Abstract

技术领域
本发明涉及等离子体显示板(PDP),尤其涉及用于该等离子体显示板的驱动方法。
背景技术
PDP是一种使用由气体放电产生的等离子体来显示字符或图像的平板显示器。PDP可以包括矩阵形式的、数目超过几百万的像素,其中像素的数量是由PDP的大小来确定的。参考图1和2,现在将描述PDP的结构。
图1示出了PDP的部分透视图,图2示意性示出了PDP的电极排列。
如图1所示,PDP包括以预定间隙相互面对的玻璃基板1、6。扫描电极4和维持电极5成对地平行形成在玻璃基板1上。扫描电极4和维持电极被介电层2和保护膜3所覆盖。在玻璃基板6上形成多个寻址电极8,并且寻址电极8被绝缘层7所覆盖。在绝缘层7上寻址电极8之间形成障肋9(barrierrib),并且在绝缘层7上及障肋9之间形成磷光体10。玻璃基板1、6彼此面对并且在玻璃基板1、6之间具有放电空间,因此扫描电极4和维持电极5可以与寻址电极8交叉。寻址电极8与一对扫描电极4和维持电极5的交叉部分之间的放电空间11形成放电单元12,该放电单元12被示意性地示出。
如图2所示,PDP的电极具有n×m的矩阵形式。寻址电极A1至Am纵向排列,n个扫描电极Y1至Yn以及n个维持电极X1至Xn横向排列。扫描/维持驱动电路13驱动扫描和维持电极,而寻址驱动电路15驱动寻址电极。
由Kurata提出的用于驱动PDP的美国专利第6,294,875号公开了一种用于将一个场划分成八个子场并且在第一子场和第二至第八子场的复位周期中施加不同的波形的方法。
如图3所示,子场包括复位周期、寻址周期、和维持周期。在第一子场的复位周期期间,将一个斜坡波形施加给扫描电极Y1至Yn,该斜坡波形从小于放电点火电压的电压Vp逐渐上升到大于放电点火电压的电压Vr。在斜坡波形上升的同时,产生从扫描电极Y1至Yn到寻址电极A1至Am和维持电极X1至Xn的弱放电。由于放电,负壁电荷聚集到扫描电极Y1至Yn,并且正壁电荷聚集到寻址电极A1至Am以及维持电极X1至Xn。壁电荷实际上是形成在图1中的扫描电极4和维持电极5的保护膜3上,但是下面为了描述方便,将壁电荷描述为形成在扫描电极4和维持电极5上。
将从小于放电点火电压的电压Vq逐渐下降到电压0V(伏)的斜坡电压施加给扫描电极Y1至Yn。在斜坡电压下降的同时,通过在放电单元形成的壁电压,产生从维持电极X1至Xn以及寻址电极A1至Am到扫描电极Y1至Yn上的弱放电。通过放电来擦除在维持电极X1至Xn、扫描电极Y1至Yn、以及寻址电极A1至Am上形成的部分壁电荷,并且将它们设立为适合于寻址。类似地,实际上在图1的寻址电极8的绝缘层7的表面上形成壁电荷,但是为了描述方便,将它们描述为形成在寻址电极8上。
接着,当在寻址周期将正电压Vw施加给将被选择的放电单元的寻址电极A1至Am,并且将0V施加给扫描电极Y1至Yn时,通过由在复位周期期间形成的壁电荷引起的壁电压和正电压Vw,在寻址电极A1至Am与扫描电极Y1至Yn之间,以及在维持电极X1至Xn与扫描电极Y1至Yn之间产生寻址。通过寻址,正壁电荷聚集在扫描电极Y1至Yn上,并且负壁电荷聚集在维持电极X1至Xn和寻址电极A1至Am上。通过在维持周期期间施加的维持脉冲,在通过寻址而在其上聚集壁电荷的放电单元上产生维持。
