背景技术
当前的数字广播使用被称为只能复制一次(copy-once)的积累方法。只能复制一次还被称为“只允许复制一次(single copypermissible)”或“只允许复制一代(one generation copypermissible)”。利用该方法,在积累(记录)广播内容的时间点,完成“一次”或“一代”,并且所记录的内容变成“禁止复制的”内容。因此,在向外部记录介质输出广播内容的情况下,进行被称为“移动”的操作。也就是说,交换输出到外部记录介质,而删除所记录的原始内容。外部记录介质是记录有该广播内容的记录装置以外的其它记录区域或记录介质,并且外部记录介质不必为广播接收装置或从该记录装置外部设置的配置。

日本特开2005-158233号公报中公开了一种信息传送装置,其中,即使在随压缩而进行移动的情况下,也可以通过反向移动返回原始信息。
对原始内容进行本地加密,并且在登出时一起发送加密密钥。不能重放加密后的原始内容,但不删除它。在登入时,仅通过移动加密密钥,使得能够重放加密后的原始内容,而不能重放移动后的复制内容。
日本特开2006-004543号公报中公开了一种信息管理方法,该方法用于分离和管理许可证信息,以使得在将内容记录在视频记录器的HDD上时能够进行内容重放。在该方法中,通过将许可证信息和低比特率的内容数据及内容ID发送到便携式终端,可以虚拟地移动内容数据。
然而,利用日本特开2005-158233号公报中所公开的信息传送装置和日本特开2006-004543号公报中所公开的信息重放装置,一旦将内容输出到外部,在没有返回加密密钥的情况下,就不能重放所积累的内容。也就是说,如果用户将内容输出到外部,则在返回加密密钥之前,其它用户不能观看或收听该内容,从而导致不便。将来,便携式终端的功能的改进意味着进一步增大将积累在数字电视接收器中的内容复制到例如便携式终端,并在户外观看该内容的机会。
通过利用日本特开2003-132625号公报中所述的登入/登出的复制控制,不会发生上述不便,但是对于数字广播内容来说, 通常应用只能复制一次的限制。
因此,利用本发明,在将从数字广播等记录的具有只能复制一次限制的内容输出到外部装置的情况下,对该内容的输出格式进行管理。也就是说,本发明存储如何(即,利用何种分辨率或比特率)向某一记录区域或记录介质进行输出(登出)。然后,不改变加密后的原始内容本身,而根据输出格式对原始内容的重放设置限制。另外,通过返回(登入)输出内容,解除重放的限制。也就是说,利用本发明,即使在将视频内容输出到外部介质的情况下,也可以在对原始内容的重放质量有限制的情况下观看/收听该原始内容。
发明内容
为此,根据本发明的实施例的影像控制装置用于转换具有输入比特率的输入影像数据流的比特率,并以转换后的比特率输出影像数据流,该影像控制装置包括:存储单元,用于记录输入影像数据流;第一解码器,用于对输入影像数据流进行解码;编码器,用于以多个转换后的比特率对第一解码器的输出进行编码;输出单元,用于输出编码器以第一比特率编码的影像数据,以记录到记录介质;第二解码器,用于对编码器以第二比特率编码的相同影像数据进行解码;数字接口,用于将由第二解码器解码的影像数据输出至显示单元;以及控制单元,用于确定第二比特率,并控制存储单元继续存储输入影像数据流,以使得在将影像数据输出至记录介质之后以第二比特率读出影像数据,其中,基于第一比特率将第二比特率限制在预定值m Mbps以下,并且第一比特率和第二比特率的总和小于输入比特率,其中m为正数。
根据本发明的影像控制装置,即使在将内容输出到便携式终端等外部装置的情况下,也可以观看/收听对于原始内容的重放质量具有限制的原始内容,因此,可以进行在内容的输出源 和输出目的地两处的观看/收听。
