Abstract

技术领域
与本发明一致的装置和方法涉及等离子显示装置,且更具体地,涉及用于防止电磁干扰的等离子显示装置。
背景技术
等离子显示装置利用从气体放电产生的等离子来显示图像。等离子显示装置是下一代显示装置,因为它们厚度薄、重量轻,且能够容纳大屏幕尺寸。结果,针对这些等离子显示装置作了很多研究。
然而,对于目前的等离子显示装置,当驱动等离子显示装置时出现电磁波噪声,造成电磁干扰。为了解决这一问题,现有技术公开了一种等离子显示装置,其在等离子显示面板的前表面装备电磁波屏蔽滤板用于防止电磁干扰。但是,电磁波屏蔽滤板恶化了图像的亮度。而且,电磁波屏蔽滤板增加了等离子显示装置的制造成本。
因此,需要能够无需添加电磁波屏蔽滤板就可以防止电磁干扰的等离子显示装置。
发明内容
本发明的示范实施例克服以上的不足以及上面没有描述的其他不足。
本发明的示范实施例提供用于防止电磁干扰的等离子显示装置。
根据本发明的一方面,提供一种等离子显示装置,包括:第一基底和第二基底,彼此面对且其间具有预定间隙;多个X电极和多个Y电极,沿第一方向交替排列在第一基底上;多个地址电极,沿与第一方向交叉的第二方向排列在第二基底上;以及地址驱动器,其驱动该多个地址电极。
至少一个地址电极可以通过第二基底的第二方向的一端连接到该地址驱动器,而与该至少一个地址电极相邻的地址电极可以通过第二基底的第二方向的另一端连接到该地址驱动器。
多个地址电极可以通过第二基底的一端和另一端交替地连接到该地址驱动器。
预定数量的连续的地址电极可以形成地址电极群组,而且多个地址电极群组可以通过第二基底的一端和另一端交替地连接到该地址驱动器。
该地址驱动器可以包括:第一地址驱动器,其驱动通过第二基底的第二方向的一端连接到其的地址电极;和第二地址驱动器,其驱动通过第二基底的第二方向的另一端连接到其的地址电极。
等离子显示装置可以进一步包括:X驱动器,其驱动多个X电极;和Y驱动器,其驱动多个Y电极。
该等离子显示装置可以进一步包括控制器,其通过处理输入视频数据来产生控制信号,并且发送该控制信号到地址驱动器、X驱动器、和Y驱动器。

下面参照附图更详细地说明本发明的示范实施例。
在以下说明中,即便在不同的附图中也将相同附图参考数字用于相似或相同部件。在说明中定义的事物,诸如详细的构造和部件,是提供用于帮助全面理解本发明。然而,可以实践本发明而无需那些特别定义的事物。同样,没有详细说明公知的功能或构造,因为它们将以不必要的细节模糊本发明。

如图1所示,根据本发明的示范实施例的等离子显示装置10包括等离子显示面板100、控制器200、第一地址驱动器300、第二地址驱动器400、X驱动器500、和Y驱动器600。
等离子显示面板100包括第一基底110、第二基底120、X电极130、Y电极140、和地址电极150,如图2所示。
第一基底110和第二基底120彼此面对以使得第一基底110和第二基底120之间有预定间隙。在第一基底110和第二基底120之间的空间中执行气体放电。由气体放电产生的可见光线通过第一基底110向外部发射。因而,第一基底110由透明材料或半透明材料形成。
X电极130沿着第一方向(图1的x方向)排列在第一基底110上。X电极130可以称为公共电极。
Y电极140平行于X电极130排列在第一基底110上。Y电极可以称为扫描电极。如图1和2所示,X电极130和Y电极140交替地排列在第一基底110上。
在其上排列有X电极130和Y电极140的第一基底110的相同表面上形成第一电介质层111。第一电介质层111防止在持续放电发生时X电极130和Y电极140直接导电,并且防止带电粒子与X电极130和Y电极140直接碰撞。第一电介质层111包括氧化铅(PbO)、三氧化二硼(B2O3)、和二氧化硅(SiO2)。
