EN LA PRESENTE SE PROPORCIONAN MÉTODOS PARA UTILIZAR UNA FOSFOLIPASA IIα SIMILAR A LA PATATINA MUTADA (“PPLAIIα”, RENOMBRADA EN LA PRESENTE COMO MATRILINEAL) CON EL FIN DE INDUCIR INDUCCIÓN DE HAPLOIDES EN PLANTAS, CLONAR UNA PPLAIIα PARA INDUCIR INDUCCIÓN DE HAPLOIDES EN PLANTAS Y MODIFICAR GENÉTICAMENTE UNA PLANTA PARA QUE CONTENGA UNA PPLAIIα MUTADA. TAMBIÉN SE PROPORCIONAN MÉTODOS PARA APLICAR MOLÉCULAS DE IARN, LÍPIDOS Y AGENTES QUÍMICOS COMO UN ESPRAY O POR VÍA TÓPICA A PLANTAS DURANTE LA POLINIZACIÓN CON EL FIN DE INDUCIR LA PRODUCCIÓN DE HAPLOIDES. SE PROPORCIONAN ADEMÁS MÉTODOS PARA TRATAR PLANTAS QUÍMICAMENTE DURANTE LA POLINIZACIÓN CON EL FIN DE INDUCIR HAPLOIDES A LA VEZ QUE TAMBIÉN SE REDUCE EL ABORTO DE EMBRIONES Y SE INCREMENTA EL CONJUNTO DE SEMILLAS.
