技术领域
本发明涉及一种在检测到有抽吸力作用于香烟上时对烟草进行加热的电气吸烟系统。
背景技术
在已经公知的传统技术中,随着烟草的燃烧,被点燃的香烟会将味道和气味传输给使用者。在喷烟过程中,当利用超过800℃的燃烧温度对传统的香烟进行加热时,大量可燃性材料(主要是烟草)就会发生氧化。通过对香烟的嘴端进行抽吸,热量就会通过邻近的大量烟草被吸出。在该加热过程中,燃烧材料会产生不充分的氧化反应并产生多种馏分和热解产物。由于这些产物将通过吸烟装置的主体被吸入吸烟者的口腔内,因此,这些产物就会通过冷却和冷凝形成气溶胶,而这种气溶胶会在吸烟的过程中向使用者提供味道和气味。传统的点燃式香烟会在介于喷烟之间的熏烧过程中产生侧流,这样就会令某些不吸烟者感到不舒服。而且,一旦被点燃,那么传统的点燃式香烟必须被完全吸完或被扔掉。
已经被一起转让的美国专利5388594公开了一种电气吸烟系统,该系统包括多个新型电动点火器和多根适合与这些点火器相配合的香烟,该专利作为参考而被引入到本文中。该点火器包括多个金属加热器,这些加热器被设置成能够以可滑动的方式容纳香烟杆部分的结构形式。这种吸烟系统的其中一个优点就在于这种点火器可反复用于多根香烟上。例如在美国专利5388594中公开的电气吸烟系统中,其中的一个主要目的就在于使吸烟的感觉尽可能接近于在抽吸传统香烟时所能体验到的感觉。其中一些感觉包括:吸烟者在从香烟内吸入烟雾时所体验到的抽吸阻力(RTD),从吸烟者开始吸烟到吸烟者在吸烟过程中第一次感觉到味道和芳香所经历的时间长度。
传统香烟的RTD就是迫使空气以每秒17.5毫升的速度从标准香烟的整个长度流过所需的压力。RTD通常被表示成若干英寸或若干毫米水柱。吸烟者在吸用传统香烟的过程中会知道:RTD过小或过大都会降低吸烟的乐趣。很多中等流量的传统香烟其RTD一般落入约100至130毫米水柱的范围内。
在如美国专利5388594和5692525所示的吸烟系统中,在电气吸烟系统中达到所需的RTD是一件非常复杂的工作,因为在穿过香烟将空气吸出之前,首先要穿过香烟点火器内的通道将空气吸入。这些系统的香烟过滤嘴最好是流通型和/或颗粒率较低的过滤嘴,目的是减小所产生的烟气的损失。这种过滤嘴产生非常小的压降,因此不会产生很大的RTD。这样,在前的技术方案就包括主要在电气吸烟系统的点火器部分内产生RTD(或压降),例如,在已经一起被转让的美国专利5954979(该文件作为参考被引入到本文中)中给出的启示一样,在靠近点火器的空气进入部分的位置上设置一个环形釉料(多孔体)。由于随着收缩部分的尺寸变化,压降会在很大范围内发生变化,因此,已经发现:必须十分小心地将设置在点火器主体内的釉料或其它形式的微流量收缩部分制造成形。这样,就会增加成本并导致其它加工和质量问题。此外,小流量通道易于堵塞,尤其是在点火器中,因为在完成喷烟后,所有的烟雾都将逗留在点火器内。
此外,随着喷烟的进行,用来利用一个或多个加热器元件对部分香烟进行电加热的快速响应时间也是一个所需的特征。为能够得到与传统香烟相同的感受,对香烟的加热最好与喷烟循环的开始同时进行。但是,检测系统一般在开始喷烟循环与利用一个或多个加热器对香烟进行加热之间存在一定的延迟时间。
电气吸烟系统中的加热装置,例如在美国专利5388594和5878752(这些专利文件作为参考被本文所引用)中示出的那种加热装置,包括多个沿径向间隔分布的加热片,这些加热片受到支撑并从一个毂盘伸出,而且还可在电路的控制下被电源分别驱动,这样就能够对设置在已插装到位的香烟之周边周围的多个不连续加热区域进行加热。最好设置八个加热片,这样就能够与传统的香烟一样,形成八股烟雾,但也可以设置更多或更少的加热片。
