Abstract

Description
技术领域
本发明涉及穿透地下岩层的油井增产措施。更具体地,本发明涉及利用片状材料作为水力压裂中的支撑剂。更具体地,本发明涉及在导流能力(conductivity)极低的裂缝中放置诸如云母的材料作为支撑剂。
背景技术
水力压裂仍然是油藏增产措施的主要方法,可带来显著提高的油气产量。目前很多的努力都集中于油井处理的设计,尤其是压裂和支撑压裂,以实现并保持高的裂缝导流能力。目前被激活的油藏和岩层种类如此之多,为裂缝激活的特殊方法提供了许多空间。虽然现在可获取许多流体和支撑剂,但涉及更新型材料的多个争论限制了其在许多非传统油藏中的应用。
高强度支撑剂的传统方法是产生颗粒,并且使用相对较均匀的粒度分布,这些颗粒通常有接近于球形的形状。一般的推测是该颗粒材料会无规地装填在裂缝中。球形在这类无规装填的各向异性负荷下相对较强,窄的单分散颗粒分布可带来高的导流能力。然而,有些情况下优选为不要使用球形支撑剂和砂粒,因为抗压碎性不足和/或支撑剂会嵌入到岩层中。这两种因素都会降低支撑剂充填物的导流能力,并且两者都可能是球形造成的。而且,高强度支撑剂通常具有高的比重,这会明显降低支撑剂的可输送性。为了合理放置重的支撑剂,要求使用高粘稠性流体,这会影响增产措施的经济性。
支撑剂如果能同时具有高抗压碎性、低嵌入性、和高可输送性的特征,则应该是有利的。
发明内容

尽管以下讨论可以是针对支撑压裂而言的,但是本发明的片状颗粒及方法也可用于砾石充填、酸化压裂、减阻水压裂处理、以及使用传统上称为砾石、砂粒、和支撑剂的材料的其它油田处理方法。本发明可以针对垂直井的处理进行说明,但是其同样可应用于任何方向的井。本发明可以主要针对页岩中的使用进行说明,但是也可以用于任何岩层材料,例如碳酸盐、砂岩和煤。本发明可以用于任何方向的裂缝。本发明可以针对碳氢化合物的生产井进行说明,但是应当理解,本发明也可用于生产其它的流体,例如水或二氧化碳,或例如用于注入井或储存井。本发明可以使用水流体作为支撑剂的携带流体进行说明,但任何流体均可用作支撑剂携带流体,例如减阻水,用合成或天然聚合物稠化过的水流体,用非聚合物增稠剂稠化过的水流体,非聚合增稠剂如粘弹性表面活性剂、凝胶化的油、和发泡或增能(energized)使用的任何上述材料。
我们发现,在某些增产措施处理方法中,片状材料可以用作支撑剂全部或支撑剂的重要部分。片状支撑剂的形状与传统的球体形状相比具有两个主要优点,以及多个其它优点,特别是对于非常细的裂缝如支化裂缝中的应用而言。片状支撑剂显示出(a)由于支撑剂颗粒中更好的应力分布而导致的支撑剂抗压碎性的提高,和(b)由于支撑剂颗粒与岩层之间更大的接触表面积而导致的向岩层裂缝面的支撑剂嵌入的减少。其它益处包括:(c)由于更低的支撑剂沉降速度而导致的更好的支撑剂可输送性,(d)向支化和细的裂缝网络中更深的渗透,(e)增强的支撑剂回流控制,以及(f)减少裂缝中的非达西流(如降低的β因子所表明的)。而且,不但片状颗粒比近似球形颗粒如砂粒具有更低的沉降速度,而且片状颗粒和球体的混合物也预期比单独的球体具有更低的沉降速度。

片状支撑剂特别可适用于复杂的裂缝网络,例如页岩气藏中,其中导流能力指标可能仅为约0.01md-ft(约0.003md-m)。它们也特别适合用作渗透率低的软岩层中的支撑剂材料。