根据本发明另一实施例的影像控制方法用于转换输入影像数据的比特率,并以转换后的比特率输出影像数据,所述方法包括以下步骤:将输入影像数据记录在存储单元中;对从存储单元读出的影像数据进行解码的第一解码;以第一比特率对第一解码中所解码的影像数据进行编码;输出在编码中以第一比特率编码的影像数据以记录到记录介质;确定第二比特率;以所确定的第二比特率对在第一解码中所解码的影像数据进行编码;对以第二比特率编码的影像数据再次进行解码的第二解码;将在第二解码中所解码的影像数据输出至显示单元;以及控制存储单元继续存储输入影像数据,以使得在将影像数据输出至记录介质之后以第二比特率读出影像数据,其中,基于第一比特率将第二比特率限制在预定值m Mbps以下,并且第一比特率和第二比特率的总和小于输入比特率,其中m为正数。
另外,在不完全复制相同内容的意义上来说,可以支持只能复制一次的限制。
通过以下参考附图对典型实施例的说明,本发明的其它特征将变得显而易见。

具体实施方式
参考附图说明本发明的实施例。首先,通过影像控制装置100说明正常重放操作。
调谐器1通过信号线L1从地面天线(未示出)或抛物面天线(未示出)接收地面数字信号。所接收到的信号通过带宽滤波器(bandwidth filter)和下行转换器(down-converter)等,然后通过信 号线L2,并被输出到解调单元2。此时,与进行同传送格式匹配的解调处理一起,进行错误校正处理等,并且通过信号线L3将期望的MPEG 2传输流(transport stream,TS)传送给解多路复用器(DEMUX)3。DEMUX3将来自TS的期望节目的影像数据和音频数据分离成附加信息。
通过信号线L4在解码器4中对分离后的影像数据进行解码,并将其转换成光栅扫描显示格式。此后,通过信号线L5将该数据作为节目影像源传送给下游分辨率转换单元7。
在分辨率转换单元7,例如在用于从YUV色差信号转换成RGB信号的矩阵电路或用于将扫描方法从交错(interlaced)转换成渐进(progressive)的IP转换电路中,进行预处理。CPU 20基于显示格式(显示行数、点数或色彩数)和预先设置的画面布局信息,设置分辨率转换参数(放大率、缩小率、以及用于放大/缩小的加权滤波器系数等)。基于这里所设置的分辨率转换参数进行放大/缩小/等倍(samc-sizc)处理。
将在分辨率转换单元中处理后的信号通过信号线L8发送给数字接口8。这里将影像数据转换成与显示单元9的分辨率相对应的格式,并通过信号线L9输出该影像数据。
通过下述的两个路径进行包括影像数据的广播内容(视频内容)的记录。
对于第一路径,利用第一解码器4对通过用DEMUX 3仅取出节目的想要的部分而获得的TS进行解码,并且进一步将利用第一编码器5再次编码的影像数据记录在存储装置(HDD)15中。对于第二路径,不经过第一解码器4,而将在DEMUX 3中以相同方式取出的TS存储在存储装置(HDD)15中。对于任一路径,影像数据都在经过本地加密单元12的加密后,通过信号线L19记录在存储装置15(HDD)中。在这种情况下,通过信号线L17 将用于加密的密钥保持在加密密钥集10中,还将利用某一加密密钥加密某一内容的关联信息存储在内容/加密密钥核对表1 4中。在记录情况下加密影像数据的原因如下。利用本发明,即使当将内容输出到外部时,仅对内容重放设置限制,而内容数据本身没有改变。因此,在没有加密而积累的情况下,用户可以自由地重放原始状态下的内容数据。
在正常重放的情况下,参考内容/加密密钥核对表14,并且从加密密钥集10中取出加密时所使用的密钥。本地解密单元11利用从HDD 15读取的影像数据的密钥对该影像数据的加密进行解密,并将影像数据输出到第一解码器4。然后利用第一解码器4对经过了加密的解密的影像信号进行解码,通过分辨率转换单元7和数字接口8将其输出到显示单元9,并显示为影像。还可以构造如下配置:将本地解密单元11和本地加密单元12在功能上集成为一个加密单元。