电气吸烟系统中的电路可被一个对喷烟敏感的传感器来激励,这种传感器对在吸烟者吸烟时所产生的压降很敏感。由于吸烟者在吸烟时产生了压力变化,因此喷烟传感器将使一个合适的吸烟加热器或加热片进入工作状态。当检测到存在压降时而启动吸烟操作的传感器需要在香烟上存在一定的RTD,而该RTD高于吸烟者在吸用传统香烟时的RTD。该电气吸烟系统最好提供一个尽可能接近传统香烟的RTD,同时还要避免由于除了吸烟外的其它因素而产生的振动或因空气从该系统流过而出现错误信号和使加热片意外动作,例如在吸烟系统移动时或者有空气从吸烟系统流过时就可能出现上述情况。
发明内容
依据本发明,提供一种电热吸烟系统,其包括:外壳;多个加热元件,这些加热元件设置在所述外壳内并适合于将香烟的一部分容纳于这些加热元件之间;电源,该电源向所述加热元件提供能量,以用于对香烟进行加热;总管部件,该总管部件限定了一个喷烟检测腔体,该喷烟检测腔体在香烟的过滤器部分处将香烟的一部分包围起来,所述喷烟检测腔体通过多个在所述香烟的所述过滤器部分内的开口与香烟的内部流体连通;以及定位成与所述喷烟检测腔体流体连通的喷烟传感器,所述喷烟传感器检测由于吸烟者对香烟喷烟而在所述喷烟检测腔体内产生的压降。

具体实施方式
根据本发明一个实施例的电热吸烟系统包括一个加热器单元,该单元设置有多个加热元件,这些加热元件可将热量施加到支撑在加热器单元内的香烟的多个部分上。该加热器单元限定了吸入气流通道的至少一部分,当吸烟者吸烟时,周围的空气可通过该吸入气流通道被吸入到能够与香烟相接触的位置上。一个隔板使加热器单元相对外壳定位,而且至少局部限定了一个与位于外壳周围的大气保持流体连通的气流旁通通道。该隔板还限定了一个通向吸入气流通道的气流转向通道,当吸烟者喷烟时,周围的空气可经过该气流转向通道由气流旁通通道吸入。
设置一个与周围大气流体连通的气流旁通通道、一个导向吸入气流通道并可将空气从气流旁通通道吸入的气流转向通道可以确保:仅当吸烟者吸烟时,设置在气流转向通道或吸入气流通道内的传感器才能启动。位于外壳内并由外壳限定而成的气流通道、加热器单元及使加热器单元相对外壳定位的隔板可提高该电热吸烟装置的可制造性。这种结构设置形成了一个可以安装传感器的通道,而且还可以在吸烟者吸烟以外的时间内将流过该装置的体外大气充分隔开。将传感器设置在仅在空气至少已经相对气流旁通通道转向后才可进入的气流转向通道或吸入气流通道内就可以减少错误信号,因为当吸烟者对已经被插装到吸烟装置内的吸烟进行抽吸时,空气才会流过吸入气流通道。在气流转向通道内最好采用一个流量传感器,因为该传感器能够在吸烟者开始吸烟时就能够检测到流量,从而使响应时间非常接近于在吸用传统的香烟时所经历的响应时间。
根据本发明另一实施例的电热吸烟装置包括:一个外壳、多个设置在该外壳内并适合于将部分吸烟容纳于其中的加热元件、一个向加热元件供给能量、从而对香烟进行加热的电源及一个歧管(总管),该歧管限定了一个喷烟检测腔体,该腔体包围着香烟的一部分并位于香烟的过滤嘴部分上。该腔体提供多个设置在香烟过滤嘴部分周围的穿孔或孔与香烟的内部流体连通,这样,就可以将一个压力传感器设置在与该腔体流体连通的位置上,从而当吸烟者吸烟时就能够检测到吸烟上的压降。
在该实施例中,设置有一个用于电热吸烟装置上的独立而特别的喷烟检测腔体,该腔体可抵靠在香烟的一部分上。该独立的检测腔体可位于一个指向能够将一特殊点或区域抵靠在香烟上的位置上,或者,该独立的检测腔体也可以包围在香烟的外周上。该检测腔体可位于通向压力传感器开关或被该压力传感器开关所占用的另一位置上,其中压力传感器开关能够对检测腔体内的负压变化进行检测。该检测腔体可与电热吸烟装置相连接,或者被制造成该电气吸烟装置的一个独立部分或腔体。对于香烟而言,检测腔体所抵靠的那部分香烟可包括多个开口、孔洞或通孔,这样,就可以更加容易和直接地检测到在喷烟过程中产生的可抽吸产品内的压力变化。在可通过点燃而进行抽吸的产品中可以预先设置多个开口、孔洞或通孔,或者,也可以一个包括在该电气吸烟装置中的穿孔工具加工出这些开口、孔洞或通孔。
