Fig. 8 bezieht sich auf die Einstellung der Ringsegmente 11, 12 für \ @4- bis "/4rapportige Muster.
Shuttle embroidery machine with control for lockstitch and satin stitch. In shuttle embroidery machines with control for lockstitch and satin stitch, the threads are pulled from the bobbins and the needle threads are tensioned by the small thread guide which, depending on the type of stitch, is controlled by one of two eccentric strokes. This known control is made so that that thread head for the purpose of pulling the threads from the bobbins and tensioning the needle threads leads to a fairly uniform movement and temporally in an unchanged manner for all repeat sizes and the tightening of the stitches after the exit of the needles from the fabric through the large thread guide.
For execution of satin stitch this arrangement is only suitable to a limited extent, that is, for firmer fabrics and small repeats, in which the same requires a certain strength of the fabric to be embroidered and a larger number of threads.
In order to eliminate these disadvantages, according to the present invention an adjustable stroke eccentric is provided which has a recess in front of its outermost eccentric point, which causes the large thread guide to swing out for the purpose of tensioning the needle threads when executing satin stitch Deepening an initial delay and subsequent acceleration of the oscillating movement of the said thread guide which acts on the needle thread tensioning is achieved, while on the other hand the adjustability of the stroke causes the tensioning of the needle threads,
or the tightening of the stitch loops with increasing repeat size can be done in the less advanced position of the shuttle, and in any case in such a way that the stitches are tightened before the needles emerge from the fabric.
The subject of the invention is brought to the presentation of the drawing, for example.
Fig. 1 shows in side elevation in part a two-day embroidery machine, with only the upper one of the two needle carriages being illustrated; Fig. 2 shows a detail; 3 to 6 serve to explain the operation of the embroidery tools; Figures 7 through 9 serve the same purpose. It denotes 1 the needle eccentric, which is attached to the drive shaft 2 and causes the back and forth movement of the two needle rulers by known means, on which the upper ruler shown is denoted by 3. 4 is the large thread guide belonging to the upper needle ruler and 5 is the small thread guide.
The small thread conductors are controlled in a known manner by a stroke eccentric (not shown) arranged on the shaft 2, that is to say they are swung back and forth. The upper and lower shaft 6 of the large thread guide are connected by arms 7 with a control rod 8 in connec tion, which mediates the oscillating movement of the large thread guide. For this purpose. the control rod 8 has at its fork-shaped lower end a roller 9, which is located in the plane of rotation of a fixed on the drive shaft 2 disc 10 be (Fig. 1, 2). This is two stroke eccentrics with a peripheral part eccentric to the shaft 2, of which the left one (FIG. 1) has two ring segments 11, 12.
which are adjustable in the circumferential sense by means of screws 1.3 reaching through perforated slots on the disk 10. The same screws are used to adjust two ring segments 14, 14 'present on the right side of the disk 10; In Fig. 2, the ring segment 14 'is covered by the ring segment 12 ver. The roller 9 can be axially displaced by adjusting organs (not shown) and adjusted so that it is completely in the rotational path of one or the other of the mentioned two stroke eccentrics, which are intended to control the rod 8.
The right stroke eccentric (FIG. 1) with the ring segments 14, 14 'is used to control the rod 8 when the machine lock stitch is executed, in which case the roller 9 moves axially to the right from the position shown in FIG is to be postponed.
The rod 8, which now stands up eccentrically on the right stroke by means of the roller 9 and is moved up and down by the disc 10 and the ring segments attached to it on the right, controls the large thread guides 4 in such a way that they are embroidered when the needles enter the Swing fabric A in the direction away from the fabric to tension the needle threads.
When executing Satin Stitch on the machine, the movement of the control rod 8 is to be taken from the other stroke eccentric, designated 10, 11, 12, for which purpose the roller 9 in the rig. 1 illustrated location is to be set.
The ring segment 11 (run-up piece) is used to regulate the oscillating movement of the large thread guides in the direction of the fabric A away for tensioning the needle threads, while the ring segment 12 (run-off piece) regulates the swinging of the large thread guides towards the fabric A for the purpose of loosening the threads allowed between needles and bobbins; the shaft 2 rotates in the direction of the arrow according to FIG. 2.
