Dans ce dessin, les fig. 1 et 2 sont des vues en élévation longitudinales d'une pre mière forme d'exécution; la fig. 3 en est une vue en élévation transversale avec une partie arrachée et une partie en coupe; la fig. 4 en est une vue en plan, les tôles de retenue des comestibles enlevées; la fig. 5 est une vue en plan du bâti, montrant la commande du dispositif déplaceur et retourneur des comes tibles; la fig. 6 est une vue en coupe suivant la ligne A-A. de la fig. 3;
la fig. 7 montre â plus grande échelle et moitié en élévation, moitié en coupe axiale longitudinale, suivant la ligne B-B de la fig. 8, un élément ou appareil de la machine; la fig. 8 montre ce même élément partie en élévation et partie en coupe suivant la ligne C-G de la fig. 7;
Le pignon denté 40 (fig. 3) calé sur celui des arbres 23 situé à gauche dans le dessin (fig. 4) entraîne la roue dentée 41 (fig. 1, 3, 4, 5 et 6) solidaire d'un pignon 42 qui en traîne la rotation de la roue dentée 43 à laquelle est excentriquement fixée en 44 une bielle 45 reliée à l'extrémité d'un levier 46 qu'elle fait osciller et qui entraîne avec lui l'oscillation d'un arbre transversal 47 sur lequel il est calé et qui, tourillonné en 48 aux deux côtés longitudinaux du bâti, porte à ses deux extrémités, au delà des coussinets, des bras 49 situés de part et d'autre des côtés longitudinaux de la machine et formant, avec le levier 46, un levier du premier genre;
Machine for peeling potatoes and other edibles. The object of the present invention is a machine for peeling potatoes and other edibles by means of rough rotary members.
According to the invention, the support surface for the objects to be peeled off consists of the rough rotary members themselves, arranged at a determined distance from each other and controlled by a common member.
The accompanying drawing shows, by way of example, two embodiments of the object of the invention.
In this drawing, figs. 1 and 2 are longitudinal elevational views of a first embodiment; fig. 3 is a cross-sectional view thereof with a part broken away and a part in section; fig. 4 is a plan view, the edible retaining sheets removed; fig. 5 is a plan view of the frame, showing the control of the device for moving and turning over the edibles; fig. 6 is a sectional view taken along line A-A. of fig. 3;
fig. 7 shows on a larger scale and half in elevation, half in longitudinal axial section, taken along line B-B of FIG. 8, an element or apparatus of the machine; fig. 8 shows this same element partly in elevation and partly in section along line C-G of FIG. 7;
fig. 9 is a section through the same element along line D-D of FIG. 7; fig. 10 shows a plan view of the same element, with the cover and the rough rotating members removed in the left half to show the gears in engagement; figs. 11 and 12 are a cross section and a longitudinal section of another embodiment.
In fig. 1 to 6, 11 indicates the frame formed by two longitudinal sides joined by transverse spacers 12 and carrying three devices 13 for peeling. It is in these devices 13 (fig. 7 to 10) that the axes 14 carrying the rough rotary members 15 are journaled.
The axes 14 of the same transverse row are engaged with each other by means of gears 16 (fig. 8 and 10) closed in a chamber 17 formed, on the apparatus 13, by the upper cover 18. , slum that the axes 14 located on the longitudinal center line extend downward, through the apparatus 13, into a chamber 19 formed on it by a lower cover 20, and each carry a helical gear 21. in engagement with a worm 22 of a shaft 23 journalled in the end walls of the chamber 19 and carrying, at one end, a toothed pinion 24 intended for the chain drive as will be explained below.
When the shaft 23 is rotated, its worm screws 22 drive the helical gears 21 of the axes 14 located on the longitudinal center line of the apparatus 13 and each of these axes 14 drives, by its rotation and by means of the gears 16, the rotation of all the axes 14 of the same transverse row.
The chambers 17 and 19 of the devices 13 can be filled with lubricant, and, to prevent water from entering these chambers, through the passages of the pins 14 in the cover 18, said pins 14 carry a cap 25 of which. the edges descend lower than the point of insertion of the axis 14 in the cover 18; it is on each of these caps 25 that the rough members 15 are fixed, the drawing of which shows two embodiments.
Each of the devices 13 comprises two journals 26, concentric with the shafts 23, engaged in the bearings 27 bolted to the frame 11. Each of the three journals 26 located on the same side of the machine is fixed, by means of screws 28, a lever 29 extending downward (fig. 2). These levers are secured at their lower end by rods 30 and one of them is extended upwards to form an operating arm 31 able to move on a sector 32 and determine the oscillation of the devices 13 around their journals 26, in the position indicated in dotted lines, for unloading the machine.