在第一电介质层111上形成保护层112。保护层112防止X电极130和Y电极140受到等离子粒子的喷射的破坏。保护层112还将次级电子放电以降低放电电压。保护层112可以包括氧化镁(MgO)。
地址电极150沿着与第一方向(图1的x方向)交叉的第二方向(图1的y方向)排列在第二基底120上。地址电极150连同Y电极140一起执行地址放电。图2示出地址电极具有参考数字150,但是图1示出地址电极从左侧到右侧具有参考标记A1R、A1G、A1B、A2R、A2G、A2B、...、ANR、ANG、ANB以解释地址电极的排列。下面将更加详细地解释地址电极的排列。
如图2所示,在其中排列有地址电极150的第二基底120的相同表面上形成第二电介质层151。第二电介质层151将地址电极150彼此电绝缘,并且保护地址电极150。
隔板155形成于第二电介质层151上并且形成多个放电单元156。通过以诸如氩、氖、和氙的放电气体填充放电单元156来在放电单元156中执行气体放电。隔板155防止放电单元156之间的电学和光学串扰。
将荧光物质涂敷在第二电介质层151的上表面和隔板155的侧表面上,由此形成荧光层157。荧光层157由气体放电期间产生的紫外线激发而产生可见光线,其通过第一基底110向外部发射。荧光物质Y(V,P)O4:Eu可以用来表现红色,荧光物质Zn2SiO4:Mn可以用来表现绿色,而荧光物质BAM:Eu可以用来表现蓝色。

下文中,将解释根据本发明的示范实施例的地址电极A1R、A1G、A1B、A2R、A2G、A2B、...、ANR、ANG、ANB的排列。下标“R”意味着该地址电极与放出红色可见光线的放电单元对应,下标“G”意味着该地址电极与放出绿色可见光线的放电单元对应,而下标“B”意味着该地址电极与放出蓝色可见光线的放电单元对应。如图1所示,至少一个地址电极A1R、A1B、...、ANG通过第二基底120的第二方向(图1的y方向)的一端121连接到第一地址驱动器300,而其相邻的地址电极A1G、A2R、...、ANB通过第二基底120的第二方向(图1的y方向)的另一端122连接到第二地址驱动器400。也即,地址电极A1R、A1G、A1B、A2R、A2G、A2B、...、ANR、ANG、ANB交替地通过第二基底120的第二方向(图1的y方向)的一端121连接到第一地址驱动器300、和通过另一端122连接到第二地址驱动器400。应当注意,为了便于解释,没有示出全部地址电极。地址电极A1R、A1G、A1B、A2R、A2G、A2B、...、ANR、ANG、ANB的这样的排列导致电磁波噪声的减少,这将在下面更详细地描述。
等离子显示装置100的操作为本领域技术人员所熟知,因此将简要地解释。如果在地址电极150与X电极130之间施加预定地址电压,则发生地址放电,从而,选择其中发生持续放电的放电单元。那么,如果在选择的放电单元中在X电极130与Y电极140之间施加持续放电电压,则在X电极130和Y电极140上累积的壁电荷移动,造成持续放电。由持续放电激发的放电气体的能级被降低从而放出紫外线。紫外线激发放电单元中的荧光层157的荧光物质,并且激发的荧光物质的能级被降低从而发射可见光线。结果,在等离子显示装置的操作期间出现不希望的电磁波噪声,造成电磁干扰。
将参考图1的两个相邻地址电极ANG、ANB来解释根据本发明的示范实施例的等离子显示装置10的减少电磁干扰的操作。
首先,解释减少在持续放电期间发生的噪声的操作。本发明的发明人认识到在持续放电期间在X电极130和Y电极140中发生的噪声(称为持续噪声)朝在持续放电期间维持在接地状态的地址电极A1R、A1G、A1B、A2R、A2G、A2B、...、ANR、ANG、ANB传播,从而垂直(y方向)辐射噪声变为主导噪声源。将这样的噪声作为共有模式(common-mode)噪声对待。如上所述,第一地址电极ANG通过第二基底120的y方向的一端121连接到第一地址驱动器300,而与第一地址电极ANG相邻的第二地址电极ANB通过第二基底120的y方向的另一端122连接到第二地址驱动器400。因此,朝第一地址电极ANG感应的持续噪声具有箭头126指示的方向,而朝第二地址电极ANB感应的持续噪声具有箭头127指示的方向。也即,由于朝具有相反方向的两个相邻的地址电极ANG、ANB传播的持续噪声彼此抵消,因而减少了辐射噪声。