On the ring segment 11 is, as ersicht Lich from Fig. 2, in front of the test lying from the shaft 2, so the outermost eccentric point at which the roller 9 in Fig. 2 is fixed, a recess 11 'is provided, which a initial deceleration and subsequent acceleration of the oscillating movement of the large thread guides in the direction of fabric A away, in which sense the needle threads are pulled in. Thereby it is achieved that the upward moving shuttle easily in that of him.
The thread loop presented to the embroidery tools can penetrate, while on the other hand at the given moment an inhibition of the withdrawal of the thread loop from the boat is caused, as will be explained below.
According to Fig. 3, the needle ruler 3, the two thread guides 4, 5 and the shuttle 15 are in the rest position. According to Figure 4, the needle ruler 3 and the small thread head 5 have been moved against the fabric A, the thread conductor has pulled the needle threads from the bobbins. The needle ruler is brought closer to the fabric and makes a temporary backward movement in a known manner in order to form the loop 16 of the needle threads (Fig. 5), while the small thread conductor swings back at rest and the large thread swings out towards the fabric A for loosening the needle threads, as can be seen from FIG. 5; The front end of the shuttle 15 sliding upward in its path penetrates the loop mentioned.
Afterwards the large thread guide 4 swings into its opposite end position for the purpose of tensioning the needle threads. Depending on whether the stitch loop 16 still finds support when the thread is drawn through the thread guide 4 at the rear end of the shuttle, it has frictional resistance on the shuttle. With a certain frictional resistance, the needle threads are pulled off the freely rotating thread roller and the large thread conductor is provided with a greater length of pulled thread, which promotes the gentle application of the stitch loops to the fabric. The tightening of the stitch loops takes place or is initiated during the final movement of the wire conductor 4 from position I according to FIG. 6 into the position indicated by II with the support of the receding needles 17.
The frictional resistance of the stitch loop on the shuttle can be changed according to the rapport size of the pattern, that is, smaller or larger according to the existing number of needle threads, in order to compensate for the total resistance opposing the large thread ladder by fitting the ring segment 11 to the Disc 10 adjusts.
In the case of the setting of the ring segment 11 shown in FIG. 2, it is assumed that the machine is set to a 44/4 repeat pattern. With III and IV two radials to the shaft 2 are drawn, which the relative position of Re the outermost eccentric point ces ring segment on the disc 10 when setting the ring segment for BEZW. Specify 4/4 repeat pattern; the ring segment 12 is in each case corresponding to the setting made of the ring segment 11 on the disc 10 a set. With V a radial is drawn dotted as a center line, which indicates the position in which the roller 9 is in the setting of the ring segment 11 drawn in full lines when the ship chen approaches its maximum position and the large thread guide according to FIG. 6 of I to II its final movement begins.
According to Fig. 7, which relates to the A position of the ring segments 11, 12 for 44/4 to 24/4 repeat pattern, the stitch loop of the thread pulled by the thread guide 4 is on the boat approaching the maximum position still considerable union frictional resistance . Fig. 8 relates to the setting of the ring segments 11, 12 for \ @ 4- to \ "/ 4-repeat patterns. The thread tightening takes place later (with a larger number of threads) and the stitch loop therefore finds less frictional resistance on the shuttle compared to FIG. 7 .
According to FIG. 9, which relates to the setting of the ring segments 11, 12 for 12/4 to 4/4 repeat patterns, the stitch loop finds the lowest frictional resistance on the boat, since the thread tightening compared to FIG. 7 , 8 starts later, that is, only when the shuttle is closer to the top of its path.
In all cases, the satin stitches are tightened before the needles emerge from the fabric. The satin stitches are gently applied to the fabric so that it is spared, and the individual stitches come to lie flat against each other. In the manner explained, flawless satin stitch work can be achieved with every repeat size and even on the most delicate fabrics, such as tulle, transparent and pile fabric, and more stitches can be carried out in the same time as before.