The shafts 23 carrying, in the devices 13, the worm screws 22, bear, beyond the toothed gears 24, on an auxiliary frame 33 fixed to the frame 11 (fig. 1, 3 and 4) beyond which the device 13 in the middle carries, wedged on it, a pulley 34 of control of the machine on this side of which it carries, wedged on it, three toothed gears 24, two of which are connected by chains 35 to the toothed gears 24 of the two neighboring devices 13, while the third actuates by a chain 36 taking on toothed pinions 37 of their axis, two transverse rollers 38, journaled in the two parts 39 (fig. 3) fixed on the two longitudinal sides of the frame 11,
above the bearings 27 in which the journals 26 of the devices 13 are engaged.
These rollers 38, which can also be rough members, are intended to connect the three devices 13 to form a support without solutions of continuity.
The toothed pinion 40 (fig. 3) wedged on that of the shafts 23 located on the left in the drawing (fig. 4) drives the toothed wheel 41 (fig. 1, 3, 4, 5 and 6) secured to a pinion 42 which drags the rotation of the toothed wheel 43 to which is eccentrically fixed at 44 a connecting rod 45 connected to the end of a lever 46 which it causes to oscillate and which drives with it the oscillation of a transverse shaft 47 on which it is wedged and which, journaled at 48 on the two longitudinal sides of the frame, carries at its two ends, beyond the bearings, arms 49 located on either side of the longitudinal sides of the machine and forming, with the lever 46, a lever of the first kind;
these arms 49 cause in their oscillation movement the longitudinal displacement of two connecting rods 50 connected at 51 to two lanyards 52 which they drive and which roll, by means of rollers 53, on the longitudinal parts 39. These side members 52 are fixed combs 54 with double teeth inclined downwards, and forming two slopes, the teeth of which are engaged between the rough rotating members and which, in their back and forth movement, move the edibles, slip under them and the return. The combs are arranged above the ru geux rotary members.
FIG. 6 shows the combs in their extreme left position and it will be understood that the three combs will keep their distance and will move to the right while keeping it, each of them therefore being assigned to an apparatus 13 of the machine. Above the machine is placed a sheet metal box formed of sides 55 and a cover 56. The sides 55 are kept apart by spacers 57 carrying two sheets 58 intended to preserve the parts of the machine, and in particular its bearings. and journals, from contact with water. brought, for washing the edibles during their treatment, by the tubes 59 .qui are for views of a multiplicity of flow holes directed downward.
A collector plate 60, inclined, is placed under the machine to receive and pour out the peeled edibles as will be explained later.
The operation of the machine is as follows. A layer of potatoes or other peelable edibles is introduced through the cover 56 on the rough members 15 and cleaning water is admitted through the nozzles 59. The pulley 34 is then set in motion, either at hand by means of a crank not shown, or by means of any motor, and on the one hand, by the chain sprockets 24 and the chains 35, the rotation of the shafts 23 of the devices 13 and that of all the rough organs 15 of these devices, and on the other hand, by the chain 36 and the toothed gears 37, the rotation of the rollers 38.
Simultaneously, the pinion 40 drives, by the toothed wheel 41 and the pinion 42, the rotation of the toothed wheel 43 on which the connecting rod 45 is fixed; the latter causes the arm 46 to oscillate and with it the shaft 47 and the arms 49 which, by the connecting rods 50, impart a reciprocating movement to the side members 52 which roll by their rollers 53 on the guides 39. The combs 54 fixed transversely to these spars 52 are driven with them and, during their reciprocating movement, move and re-rotate the edibles which are retained by the sides 55 of the upper box.
When the edibles are peeled, the lever 31 is moved on the sector 32 from the position indicated in solid lines in fig. 2, to that indicated in dotted lines in this same figure, to make the three devices 13 oscillate around their journals 26 and thus allow the food to fall into the collecting plate 60 from which they fall into any collecting tank arranged under this sheet. The devices 13 are then restored to their original position by returning the mattoeuvre arm 31 to the position indicated in solid lines in FIG. 2, the machine is re-loaded and the operation described is repeated.
In the embodiment shown in FIGS. 11 and 12, the supporting surface for the peelable edibles is cylindrical and at the same time inclined. The rough rotary members 151 are arranged on the inner face of an inclined hollow cylinder 61 and directed radially. A conical toothed crown 62 integral .du hollow cylinder -61 meshes with a conical toothed pinion 63 and serves to rotate said cylinder. The rotation of the rough rotary members 151 is caused by the extreme toothed pinions 15 which mesh with a stationary toothed ring 64 concentric with the hollow cylinder 61.
When the latter rotates, the members 151 are also set in rotation, the operation being continuous. The edibles introduced at the upper end of the hollow cylinder constantly change, by the rotation of said cylinder, their position on the support surface formed by the rotary members rough and leave said cylinder at its lower end, after having been peeled.
