MÉTODO Y APARATO PARA LA INDEXACIÓN DE DATOS DE SECUENCIA DEL GENOMA PRODUCIDOS POR MÁQUINAS DE SECUENCIACIÓN DEL GENOMA. EL MÉTODO PROPUESTO PUEDE APLICARSE TANTO A LOS DATOS DE SECUENCIA SIN PROCESAR PRODUCIDOS POR MÁQUINAS DE SECUENCIACIÓN COMO A AQUELLAS LECTURAS DE SECUENCIA QUE NO SE PUEDEN MAPEAR EN NINGUNA SECUENCIA DE REFERENCIA DE ACUERDO CON CRITERIOS DE COINCIDENCIA ESPECÍFICOS. ESTA INVENCIÓN DESCRIBE UN MÉTODO PARA DIVIDIR E INDEXAR LECTURAS DE SECUENCIAS NO ALINEADAS PARA PERMITIR LA NAVEGACIÓN Y EL ACCESO SELECTIVO EFICIENTE.