在第一子场的维持周期期间施加给扫描电极Y1至Yn的最后维持脉冲的电压电平与复位周期的电压Vr相对应,并且将对应于电压Vr与维持电压Vs的差的电压(Vr-Vs)施加给维持电极X1至Xn。因为由寻址而形成的壁电压,产生从扫描电极Y1至Yn到寻址电极A1至Am的放电,并且在寻址周期中选择的放电单元中产生从扫描电极Y1至Yn到维持电极X1至Xn的维持。所述放电与在第一子场的复位周期中由上升斜坡电压产生的放电对应。由于在放电单元中没有提供寻址,因此在未被选择的放电单元中不发生放电。
在随后的第二子场的复位周期中,将电压Vh施加给维持电极X1至Xn,并且将从电压Vq逐渐下降到0V的斜坡电压施加给扫描电极Y1至Yn。也就是,将与在第一子场的复位周期期间施加的下降斜坡电压相对应的电压施加给扫描电极Y1至Yn。在第一子场中选择的放电单元上产生弱放电,并且在未被选择的放电单元上不产生放电。
在之后的最后子场的复位周期中,施加与第二子场的复位周期的波形相同的波形。在第八子场中的维持周期之后,形成擦除周期。在擦除周期期间,将从0V逐渐上升到电压Ve的斜坡电压施加给维持电极X1至Xn。通过斜坡电压来擦除在放电单元中形成的壁电荷。
对于上述的传统驱动波形,在第一子场的复位周期,由上升斜坡电压在所有放电单元上产生放电,因此,在将不被显示的单元中发生有问题的放电,从而恶化了对比度。而且,由于在使用内部壁电压的寻址周期中,在所有扫描电极上依次执行寻址,所以在后面的级中选择的扫描电极的内部壁电压被丢失。结果该丢失的壁电压降低了容限。
发明内容
根据本发明,提供了一种不使用内部壁电压来执行寻址的PDP驱动方法。还提供了一种施加部分脉冲来解决在复位周期中没有复位的单元的问题的PDP驱动方法,所述部分脉冲具有大于维持周期期间的维持电压的电压。

具体实施方式
参考图4,将描述根据本发明第一示例性实施例的PDP驱动方法。如寻址电极A1至Am、扫描电极Y1至Yn、以及维持电极X1至Xn的附图标记表示将相同的电压施加给寻址电极、扫描电极、以及维持电极,并且如寻址电极Ai和扫描电极Yj的附图标记表示将相应的电压施加给一些寻址电极和扫描电极。
图4示出了根据本发明第一示例性实施例的PDP驱动波形图。如图所示,根据第一示例性实施例的驱动波形包括复位周期、寻址周期、和维持周期。如图2所示,PDP连接至扫描/维持驱动电路13和寻址驱动电路15,根据本发明,在每个周期,所述扫描/维持驱动电路13将驱动电压施加给扫描电极Y1至Yn和维持电极X1至Xn,所述寻址驱动电路15将驱动电压施加给寻址电极A1至Am。驱动电路以及与其连接的PDP构成等离子体显示器。
在复位周期中消除在维持周期形成的壁电荷。在寻址周期中从多个放电单元当中选择出将被显示的放电单元。在维持周期中,在寻址周期中选择的放电单元被放电。
在维持周期,通过由在寻址周期中选择的放电单元中形成的壁电荷所引起的壁电压与由施加给扫描电极和维持电极的维持脉冲形成的电压之间的差来实现维持。在维持周期的最后维持脉冲处将电压Vs施加给扫描电极Y1至Yn,并且将参考电压(假设在图4中是0V)施加给维持电极X1至Xn。所选的放电单元在扫描电极Yj与维持电极Xj之间放电,并且分别在扫描电极Yj和维持电极Xj上形成负和正壁电荷。
在复位周期,在维持周期中施加了最后维持脉冲之后,将从电压Vq逐渐下降到电压Vn的斜坡电压施加给扫描电极Y1至Yn,并且将参考电压0V施加给寻址电极A1至Am和维持电极Xj。
