技术领域
本发明大体上涉及一种加压设备,尤其是用于防止或治疗诸如深静脉血栓类型的加压设备。
背景技术
不能移动的患者和类似人员的主要顾虑是在血液中形成凝块的医学情况,诸如深静脉血栓(DVT)和。这种患者和人员包括那些正接受手术、麻醉和长期卧床休养等的人。这些血液凝结情况通常发生在下肢或骨盆的深静脉中。这些静脉,诸如髂骨、股骨、膝后弯和胫骨,将已脱氧的血液返回至心脏。例如,当这些静脉中的血液循环由于疾病、损伤或休止而受阻时,可能使得血液积聚或汇集。血液的静态池可以导致形成血栓。与这一情况相关的主要风险是干扰心血管循环。最严重地,血栓的碎片可以松散地碎裂并且移动。碎片可能形成肺栓塞,这可能阻塞主肺动脉,这可能是威胁生命的。本发明还可以应用于治疗其它情况,诸如淋巴水肿。
通过向患者肢体、诸如举例而言腿部施加间歇性压力以协助血液循环,可以控制或减轻与患者不可移动性相关的情况和产生的风险。例如,已经使用了连续加压设备,诸如授予Hasty的美国专利号No.4091864中所公开的设备。连续加压设备通常包括在接缝处固定在一起的两片材料,以限定一个或多个流体密封的囊,其连接至压力源,用于在患者身体部件周围施加连续压力,以改善血液返回心脏。可膨胀部分覆盖有薄片以提高耐用性、患者舒适度,以及防止穿孔。作为加压设备的一部分,两片的结构设计成在重复使用下,承受随着时间改变的压力。使用医学管道形成从压力源至加压设备的通常数个囊的连接。气压源是最常位于远离患者的空气压缩器。
发明内容