接着说明在将内容输出(登出)到外部介质时的操作和在从外部介质返回(登入)内容时的操作。
首先说明在登出本地加密并记录的内容的情况下的操作。假定该内容的原始比特率为24Mbps,并将其以300kbps的比特率输出给便携式终端。首先,用户将便携式终端的存储器插入第二外部介质接口19。通过遥控器接口22和L24将来自遥控器21的用户指示发送给CPU 20。CPU 20控制受到输出指示的内容的影像数据,以将该影像数据从HDD 15输出到本地解密单元11。CPU 20根据内容/加密密钥核对表14指定与受到输出指示的内容成对的加密密钥。从加密密钥集10中取出所指定的密钥。然后在第一解码器4中对使用该密钥在本地解密单元11中解密了加密的影像数据进行解码。利用第二编码器6对解码后的影像数据进行编码。当转换成期望的比特率(这里为300kbps)和针对 用作输出目的地的便携式终端的显示单元的适当分辨率时,将该数据写到用户插入的存储器中。此时,通过图3所示的输出内容管理表13管理与输出内容的比特率有关的信息。对于每一输出内容,记录以下信息:对于“某一记录介质(介质类型)”进行“某一比特率(输出比特率)”的输出。同样,在信息处理装置100进行重放的情况下,还记录根据输出比特率设置的“最大可播放比特率(可播放比特率)”。
输出内容管理表13所管理的信息可以是比特率以外的内容分辨率。为了识别输出介质,可以为每一介质分配唯一标识号,从而对它们进行管理。注意,可以构造以下配置:第二外部介质接口19是例如USB端口等通用输入/输出端口,可以将期望的存储器连接到该端口。
图2所示的流程图表示用于求可播放比特率的最大值的算法。(利用该算法,当以Mbps为单位表示比特率时,上舍入(roundup)任何小数点。例如,300kbps为0.3Mbps,因此进行上舍入并视为1Mbps。)从未输出过的内容的可播放比特率的最大值x(其中,x为正数)为原始比特率(在该例子中为24Mbps)。因此,图2的流程图从S0开始,首先进入S1,然后进入S3。接着,输出比特率为300kbps,但将其上舍入成1Mbps(仅在计算最大可播放比特率时进行该上舍入。当指示输出比特率为300kbps时,实际上不必以1Mbps进行输出),并且在S3的分支处流程进入S4。在S4的分支处,参考最大可播放比特率和输出比特率之差(最大-输出)的比特率的计算结果。在该例子中,24-1=23Mbps,因而流程进入S7,在S7,最大可播放比特率为15Mbps。注意,从24Mbps的内容输出300kbps的内容,然而最大可播放比特率不是23.7Mbps,而是下降到15Mbps。由于输出到外部的300kbps的量和比特率的下降,图像质量对于人眼来说有非常小的变化, 因此(尽管从严格意义来说这不是复制)从用户的角度看,这被认为是已经进行的复制。由于这极大地背离了只能复制一次的原则,因而算法被有目的地配置成对输出到外部的操作添加惩罚(penalty)。
也就是说,在输出内容比特率小于预定比特率k(Mbps)(其中,k为正数)的情况下,可以将最大可播放比特率设置为预定值m(Mbps)(其中,m为正数)。此时,基于原始内容比特率x(Mbps)设置k和m。具体地,从用户感觉到的下降的图像质量的角度看,保持0.1<k/x<0.3且0.5<m/x<0.8。
图3的表中示出内容/输出信息和相应的重放控制信息。另外,将输出比特率(第一比特率)和最大可播放比特率(第二比特率)的总和设置成小于原始内容比特率(输入影像数据的比特率)。