检测腔体可被固定到该电热吸烟系统的点火器部分的一个外表面上,而且可包括一个环形通道,该环形通道形成了一个腔体,该腔体至少包围着吸烟的部分外周。在这种情况下,当香烟定位在吸烟系统的点火器部分内时,该通道可定位在香烟的过滤嘴端处。
在一种变形结构中,该检测腔体可以为圆筒形,其中心轴线平行于细长形香烟杆的中心轴线进行定位。该检测腔体可设置在一个圆筒形的总管部件内,该总管能够与点火器的一端相配合并连接在一起,从而当将香烟插入到该总管部件并插入到点火器内时,香烟的过滤嘴端被检测腔体所包围,而该检测腔体又在总管部件内限定而成。该总管部件还可以与点火器一体制成。设置在总管部件内的通道可被设计成能够将位于吸烟装置或点火器周围的大气引向设置在点火器内的内部通道的结构形式,其中这些内部通道导向位于香烟的烟草部分周围的点火器的加热器部分。
在现有的技术条件下,真空检测传感器能够对位于加热器部件内的香烟的烟草部分周围的喷烟负压进行检测。该加热器在空气入口通道内有一个限制性部件,当吸烟者对着香烟喷烟时,在该空气通道内就会产生压降。为了能够使该吸烟系统的RTD更加接近于传统的香烟,在本发明的该实施例中,最好去掉该限制性部件,而且全部RTD均在香烟中。这样,在加热器腔体内就不会检测到压降。
设置在香烟过滤器端周围的总管部件基本上没有约束地通过内部通道将周围的空气流引向加热器,同时提供一个由喷烟传感器(真空传感器)通向喷烟检测腔体的独立通道,其中喷烟检测腔体位于香烟的过滤器端周围。由于在香烟内仍然产生了负压或压降,因此根据本发明该实施例的结构可用于对在香烟内产生的压降进行检测,其中在香烟附近的压降最大。这种结构设置能够使点火器更加迅速地作出响应和/或降低真空传感器系统所需的精密度。这样,就能够采用现有的真空检测技术。
用于检测流量或压降的传感器最好是一种经过微电子技术加工出来的部件,该部件可装配在一个非常小的空间内,这样,该吸烟装置的总体积就能够保持很小,而且传感器也可以消耗少量的功率,同时当吸烟者吸烟时,能够提供非常迅速的响应时间,这样,就可以产生流量变化或压力变化。电热吸烟装置包括多个电子元件,当接收到来自传感器的信号时,这些电子元件能够促使加热器片进入工作状态。
根据本发明一个实施例的电热吸烟装置200在图1中以装配好的状态被示出,在图2中以部件分解图的形式被示出。整个电热吸烟装置200包括一个上部加热器外壳封帽20、一个前部壳体22和左右电池外壳部分26、24。如部件分解图2所示,加热器单元30定位在加热器外壳封帽20的下方,而且加热器单元30被装配在一个隔板40的内部,其中该隔板40使加热器单元相对该吸烟装置的前部壳体22定位。一个位于加热器外壳封帽20之顶部的开口18允许将香烟插入到加热器单元30的顶部开口30a内。当将香烟插入到开口18和加热器单元30的开口30a内时,香烟就会定位在多个加热器片(未示出)附近,这些加热器片设置在香烟的周围。每当对香烟喷烟时,加热器片就会顺序起动,而且穿过加热器片的电流会使加热器片的温度充分升高,从而使烟草产生热解,而烟草一般至少被容纳在香烟的一个层中,该层被叫做“垫”层,该垫层恰好位于香烟外部纸层的内侧,如已经一同被转让的美国专利5388594、5878752和5934289所示,这些专利文件作为参考被本文所引用。加热器片与香烟的外部纸层相接触,而且热量足以使位于香烟外部纸层内侧的垫层中的烟草及容纳在位于垫层内侧的烟草块中的其它烟草产生热解。
