Abstract
LA PRESENTE INVENCIÓN PROPORCIONA UNA COMPOSICIÓN DE FIBRA DE VIDRIO DE ALTO MÓDULO, UNA FIBRA DE VIDRIO Y UN MATERIAL COMPUESTO DE LOS MISMOS. LA COMPOSICIÓN DE FIBRA DE VIDRIO COMPRENDE LOS SIGUIENTES COMPONENTES EXPRESADOS COMO PORCENTAJE EN PESO: 55-64% SIO2, 13-24% AL2O3, 0.1-6% Y2O3, 3.4-10.9% CAO, 8-14% MGO, MENOR QUE 22% CAO+MGO+SRO, MENOR QUE 2% LI2O+NA2O+K2O, MENOR QUE 2% TIO2, MENOR QUE 1.5% FE2O3, 0-1.2% LA2O3, EN DONDE EL INTERVALO DE LA RELACIÓN DE PORCENTAJE DE PESO C1= (LI2O+NA2O+K2O)/(Y2O3+LA2O3) ES MAYOR QUE 0.26. TAL COMPOSICIÓN PUEDE AUMENTAR SIGNIFICATIVAMENTE EL MÓDULO ELÁSTICO DE VIDRIO, INHIBIR DE FORMA EFECTIVA LA TENDENCIA DE CRISTALIZACIÓN DE VIDRIO, DISMINUIR LA TEMPERATURA LÍQUIDA, ASEGURAR UN INTERVALO DE TEMPERATURA DESEABLE (?T) PARA FORMACIÓN DE FIBRA Y AUMENTAR LA CLARIFICACIÓN DE VIDRIO FUNDIDO, LO QUE LO HACE PARTICULARMENTE ADECUADO PARA PRODUCCIÓN DE FIBRA DE VIDRIO DE ALTO MÓDULO CON HORNOS REFRACTARIOS.
