Abstract

本发明涉及一种一步烫发液的改进。
在现在所知的烫发液中,两步式烫发液大约已被使用了四十年。两步式烫发液包括第一溶液和第二溶液,其中,第一溶液以硫代乙醇酸铵为主要成分,另外还加进了一种苛性碱或碱性碳酸盐,第二溶液主要是碱性溴酸盐的水溶液。按照公认的烫发原理,电烫头发是以下列方式进行的:首先对头发使用第一溶液,这样,组成头发的角蛋白所含有的胱氨酸中的硫键(-S-S-)通过氢化作用而被打断(-S-H H-S-),从而使头发软化成一种它被卷曲或拉紧的状态,然后对其使用第二溶液,打断了的键通过氧化(-S-HH-S-+O2→-S-S-+H2O)而被复原,以便固定头发的卷曲。由于常规的烫发液包括第一溶液,该溶液含有使得其碱度(即中和一毫升的有关碱所需要的0.1N的盐酸的毫升数)超过3.5的过量水平的碱(碱性碳酸盐,苛性碱,或氨),因此,当头发被涂上第一溶液后,一种氰化物(如氰化钾)就立刻产生了。该氰化物打断胱氨酸中的硫键(-S-S-)更特别的是,胱氨酸(R-S-S-R,R代表角蛋白)与氰化钾(KCN)之间的反应是以下面的化学反应式(ⅰ)和(ⅱ)所示的两步进行的:

的化学反应式(ⅲ),硫氰基(-SCN)被氧化剂所氧化,在使用第二溶液时,该氧化剂碱性溴酸盐是作为其主要成分。即使在不使用第二溶液时,它也会被作为烫发液废液的付产品的红色氰化物(铁氰化物)所氧化。通过氧化而产生了氰化物。
同时,羊毛硫氨酸R-S-R就留在了头发中,且当其固定时,头发就被认为是永久卷曲了。
经过各种研究,本发明人发现常规烫发理论所认为的电烫头发是通过利用硫醇的氢化反应打断胱氨酸中的硫键和通过氧化恢复打断的硫键是错误的。实际上,本发明人发现应用常规的两步式烫发液,采用上面化学反应式(ⅰ)到(ⅲ)所示的步骤进行电烫头发是通过用氰化物打断硫键和通过氧化恢复打断的硫键而完成。
如上所述,当对头发使用第一溶液时,由于角蛋白被作为第一溶液主要成分的硫醇和碱所分解,所以就产生了氰化物。众所周知,氰化物本身是剧毒的,况且,它们与头发中的铁反应形成六聚氰的二价或三价化合物(黄色或红色氰化物),这种化合物进一步又与血液中的铁离子反应使得其毒性比氰化物更大,从而不仅仅是引起损害头发和脱发,而且引起贫血和癌症,并且对孕妇(或胎儿)产生不良影响。还有,当头发经过处理产生氰化物时,头发中存留的硫氰化物(thiocyane)就能与水反应,引起头发的分解和使烫发的效果只能维持一到两个月,同时还损伤头发,破坏卷发。
本发明人所发现的以上生化事实是构成有关改进的烫发液的本发明的基础。
一步烫发液在美容室可按下列方法使用:
(1)将头发盘绕在许多的棒针上且用橡皮圈固定,同时盘绕的头发用50毫升的烫发液处理大约20分钟;
(2)用罩子罩在烫发者的头上约10至20分钟,然后揭掉罩子;
(3)盘绕的头发用热水冲洗,且在过后几分钟从头发上取下棒针。通过利用手提式干燥器精梳头发同时利用头发中的残存湿度而完成头发的定型。如果需要的话,可以将所有或部分头发重新盘绕在相对于棒针来说具有更大直径(如1到2厘米)的滚筒上,然后用大约50至60℃的热空气干燥约15分钟,以便产生大的卷曲。即使在冲洗以后,这些大的卷曲仍然牢固的保持着和滚筒一样的直径。
按照发明人的发现,采用上述一步烫发液进行烫发是通过胱氨酸中的硫键的水解(-S-S-+H2O→-S-OH+H-S-)和后来的利用脱水作用恢复硫键的结合而完成的。
在进行烫发的过程中,缩短所需的整个时间和改善卷发效果的持久性是需要不断追求的目标。进一步而言,应用烫发液时,限制氰化物和六聚氰的二价或三价化合物的毒性作用也是一个非常重要的问题。