其次,将描述减少在驱动地址电极时发生的噪声的操作。如图1所示,第一地址电极ANG由第一地址驱动器300驱动,而第二地址电极ANB由第二地址驱动器400驱动。在这种情况下,电流以相反方向流经两个相邻地址电极ANG、ANB,减少了噪声。
虽然为了简洁起见仅解释了两个地址电极ANG、ANB,但是相同的机制适用于图1所示的其他地址电极从而能够减少噪声。如上所述,在持续放电期间发生的噪声、和在驱动地址电极时发生的噪声被极大地减少以防止电磁干扰。
图3是比较图1的等离子显示装置10的仿真垂直(y方向)辐射噪声的结果与现有技术的等离子显示装置的结果的曲线图。图3的实线指示根据本发明的示范实施例的等离子显示装置10中的噪声的级别,而图3的虚线指示现有技术的等离子显示装置中的噪声的级别。参考图3,仿真结果显示本发明的示范实施例中辐射噪声被极大地减少。更具体地,由本发明的发明人进行的实验显示噪声在频率30Mhz到100Mhz处被减少大约10dB。因此,根据上述的本发明的示范实施例,无需电磁波屏蔽滤板就可以减少电磁干扰,该滤板会恶化图像的亮度并增加等离子显示装置的制造成本。
图4是说明根据本发明的另一示范实施例的等离子显示装置20的示意图。如前述实施例的那些执行相同功能的组件被给予相同的参考数字,这里省去它们的详细说明。
该实施例与前述实施例的区别在于地址电极的排列。也即,预定数量的连续的地址电极形成地址电极群组,它们通过第二基底120的y方向的一端121和另一端122交替地连接到第一和第二地址驱动器300、400。参考图4,三个连续的地址电极A1R、A1G、A1B形成第一地址电极群组AGi,而与地址电极A1R、A1G、A1B相邻的另外三个连续的地址电极A2R、A2G、A2B形成第二地址电极群组AG2。第一地址电极群组AG1通过第二基底120的第二方向(图4的y方向)的一端121连接到第一地址驱动器300,而第二地址电极群组AG2通过第二基底120的第二方向(图4的y方向)的另一端122连接到第二地址驱动器400。
以与前述实施例相同的方式,在持续放电期间持续噪声以相反方向在相邻的第一和第二地址电极群组AG1、AG2中传播,而当地址电极被驱动时电流以相反方向流经第一和第二地址电极群组AG1、AG2,从而能够极大地减少噪声。
虽然图4所示的实施例中三个地址电极形成一个地址电极群组,但是形成一个地址电极群组的地址电极的数量可以改变。例如,两个地址电极可以形成单个地址电极群组。

该实施例与前述实施例的区别在于只有单个地址驱动器300′,而非两个地址驱动器。然而,按照与图1的实施例的相同方式,至少一个地址电极A1R,A1B、...、ANG通过第二基底120的第二方向(图1的y方向)的一端121连接到地址驱动器300′,而其相邻的地址电极A1G、A2R、...、ANB通过第二基底120的第二方向(图1的y方向)的另一端122连接到地址驱动器300′。按照与前述实施例相同的方式,在持续放电期间持续噪声以相反方向朝两个相邻的地址电极传播,而当地址电极被驱动时电流以相反方向流经两个地址电极,从而能够极大地减少噪声。
由于图5的实施例仅具有单个地址驱动器300′,故等离子显示装置30的制造成本被进一步降低。
图6是说明根据本发明的另一示范实施例的等离子显示装置40的示意图。执行与前述实施例相同的功能的组件被给予相同的参考数字,这里省去它们的详细说明。
