Abstract
Un sistema de transporte híbrido de cable/riel (1) que comprende: al menos una porción del sistema configurada como un sistema de transporte de cable (2), que comprende al menos un cable (3); al menos una porción del sistema configurada como un sistema de transporte de riel (4), que comprende al menos un riel (5), en donde la porción del sistema configurada como un sistema de transporte de cable (2) está corriente arriba y/o corriente abajo de la porción del sistema configurada como un sistema de transporte de riel (4); una pluralidad de unidades de transporte (13), en donde cada unidad de transporte (13) comprende una cabina (6); en donde cada cabina (6) se configura para moverse a lo largo de todo el sistema, sostenida colgando respectivamente del cable (3) a lo largo de la porción del sistema configurada como un sistema de transporte de cable (2), y sostenida descansando en el riel (5) a lo largo de la porción del sistema configurada como un sistema de transporte de riel (4).