通常,当扫描电极Y与寻址电极A之间或者扫描电极Y与维持电极X之间的电压大于放电点火电压时,在扫描电极Y与寻址电极A之间或者在扫描电极Y与维持电极X之间发生放电,并且放电点火电压根据放电单元的状态而变化。因此,在第一示例性实施例中,电压Vn具有一个允许所有放电单元被从寻址电极A1至Am放电到扫描电极Y1至Yn的值。所有放电单元包括在能够影响PDP上的屏幕显示的区域上提供的放电单元。
如等式1所给出的,将施加给寻址电极A1至Am的电压0V与施加给扫描电极Y1至Yn的电压Vn之间的差VA-Y,reset设立为大于多个放电点火电压当中的最大放电点火电压Vf,MAX。在该示例中,期望电压Vn的大小|Vn|小于电压Vr,因为当电压VA-Y,reset与图3的驱动波形的电压Vr同样地非常大时,能够形成壁电荷。

这里,因为下降的斜坡电压,在维持电极X1至Xn与扫描电极Y1至Yn之间以及在寻址电极A1至Am与扫描电极Y1至Yn之间产生弱放电。在先前子场中选择放电单元的情况中,因为在扫描电极Yj、维持电极Xj、以及寻址电极Aj上形成壁电荷,所以壁电荷被弱放电擦除。在该示例中,由于未在放电单元中形成大量的壁电荷,所以在放电单元中形成的大部分壁电荷被擦除,并且仅保留了可以删除放电单元之间的非均匀性的预定数量的壁电荷。在不是在先前子场中选择出放电单元的情况中,通过由下降的斜坡电压引起的弱放电来形成仅可以解决放电单元之间的非均匀性的壁电荷,或者几乎不形成壁电荷。
因此,根据本发明第一示例性实施例,在通过复位周期时所有放电单元的大多数壁电荷被擦除。
在寻址周期,扫描电极Y1至Yn和维持电极X1至Xn处的电压分别维持在Va和Ve,并且电压被施加给扫描电极Y1至Yn和寻址电极A1至Am,从而选择将被显示的放电单元。也就是,将负电压Vsc施加给第一行的扫描电极Y1,将正电压Vw施加给寻址电极A1,该寻址电极是在将在第一行被显示的放电单元上同时提供的。电压Vsc对应于图4中的Vn。
因此,如等式2中所给出的,在寻址周期中选择的放电单元中的寻址电极Ai与扫描电极Y1之间的电压差VA-Y,address总是变成大于最大放电点火电压Vf,MAX,并且被施加了电压Ve的维持电极X1与扫描电极Y1之间的电压差变成大于最大放电点火电压Vf,MAX。

因此,在由被施加了电压Vw的寻址电极Ai和被施加了电压Vsc的扫描电极Y1所形成的放电单元中的寻址电极Ai与扫描电极Y1之间以及维持电极X1与扫描电极Y1之间产生寻址。结果,在扫描电极Y1上形成正壁电荷,并且在维持电极X1和寻址电极Ai上形成负壁电荷。
接着,将电压Vsc施加到第二行的扫描电极Y2,将电压Vw施加给在将在第二行上显示的放电单元上提供的寻址电极Ai。结果,在由被施加了电压Vw的寻址电极Ai和被施加了电压Vsc的扫描电极Y1形成的放电单元中产生寻址,并且因此,在放电单元中形成壁电荷。以类似的方式,将电压Vsc顺序地施加给剩余行中的扫描电极Y3至Yn,并且将电压Vw施加给在将被显示的放电单元上提供的寻址电极,从而形成壁电荷。
