背景技术
众所周知,玻璃如未经过防护处理,则会在不利环境条件的影响下发生腐蚀,特别是在pH呈碱性的水性介质中。当玻璃为钠钙型玻璃时,当碱金属阳离子如Na+以及较少程度下的K+接近玻璃表面时,其会从玻璃表面脱离并溶解在周围介质中,例如在存在湿气和流动水的情况下。为了限制该现象,已提出多种方法,例如对接近玻璃制品表面的这些离子进行贫化处理。该方法在于使用能够将接近该表面的薄区域中的钠和/或钾含量去除或显著减少的化学试剂来处理玻璃表面。
然而该技术的效果随着时间的流逝是有限的,这是因为来自玻璃制品内部的Na+和K+离子的缓慢扩散现象,该现象是由于对接近表面的这些离子的贫化处理形成的浓度梯度造成的。
发明内容
本发明通过提供具有改善的耐化学性的玻璃而克服上述缺陷,所述玻璃在各种环境条件下、任选地在碱性水性介质中是稳定的,无需再对Na+和/或K+离子进行专门的贫化处理,并经久耐用。
为此,本发明涉及如权利要求1所定义的玻璃制品。
从属权利要求定义了实现本发明的其它可能形式,其中一些是优选方案。
本发明的玻璃制品由可属于不同类别的无机型玻璃形成。无机玻璃可例如为钠钙玻璃、硼玻璃、铅玻璃、含有一种或多种均匀分散于其本体中的添加剂的玻璃,例如含有至少一种无机着色剂、氧化性化合物、黏度调节剂和/或促熔剂的玻璃。该无机玻璃还可经受热淬火,目的在于改善其表面硬度。优选地,本发明的玻璃制品由无色的或在本体中着色的钠钙玻璃形成。此处所用的术语“钠钙玻璃”是广义的,其涉及任何含有下述基础组分(以占玻璃总重量的百分比来表示)的玻璃:

本发明的玻璃制品具有改善的耐化学性。这指的是与已知玻璃相比对化学试剂具有更好的耐受性。化学试剂指大气环境中的试剂,如雨水,其任选含有以溶解或悬浮状态普遍存在于大气中的污染物,以及某些合成的溶液,尤其为水性的,该溶液任选地在各种有机或无机溶剂的存在下含有碱化、酸化和/或氧化还原化学试剂。本发明制品的耐受性表现为在化学试剂的长期影响下不存在腐蚀或重量损失,该时长可以延续数年,或表现为该腐蚀或重量损失的至少显著降低,降低到对于制品的使用而言不明显的值。
根据本发明,该玻璃制品含有至少一种化学增强剂。该化学增强剂的化学组成可以包含与玻璃制品的本体组成完全不同的组分。作为变化方案,它相反也可含有一种或多种已存在于玻璃制品的本体组成中的化合物。
根据本发明,该化学增强剂由纳米颗粒夹杂物形成,其存在于玻璃制品表面以下且接近表面。符合本发明的夹杂物可由多个纳米颗粒的聚集体形成,或相反各自由独立的纳米颗粒构成。
根据本发明,该纳米颗粒具有不小于2nm的尺寸,优选不小于10nm。此外,该纳米颗粒具有不大于500nm的尺寸,且优选不大于100nm。
每个纳米颗粒由单独一种化学增强剂化合物形成。作为变化方案,它也可由多种不同化学增强剂的组合物形成。在后一情况下,该组合物无需为均匀的。
根据本发明制品的一个优选特征,该夹杂物由至少一种无机化合物构成。根据该特征,每个纳米颗粒由至少一种化学增强剂无机化合物构成。任何消除或减少玻璃制品的腐蚀或重量损失的无机化合物都可适用。
然而通常优选的是,在本发明的玻璃制品中,构成纳米颗粒的无机化合物优选自氧化物、氮化物、碳化物和氧化物和/或氮化物和/或碳化物中至少两种的组合。
更优选地,所述无机化合物选自镁、钙、锶、钡的氧化物,或选自钪、钇、镧、钛、锆、钒、铌、钽、铝、镓、铟、硅、锗、锡的氧化物、氮化物和碳化物,以及至少两种上述化合物的组合。
在这些化合物中,铝的氧化物和硅的氧化物提供了出色的效果。单独使用的三价铝氧化物(Al2O3)显示其为非常有效的化学增强剂。同样,单独使用的四价硅的氧化物(SiO2)也可提供被纳米颗粒有效增强的玻璃。
根据本发明的另一优选特征,纳米颗粒夹杂物至少部分结晶化,即其至少5%的重量比例由晶体构成。该晶体可属于多种不同的晶系。作为变化方案,其也可以为相同晶系。优选地,夹杂物重量的至少50%为结晶形式。特别优选地,全部夹杂物都为结晶形式。例如,在使用三价铝的氧化物作为化学增强剂的情况下,结果显示尤其获得大部分结晶化的纳米颗粒夹杂物,这些晶体属于两种不同晶系:四方晶系(δ-Al2O3)和立方晶系(η-Al2O3)。