接着,在上述输出操作以后,说明将相同内容以4.6Mbps的比特率进一步输出给DVD的情况。首先,用户将可写DVD介质插入第一外部介质接口18。遥控器21指示CPU 20以4.6Mbps的比特率输出内容。CPU 20从内容/加密密钥核对表14中找出与指示输出的内容配对的加密密钥,并且从加密密钥集10中取出期望的加密密钥。本地解密单元11使用该密钥对内容数据的加密进行解密。通过信号线L5和L6将然后利用第一解码器4所解码的影像信号进一步发送给第一编码器5。这里,将信号转换成期望的比特率/分辨率,并通过信号线L13和第一外部介质接口18将其写到用户插入的DVD。
还根据图2的流程图说明计算最大可播放比特率。首先,输出到DVD前的最大可播放比特率为15Mbps,因而流程进入S3。输出4.6Mbps的输出,因而计算所用的值为5Mbps,并且流程从步骤S3进入S5。最大输出比特率为15-5=10Mbps,因而流程进 入S8。根据最大输出比特率的计算结果,流程从S8进入S12,并且最大可播放比特率变为5Mbps。因此,如图4所示对内容/输出信息和相应的重放控制信息表进行更新。
同样地,如果还以1.5Mbps和200kbps的比特率各自进行一次输出,则如图5所示对内容/输出信息和相应的重放控制信息表进行最终更新。
将说明在确定了最大可播放比特率后指示重放该内容的情况下的操作。如图1所示,在遥控器21对CPU 20进行重放指示的情况下,CPU 20参考输出内容管理表13以获得其内容的输出历史和最大可播放比特率。
在没有输出历史(即,最大比特率和原始比特率相同)的情况下,自然进行先前所述的正常重放操作。
在最大可播放比特率改变了的情况下,发送给第一解码器4以后的操作有所不同。由于最大比特率不同,因而在不改变到分辨率转换单元7的情况下,不输出第一解码器4所解码的结果。在CPU 20的控制下,通过信号线L5和L6将影像数据输出给第一编码器5。第一编码器5参考输出内容管理表13,并进行编码以匹配获得后的最大可播放比特率(在该情况下,如图5所示的第4行中所记录的2Mbps的最大可播放比特率)。通过L13、L20和L23将再次编码的影像数据发送给临时缓冲器17和第二解码器16。通过L15将第二解码器16再次解码的影像数据传送给分辨率转换单元7,并且通过数字接口将该影像数据进一步输出给显示单元。
接着说明用于从对上述例子中的四个外部介质进行输出的状态返回(登入)输出内容的过程。说明将上述例子中输出给DVD的内容返回给影像控制装置100的情况。首先,用户将输出时所用的DVD介质插入第一外部介质接口18,并利用遥控器 21向CPU 20指示内容的登入。CPU 20从DVD擦除该内容,并对输出内容管理表13进行更新。表更新过程如下。
首先,从输出内容管理表13擦除已经输出给DVD的记录部分(图6)。输出到DVD之前的最大可播放比特率为15Mbps。基于此,对于输出到DVD之后所进行的1.5Mbps和200kbps的输出再次进行最大可播放比特率的计算。首先,使用图6中的第1行和第3行进行计算。在这种情况下,如果利用最大可播放比特率=15Mbps和输出比特率=2Mbps根据图2的流程图进行计算,则此时最大可播放比特率为10Mbps。将此结果写入第2行,然后擦除第3行(图7)。此外,通过根据最大可播放比特率=10Mbps和输出比特率=1Mbps的流程图进行计算,最大可播放比特率变为9Mbps。将此结果写入第3行,擦除第4行,并且获得最终结果(图8)。同样通过以相同的方式进行计算,可以返回其它内容,一旦最终返回了所有输出内容,就可以以原始比特率进行重放。