具体实施方式
现在参考附图并且尤其参考图1,用于对佩带者的身体部位施加压力治疗的加压设备组件总体上标识为10。加压设备组件包括总体上标识为12的加压设备以及安装在加压设备上的总体上标识为14的便携式控制器单元。
参考图1-3,所示实施例的加压设备12的尺寸和形状适于环绕在佩带者的腿部。加压设备12包括可膨胀部件16,其具有三个间隔开的可膨胀囊18。囊的数量和/或结构可以与所示实施例中不同。可膨胀部件16包括沿着上、中和下密封线24分别彼此固定的相对的内、外囊层20、22。如本文中所采用的,术语“内”、“外”指的是当设备12环绕腿时相对于佩带者腿的相对位置。密封线24以及囊层20、22在线外周中的部分一起限定了各可膨胀囊18,其能够保持加压空气。在一个实施例中,每个囊层20、22由单片材料一体地形成。例如,每个囊层20、22可以由单片空气不可透过的材料、诸如PVC形成,或者可以是层叠材料。此外,囊层20、22可以沿着囊密封线24彼此熔接,但是形成囊线和可膨胀囊的其它方式也在本发明的范围中。虽然未示出,加压设备12可以包括用于接触佩带者皮肤的内层或衬垫以及形成设备外部表面的外层。其它结构也在本发明的范围中。
参考图1-6,与各个可膨胀囊18流体相通的管道28从可膨胀囊18延伸至座32(更广义地,“管道端子”),其中安装有便携式控制器单元14(或“空气压缩器单元”),如下文将详细描述的。使用管道28以在使用期间将加压空气从控制器单元14释放至可膨胀囊18。每个管道28由将囊层20、20彼此固定的、间隔开的、大体上相对的一对管道密封线30所形成。每对管道线30以及囊层20、22位于该对线之间的部分限定了一个管道28。囊层20、22可以通过囊密封线24沿着管道线30彼此熔接。此外,如所示实施例中,各隔囊18和相关的管道28可以由单个连续线形成。例如而不是进行限制,单次熔接操作可以形成连续密封线,其包括囊密封线24以及囊18及其相关的管道28中之一的该对管道密封线30。
参考图3-6,在每个管道28中容纳一个垫圈34,用于保持管道沿着其长度方向张开,从而在使用期间管道与控制器单元14流体相通。每个垫圈34沿着其长度大体上是细长和柔性的,从而垫圈能够适应于管道28的路径。如图5中最佳地所示,每个垫圈34具有大体U-形横截面和在管道中的相对囊层20、22之间延伸的高度。至少在正常情况下,每个垫圈34沿着其高度基本上是不可压缩的,或者将不完全地折叠。通过该结构,管道28保持张开,并且囊18保持与控制器单元14流体相通,而不考虑施加至设备12的任何压缩力(例如,佩带者腿部的重量),其可能闭合或者以其它方式妨碍控制器单元和一个或多个可膨胀囊之间的流体流动。在一个实例中,每个垫圈34由PVC或硅树脂构成,包括可挤出的硅树脂,并且可以通过挤出或由原料形成。
参考图1-3A,将其上安装有便携式控制器单元14的座32固定至外囊层20的外部表面。座32包括内凹连接器部件38,用于接收便携式控制器单元14的可匹配的凸连接器部件40,以将控制器单元可释放地安装在加压设备12上。应当理解,座32可以包括凸连接器部件,用于接收在本发明的范围中的便携式控制器单元14的可匹配的凹连接器部件中。在所示的实施例中,通过按扣匹配啮合,阳连接部件40可释放地保持在阴连接部件38中。凸连接器部件40具有略球茎的形状,而凹连接器部件38(“容器”)具有相应的形状。凸连接器部件40的最宽部分比凹连接器部件38的出口更宽,从而随着阳部件进入凹连接器部件时,阳部件和/或阴部件变形。一旦将凸连接器部件40插入凹连接器部件38中足够远时,其达到凹连接器部件的较宽部分,并且向回“按扣”成其原始形状。将意识到,此后连接器部件38、40防止分离。然而,在施加足够的力时,连接器部件38、40可以脱离。将便携式控制器单元14可释放地安装在加压设备12上的其它方式,包括可匹配按扣匹配部件,在本发明的范围中。
参考图3和3A,座32的每个凹连接器部件38经由座内的一个入口通道44流体地连接至一个管道28。在一个实例中,座32,包括凹连接器部件38和入口通道44,模制为整体单元。形成座32的其它方式也在本发明的范围中。通过热焊接(例如,射频(RF)焊接)、粘合剂、机械连接器或其它方式将座32固定至内外囊层20、22,从而座中的入口通道44与各个囊管道28处于密封的流体相通。例如而不是进行限制,在一种方法中,将座32与将成为内囊层20的一片一同设置在RF焊接夹钳中,而该片围绕入口通道44而焊接至座32。外囊层22和垫圈34(将形成的每个管道28具有一个)相邻设置在焊接夹钳中。形成第二焊接,将内外囊层20、22连接在一起并且将两层连接至座32,从每个入口通道44至座的外周,由此形成管道28的小部分。使用U-形夹钳部件用于该过程,从而管道28的小部分保持在座32的外周开放。第三焊接步骤将内外囊层20、22连接在一起,以形成每个管道28的其余部分,以及囊18。在第三焊接步骤中,将垫圈34封装在管道28中。由于当座32存在于焊接线中是与当座不是焊接的一部分时材料的厚度有所不同,使用两个不同的焊接步骤以形成管道28。然而,可以想象,使用合适调整的焊接夹钳可以在单一步骤中形成管道28。
参考图1,便携式控制器单元14包括电连接至空气压缩器52和阀机构54的控制器50。每个部件50、52和54安装在多管底部56(广义地,底部)上。如下文所述的,阳连接部件40从多管底部56向外延伸。更特别地,阳连接部件40从底部56的第一面58a(图3)向外延伸,而控制器50、空气压缩器52和阀机构54安装在底部的相对第二面58b(图3)上。在所示的实施例中,底部56的纵轴A1通常与连接部件40的轴A2(仅示出一条)垂直。控制器50可以是微处理器,其在运行期间与空气压缩器52和阀机构54相通。阀机构54可以包括多个阀(例如,电磁阀),其由微处理器控制。虽然附图中未示出,但是控制器单元可以包括可再充电、便携式电源,诸如电池,用于向控制器50、空气压缩器52和阀机构54供电。便携式控制器单元14的操作可以与本领域中已知的方式相同的方式进行操作。
参考图1和3,多管底部56包括延伸通过凸连接器部件40的单一内部通风入口60和多个内部通风出口62。通风入口60流体地连接空气压缩器52和阀机构54。通风入口60在第一位置处从多管底部56的第二面58b延伸至第二面上的第二位置。空气压缩器52安装在底部56的第二面58b上,在第一位置与通风入口60流体相通。通风出口62流体地连接阀机构54和凸连接器部件40。通风出口62在第三位置处延伸通过底部56的第二面58b,并且轴向地延伸通过凸连接器部件40以将阀机构54流体地连接至各个管道28和各个囊18。阀机构54安装在底部56的第二面58b上,其在第二位置与通风入口60并且在第三位置与通风出口62流体相通。在一个实例中,包括通风入口60、通风出口62和凸连接器部件40的多管底部56模制为单一集成单元。例如,底部56和阳部件40可以由弹性聚合物材料形成。应当理解,底部56可以以其它方式形成,而不背离本发明的范围。便携式控制器单元14还可以包括可脱离地固定至多管底部56的盖(未示出),以封闭控制器50、空气压缩器52和阀机构54.
在另一典型使用中,加压设备组件10环绕患者的肢体,例如腿。可以使用临近加压设备12的相对侧边缘的可匹配紧固件,诸如钩和环紧固件(未示出),以将加压设备可释放地固定至佩带者肢体,正如本领域所公知的。在将加压设备12固定至佩带者肢体之前或之后,通过将连接部件40插入座32中的各个阴连接部件38中,将便携式控制器单元14安装在设备上。如上所述,阳连接部件28通过按扣匹配啮合维持在阴连接部件中。使用安装在设备12上的控制器单元14,控制器单元与可膨胀囊18流体相通。可以激活控制器50以开始加压治疗,由此空气压缩器52经由多管底部56中的通风入口60将加压空气释放至阀机构54,其将空气转向三个通风出口62中之一并且经由一个管道28转向合适的囊18。通过简单地将底部56拉离座32,从而公连接部件40脱离座32中的阴连接部件38,使便携式控制器单元14可以与加压设备12分离。将意识到,在所示实施例中,消除了用于释放空气的独立管道。可以想象,加压设备12可以是一次性的,并且构建为用于单次使用。因而,具有可再充电电源的便携式控制器单元14可以重复使用,并且安装在相同类型的另一加压设备12上。

Claims (23)

可膨胀囊,由第一和第二囊层以及使第一和第二囊层彼此固定的囊密封线所限定;以及
多个管道,每个管道由间隔开的、将第一和第二囊层彼此固定的基本上相对的管道密封线以及管道线之间的第一和第二囊层的部分所限定,至少一个管道流体连接至可膨胀囊,用于将加压空气释放至可膨胀囊中;
管道端子,由加压设备支撑并且在其中具有通道,对于每个管道,第一和第二囊层中至少之一在相应的一个通道处密封地连接至管道端子,以形成管道端子和管道之间的流体密封连接,由此通道和管道流体相通。