在维持周期,将电压Vs施加给扫描电极Y1至Yn,并且将参考电压0V施加给维持电极X1至Xn。因为由在寻址周期形成的扫描电极Yj的正壁电荷以及维持电极Xj的负壁电荷引起的壁电压被加到电压Vs上,所以扫描电极Yj和维持电极Xj之间的电压超过在寻址周期选择的放电单元中的放电点火电压。因此,在扫描电极Yj和维持电极Xj之间形成维持。在产生了维持的放电单元的扫描电极Yj和维持电极Xj上分别形成负和正壁电荷。
接着,将0V施加给扫描电极Y1至Yn,并且将电压Vs施加给维持电极X1至Xn。在产生了维持的先前放电单元中,因为由在先前维持中形成的维持电极Xj的正壁电荷以及扫描电极Yj的负壁电荷引起的壁电压被加到电压Vs,所以维持电极Xj与扫描电极Yj之间的电压超过放电点火电压。因此,在扫描电极Yj和维持电极Xj之间形成维持,在产生了维持的放电单元的扫描电极Yj和维持电极Xj上分别形成正和负壁电荷。
以类似的方式,将电压Vs和0V交替地施加给扫描电极Y1至Yn和维持电极X1至Xn,以便保持维持。如所述的,在将电压Vs施加给扫描电极Y1至Yn和将0V施加给维持电极X1至Xn的同时,产生最后维持。在最后维持之后,提供从上述复位周期开始的子场。
在第一示例性实施例中,通过允许将在寻址周期显示的放电单元的寻址电极与扫描电极之间的电压差大于最大放电点火电压,当在复位周期没有形成壁电荷时产生寻址。因此,由于寻址不受在复位周期形成的壁电荷的影响,所以消除了恶化容限的问题。由于在寻址时没有使用壁电荷,因此与现有技术相比,在复位周期中减少了放电量,并且没有必要以与现有技术相同的方式在复位周期中通过使用上升的斜坡电压来形成壁电荷。因此,由于在不发光的放电单元中减少了复位周期的放电量,而提高了对比度。而且,由于图3中消除了电压Vr,因此降低了施加给PDP的最大电压。
由于可以通过使电压Vsc、Vn彼此对应而由相同电源来提供电压Vsc、Vn,因此简化了驱动扫描电极的电路。此外,由于在所选的放电单元中的寻址电极与扫描电极之间的电压差可以比最大放电点火电压大电压Vw,因此不管壁电荷如何都形成寻址。
在第一示例性实施例中,参考电压被设立为0V,并且它还可以被设定为其它电压。当可能使得电压Vw与Vsc之间的差大于最大放电点火电压时,电压Vsc可以与电压Vn不同。
在图4中,在寻址周期施加给维持电极X1至Xn的电压Ve被设定为正电压。如果在寻址周期通过扫描电极Yj与寻址电极Ai之间的放电可以在扫描电极Yj与维持电极Xj之间产生放电,则电压Ve可以变化。即,电压Ve可以是0V或负电压。
现在将描述一种用于解决可能在本发明第一示例性实施例中发生的问题的PDP驱动方法。
在如图4所示的PDP驱动波形中,由于在复位周期施加了下降到负电压Vn的斜坡波形,所以可以在扫描电极Y1至Yn上形成正壁电荷。而当在其中正壁电荷聚集在扫描电极Y1至Yn上的单元中、在寻址周期将负电压Vsc依次施加给扫描电极Y1至Yn时,可以形成更多正壁电荷。而且,当在寻址周期中未选择在其中正壁电荷聚集在扫描电极Y1至Yn上的单元的情况下施加在复位周期下降的斜坡电压波形时,维持正壁电荷。由于在复位周期的复位期间没有复位在扫描电极Y1至Yn上提供的少量正壁电荷,因此,不能顺利执行下一子场中的寻址。
图5至8示出了用于擦除在图4的波形情况中可以在扫描电极Y1至Yn上形成的正壁电荷的PDP驱动波形图。
