Aiguisoir pour faux et outils similaires. L'objet de la présente invention est un aiguisoir pour faux et outils similaires dont l'action est destinée notamment à substituer celle du chaplage usuel. Cet aiguisoir com porte une molette abrasive à directrices cir culaires, amovible et pouvant pivoter sur un axe fixé à un manche métallique de manou- vre dont un bossage sert d'appui à la face non aiguisée de l'outil. L'angle que forme la directrice de plus grand diamètre du corps de la molette abrasive avec la surface d'ap pui du bossage susmentionné du manche de manouvre est celui exigé en pratique pour un bon aiguisage de l'outil.
Les fig. 1, 2 et 3 de la planche unique ci-jointe représentent, à titre d'exemple, une des formes d'exécution de l'objet de l'inven tion visant son emploi pour l'aiguisage des faux, soit précisément: La fig. 1, une vue de côté de l'aiguisoir, La fig. 2, une vue dudit dans la direc tion clé l'axe de la molette, avec protection antérieur enlevée, La fig. 3, le détail du montage de la mo lette sur son axe. La molette est représentée en 1, ses deux directrices circulaires figurant en 1' et 1''. Elle est maintenue sur le manche de manou- vre 2 au moyen d'un axe 3. Ce dernier com porte une tige filetée 4 suivie d'une partie à section carrée 5 laquelle vient se loger dans un évidement correspondant du manche de manouvre 2.
Il se termine, à la suite de cette partie à section carrée, par une tête 6. De cette façon, l'axe même est rendu solidaire du manche 2, par rapport auquel il ne peut subir aucun mouvement de rotation. Sur la tige filetée 4 vient se visser un écrou 7 lequel, en fonctionnement normal, maintient la mo lette dans une position fixe et déterminée en la pinçant entre sa propre face inférieure et le manche de manouvre 2. Le dévissage de l'écrou 7 permet naturellement toute rotation désirable pour une molette montée sur l'ai- guisoir, ainsi que le remplacement d'une mo lette par une autre.
Le manche 2 comporte, à part une ailette destinée à protéger les doigts de la personne chargée de la manoeuvre de l'aiguisoir et les parties indispensables pour assurer une bonne prise de l'appareil, un bossage 8 sur la face 8' duquel s'appuie la surface de la faux dont l'aiguisage n'est pas nécessaire. L'angle 9 formé par la face 8' et la directrice de coupe de la molette a été choisi expérimentalement de façon à obtenir un bon aiguisage de la faux.
La protection 10 qui est représentée dans la fig. 1 est supposée enlevée, pour plus de clarté dans la fig. 2.
On se rend compte que l'action abrasive de la molette contre la face à aiguiser de la faux, guidée entre la surface d'appui 8' et la molette même, peut remplacer avantageuse ment l'opération longue et fatigante du mar telage, ou celles qui, pour d'autres outils que les faux, sont destinées à produire le même effet.

The object of the present invention is a sharpener for scythes and similar tools, the action of which is intended in particular to replace that of the usual chapling. The wheel is represented at 1, its two circular guides appearing at 1 'and 1' '. It is held on the operating handle 2 by means of a pin 3. The latter comprises a threaded rod 4 followed by a portion with a square section 5 which is housed in a corresponding recess of the operating handle 2.
It ends, following this square section part, with a head 6. In this way, the axis itself is made integral with the handle 2, with respect to which it cannot undergo any rotational movement. A nut 7 is screwed onto the threaded rod 4 which, in normal operation, maintains the worm in a fixed and determined position by clamping it between its own lower face and the operating handle 2. Unscrewing the nut 7 allows of course, any rotation desirable for a knob mounted on the sharpener, as well as the replacement of one wheel by another.
The handle 2 comprises, apart from a fin intended to protect the fingers of the person responsible for operating the sharpener and the essential parts to ensure a good grip of the device, a boss 8 on the face 8 'of which s' supports the surface of the scythe which does not need sharpening. The angle 9 formed by the face 8 ′ and the cutting director of the wheel was chosen experimentally so as to obtain good sharpening of the scythe.
The protection 10 which is shown in FIG. 1 is assumed to be removed, for the sake of clarity in FIG. 2.
We realize that the abrasive action of the wheel against the face to be sharpened of the scythe, guided between the bearing surface 8 'and the wheel itself, can advantageously replace the long and tiring operation of mar telage, or those which, for other tools than the fakes, are intended to produce the same effect.
