Abstract

Description

安装到小轮廓板的连接器
技术领域
本发明涉及一种可安装到电气仪器或类似仪器的电路板上的电连接器。具体地,本发明涉及一种安装在电路板上并被设置在电路板内所形成的凹槽内的电连接器。
背景技术
为了降低安装到电路板上的电连接器的高度,凹槽或开口形成于电路板内,尤其形成于电路板的边缘上,电连接器被设置在凹槽内。例如,美国专利5,702,271、美国专利7,182,610或日本专利2004-327244A公开了上述电连接器,所述专利中的每一个在此整体并入本文供参考。具体地,日本专利2004-327244A的电连接器的外壳在电连接器的相对侧面上有两个固定部或两个翼状部;固定部被焊接到电路板的上表面,使得电连接器被固定到电路板上。
然而,日本专利2004-327244A的电连接器所具有的问题是该电连接器的外壳由于与该电连接器相配合的连接器的意外运动而可能变形。因此,需要一种具有比日本专利2004-327244A的电连接器更好的抗变形结构的电连接器。
发明内容
根据本发明的一个方面,一种可安装到电路板的电连接器包括触针(contact pin)、保持触针的壳体以及至少部分覆盖壳体的外壳。外壳包括第一板状部、第二板状部和连接部。第一板状部在预定方向上延伸,并在预定方向上的该第一板状部的相对端部设有固定部。固定部被固定到电路板上。第二板状部在预定方向上延伸。连接部中的每一个连接第一和第二板状部。第二板状部在预定方向上的该第二板状部的相对端部处设有力抵抗部。力抵抗部被构成为使得当力沿着从第一板状部朝向第二板状部的方向被施加到电连接器上时,力抵抗部抵抗该力。

