Lubrication device for internal combustion engine. The object of the present invention is a lubricating device for an operating engine. This device is characterized in that it comprises a channel which, after having passed axially through one of the ends of the crank shaft, opens onto the periphery of the part of this shaft which passes through the connecting rod head, so as to abundantly lubricate the space comprised between these two parts, a pipe connected to the lubrication tank entering the axial part of said channel.
The accompanying drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the object of the invention.
a is the crank shaft mounted inside a housing, a portion of which is shown at b. c is the crank pin of the crank shaft around which the connecting rod big end pivots, not shown. Between the crank pin and this connecting rod head is arranged a crown, also not shown, of rolling rollers. As is well known, the big end is engaged on the crank pin and then the crankshaft is inserted.
It comprises four portions, one which crosses axially the left end of the crank shaft, the second which crosses obliquely one of the arms of the crank, the third which crosses obliquely the crank pin and the fourth which crosses the one. - here also, but perpendicular to the stretch to the plane of the figure, and which opens up on the perimeter of this crankpin. e1 and e2 are stoppers. f is a steel tube which penetrates into the axial part of the duct e and which passes through the casing b as well as a lubrication chamber g, mounted externally to the latter and connected to the lubrication pump by a duct h.
An internally threaded cap i engages on a corresponding projection it threads on the outside of the chamber g and closes the tube f while applying it in a sealed manner against a shoulder e3 of the duct e. The oil enters from the chamber q into the tube f through holes made in the latter.
In the construction shown, the pressurized oil supplied to the engine opens out of this ring gear, the centrifugal force spraying oil droplets into the rest of the crankcase, and mainly into the cylinder.