片状材料以前已在油田流体中使用过,但是如果用作支撑剂,它们会降解或变形(有延伸性、塑性、弹性、可压缩性),和/或会被用于形成部分单层,和/或纵横比低于约5(例如,参见美国专利申请公开第20070193745号,和US 6,059,034、6,330,916和7,228,904)。片状材料也已被用来增强合成支撑剂,举例来说,比如由塑料或其它材料制造的复合材料(参见美国专利申请公开20070209795号和US 6,632,527、7,228,904、7,281,580和7,237,609)。片状材料已经被添加到支撑剂浆液中以促进浆液的输送和/或抑制支撑剂回流(例如参见US 5,782,300和6,830,105)。更普遍地,它们已经被用作增重剂、封堵材料、堵漏材料和降滤失剂(例如参见美国专利申请公开第20060065398号,和US5,929,002、7,255,169和7,004,255)。
本发明的改进和优点是由于支撑剂颗粒形状。片状颗粒装填物(pack)作为层状结构与球形颗粒的装填物相比,其中颗粒互相之间具有明显更大的接触面积。在岩层封闭应力下,层状的装填物可在颗粒中提供更好的应力分布;这可导致支撑剂颗粒抗压碎性的提高。提高支撑剂颗粒与裂缝壁的接触面积可减少颗粒嵌入到岩层中。因此,本质上,优选的形状是当颗粒被约束在裂缝的两壁之间时能减少集中载荷的那种。片状颗粒已经表明其在流体中比球形颗粒具有明显更低的沉降速度,就支撑剂可输送性而言这是有利的。进一步,小的片状颗粒的厚度(例如几十微米)可允许其深度穿透到微裂缝网络中;它们可以到达球形支撑剂颗粒难以到达的位置。由现有技术可知,具有片状颗粒的薄片材料可以降低或消除支撑剂回流,这可提供另外的优点。此外,在多层装填物中沿着扁片流动时,比在球形颗粒装填物中流动可产生较少的惯性损耗。因此,可减少片状支撑剂充填物中的湍流(非达西流),并可降低β因子。
粉状云母矿物例如白云母代表片状支撑剂的一个特别合适的实例。云母矿物表现出合理的综合性物理和化学性能,例如中等比重、低堆密度、中等硬度、中等水湿润性、和高化学稳定性及热稳定性。
在本发明的优选实施方案中,支撑剂的组成为或包括片状或板状的一定尺寸的天然或合成的层状矿物或含有矿物的复合材料。优选的矿物为云母,最好优选白云母。后者的特征为比重2.8gcm-3,堆密度低于约0.5gcm-3,典型的薄片或片厚度约20微米,硬度约2.5-3.0(莫氏硬度)或约100(绍氏D试验),水接触角约23°。云母及类似矿物的一个方面是其晶体结构能够满足一个小片的一层可以全部由单个晶体组成。与多晶支撑剂材料相比,这可赋予这类材料高的拉伸强度。白云母(Muscovite Mica)也称为“白云母”或“钾云母”。白云母能经受高达约800℃的温度,拥有高的化学稳定性,并且其在本发明中的使用条件下不受成岩作用的影响。可以以层状(片状)形式存在的其它岩石和矿物的非限制性清单包括片岩,页岩(泥岩),页硅酸盐(片状硅酸盐),其它云母,例如铬云母、水-白云母、娟云母、氟云母、钠云母(“钠云母”)、海绿石、金云母(“镁云母”)、黑云母(“镁铁云母”)、铁锂云母(或zinwaldite)(“铁锂云母”)、红云母(“锂云母”)、铁黑云母(“铁云母”)、绿脆云母和珍珠云母,某些形式的某些粘土矿物,例如高岭石、蒙脱石、叶蜡石、多硅白云石、蒙脱土、皂石、蛭石、锂蒙脱石、海泡石、坡缕石(绿坡缕石)、合成锂皂石和伊利石,硅酸钠水合物,例如水硅钠石(kanemite)、古水硅钠石、雷水硅钠石、马水硅钠石、麦羟硅钠石、水羟硅钠石和octosilicate,蛇纹石矿物,例如叶蛇纹石、纤蛇纹石、板蛇纹石和纤蛇纹石,绿泥石,滑石,链硅酸盐,似辉石矿物,例如硅灰石、和蔷薇辉石,闪石矿物,例如直闪石、透闪石、阳起石、铁闪石、铁直闪石、角闪石、和透辉石,氧化硅,燧石(黑硅石),均密石英岩,蓝晶石,沸石(铝硅酸盐),水滑石,水硅铁石-水滑石类矿物(碳酸盐),钼铅矿(硫酸盐),沥青(例如沥青中间相),和石墨。