因此,本发明的目的在于提供一种能够以基本的化学方程式解决上述问题,也能够进一步缩短所需的整个烫发时间的一步烫发液,它还能使头发卷曲的持久性得到足够的改善。
本发明的一步烫发液由下列成分组成(以重量计):
巯基乙酸:2.5~3.5%;
28%的氨水:1.0~4.0%;
苛性苏打或苛性钾:0.045~0.075%,更可取的是0.06~0.07%;
单乙醇胺,二乙醇胺或三乙醇胺:0.03~0.06%;
酒石酸或柠檬酸:0.1~0.2%;
乙醇:0.6~3.0%
其余为蒸馏水
上述溶液的碱度调整到不超过3.0,最好在1.0~2.5的范围内。
进而,在添加物不会对本发明人所指烫发液所能达到的目的起相反作用的情况下,可以任意有选择性地添加香料和颜料一类的物质。
本发明的烫发液可以按照与常规的一步式烫发液实际上相似的方法使用。
但是,就本发明的烫发液来说,用罩子罩住烫发者的头所需时间缩短至10分钟。如果在此期间用大约40℃的热空气或蒸气或红外辐射器在罩子外面加热7到8分钟,那么烫发的效果就会得到改善。然后,冲洗盘绕在棒针上的头发,间隔几分钟以后,从头发上去掉棒针,再用水冲洗头发。经过这样使用发明的烫发液,任何烫发者的头发都可以得到安全和无毒害的永久卷曲。
常规的烫发液,不管是一步式还是两步式,都含有大量的碱,以至于烫发液的碱度高达3.5至7,有时达到6至7。这是因为相当错误地认为,为了通过还原打断胱氨酸中的硫键和通过氧化恢复硫键,头发的隆起是必要的和有效的。
基于这种错误的考虑,在日本,烫发液也在高碱度水平。例如,1968年6月10日的日本厚生省280号通知指出一步烫发液的碱度(即中和1毫升的该溶液所需的0.1N的盐酸的毫升数)应在3.5~4.6的范围内。
为了达到这种要求,一步烫发液将不得不会有不少于0.08%(重量)的苛性碱和相应数量的氨水。通过单独使用氨水来增加碱度的打算能导致损害头发尖,并且氨具有强烈的气味,因此是不现实的。如果用碱性碳酸盐代替氨,则导致如前所述的氰化物的形成。如果为了取代氨而增加有机胺,则导致烫发质量的下降。
为了克服这些缺点,发明人做了许多研究工作,且获得了一些新的知识,即烫发液所含的碱并不完全有必要为上面所定的那么大的量,只需0.045~0.075%(以重量计),更好在0.06~0.07(以重量),使得烫发液的碱度不超过3.0。本发明人也发现在后一种情况下,烫发效果得到明显改善。
因此,在本发明的烫发液中,苛性碱的浓度范围的上限定在0.075%
(重量),它比以前的浓度范围的下限0.08%还低,且烫发液的碱度也减少到3.0以下的水平。发明人在上面提到碱度最好在1.0~2.5的范围内,在进行大量实验之后和在通过溶液的碱度这样限定的基础上,完全可能达到预期的烫发效果,如在不分解头发中的胱氨酸的情况下保证头发永久卷曲的长期有效。所用各成分的含量被限制在上面所提到的范围内,以便按各成分的组合能够达到最佳效果。
巯基乙酸已被选择作为通常所用的硫代乙醇酸铵的替代物,因为高纯度的前者比后者更容易得到,因此,前者的含量能够很容易地控制在上面所说的很窄范围内。
本发明的烫发液很容易掌握,因此,任何人都可以掌握,且安全地达到明显延长头发的卷曲的效果。实际上,本发明最重量的特征之一就是本发明的烫发液具有明显改善头发卷曲的持久性的能力,从而使头发卷曲延长达六个月之久。而使用常规烫发液从未使卷曲时间达到六个月。
通过提供延长卷曲期所达到的这种有利效果可以通过在烫发者的头被罩子罩住的10分钟内对头发轻微加热(至大约40℃)7~8分钟而得到进一步的改善。如果头发就这样随热空气而升温,就可能缩短电烫头发所需的10~20分钟的整个时间。与本发明相对照,当使用具有高碱度的常规烫发液时,即使头发未被加热,头发的质量和头皮也能够被碱所伤害,因此为了防止进一步的伤害,应避免加热头发。另一方面,本发明的烫发液的碱度水平要比常规烫发液的低得多,从而具有在不伤害头发的质量和头皮的情况下,按照新的烫发理论对头发实施永久卷曲的能力。因此,使用本发明的烫发液,任何人都可以很容易且安全地使得其所烫头发具有光泽且持续6个月之久。