一个印刷电路板60定位在隔板40与前部壳体22之间,而且可包括一个液晶显示器,该液晶显示器可以向吸烟者显示信息,例如电池的电量和已经被插装到加热器30内的香烟的剩余喷烟数。印刷电路板60还能够安装用于在接收到来自传感器的信号时对位于加热器30内的加热片进行驱动的所需电子元件,而且传感器也可以安装在该印刷电路板上。如图1所示,穿过加热器外壳封帽20的狭槽23、25形成了多条用于在香烟定位在开口18内时使周围的空气进入到该吸烟装置内的通道。
如图2所示,具体如图4所示,隔板40还限定了一个周向沟槽42或气流旁通通道,当该香烟装置被装配好时,该沟槽或气流旁通通道与狭槽23、25对准。
加热器单元的连接器56定位在加热器单元30的下方,加热器单元30位于内部壳体部件52、54内,该连接器在安装于加热器单元30内的加热片与电源之间形成了导电连接,其中电源例如可以是容纳在电池外壳部分24、26内的电池。图4至7示出了隔板40被安装在加热器单元的连接器56内,但通常安装在隔板40内的加热器30则没有示出。
香烟装置200周围的大气可自由流入由周向沟槽42形成的气流旁通通道并流入外部狭槽23、25内和从这些狭槽中流出,例如当一根香烟被容纳在该香烟装置中,而且该装置正在移动过程中,但吸烟者没有对香烟喷烟时。
当将一根香烟插入到加热器壳体封帽20的开口18和加热器30的开口30a内,而且吸烟者对香烟进行抽吸时,就会产生吸力,该吸力将大气从周向气流旁通通道42吸入到气流转向通道44内,该气流转向通道要求空气将周向流动改为沿轴向和径向向里的方向流动,如图4、5和7所示,其中气流由箭头“A”表示。由于吸烟者对香烟进行抽吸而产生的压降使空气从气流旁通通道42流入气流转向通道44内并进入到吸气通道32内,如图3A和3B所示,该吸气通道由设置在加热器单元30外侧的周向沟槽和隔板40的内周面构成。被吸入到吸气通道32内的空气可穿过位于周向沟槽32相对两端的径向孔34a、34b并与已经放置在加热器30内的香烟相接触。空气从气流旁通通道42移动到气流转向通道44所必须遵循的方向改变可确保:仅当由于吸烟者对容纳在香烟装置中的香烟进行抽吸而产生吸力时,空气才能沿该路线流动。穿过该吸烟装置的流动通道的其它替代结构可包括T形折流板,该折流板仅在吸烟者对香烟喷烟时才将周围空气引导到能够与香烟相接触的位置上。
一个传感器,例如经过微电子技术加工成形的流量传感器,可被放置在气流转向通道44内并被安装到印刷电路板60上。该传感器最好是一种能够对流过气流转向通道44的所有空气流量进行检测的流量传感器。例如,能够在气流转向通道内检测到吸烟者在喷烟的传感器可以是一种双热力式风速计,该风速计可利用微电子加工技术制造而成。双热力式风速计是基于差动电压、差动电流、电阻差或温差进行操作的。从该部件流过的气流会使对设置于该部件中的两个电子元件的加热产生差别,这种差别又会在这些元件之间产生电压差、电流差、电阻差或温差。设置在双热力式风速计中的元件可以利用一个独立的加热元件进行间接加热,该加热元件一般被设置在多个检测元件之间并非常接近这些检测元件。其它的流量传感器可包括叶轮式风速计,该风速计设置有一个能够计算出叶轮转数并输出一个脉冲序列的接近开关,其中脉冲序列可被测量仪器转换成流速。叶轮式风速计的实例包括桨轮式风速计、转杯风速计或螺旋桨式风速计。利用微电子加工技术制成的流量传感器可以具有非常小的尺寸,这样就可以减小整个吸烟系统的体积并提高传感器的响应时间。能够检测流量的传感器,例如通过微电子加工技术制成的风速计,是最佳的选择,因为它不需要对压差进行检测,因此,当吸烟者对安装在该吸烟装置中的香烟喷烟时,就能够使该吸烟装置的抽吸阻力保持很低。通过微电子技术制成的流量传感器还可以提供一个非常迅速的响应时间,这样,从对喷烟进行检测到对安装在该装置内的香烟进行加热所经历的时间就可以缩短到一定的水平,在该水平条件下,就可以从口味上接近于吸烟者在对传统香烟进行喷烟时所体验到的感觉。通过微电子技术制成的流量传感器还能够减小吸烟装置的体积,因为安装有这种传感器的气流转向通道的尺寸可以非常小。