一些合适的材料为矿物;一些只不过是岩石。重要的因素是,它们的特征为层状、鳞状、扁平状、片状、板状、片岩状、分层状、叶片状、板片状、“书页形”的形式,具有可分裂性等。我们将使用“片状”这一术语来指代该形式。这些材料中的一些是脆性的;一些是韧性的。具有钙置换代替钠或钾的云母是脆性的;实例为绿脆云母和珍珠云母。
其它合适的材料包括层状二氢氧化物,磷酸和膦酸的锆(IV)盐,例如α-Zr(HPO4)2·H2O和α-Zr(O3PR)2·nH2O;层状锰氧化物,例如六方水锰矿和羟锰矿,水钠锰矿和似水锰矿类型的材料,柱状分层的锰基材料,锰基中孔性材料,和锰基多孔混合氧化物;层状金属硫族元素化物,例如金属二硫族元素化物MX2(其中M=Sn,Cr,Hf,Ta,Ti,Zr,Nb,Mo,W或V;且X=S,Se或Te),金属三硫族元素化物MX3(其中M=Nb或Zr;X=S,Se或Te),金属磷三硫族元素化物MPX3(其中M=Cd,Fe,Mg,Ca,Mn,Ni,V,Sn,Pb或Zn;X=S或Se),不匹配的层状化合物(RX)m(MX2)n(其中R=稀土金属、Pb或Sn;M=Ta,Nb,V,Ti或Cr;X=S或Se),和三元过渡金属硫化物AMX2(其中A=Li,Na,K,Rb或Cs;M=Cr,Ti,V,Zr,Nb或Ta;X=S或Se),以及其它的层状化合物,例如h-BN、PbI2和BiI3。
片状支撑剂材料,例如天然或合成矿物或岩石,可以进行化学或物理表面处理以改进其性能,例如润湿性、颗粒与颗粒间摩擦力或粘合力等。例如,片状支撑剂可以用表面活性化学品(如,有机硅烷)处理,使颗粒变为油湿润性的。片状支撑剂,例如天然或合成的层状矿物或岩石可用本领域中已知各种树脂的一种或多种涂覆。片状材料,例如云母,可以首先混合到复合纸、片或板中,例如通过使用可然后固化或部分固化的树脂。复合片然后可以切碎并过筛,由此产生尺寸和大小适合水力压裂应用的云母、或其它颗粒。该方法使得能够制备具有高控制度的表面涂层的材料。片状材料如云母的片可以在颗粒的每个面上用不相似的涂层处理。例如,一面可以用树脂处理,而另一面可以用水湿润或油润湿材料的两者之一处理,或者可以完全不处理。
片状或者板片支撑剂可以任选作为液体中的悬浮体输送到处理位置。液体可以含有增稠剂,例如聚合物、粘弹性的表面活性剂、合成锂皂石等,这有助于最大程度减少支撑剂沉降,并且有助于使悬浮体保持为可倾倒(可泵送)的形式。
本发明的片状支撑剂及方法可以以与传统支撑剂相同的浓度在相同的流体中应用于水力压裂。然而,它们可以以比传统支撑剂更低的浓度使用,特别是在减阻水应用中。因此,在表面上测得的支撑剂浓度可以有显著差异,例如从流体的约0.0012kg/L(0.01磅/加仑(也称为“磅加入的支撑剂”或者ppa))到2.4kg/L(20ppa),其依赖于特定的油藏参数,例如岩层渗透率、泄漏到岩层中的流体等。本发明的片状支撑剂优选以极低的浓度、以股流(slug)形式应用,以支撑页岩中的侧裂缝。支撑剂浓度可以以与传统处理方法大致相同的方式,随单个水力压裂作业的进展而变化。浓度可以连续变化,或者也可以以离散的时间或体积间隔变化,这通常称为阶段。在传统的水力压裂作业开始阶段,例如,支撑剂浓度可以低至0.06kg/L(0.5ppa),然后斜率上升,例如在处理结束时直至2.4kg/L(20ppa)。大多数传统的作业会要求在处理过程中有窄的支撑剂浓度跨度,例如从0.24kg/L(2ppa)到1.8kg/L(15ppa)。