按照本发明,可以在不引起产生上面所提到的强毒性污染物氰的情况下有效地完成电烫头发。本发明的这一特征不仅具有大大改进美容店中工作人员的工作环境的优点,而且还能够防止污染物伤害顾客的危险。本发
明的烫发效果是如此显著,因此,使用比常规棒针直径大2毫米的棒针可以使头发达到与其相同的卷曲。进而,由于本发明的烫发液中含有乙醇,就可能适当的除去从常规的烫发液的残余物中产生且保留在头发的表面上的硫氰化合物(thiocyanes),通过乙醇的作用,就可使永久卷曲的头发更加光滑和具有光泽。
本发明的烫发液能够适当的用于所谓的“铁-电烫”。将烫发液涂在头发上,且头发在被罩住约10分钟的情况下轻微加热几分钟。然后,用一种比通常用法相对要低的温度的卷夹夹住头发,且用水洗。这样,头发就被卷夹所卷曲。使用常规烫发液进行铁-电烫带来的头发烤焦必然导致头发的变硬和损伤。而使用本发明的烫发液时,这些问题都得到解决。
应该附带地指出,作为本发明的烫发液的安全性的一个证据就是,通过对大量的烫发者使用该烫发液后发现它的第二个效果就是促进头发的生长。因此,我们发现本发明的烫发液能够对美容术和卫生学的发展作出明显的贡献。
实例:
将下列各成分按各自的量(重量份)倒入纯水中,且将各成分和水搅拌成溶液,就得到了本发明所指的烫发液A和B。

将从未进行过电烫的头发样品盘绕在直径为2毫米的棒针上,同时涂上烫发液A或B,经橡皮圈固定后,再用烫发液A或B涂盖。在头发样品被盘绕20分钟过后,将其用聚乙烯薄膜覆盖,且将这种覆盖状态维持10分钟。在此期间一些头发样品用40℃的热空气通过薄膜加热7~8分钟。去掉薄膜后,所有盘绕的头发样品用热水冲洗,且在大约10分钟之后从头发上去掉棒针。然后用毛巾将头发轻轻擦干。接着,经过24小时的自然干燥后,为了检测电烫卷发环直径的放大率,将头发样品在40℃的热水中浸泡1分钟。
为了比较,采用具有下面所示化学组成的常规一步烫发液进行烫发,且将得到的头发样品用与上面同样的方式进行测试。

实例中所进行的热水浸泡实验是本发明人所建立的一种测定电烫头发卷曲的持久性的简便测试方法。特别是,该测试是在头发自然干燥24小时后,通过测定在热水中浸泡1分钟然后取出的发环的放大程度从而估计长期使用的电烫卷发的持久性而完成的。
还有,采用本发明的烫发液和作为对比的常规烫发液都进行过电烫实验,这两种烫发液都具有上面所提到的化学组成。这次实验是在正在长发的妇女头上进行的。就本发明的烫发液来说,使用它所得到的永久卷发即使是在高温下用罩子罩住妇女的头10分钟的条件下进行也能维持4~5个月,当头发加热时,其有效期为6个月。另一方面,所有使用对照的烫发液的妇女的永久卷发仅能维持大约3个月。
Claims (3)
1、一种一步烫发液,其基本组成如下(按重量计)
巯基乙酸:2.5~3.5%;
28%的氨水:1.0~4.0%;
苛性苏打或苛性钾:0.045~0.075%;
单乙醇胺、二乙醇胺或三乙醇胺:0.03~0.06%;
酒石酸或柠檬酸:0.1~0.2%;
乙醇:0.6~3.0%
其余部分为蒸馏水。该溶液的碱度(中和1毫升该溶液所需要的0.1N-HCl的毫升数)调整到不大于3.0。
2、如权利要求1所述的一步烫发液,其中所说的苛性苏打或苛性钾的重量百分含量为0.06~0.07%。
3、如权利要求1所述的烫发液,其中所说溶液的碱度被调整到1.0~2.5的范围内。