该实施例与前述实施例的区别在于地址电极的排列。也即,与放出红色可见光线的放电单元对应的地址电极A1R、A2R、...、ANR通过第二基底120的y方向的一端121连接到第一地址驱动器300,而与放出绿色和蓝色可见光线的放电单元对应的其他地址电极A1G、A1B、A2G、A2B、...、ANG、ANB通过第二基底120的y方向的另一端122连接到第二地址驱动器400。由于与前述实施例相同的原因,图6的实施例中噪声被减少。然而,与图6的实施例相比,图1和图5的实施例中噪声减少的量可能更大。
虽然在图6的实施例中与放出红色可见光线的放电单元对应的地址电极A1R、A2R、...、ANR通过第二基底120的y方向的一端121连接到第一地址驱动器300,但是这可以被修改。例如,与放出绿色可见光线的放电单元对应的地址电极A1G、A2G、...、ANG可以通过第二基底120的y方向的一端121连接到第一地址驱动器300,或者与放出蓝色可见光线的放电单元对应的地址电极A1B、A2B、...、ANB可以通过第二基底120的y方向的一端121连接到第一地址驱动器300。
前述示范实施例和优点仅仅是示范性的且不应被解读为限制本发明。本发明教示可以容易地应用于其他类型的装置。同样,本发明的示范实施例的说明旨在是说明性的,而非限制权利要求的范围,且众多替换、修改和改变对本领域的技术人员是显然的。

Claims (10)
1.一种等离子显示装置,包括:
第一基底和第二基底,彼此面对且其间具有预定间隙;
多个X电极和多个Y电极,沿第一方向交替排列在第一基底上;
多个地址电极,沿与第一方向交叉的第二方向排列在第二基底上;以及
地址驱动器,其驱动该多个地址电极,
其中多个地址电极中的至少一个地址电极通过第二基底的第二方向的第一端连接到该地址驱动器,而与所述多个地址电极中的所述至少一个地址电极相邻的地址电极通过第二基底的第二方向的第二端连接到该地址驱动器。
2.如权利要求1所述的等离子显示装置,其中所述多个地址电极通过第二基底的第一端和第二端交替地连接到该地址驱动器。
3.如权利要求1所述的等离子显示装置,其中所述多个地址电极中的预定数量的地址电极形成地址电极群组,而且
多个地址电极群组通过第二基底的第一端和第二端交替地连接到该地址驱动器。
4.如权利要求1所述的等离子显示装置,其中该地址驱动器包括:
第一地址驱动器,其驱动通过第二基底的第一端连接到其的多个地址电极中的至少一个地址电极;以及
第二地址驱动器,其驱动通过第二基底的第二端连接到其的多个地址电极中的至少一个地址电极。
5.如权利要求1所述的等离子显示装置,还包括:
X驱动器,其驱动多个X电极;以及
Y驱动器,其驱动多个Y电极。
6.如权利要求5所述的等离子显示装置,还包括控制器,其通过处理输入视频数据来产生控制信号,并且发送该控制信号到地址驱动器、X驱动器、和Y驱动器。
7.如权利要求1所述的等离子显示装置,还包括:
在第一基底的表面上形成的第一电介质层;
在第一电介质层上形成的保护层;
在第二基底的表面上形成的第二电介质层;
在第二电介质层上形成的由隔板分开的多个放电单元;以及
在电介质层上、和该隔板的侧表面形成的荧光层。
8.如权利要求1所述的等离子显示装置,其中多个地址电极包括与放出红色可见光线的第一放电单元对应的至少一个电极、与放出蓝色可见光线的第二放电单元对应的至少一个电极、和与放出绿色可见光线的第三放电单元对应的至少一个电极。
9.如权利要求8所述的等离子显示装置,其中与第一、第二、和第三放电单元中的至少一个对应的多个地址电极的至少一个连接到第二基底的第一端,而且与没有连接到第二基底的第一端的放电单元对应的多个地址电极的至少一个连接到第二基底的第二端。
10.一种等离子显示装置,包括:
等离子显示面板,包括:
y方向上的第一端;和
y方向上的第二端;
连接到等离子显示面板的多个地址电极;以及
地址驱动单元,其驱动连接到等离子显示面板的多个地址电极,
其中至少一个地址电极连接到等离子显示面板的第一端,而且至少一个地址电极连接到等离子显示面板的第二端。