根据本发明制品的一个具体特征,所述夹杂物的形状为准球形。所谓准球形是指一种与直径等于该准球形物体最大尺寸的球体体积相近的三维形状。优选地,该夹杂物的体积至少为直径等于该夹杂物最大尺寸的球体体积的80%。
根据本发明制品的另一具体技术特征,该夹杂物的粒径不小于5nm,优选不小于50nm。此外,夹杂物的粒径不大于500nm,且优选不大于350nm。所谓粒径是指夹杂物的最大尺寸。
根据本发明的具体实施方式的第一种形式,无机化合物的浓度在沿玻璃深度方向分布,其浓度曲线具有距离表面不小于5nm的最大峰,优选不小于30nm。此外,所述最大峰距离表面不大于250nm,通常不大于200nm,优选不大于90nm。
根据实施方式的该第一种形式,无机化合物的浓度曲线通常具有从所述峰的相应浓度开始并朝向制品中心的连续单调递减,它从不小于300nm、优选不小于600nm的深度起趋向于零或趋向于与任选地存在于制品中心的浓度相等的恒定值。此外,所述深度与表面的距离不大于2500nm,且优选不大于2000nm。

具体而言,本发明涉及符合上述描述的制品,其通过包括以下步骤的方法获得:(a)纳米颗粒的制备,(b)使纳米颗粒沉积于所述制品的表面上,以及(c)对纳米颗粒和/或所述表面施加能量以使该纳米颗粒扩散/溶解到玻璃中。这样的方法公开于申请WO 2007110482A2中。
纳米颗粒的形成和在玻璃制品表面上的沉积可通过例如下述已知方法在一步中同时进行,
-化学汽相沉积(或CVD):改良的化学汽相沉积方法(或MCVD)可用于本发明中。该改良方法与常规途径的区别在于前体的反应发生在气相中而非玻璃表面上。
-湿法沉积,如溶胶-凝胶沉积,或
-借助火焰对液态、气态或固态前体进行喷涂(或火焰喷涂)。
在作为例子提及并且具体公开于申请FI 20050595A中的借助火焰进行的喷涂中,纳米颗粒是通过将至少一种化学前体的溶液雾化为由火焰运载的气雾剂而形成,其中产生燃烧从而形成固体纳米颗粒。这些纳米颗粒可以随后直接沉积于置于接近火焰末端的表面上。该方法尤其提供了好的结果。
作为变化方案,纳米颗粒的形成和在玻璃制品表面上的沉积是通过两个步骤相继实现的。在此情况下,纳米颗粒是预先通过蒸汽法、湿法(溶胶-凝胶法、沉淀法、热液合成法...)或干法(机械研磨法、机械化学合成法...)以固体形式或液体中的悬浮物形式生成。能够预先生成固体形式的纳米颗粒的方法的一个例子为所谓借助燃烧进行的化学汽相冷凝法(或CCVC)的已知方法。该方法在于在火焰中将前体溶液转化为汽相,该汽相经过燃烧反应提供纳米颗粒,最终将其收集。
随后,预先生成的纳米颗粒可通过各种已知方法转移到玻璃制品的表面上。
纳米颗粒扩散/溶解到玻璃中所需的能量例如可通过将玻璃制品加热到适当温度而产生。
根据本发明,纳米颗粒扩散到玻璃中所需的能量可以在沉积纳米颗粒时或在沉积后提供。
下述实施例意在说明本发明,而非以任何方式限定本发明的范围。
具体实施方式
实施例1(根据本发明)
将一片厚度为4mm,尺寸为20cmx20cm的透明钠钙型浮法玻璃依次用自来水、去离子水和异丙醇洗涤,最后干燥。
将氢和氧引入到点式烧嘴中以在所述烧嘴出口形成火焰。将预先经过洗涤的玻璃片的表面置于接近火焰末端处。将含有9水合硝酸铝Al(NO3)3·9H2O的甲醇溶液(铝/甲醇重量稀释比=1/80)引入到火焰中。从而在该火焰中生成氧化铝的纳米颗粒,其随后收集于在650℃的炉中预热过的玻璃片表面上。为了覆盖全部玻璃片表面,烧嘴在所述玻璃片面内两个空间方向上移动。烧嘴头在两个方向之一的方向上以每分钟3米的固定速度连续移动,在与第一方向垂直的另一方向上,以2厘米的跨度跳动。
进行完纳米颗粒的沉积后,使该玻璃片以每小时最多35℃的速率受控冷却。
对经过上述处理的玻璃片通过透封扫描电子显微镜、、原子力显微镜、X-射线荧光光谱、X-射线光电子光谱及二次离子质谱进行分析。所做分析表明铝已经以三氧化二铝Al2O3颗粒的形式掺入到接近表面的玻璃本体中。纳米颗粒夹杂物的粒径为10-100nm。这些纳米颗粒大部分是结晶的且晶体属于两种不同晶系:四方晶系(δ-Al2O3)和立方晶系(η-Al2O3)。