以上说明了用于确定原始内容的最大可播放比特率的例子,重点在于在从影像控制装置100输出内容的情况下的比特率。对于可播放比特率的限制不必基于输出比特率。例如,可以基于将要输出的内容的“分辨率”来限制原始内容的最大比特率。同样,可以基于是输出所有内容还是仅输出一部分内容来限制原始内容的最大比特率。当然,还可以使用它们的组合。限制原始内容的参数可以是除比特率以外的参数,例如,可以是分辨率等,或者可以是多个参数的组合。利用本发明,在将给定内容输出(登出)到外部的情况下,禁止在原始内容的原始状态下重放原始内容。同样,在返回(登入)输出内容的情况下,减轻或解除所施加的限制。
尽管参考典型实施例说明了本发明,但是应该理解,本发 明不局限于所公开的典型实施例。以下权利要求书的范围符合最宽的解释,以包含所有修改、等同结构和功能。

Claims (7)

1.一种用于转换具有输入比特率的输入影像数据流的比特率并以转换后的比特率输出影像数据流的影像控制装置,所述影像控制装置包括:
存储单元,用于存储所述输入影像数据流;
第一解码器,用于对从所述存储单元读出的影像数据进行解码;
编码器,用于以多个转换后的比特率对所述第一解码器的输出进行编码;
输出单元,用于输出所述编码器以第一比特率编码的影像数据,以记录到记录介质;
第二解码器,用于对所述编码器以第二比特率编码的相同影像数据进行解码;
数字接口,用于将由所述第二解码器解码的影像数据输出至显示单元;以及
控制单元,用于确定所述第二比特率,并控制所述存储单元继续存储所述输入影像数据流,以使得在将影像数据输出至所述记录介质之后以所述第二比特率读出影像数据,
其中,基于所述第一比特率将所述第二比特率限制在预定值m Mbps以下,并且所述第一比特率和所述第二比特率的总和小于所述输入比特率,其中m为正数。
2.根据权利要求1所述的影像控制装置,其特征在于,还包括:
加密单元,用于对所述输入影像数据流进行加密,其中
所述存储单元用于存储加密后的影像数据,
所述控制单元用于从所述存储单元读取预定的加密后的影像数据,对所述数据进行解密,并控制所述存储单元和所述加密单元以将解密后的数据输出到所述第一解码器。
3.根据权利要求1所述的影像控制装置,其特征在于,还包括:
分辨率转换单元,用于转换由所述第一解码器或所述第二解码器进行解码的影像数据的分辨率,其中
所述数字接口用于转换经过了所述分辨率转换单元的分辨率转换的影像数据的格式,以使得能够显示影像。
4.根据权利要求1所述的影像控制装置,其特征在于,在所述第一比特率小于预定比特率k Mbps的情况下,将所述第二比特率设置成所述预定值m,其中,k为正数。
5.根据权利要求4所述的影像控制装置,其特征在于,所述预定比特率k、所述预定值m和所述输入影像数据的比特率xMbps,满足如下条件:0.1<k/x<0.3且0.5<m/x<0.8,其中,x为正数。
6.根据权利要求1所述的影像控制装置,其特征在于,在将输出到记录介质的影像数据返回到所述影像控制装置时,所述控制单元将所述第二比特率返回为输出以进行记录之前所设置的比特率。
7.一种用于转换输入影像数据的比特率并以转换后的比特率输出影像数据的影像控制方法,所述方法包括以下步骤:
将所述输入影像数据记录在存储单元中;
对从所述存储单元读出的影像数据进行解码的第一解码;
以第一比特率对所述第一解码中所解码的影像数据进行编码;
输出在所述编码中以所述第一比特率编码的影像数据以记录到记录介质;
确定第二比特率;
以所确定的第二比特率对在所述第一解码中所解码的影像数据进行编码;
对以所述第二比特率编码的影像数据再次进行解码的第二解码;
将在所述第二解码中所解码的影像数据输出至显示单元;以及
控制所述存储单元继续存储所述输入影像数据,以使得在将影像数据输出至所述记录介质之后以所述第二比特率读出影像数据,
其中,基于所述第一比特率将所述第二比特率限制在预定值m Mbps以下,并且所述第一比特率和所述第二比特率的总和小于输入比特率,其中m为正数。