在传统处理方法中时,片状支撑剂常常以低于传统支撑剂浓度的浓度使用,并且任选在这样的浓度下加入,在该浓度下,支撑剂在裂缝内的表面积覆盖率低于材料的单层。尽管认为这类处理方法是减阻水处理,然而,减阻水这一术语当然不限于部分单层的设计。片状支撑剂在这类作业中的浓度典型地会类似于或低于传统支撑剂在传统减阻水作业中的浓度(约0.06kg/L(约0.5ppa))。
本发明的片状支撑剂及方法可以以与传统支撑剂的混合物形式使用,例如与砂粒和瓷珠粒。片状支撑剂在这类混合物中的浓度为从约20重量%的片状支撑剂开始及更高(高达100%)。
片状支撑剂也可以以股流注入,例如片状支撑剂阶段与传统支撑剂阶段交替,和/或与不带有支撑剂的阶段交替,和/或与暂堵阶段交替。这些阶段的某些可以任选含有片状支撑剂与传统支撑剂的混合物;每个阶段的浓度可以在阶段与阶段间变化。
载流流体可以是用于浆液输送固体的任何载流流体。最普遍在油田处理中,这类载流流体可以是用天然或合成聚合物、或用诸如粘弹性表面活性剂的非聚合增稠剂稠化过的水流体;在减阻水处理中,载流流体可以是含减摩剂的水流体。也可以使用其它的流体,例如气体、液化的气体、泡沫、增能流体、和凝胶化的油。由于要求片状材料在流体中慢速沉降,所以粘度(因此增稠剂浓度)可以低于传统支撑剂所要求的。
本发明的片状支撑剂一个重要方面是,它可以输送到传统的合成支撑剂和砂粒不能到达的裂缝。许多岩层例如页岩中的裂缝,可能不是通常设想的简单的两个长的平面的直“翼”。事实上,可能有非常复杂的裂缝路径、多重裂缝和支化裂缝;这可以存在于井眼附近、远场,或两者都有。一种重要的几何结构是网络裂缝,这可能起因于生长的裂缝遇到天然裂缝或缺陷,或者遇到不平行于、可能事实上垂直于生长裂缝的薄弱面。在该分岔点(branch point)会开始新的裂缝。如果将初始裂缝称为原生裂缝,那么由原生裂缝生长开的裂缝可以称为次生裂缝。如果,正如通常所见的,次生裂缝在比原生裂缝更高的应力下打开,那么次生裂缝就可能比原生裂缝窄。生长的次生裂缝可能不稳定,因为它是在更高的应力下打开的。因此,在持续泵送时,裂缝可能遇到再次改变方向的情况或机会,并且可能开始在较低的封闭应力或最低的封闭应力下再次打开的三级裂缝;三级裂缝可能比次生裂缝宽些。增长的裂缝可能在分岔点终止,或者可能继续。在两者任何一种的情况下,一些或者全部流动路径会转弯,有时会进入更窄的裂缝。这类复杂裂缝网络的实例在图6中显示,并将会进一步在实施例4中论述。
因此,分岔点是阻塞点,支撑剂更可能在此断桥,由此防止支撑剂更深地输送到复杂的裂缝网络中。本发明的片状支撑剂的特别价值是,所述片可以非常容易地输送,并且可以在流中排列起来,这样它们可以方便地转弯,并深入输送到复杂的裂缝网络、如支化的裂缝网络中,即使当流速变低、时间变长、流径变得曲折时。这在井眼附近、远场或者两种情形下可能都有价值。在许多处理中,可能是阻塞点的性质决定了支撑剂浆液的最优特性,例如支撑剂的最佳大小与形状。成功支撑这类支化的复杂体、以及可能偏远的裂缝和/或微裂缝所要求的导流能力可以低至约0.01mD-ft(约0.003mD-m)。
