括其相应电容器C1,C2,C3的电路被接通。
单向导电元件二极管D1至D5与电容器C1,C2,C3相连。更具体地说,当电容器C1,C2,C3充电时,二极管D1,D2分别与电容器C1,C2串联。当电容器C1,C2,C3放电时,二极管D3,D4,D5分别与电容器C1,C2,C3串联。
当施加的反向电压低于一预定值时(击穿电压),齐纳二极管ZD1,ZD2只允许通过小电流,而当反向电压达到预定值时,允许通过瞬时反向电流,齐纳二极管ZD1有一连接于远离电容器C1的触点RSⅡ端上的阴极,有一连接于继电器电路R2的线圈上的阳极。当电容器C1充电时,触点RSⅡ闭合。在电容器C1充电过程的后期,电容器C1两端的电压上升到齐纳二极管ZD1的击穿电压,因而来自交流发电机G和电池B的电流经过二极管D1和齐纳二极管ZD1流入继电器电路R2的线圈。现在继电器电路R2的触点RS2闭合,从而用经过二极管D2提供的电流开始向电容器C2充电。
齐纳二极管ZD2有一连接于远离电容器C2的触点RS2端上的阴极和连接于继电器电路R3的线圈上的阳极。和齐纳二极管ZD1的情况一样,齐纳二极管ZD2检测电容器C2充电过程的后期并给继电器电路R3供电以使电容器C3充电。
这种结构的电源装置的工作描述如下:
为了使电容器C1,C2,C3充电,开关SC闭合。继电器电路R1的线圈通电,从而使其触点RSⅠ、RSⅡ闭合。交流发电机G和电池B的电压通过二极管D1和触点RSⅡ加于电容器C1,电容器C1开始充电。
经过一个时间间隔后,该时间间隔的长短取决于交流发电机G及电池B的内电阻以及充电电流流经的电路的电阻,电容器C1的充电过程进入后期,当电容器C1两端的电压达到齐纳二极管ZD1的击穿电压时,继电器电路R2由流经二极管D1和齐纳二极管ZD1的电流通电。继电器电路R2的触点RS2闭合,借以开始向电容器C2充电。
经过某一时间间隔后,电容器C2的充电过程也进入其后期,一个流经齐纳二极管ZD2的瞬时反向电流使继电器电路R3得电,借以向电容器C3充电。在这期间内,交流发电机G和电池B只供给一个电容器充电的电流依次供给电容器C1,C2,C3,用这种方式,完成电容器C1,C2,C3的充电。
图2是表明电容器C1,C2,C3的充电电流与充电时间之间的关系。实线a1、a2、a3分别表示根据本发明的电源装置中来自交流发电机G和电池B的对电容器C1,C2,C3充电电流,虚线a4表示一般电源装置中给所述三只并联电容器充电所需的充电电流。从图2可知本发明的电源装置中的供给电容器充电的电流的峰值约为一般电源装置中流入电容器的充电电流峰值的1/3。
当开关SD闭合时,储存在电容器C1,C2和C3中的电能通过各自的二极管D3,D4,D5同时 供给负载L。因此,一个冲击电流馈入发动机起动器,例如,给发动机起动器送电,因而起动发动机。
发动机起动之后,开关SD被打开,从而使电容器C1,C2,C3停止放电,放过电的电容器C1,C2,C3可按上述方式再充电。
根据本发明,如前所述,大容量电容器C1,C2,C3不再同时由交流发电机G或电池充电,而是一个接一个地,借助作为顺序充电装置的齐纳二极管ZD1、ZD2与继电器电路R1,R2,R3被顺序充电。所需的为电容器C1,C2,C3充电的电流峰值大大低于一般电源装置中的电容器的充电电流峰值。因此,充电电源和电容器可用电流容量低得多的导线连接。因为所用导线的横截面积小,电气配线就可容易地进行。在充电初期充电电流具有低的峰值,就能防止充电电源或发电机过载,延长交流发电机的寿命。
虽然已示出并描述了一最佳实施例,但是在不脱离所提出的权利要求的范围可以做出许多变化和改型,是应当理解的。

Claims (3)

1、一种电源装置,包括:
一个充电电源,与一组电容器并联连接,用以对该组电容器进行充电;
一组与所述充电电源并联连接的电容器,该组电容器由所述充电电源充电,用来给负载提供储存的电能;
其特征在于,该电源装置还包括:
顺序充电装置,该装置用所述的充电电源顺序地给电容器充电;
所述的顺序充电装置包括检测装置,它用来检测每只电容器的充电量,以及控制装置,它响应于一个检测装置所检测到的电容器所被充电的一预定充电量,以便把所述电容器中的另一个电容器连接到所述的充电电源上;
所述的检测装置包括一个齐纳二极管,用来检测所述电容器中每个电容器的电压,
所述控制装置包括一个具有与所述齐纳二极管的阳极相连的线圈的继电器电路;
所述电容器与所述电气负载并联连接。
2、根据权利要求1所述的电源装置,其特征在于所述的充电电源包括一个交流发电机。
3、根据权利要求1所述的电源装置,其特征在于所述充电电源包括一个电池。