图5示出了根据本发明第二示例性实施例的PDP驱动波形图。如图所示,根据本发明第二示例性实施例的驱动波形对应于图4的驱动波形,并且在图4的维持周期还将预定的斜坡波形施加给扫描电极Y1至Yn。也就是,当在维持周期将电压Vs交替地施加到扫描电极Y1至Yn与维持电极X1至Xn以执行维持时,在将电压Vs施加给扫描电极Y1至Yn的第一周期与在所述第一周期之后将电压Vs施加给维持电极的第二周期之间,将图5的斜坡波形施加给扫描电极Y1至Yn。由于在将维持电压Vs施加给扫描电极Y1至Yn之后再次将斜坡波形施加给扫描电极Y1至Yn,所以斜坡波形不影响在寻址周期期间选择的单元(由于通过施加维持电压Vs将负壁电荷聚集在扫描电极上,所以当施加正电压时不产生放电),并且由于在寻址周期期间未被选择的单元上产生了弱放电,并且其中如上所述正壁电荷聚集在扫描电极上(由于在扫描电极上形成正壁电荷,因此当将正电压施加给扫描电极时发生放电),少量的负壁电荷聚集于在寻址周期期间未被选择的单元的扫描电极上,并且当在复位周期施加下降的斜坡时执行复位操作。因此,在寻址下一子场时不会产生故障。在该示例中,斜坡电压是一个上升到预定电压Vb的电压,该电压Vb大于维持电压Vs,从而产生弱放电。也就是,维持电压Vs将适当的电压施加给扫描电极,从而在具有形成的正壁电荷的放电单元中可能发生弱放电。在图5中将维持电压施加给扫描电极之后立即施加斜坡波形,但是可以在维持电压Vs交替施加给扫描电极和维持电极的任意间隔内将斜坡波形施加给扫描电极Y1至Yn。而且,在维持周期可以施加至少一次斜坡波形。
图5图解说明了施加斜坡波形,然而,除了斜坡波形之外,也可以施加电阻器-电容器(RC)谐振波形、浮动波形、以及逐渐上升的阶梯形式波形,以获得与图5相同的效果。
图6示出了根据本发明第三示例性实施例的PDP驱动波形图。如图所示,不同于图5,在维持周期,将维持电压Vs施加给扫描电极Y1至Yn,并且将上升到电压Vb的RC谐振波形施加给扫描电极Y1至Yn。在该示例中,在将维持电压Vs施加给扫描电极Y1至Yn的周期,在寻址周期中选择的单元中产生维持,而在寻址周期中未被选择的单元中不产生维持,并且当施加RC谐振波形时,在寻址周期中未被选择的单元中产生弱放电,其中在所述单元的扫描电极上聚集了正壁电荷。在该示例中,电压Vb将适当的电压施加给扫描电极,从而在具有所形成的正壁电荷的放电单元中形成弱放电。因此,负壁电荷聚集于在寻址周期期间未被选择的扫描电极上,该扫描电极通过下一复位周期的斜坡波形被复位,并且当在下一寻址周期选择扫描电极时不产生故障。而且,由于在维持之后施加RC谐振波形,因此当施加RC谐振波形时在寻址周期中选择的单元不受RC谐振波形的影响。在维持周期期间的任意时刻,可以将施加维持电压Vs并且立即施加RC谐振波形的波形向扫描电极Y1至Yn施加至少一次。
图7示出了根据本发明第四示例性实施例的PDP驱动波形图。如图所示,除了在将维持电压Vs施加给扫描电极Y1至Yn之后施加上升到电压Vb的斜坡波形之外,第四示例性实施例与图6的第三示例性实施例一致。通过施加上述的斜坡波形,负壁电荷聚集于在寻址周期期间未被选择的单元的扫描电极上,其中在所述单元中聚集了正壁电荷。通过这一过程,由下一复位周期的斜坡波形来执行复位,并且当在下一寻址周期选择扫描电极时,寻址该扫描电极。而且,因为在施加斜坡波形时的维持之后施加斜坡波形,在寻址周期选择的单元不受斜坡波形的影响。可以在维持周期的任意时刻,将图7的斜坡波形施加给扫描电极Y1至Yn至少一次。