本发明的片状颗粒作为唯一的支撑剂或与传统的支撑剂混合时,特别适合于涉及暂堵剂的压裂方法。特别合适的暂堵剂的实例是纤维。在地下岩层中形成塞子并且用作暂堵剂的可降解和不可降解纤维的非限制性实例例如在US 7,350,572和7,380,600以及美国专利申请公开2008/0000639和2008/0093073号中说明,其通过引用结合在此。可以用于本发明实施方案的流体包括不含支撑剂、片状颗粒或暂堵剂的流体,例如前置液;含本发明片状颗粒的流体;含传统支撑剂的流体;含暂堵剂的流体;含支撑剂、片状颗粒和暂堵剂任何两种的流体;以及含所有三种的流体。这些不同的流体可以以任何次序注入,尽管前置液通常先注入。每种流体可以多次注入。组分的浓度和阶段的尺寸可以变化。典型的非限制性实例是(a)前置液,然后(b)片状颗粒,然后(c)暂堵剂,然后重复步骤(b)和(c)一次或多次,然后(d)传统的支撑剂。在其它的实施方案中,步骤(a)、(b)和(c)可以按顺序重复多次,或者步骤(a)和(b)可以按顺序重复多次。前置液可以含有低浓度的任何固体组分(相对于后续阶段),并且可以略作稠化(即可以是减阻水流体)。典型地,最后阶段含有大于片状颗粒的传统支撑剂,为从裂缝网络到井眼提供高渗透率的流径。通常所有阶段中的流体都要稠化。其目的是产生尽可能大的裂缝网络,使片状颗粒尽可能深入地放置到网络中。对本专业技术人员显而易见,在本说明书中教导内容的前提下,许多作业设计都能够实现该目的,并且所有这些设计均在本发明的范围内。
可以产生支撑的裂缝,其中有裂缝面在任何方向得到支撑剂(支撑的开口)“支撑”的区域,以及其中没有支撑剂的区域。当含支撑剂的载流流体的股流与没有支撑剂的股流交替(既可在时间上也可在不同的孔眼中),形成“房柱状”类型的布置时,就可能出现这一情况。当支撑剂浓度低于在裂缝中形成至少单层支撑剂所要求的浓度时,也可出现这一情况。注入压力释放后,裂缝闭合,取决于压力、几何结构和支撑剂的形状和性质,可能会出现多种现象。支撑剂可能会被压碎(当然,这也可能会在完全装填的裂缝中发生)。如果支撑剂比岩石更硬,则单个的支撑剂颗粒可能会嵌在裂缝面中(嵌入)。片状支撑剂则不太容易嵌入,因为应力集中减到了最低程度,或者针对相同的嵌入程度可以使用较软的片状支撑剂。(然而,如果支撑剂太软,它可能会变形太多,并且使裂缝面互相接近。)在房柱状布置中,柱可能变成嵌在岩石中,称为“穿孔”,或者没有支撑的区域能够相互流动,称为“夹紧”,或者两者都有。任何这些现象都会降低裂缝导流能力。使用片状支撑剂可减少一些这些有害现象的发生或严重程度;选择有正确性能的正确材料也可以帮助减少一些这些现象的发生或严重程度。
白云母是特别合适的片状支撑剂材料,由于其综合性的物理性能和化学性能,但尤其是因为其形状。该形状可提供若干优点。图1(改编自Sherwood,J.D.的J.Phys.A:Math.Gen.30(1997)L839-L843)显示,装填中圆柱形颗粒的孔隙率为纵横比的函数;片式装填的孔隙率可以明显高于球体式装填的孔隙率(然而应注意,这些孔隙率数据没有考虑到封闭应力)。白云母会落在图1中曲线的左侧边缘附近;球型的在中间;圆柱体的在右侧。由于片有更大的拖曳系数和滑动沉降,所以片的沉降速度与同样大小的球体的相比要小得多(参见以下试验部分的数据)。由于装填的孔隙率更大,云母和类似材料在流体浆液中比砂粒和类似的传统支撑剂珠粒具有明显更低的堆密度。结果是,一定重量的片状支撑剂比相同重量的砂粒占据了更大的体积,甚至在完全沉降之后,这样,重量一定的片状支撑剂所支撑裂缝的裂缝高度更大。进一步,认为所述片是放置在平行于裂缝面的长尺寸的微裂缝和垂直于裂缝面的极小尺寸的微裂缝中的。在那样的取向中,单个的支撑剂颗粒和片状支撑剂的支撑剂填充物倾向于较少程度的嵌入,并且这类片的填充物由于叠层中的应力分布,不易产生支撑剂回流。