附图1显示从经过处理的表面开始Al/Si原子比随着片中的深度的变化。其表明铝掺入到接近玻璃片表面的玻璃片本体中。铝的浓度沿玻璃深度方向分布,其分布曲线具有距离表面90nm的最大峰。
在能够加速经处理的玻璃片老化的气候舱中进行了分析,以证实三氧化二铝纳米颗粒的引入对玻璃的耐化学性的影响。还与相同但未经过处理的玻璃片(对照物)进行了比较。
经过处理的玻璃片和对照物暴露在气候舱中20天,其中相对湿度恒定在98%,温度在45℃-55℃间循环。循环周期严格为1小时50分钟,并在一天内产生12个周期。每天一次在30分钟内使温度从45℃降低到25℃,在25℃下保持一小时。随后再在30分钟内将温度从25℃回升到45℃,然后重新开始温度循环。一定时间周期后对玻璃片进行检测。
未经过处理的对照玻璃板在气候舱中4天后即出现腐蚀现象。相反,经过上述方法处理的玻璃板在气候舱中20天后仍未出现腐蚀现象。从而,三氧化二铝纳米颗粒在接近于表面之一的玻璃本体中的存在使得能够获得具有改善的耐化学性能的玻璃。
实施例2(根据本发明)
将一片厚度为4mm、尺寸为20cmx20cm的透明钠钙型浮法玻璃依次用自来水、去离子水和异丙醇洗涤,最后干燥。
将诸如由PlasmaChem公司提供的三氧化二铝纳米颗粒干粉以撒布的方式沉积于预先经过洗涤的玻璃片表面上。所用纳米颗粒的粒径为5-150nm。它们大部分是结晶的且晶体属于三种不同晶系:斜方六面体晶系(α-Al2O3)、四方晶系(β-Al2O3)和立方晶系(γ-Al2O3)。
进行完纳米颗粒的沉积之后,将玻璃片在900℃的炉中加热一小时,随后以每小时最多35℃的速率受控冷却。
通过与实施例1所述相同的技术对经过上述处理的玻璃片进行分析。分析表明三氧化二铝纳米颗粒已掺入到接近表面的玻璃本体中,且所得结果在粒径和结晶度方面与初始使用的纳米颗粒具有一致的特征。此外,铝的浓度沿玻璃深度分布,其分布曲线具有从等于700nm的深度开始趋向于恒定值的连续单调递减,该恒定值等于存在于中心的铝浓度。
Claims (16)
1.玻璃制品,该制品在接近该制品表面的玻璃本体中含有至少一种化学增强剂,其特征在于该化学增强剂由纳米颗粒夹杂物形成。
2.根据前一权利要求所述的制品,其特征在于该纳米颗粒夹杂物至少部分地结晶。
3.根据前一权利要求所述的制品,其特征在于该纳米颗粒夹杂物完全结晶。
4.根据前述任一权利要求所述的制品,其特征在于该夹杂物由至少一种无机化合物构成。
5.根据前一权利要求所述的制品,其特征在于该无机化合物选自氧化物、氮化物、碳化物以及氧化物和/或氮化物和/或碳化物中至少两种的组合。
6.根据前一权利要求所述的制品,其特征在于该无机化合物选自镁、钙、锶、钡、钪、钇、钛、锆、钒、铌、钽、铝、镓、铟、硅、锗、锡、镧的氧化物以及至少两种上述化合物的组合。
7.根据前一权利要求所述的制品,其特征在于该无机化合物为三价铝的氧化物。
8.根据权利要求6所述的制品,其特征在于该无机化合物为四价硅的氧化物。
9.根据前述任一权利要求所述的制品,其特征在于夹杂物的形状为准球形。
10.根据前述任一权利要求所述的制品,其特征在于该夹杂物的粒径为5-500nm。
11.根据前述任一权利要求所述的制品,其特征在于该无机化合物的浓度沿玻璃的深度分布,其浓度曲线具有距离表面5-250nm的最大峰。
12.根据前一权利要求所述的制品,其特征在于无机化合物的最大峰位于距离表面30-200nm处。
13.根据权利要求11-12任一项所述的制品,其特征在于,无机化合物的浓度曲线具有从所述峰的相应浓度开始并朝向制品中心的连续单调递减,它从距离表面300nm至2500nm的深度起趋向于零或趋向于与任选地存在于制品中心的浓度相等的恒定值。
14.根据权利要求1-10任一项所述的制品,其特征在于,无机化合物的浓度根据下述曲线沿着玻璃的深度分布:该曲线从玻璃表面开始单调连续递减,并从距离表面300nm至2500nm的深度起趋向于零或趋向于与任选地存在于制品中心的浓度相等的恒定值。
15.根据前述任一权利要求所述的制品,其特征在于其通过由至少一种前体在火焰中生成纳米颗粒的方法制得。
16.根据前述任一权利要求所述的制品,其特征在于该制品的玻璃由钠钙型平板玻璃片构成。