图8示出了根据本发明第五示例性实施例的PDP驱动波形图。如图所示,除了在将维持电压Vs施加给扫描电极Y1至Yn之后施加浮动波形之外,第五示例性实施例与图6的第三示例性实施例一致。通过在改变恒定电压之后施加浮动波形,负壁电荷聚集于在寻址周期期间未被选择的单元的扫描电极上,其中在所述单元中,在扫描电极上聚集了正壁电荷。通过这一过程,由下一复位周期的斜坡波形来执行复位,并且当在下一寻址周期期间选择扫描电极时,寻址该扫描电极。而且,因为浮动波形是在维持之后施加的,因此在施加浮动波形时,在寻址周期选择的单元不受浮动波形的影响。可以在维持周期的任意时刻,将图7的浮动波形施加给扫描电极Y1至Yn至少一次。
图9示出了根据本发明第六示例性实施例的PDP驱动波形图,其中施加用于施加和维持恒定电压的阶梯波形,从该阶梯波形获得了相同的效果。
图5至9中所施加的斜坡波形、RC谐振波形、浮动波形、以及阶梯波形是通过简单电路结构而产生的,由于它们为本领域的技术人员所熟知,因此不提供相应的描述。
根据本发明,因为寻址不受在复位周期形成的壁电荷的影响,因此消除了由于壁电荷的损失而引起的恶化容限的问题。由于在复位周期期间,不发光的放电单元中的放电量减少了,因此提高了对比度。而且,减小了施加给PDP的最大电压。
另外,通过在维持周期期间施加预定波形,可以存在于在寻址周期期间未被选择的单元的扫描电极上的正壁电荷被转换成负壁电荷,并且在下一个复位周期中执行复位,因此,顺利地执行了下一寻址。
虽然已经结合目前被认为是实用的实施例描述了本发明,但是应当理解,本发明不限于所公开的实施例,相反,本发明试图覆盖在所附权利要求的精神和范围内包含的各种修改和等效结构。
Claims (16)
1.一种驱动等离子体显示板的方法,所述等离子体显示板具有分别在第一基板上平行形成的多个第一电极和多个第二电极,和与多个第一电极和第二电极交叉并且形成在第二基板上的多个第三电极,以及第一电极、第二电极和第三电极各自的驱动电路,其中由相邻的第一电极、第二电极、以及第三电极形成放电单元,场被划分为多个子场并且随后被驱动,每个子场包括复位周期、寻址周期、和维持周期,并且所有子场分别构成至少一个场,所述方法包括:
在复位周期期间,将从第一电压逐渐下降到第二电压的斜坡电压施加给第一电极;
在寻址周期期间,将第三电压和第四电压分别施加给将从多个放电单元当中选择的一个放电单元的第一电极和第三电极;和
在维持周期期间,将第五电压交替地施加给第一电极和第二电极,并且在将第五电压施加给第一电极之后将该第五电压施加给第二电极的至少一个间隔中,将具有逐渐上升的间隔的第六电压施加给第一电极。
2.一种驱动等离子体显示板的方法,所述等离子体显示板具有分别在第一基板上平行形成的多个第一电极和多个第二电极,和与多个第一电极和第二电极交叉并且形成在第二基板上的多个第三电极,以及第一电极、第二电极和第三电极各自的驱动电路,其中由相邻的第一电极、第二电极、以及第三电极形成放电单元,场被划分为多个子场并且随后被驱动,每个子场包括复位周期、寻址周期、和维持周期,并且所有子场分别构成至少一个场,所述方法包括:
在复位周期期间,将从第一电压逐渐下降到第二电压的斜坡电压施加给第一电极;
在寻址周期期间,分别将第三电压和第四电压施加给将从多个放电单元当中选择的一个放电单元的第一电极和第三电极;和