虽然本发明容许具有各种修改和可供选择的形式,然而本发明的特定实施例通过附图中的实例被示出并将在此详细说明。然而,应该理解的是该实例的附图和详细说明不意味着将本发明限制到所公开的特定形式,相反,其目的是覆盖落入由所附权利要求限定的本发明的本质和范围内的所有修改、等效形式和可选形式。
优选实施方式
参照图1到图4,根据本发明实施例的电连接器1可安装到电路板2。如图1和图2所示,在电路板2的边缘处,电路板2形成有凹槽3。如图3所示,当电连接器1被安装到电路板2时,电连接器1被设置在凹槽3内。
所述电连接器1和未示出的电缆连接器组成板-电缆连接器组件,其中电缆连接器为电子连接器1的配合连接器,并且用于穿过电连接器1将电缆连接到电路板2的导电图案。
参照图1和图2,电连接器1包括信号触点11、接地触点12、壳体20和外壳30。
所述壳体20由诸如树脂的非导电材料制成。如图1所示,壳体20在电连接器1的配合端部具有开口,在该配合端部处,电连接器1与配合连接器相配合。如图2所示,壳体20还形成有孔21和孔22。信号触点11被分别插入孔21内,使得壳体20保持信号触点11。接地触点12被分别插入孔22内,使得壳体20保持接地触点12。
所述外壳30通过冲压导电模板并随后弯曲冲压板而形成。外壳30包括上部板状部31、下部板状部32和两个连接部34且具有配合开口33。配合开口33对应于壳体20的开口,并用于在该配合开口内接收并容纳配合连接器的配合部。连接部34在配合端部将上部板状部31和下部板状部32连接起来,使得配合开口33在电连接器1的纵向上被定位在连接部34之间。
参照图1到图4,在电连接器1的纵向上,电连接器1在其相对端部设有导向部40。配合连接器设有导向部。当配合连接器与电连接器1相配合时,所述导向部分别进入导向部40内。
参照图3到图4,导向部40中的每一个均包括上导向部41、下导向部42和导向壁43。本实施例的上导向部41在纵向上作为上部板状部31的端部部分而被形成。本实施例的下导向部42在纵向上作为下部板状部32的端部部分而被形成。如图3所示,导向壁43形成有接合孔43a。另一方面,配合连接器的导向部设有接合部。当电连接器与配合连接器相配合时,接合孔43a与接合部相接合,以保持电连接器1和配合连接器的配合状态。
如图1至图4所示,上部板状部31设有固定部50,固定部50被固定到电路板2,并在纵向上被定位在上导向部41的外端部。固定部50中的每一个均包括第一部51到第三部53。第一部51从上导向部41的边缘向下延伸。第二部52在纵向上从第一部51水平向外延伸。第三部53从第二部52向上延伸。第二部52被焊接到电路板2上,使得上部板状部31被固定到电路板2。
下部板状部32设有力抵抗部60,力抵抗部60被构成为使得当向下的力被施加给电连接器1时,力抵抗部60抵抗所述向下的力。在本实施例中,力抵抗部60在纵向上被定位在下导向部42的外端部。力抵抗部60中的每一个均包括部分61和悬挂部62。部分61从下导向部42向上延伸。悬挂部62在纵向上从部分61水平向外延伸。
当电连接器1被安装到电路板2时,所述悬挂部62倚靠在电路板2上,使得悬挂部62从电路板2悬挂下部板状部32。悬挂部62可被焊接到电路板2上。
在本实施例中,固定部50的第二部52和悬挂部62被放置在电路板2的上表面上,即,彼此都是在电路板2的相同表面上。此外,悬挂部62的边缘63在纵向上被定位在固定部50的第一部51内。
由于上述结构,即使向下的力被施加到电连接器1上,下部板状部32也可以抵抗所述向下的力。
在本实施例中,当电连接器1被固定到电路板2上时,悬挂部62被设计成使得悬挂部62倚靠在电路板2上。然而,本发明不只限于此。悬挂部62可被设计成使得,当电连接器被安装到电路板2上时,悬挂部62被定位在电路板2的上方,而当向下的力被施加到电连接器1上时,悬挂部62与电路板2接触,使得悬挂部62自电路板2悬挂下部板状部32。
固定部50的第二部52和悬挂部62可彼此被放置在电路板2的不同表面上。例如,第二部52可被定位在电路板2的上表面上,而悬挂部62可被定位在电路板2的下表面上。在这种情况下,悬挂部62被焊接到电路板2的下表面。
固定部50和力抵抗部60可具有各种形状和/或可以以不同于上述实施例的方式布置。例如,固定部50可设有在第一部51和第二部52内连续形成的开口。在这种情况下,悬挂部62可具有可定位在固定部50的开口内的特定的形状,例如,突起状。

Claims (3)

1.一种能够安装到电路板的电连接器,包括:
触针;
保持所述触针的壳体;以及
至少部分覆盖所述壳体的外壳,所述外壳包括第一板状部、第二板状部和连接部,所述第一板状部在预定方向上延伸,并且所述第一板状部在所述预定方向上的该第一板状部的相对端部处设有固定部,所述固定部被固定到所述电路板上,所述第二板状部在所述预定方向上延伸,所述连接部中的每一个连接所述第一板状部和所述第二板状部,所述第二板状部在所述预定方向上的该第二板状部的相对端部处设有力抵抗部,所述力抵抗部中的每一个都具有悬挂部,所述悬挂部在所述电连接器被安装到电路板上时定位在所述电路板的上方,所述力抵抗部被构成为使得,当力沿着从所述第一板状部朝向所述第二板状部的方向被施加到所述电连接器上时,所述力抵抗部抵抗所述力,所述固定部和所述力抵抗部在所述预定方向上彼此面对。
2.根据权利要求1所述的电连接器,所述电路板具有第一和第二表面,当所述电连接器被安装到所述电路板时,所述固定部被固定到所述第一表面上,其中,所述悬挂部被放置在所述电路板的所述第一表面的上方,并且当所述力被施加给所述电连接器时,所述悬挂部自所述电路板悬挂所述第二板状部。
3.根据权利要求1到2中的任一项权利要求所述的电连接器,所述电路板形成有凹槽,其中,当所述电连接器被安装到所述电路板上时,所述电连接器被设置在所述凹槽内。