将从对香烟喷烟进行检测到对安装在该装置内的香烟进行加热所经历的时间缩短的另一优点在于可以延长喷烟过程的时间,其中在喷烟过程中,烟草制品受到热量的作用。这样,对于一个普通吸烟者对香烟喷烟所经历的给定时间而言,大部分时间包括对烟草制品进行加热、最终产生气溶胶,以及产生颗粒物质,这样就可以形成吸烟者所需的口味和香味。
在图示的实施例中,在空气从设置在隔板40外侧周围的气流旁通通道42沿轴向向下转向并沿径向向里的方向流经气流转向通道44后,将到达通向香烟的吸气通道32。本领域的普通技术人员应该知道:流动通道的具体结构设置可根据吸烟装置内的各个部件的结构不同而变化。基本要求就是:要将安装有流量传感器的通道与气流旁通通道隔开,其中气流旁通通道通过某种气流转向通道或机械式折流板与外部大气直接联通,这样就可以保证:当吸烟者对容纳在该吸烟装置内的香烟进行抽吸时,空气仅会流经吸气通道。由于具有这种结构,因此,就可以避免出现由该装置的移动而产生的错误信号,而且不再需要用于将这些错误信号过滤掉的电路。
如图8所示,在另一种电热吸烟系统的实施例中,喷烟检测腔体132可被限定为一个设置在总管140内的环形沟槽,该总管的中心轴线平行于香烟15的中心轴线。该圆筒形总管部件140可与点火器300的一端相配合并连接在一起,从而当穿过总管部件140将香烟插入到点火器300内时,香烟的过滤器端被设置在总管部件140内的喷烟检测腔体132所包围。该总管部件还可与点火器一体制成。
与喷烟检测腔体132邻接的香烟部分15可包括多个开口、孔洞或通孔17,以能够更加容易地直接对在喷烟过程中在香烟内产生的压力变化进行检测,其中喷烟检测腔体132设置在总管部件140内。开口17可预先设置在香烟15上,或者可由包括在该电气吸烟装置中的穿孔工具来形成。位于香烟15之过滤器端的总管部件140还可包括多条通道,这些通道能够基本上以无约束的方式将周围空气引向设置在点火器300内的内部通道,而这些内部通道又通向加热器元件130,加热器元件130与缠绕在香烟15的烟草部分上的香烟纸相接触。一个独立的通道131由喷烟传感器146(真空传感器)通向位于香烟过滤器端周围的喷烟检测腔体132。由于在香烟内仍然形成了负压,因此根据本发明该实施例的结构能够检测到在香烟内产生的负压,而且该负压位于最大值附近。这种结构能够使点火器作出更迅速的响应和/或降低负压传感器系统所需的精密度。
尽管已经接合上述的示例性实施例对本发明作出了说明,但是很显然:本领域的技术人员仍然可以对其作出替换、修改和变形。因此,本发明的示例性实施例及其变形和修改仍然落入由所附权利要求书限定的保护范围内。
Claims (5)
1.一种电热吸烟系统,其包括:
外壳;
多个加热元件,这些加热元件设置在所述外壳内并适合于将香烟的一部分容纳于所述多个加热元件之间;
电源,该电源向所述加热元件提供能量,以用于对香烟进行加热;
总管部件,该总管部件限定了一个喷烟检测腔体,该喷烟检测腔体在香烟的过滤器部分处将香烟的一部分包围起来,所述喷烟检测腔体通过多个在所述香烟的所述过滤器部分内的开口与香烟的内部流体连通;以及
定位成与所述喷烟检测腔体流体连通的喷烟传感器,所述喷烟传感器检测由于吸烟者对香烟喷烟而在所述喷烟检测腔体内产生的压降。
2.根据权利要求1的电热吸烟系统,其特征在于:当接收到一个来自所述喷烟传感器的信号时,所述电源向所述加热元件供给能量。
3.根据权利要求2的电热吸烟系统,其特征在于:所述喷烟传感器是一种通过微电子技术加工而成的传感器。
4.根据权利要求3的电热吸烟系统,其特征在于:所述总管部件与所述外壳一体制成。
5.根据权利要求3的电热吸烟系统,其特征在于:所述喷烟传感器是一种压差传感器。