本发明的片状支撑剂的合适厚度为约1-约500微米。优选厚度为约10-约300微米;最优选的厚度为约20-约200微米。
其它的合适材料包括低密度聚乙烯、酚醛树脂、聚氯乙烯、聚对苯二甲酸乙二酯、鱼鳞、压碎的贝壳或蛋壳、金属、陶瓷和通过酚醛清漆树脂酸催化交联固化的酚醛基酚醛材料。尤其合适的是已经加工硬化的某些金属和交联聚合物,即,其中已经抑制了蠕变和长期形变,使其基本上不变形并且不蠕变;对于聚合物,这些基本上是热固性塑料。
可用的片状支撑剂可以由复合材料制备,例如破碎的(shredded)云母/树脂纸张,和破碎的云母/环氧纸张。这些材料含有至少一种非延展组分,例如云母、燧石、以及其它的片状矿物。商业途径可得到的云母片和纸张由例如硅酮、环氧、虫胶及其它材料制造。它们可以是刚性或柔性的。云母带是商业途径可得到的,其背衬由玻璃纤维、聚酯纤维、聚乙烯、聚丙烯等材料制成。本发明的片状支撑剂可以由任何这些和类似的材料通过已知方法制造,例如切碎、破碎、研磨、切片等。
片状材料可以是在其它方面进行化学或物理改性的。例如,它们可以用协助其在水中分散的施胶剂涂覆,和/或它们可以用有助于其作为干燥疏松材料流动的自由流动剂涂覆。还可以使用本领域中已知的处理高表面积粒状材料的其它处理方法。
本发明的片状支撑剂结合暂堵步骤使用具有优点。尤其合适的暂堵方法是其中形成临时的、可降解的塞状物,例如用可降解的纤维,以激发区域与主裂缝分离。这类塞状物可以放置在例如井眼附近或深入裂缝网络中。当紧密的页岩是目标岩层时,处理方法通常是减阻水。典型的处理方法可以包括以下步骤:减阻水前置液、减阻水加片状支撑剂以支撑裂缝网络,通过暂堵剂阻挡得到支撑的侧通道,并增加网络压力,以便打开新的侧通道,然后最典型是多次重复(前置液,片状支撑剂,暂堵剂),随后是用传统支撑剂的典型的减阻水方案(通常100目或页岩中的砂粒)支撑原生裂缝,并连接所有的次生和/或三级裂缝网络至井眼,尤其是那些已经用片状支撑剂支撑过的。在此,前置液、片状支撑剂和暂堵剂的重复顺序在页岩岩层中产生了通过主裂缝通道水力连接到井眼的明显的裂缝表面区域(如果没有片状支撑剂材料,可能就不能导流)。
从以下实施例可以进一步理解本发明。
白云母样品在实验室中研磨和过筛,在一些试验中,使用20/40、40/70和70/140(大致对应于100目)的粒度范围。也使用从UK、Derby的Minelco Specialties Limited得到的商业白云母样品。它们标明为MD150和MD250;代码中的数值表示以微米为单位的片平均直径。这些云母颗粒的厚度为大约20-25微米。制造商描述该材料为干研磨的、高度剥离的硅酸钾铝白云母片,其熔点为1300℃,比重约2.8,在水中的10%的浆液pH为约9,并且具有柔性、弹性和韧性,并具有高纵横比。MD150是99.9%的小于250微米,75-90%的小于106微米,且30-65%的小于53微米;MD250是99.9%的小于250微米,10-50%的小于125微米,并且0-15%的小于63微米。
实施例1:
图2说明了在6.9、13.8、20.7、27.6和34.5MPa(1000、2000、3000、4000和5000psi)的封闭应力下,研磨白云母在负荷为2.45kg/m2(0.5lb-ft-2)下,在82℃(180℉)的俄亥俄砂岩岩心之间的支撑剂填充层导流能力。该结果使用API方法RP-61,在实验室短期试验中得到。
实施例2:
