Sealed bearing for compressors without cable gland and with pressure lubrication. The subject of the invention is a sealed bearing for compressors without a stuffing box and with pressure lubrication, such as, for example, an ice machine compressor bearing, characterized by a coil spring housed inside it. an annular chamber of the bearing, resting, on one side on the flange of a sleeve mounted with greasy friction and fixed on the shaft so as to be able to slide, and on the other on a steel washer made integral with the by means of a nut of a second keyed sleeve on the shaft, this spring tending to keep these two bearing pieces pressed tightly against packing washers fixed to the bearing around the shaft at both ends of the annular chamber of the landing.
The appended drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the object of the invention and a variant of this form. Fig. 1 is an axial section, and FIG. 2, a detail view also in axial section of the variant.
In the embodiment shown in fig. 1, the body of the bearing consists of a part a in which the usual conduits for lubrication b are formed, and by a plug c which is screwed to one of the ends of the part a.
The bearing thus formed comprises the usual ball bearings d. e indicates the seal ensuring the tightness of the connection of the bearing to the compressor housing, and e1 the seal playing the same role for the seal between part a and plug c.
On the shaft f are mounted, in an annular chamber a1 formed in the centrade part of the bearing, the following components: a sleeve g keyed on the shaft, a steel washer h, a nut i screwed onto a threaded portion of the shaft, forcing this washer between it and the sleeve g; a bronze sleeve k fitted with greasy friction on the shaft and keyed so as to be able to slide on it; a steel washer l and a felt or leather washer m, fixed by means of an ankle n at the bottom of the chamber a1 in the stopper c. The sleeve k is kept pressed against the washer l by means of a coil spring o, bearing on one side on the washer h and, on the other, on a flange k] of the sleeve k.
On the sleeve there are still mounted inside the. chamber a1 a bronze washer p and a felt or leather washer q, which are attached to the bearing in the same way as the washers l and m.
In the variant shown in fig. 2, the two washers p and q are replaced by a single bronze washer r, comprising a spherical bearing face.
The lubricating oil arrives under pressure in the chamber a1, which it fills through the conduit b and the annular space which exists between the bottom of the threaded part of the part a and the plug c. In the embodiment shown in fig. 1, it also opens behind the washer q by a small branch b1.
From chamber A1, this oil passes through the ball bearings. From one of these latter, it falls into the crankcase forming an oil bath for the lubrication by splashing the crankshaft, and from the other, where it arrives through a duct s formed in the flange k1 and through the groove of the key of the sleeve, in the empty space between the driving pulley (not shown) and the plug c.
The wear which occurs on the sealed friction surfaces existing between the washers h and p, on the one hand (or h and r in the variant), and the sleeve k and the washer l, on the other hand, is compensated for. automatically under the action of the spring o.
