Abstract
本发明涉及一种用于等离子体显示板的驱动器。根据本发明,为了减小在显示单元的维持期间的电流回路,提出了一种新颖的驱动器结构。维持电路的开关I1和I4,与开关I2和I3一起彼此相邻地设置于电路板上。此外,将访问显示电极Ys和Yas的连接器设置于板的外围的同一边缘上。
Description
技术领域
本发明涉及一种用于等离子体显示板的驱动器。具体地,本发明涉及一种驱动器结构,其减少了在显示单元的维持期间的电流回路。
背景技术
当前,存在等离子体显示板(以下称为PDP)驱动器,其元件被分配在两块板之间,将用于控制显示单元的维持电极Ys的组件设置于第一板上,而将用于控制显示单元寻址-维持电极Yas的组件设置于第二板上。图1中示出了这种情况。将用于控制显示单元的维持电极Ys的装置装配在第一板B1上。两个开关I1和I2在接收电压Vs的电源提供端子T1和接地端子T2之间串联。电压Vs表示要施加到显示单元的维持电极Ys和寻址-维持电极Yas上的维持脉冲信号的峰值电压。位于开关I1和I2之间的中间点与访问显示单元的电极Ys的连接器CN1相连。此外,电源和退耦电容器C1连接于端子T1和T2之间。
按照相同的方式,将控制显示单元的维持电极Ys的装置装配在第二板B2上。两个开关I3和I4在接收电压Vs的电源提供端子T3和接地端子T4之间串联。位于开关I3和I4之间的中间点与访问显示单元的电极Yas的连接器CN2相连。此外,电源和退耦电容器C2连接于端子T3和T4之间。
在维持阶段,首先闭合开关I1和I4,然后闭合开关I2和I3。图2A示出了当闭合开关I1和I4时在驱动器中出现的电流回路。该回路中电流的方向如箭头所示。类似地,图2B示出了当开关I2和I3闭合时在驱动器中流动的电流回路。从这些图中可以看出,这些电流回路相对主要地导致了电磁发散的产生。
为了减小这些电流回路的大小,一个已知的解决方案是将驱动器的两部分重组到一个单独的板上。这种情况如图3所示。在该第二驱动器中,设置了一个本领域技术人员熟知的能量恢复电路。除了电源提供端子T3和接地端子T4没有示出之外,图1中驱动器的所有元件都这样设置一个板上。图4A示出了恢复电路和显示电极Ys及Yas之间的电流回路。类似地,一方面,当闭合开关I1、I4以及另一方面,当闭合I2、I3时,电流回路如图4B图4C所示。相对于图1中的驱动器,减小了这些回路的大小,但是即使电路是混合电路(具有被集成的特定组件),也仍然存在。
发明内容
本发明的目的是减小驱动器中的电流回路,以便减少电磁发散。
本发明涉及一种用于等离子体显示板的驱动器,包括维持电路,设计用于将第一维持脉冲信号提供给显示器的单元的维持电极,以及将第二维持脉冲信号提供给显示器的寻址一维持电极,所述维持电路包括,连接于访问显示单元的维持电极的第一访问连接器和接收所述第一和第二维持脉冲信号的峰值电压的电源提供端子之间的第一开关,连接于所述第一访问连接器和地之间的第二开关,连接于访问显示单元的寻址一维持电极的第二访问连接器和所述电源提供端子之间的第三开关,以及连接于所述第二访问连接器和地之间的第四开关,其特征在于,将其安装于单一的板上,其中将所述第一、第四开关,以及相类似地将第二、第三开关设置为彼此相邻以减小显示单元维持期间的电流回路的大小。
有利地,将所述第一、第二访问连接器设置于板的外围,并在同一边缘彼此相邻设置,以便进一步减小电流回路的大小。
根据优选实施例,将访问连接器之一设置于所述板的正面,而将另一个设置在背面。
根据另一实施例,将所述第一和第二访问连接器合成一体成为一个单独的访问连接器。

具体实施方式
根据本发明,优化PDP的驱动器的元件的位置,以便在三维上都减小回路的大小。图5A从一个平面(x,y)示出了本发明的驱动器,而图5B从平面(y,z)示出了相同的电路。
在这些图中,开关I1和I4在x轴的同一水平面上相邻设置,从而减小了闭合时流过其的电流的回路。这同样适用于开关I2和I3,用以减小闭合时流过其的电流的回路。
此外,将访问连接器CN1和CN2设置于板的外围,在板的相同边缘相邻排列,这里,是板的左边缘。由于全部的电流回路都从这两个访问连接器通过,因此再次减小了这些回路的大小。在本优选实施例中,连接器CN1位于板的正面,而连接器CN2处于背面上在(x,y)平面中相同的位置。因而,连接位于开关I2和I3之间的中点和连接器CN2的导线与连接该中点和能量恢复电路的导线一起设于板的背面。其它所有电路组件及导线都设于板的正面,例如,设置螺丝,用于将背面的导线和正面的组件相链接。
因此,如图6A至6F所示,极大地减小了电流回路。图6A和6B示出了恢复电路和显示电极Ys及Yas之间的电流回路。图6C和图6D示出了当开关I1和I4闭合时流过其的电流的回路。图6E和图6F示出了当开关I2和I3闭合时流过其的电流的回路。
极大地减小了Z方向上的电流回路的大小,并且实质上由板的厚度来确定。在(x,y)平面上,如果开关I1,I4及I2,I3彼此相邻很近且靠近访问连接器CN1和CN2,则可以减小电流回路。应当注意,在该图中,示出了两个电源提供端子T1和T4以及两个接地端子T2和T3,以便简化电路图。显而易见的是,可以只提供一个电源提供端子和一个接地端子,其中利用附加的导线将与去掉的端子相接的元件与这两端子相连。
该解决方案可以是集成电路设计,也可以是分离的元件。近场测试显示,相对于传统电路减少了电磁发射。
作为变体,可以设想采用一个单独的连接器代替连接器CN1和CN2。在这种情况下,应当将该连接器的一些引脚分配给电极Ys,而将其它引脚分配给电极Yas。
Claims (3)
1.一种用于等离子体显示板的驱动器,包括维持电路,设计用于将第一维持脉冲信号提供给显示器的单元的维持电极(Ys),以及将第二维持脉冲信号提供给显示器的寻址-维持电极(Yas),所述维持电路包括:连接于访问显示单元的维持电极的第一访问连接器(CN1)和接收所述第一和第二维持脉冲信号的峰值电压(Vs)的电源提供端子之间的第一开关(I1),连接于所述第一访问连接器(CN1)和地之间的第二开关(I2),连接于访问显示单元的寻址-维持电极的第二访问连接器(CN2)和所述电源提供端子之间的第三开关(I3),以及连接于所述第二访问连接器和地之间的第四开关(I4),
其特征在于,将所述驱动器安装于单一的板上,其中将所述第一、第四开关(I1,I4),以及相类似地将第二、第三开关(I2,I3)设置为彼此相邻,以便减小显示单元的维持期间的电流回路的大小,以及将所述第一和第二访问连接器(CN1,CN2)设置于板的外围,并且彼此相邻地设置于同一边缘。
2.根据权利要求1所述的驱动器,其特征在于将一个访问连接器设置于所述板的正面,而将另一个设置于板的背面。
3.根据权利要求1所述的驱动器,其特征在于将所述第一和第二访问连接器(CN1,CN2)结合成单一的连接器。