图3示出了不同粒径的砂粒(浓度为0.06kg/L(0.5lb/gal))和白云母颗粒(浓度为0.036kg/L(0.3lb/gal))在含有含约50%聚丙烯酰胺的1L/kL(1gal/1000gal)的减摩剂的减阻水中的试验沉降速度。图4给出了根据斯托克斯定律计算的相同类型的颗粒的沉降速度,云母用2.80的比重,砂粒用2.65的比重,并且假设流体粘度为10cp。片状颗粒的沉降速度比理论上预测的球形颗粒的沉降速度慢高达二十倍。
实施例3:
在图5显示的歧管系统中在动态条件下研究砂粒和云母的传输特性。该系统包括由外径为6.35-25.4mm(0.25-1in)的Swagelok管制成的有四个出口[1-4]的水平歧管,配备有浆液罐[5]和可提供高达100L/分钟的浆液流速的泵[6](Moyno)。该歧管模拟复杂的裂缝网络,例如页岩中的。侧流回路[7]可以降低浆液流速至10L/分钟,而不会在泵中产生支撑剂沉降。原浆液包括含2.4g/L(20磅/千加仑)瓜尔胶的线性凝胶,或含1L/kL(1gal/1000gal)聚丙烯酰胺减摩剂的减阻水;每种流体都包含0.06kg/L(0.5lb/gal)的支撑剂。浆液样品从出口收集,并分析支撑剂含量。下表中显示的百分值表示输送到相应出口的支撑剂的相对量。回收值表示相对于引入到歧管的支撑剂总量的所输送支撑剂的总量。使用的云母为MD250。对通过不同出口从歧管出来的支撑剂质量进行称重。出口1是悬浮固体最容易到达的;出口2第二容易,然后是出口3;出口4是悬浮固体最难到达的,对复杂裂缝,难以到达的部分最具代表性。表I中显示了典型的结果。在线性凝胶中或减阻水中,几乎没有任何20/40砂粒到达出口4;约一半的50/140砂粒如所应当地到达了该出口,而几乎所有预期的云母都到了达该出口。在这些试验中显示,云母在线性凝胶和减阻水的任何一种中几乎都能定量输送。

实施例4:
图6显示了可能在页岩水力压裂中形成的裂缝网络类型的实例。穿透岩层的井眼用[8]描绘。在压力下泵送流体通过井眼并进入到岩层中,形成原生裂缝的两翼。这些翼通常沿最小的封闭应力方向形成。一个翼用[9]表示。如果生长裂缝遇到新的薄弱面,可能会形成新的次生裂缝;其实例用[10]表示。如有可能,用[11]显示的三级裂缝也可能在初始裂缝方向形成。(该图仅用于示范性目的;在复杂的裂缝网络中,许多其它的排列和取向都是可能的)
图7显示了可以使用本发明的方法的一种方式。图7的Panel I显示流体沿原生裂缝[9]流动,形成更窄的次生裂缝[10],然后形成比次生裂缝宽些的三级裂缝[11](流体流用粗箭头表示。)该网络可以通过注入前置液形成。Panel II显示了含本发明的片状颗粒的流体[13]的注入,流入到裂缝网络中;片状颗粒能够通过流径中的拐角,并且可以通过更窄的裂缝。然后注入一股暂堵材料,例如纤维;该材料的浆液在[14]显示。Panel III显示该材料在阻塞点形成了塞状物[15],更窄的次生裂缝在阻塞点从原生裂缝生长开来。所述流(flow)沿着原来的流径被抑制,由此会形式了新的裂缝[16]。随着片状颗粒的继续注入,它们会流入到新的裂缝中;然而又形成了另一个新的裂缝[17],其中所述流在此可能沿原生裂缝的方向继续。通过注入随后的暂堵材料股流,该方法可以重复多次。暂堵剂股流(slug)可以含有片状颗粒。或者,或另外地,含片状材料的流体也可以含有暂堵材料,例如以低的浓度含有;暂堵材料缓慢地在阻塞点聚集,直到发生暂堵。

1.一种处理被井眼穿透的地下岩层的方法,其包括制备支撑剂浆液,以及沿井眼向下注入浆液,其中支撑剂包括约20-约100重量%的厚度为约1-约500微米的片状颗粒。