在维持周期期间,将第五电压交替地施加给第一电极和第二电极,并且在将第五电压施加给第一电极之后,立即施加从第五电压上升的至少一个第六电压。
3.如权利要求2所述的方法,其中所述第六电压大于所述第五电压。
4.如权利要求2所述的方法,其中通过施加第六电压,将在寻址周期中未被选择的单元的第一电极上提供的正壁电荷转换成负壁电荷。
5.如权利要求2所述的方法,其中从第五电压上升到第六电压的波形是电阻器-电容器谐振波形。
6.如权利要求2所述的方法,其中从第五电压上升到第六电压的波形是斜坡波形。
7.如权利要求2所述的方法,其中从第五电压上升到第六电压的波形是在恒定电压变化之后执行浮动的浮动波形。
8.如权利要求2所述的方法,其中从第五电压上升到第六电压的波形是在恒定电压变化之后保持电压的阶梯波形。
9.一种驱动等离子体显示板的方法,所述等离子体显示板具有分别在第一基板上平行形成的多个第一电极和多个第二电极,以及与多个第一电极和第二电极交叉并且形成在第二基板上的多个第三电极,其中由相邻的第一电极、第二电极、以及第三电极形成放电单元,所述方法包括:
在维持周期期间,
将第一电压交替地施加给第一电极和第二电极,并且在将第一电压施加给第一电极之后将该第一电压施加给第二电极的至少一个间隔中,将逐渐上升的第二电压施加给第一电极;和
通过施加第二电压,将在用于选择将被选择的单元的寻址周期中未被选择的单元的第一电极上提供的正壁电荷转换成负壁电荷。
10.一种驱动等离子体显示板的方法,所述等离子体显示板具有分别在第一基板上平行形成的多个第一电极和多个第二电极,以及与多个第一电极和第二电极交叉并且形成在第二基板上的多个第三电极,其中由相邻的第一电极、第二电极、以及第三电极形成放电单元,所述方法包括:
在维持周期期间,
将第一电压交替地施加给第一电极和第二电极,并且在将第一压施加给第一电极之后,立即施加至少一个从第一电压上升的第二电压;和
通过施加第二电压,将在用于选择将被选择的单元的寻址周期中未被选择的单元的第一电极上提供的正壁电荷转换成负壁电荷。
11.如权利要求10所述的方法,其中所述第二电压大于所述第一电压。
12.如权利要求10所述的方法,其中从第一电压上升到第二电压的波形是电阻器-电容器谐振波形。
13.如权利要求10所述的方法,其中从第一电压上升到第二电压的波形是斜坡波形。
14.如权利要求10所述的方法,其中从第一电压上升到第二电压的波形是在恒定电压变化之后执行浮动的浮动波形。
15.如权利要求10所述的方法,其中从第一电压上升到第二电压的波形是在恒定电压变化之后保持电压的阶梯波形。
16.一种等离子体显示器,包括:
第一基板;
面对第一基板的多个第一电极和多个第二电极,所述各对第一电极与第二电极之间具有一个间隙;
第二基板;
与第一电极和第二电极交叉并且形成于第二基板上的多个第三电极;和
驱动电路,用于将驱动电压施加给第一电极、第二电极和第三电极,以便放电由相邻的第一电极、第二电极、以及第三电极形成的放电单元,其中:
所述驱动电路将第一电压交替地施加给第一电极和第二电极,并且在维持周期期间,在将第一电压施加给第一电极之后将该第一电压施加给第二电极的至少一个间隔中施加第二电压,所述第二电压大于第一电压,以便将在用于选择将被放电的单元的寻址周期中未被选择的单元的第一电极上提供的正壁电荷转换成负壁电荷。
