Par suite, l'électro 42 e4 excité imrnédiament, et la partie mobile de l'enregistreur 21 quitte sa positron normale et continue;
Si, quelque temps après le commencement du fonctionnement des appareils indiqués, l'abonné désire ramener les appareils à leur condition normale, il n'a qu'à raccrocher son récepteur. Cela produit une interruption du eireuit de contrôle, plus longue que les inter ruptions de l'envoyeur. Le relais de ligne 26 est neutralisé !lutant un temps relativement long, et le relais lent25, fonctionnant alors, liin;
De plus, le commutateur24 est mû pendant la première partie de chaque mouvement dans ses positions successives par un circuit placé sous le contrôle du relais 25 et pour le reste de chacun des ses mouvements, par un cir cuit local contrôlé par le commutateur lui- même. Lorsque le relais ::5 ferme le circuit qu'il contrôle, le commutateur 24 se met en mouvement et continue ;jusqu'à ce due le cir cuit local soit fermé;
Telephone installation. The present invention relates to a telephone installation in which titi automatic switch, put by one. independent power, can be brought to the desired position by the pulses sent to its remote point control circuit.
According to the invention, this switch arrives, step by step, in the desired position, under the control of a single relay placed in said control circuit, and which obeys said pulses.
The accompanying drawing shows, by way of example and schematically, one embodiment of the object of the invention.
The subscriber's set, indicated in 10, includes a usual transmitter, receiver, an induction coil, a ringtone, a condenser titi and a switch hook. It also includes the eiivoyeui 'impulse device 11.
This apparatus, shown schematically, is of the type of cells in which the operation consists in bringing a single mobile part to the point where it indicates the u11 of successive digits designating the number of the desired subscriber line, and in which this mobile part is then brought back, from then this figure to the normal position,
the control pulses being produced only in this return movement, and corresponding, in number., to the figure on which this moving part has first been placed. In the indicated sender, these pulses take the form of interrupts (the circuit.
More specifically, lever 1? is all bark and maneuvered, in the direction indicated by the arrow, up to the titi point from which, in either return movement.
the moving part interrupts the contacts 13 and 14, a number of times corresponding to the number to which this moving part has been brought. These interruptions are very short, except the last, which takes place when the moving part arrives in the normal position. This last interruption is only by long compared to the previous ones, but in fact is still relatively short.
In this form of sender, the so-called circuit interruption, during the forward movement of the moving part, is prevented by the closing of a shunt on the contact 13, 14, by the lever 1 ?, which is provided. on the shaft of the moving part; and comes into contact with: the part 15 which is fixed on this shaft.
A to the right of the drawing, there are shown a number of recording mechanisms 21. 22, 23: recording titi hundreds, titi tens, titi units. A switch 24. called ..combineur ”is associated with these recorders and with other devices of the recording and control device which are not indicated.
This combiner is of the type described in Swiss patents 57659 of July 24, 1911, 57658 of July 19, 1911, 53341 of August 25, 19139 and 53141 of the same date. It checks the contacts indicated below: the dotted line.
The movable part of the conrbineur 21. receives the movement of the motor shaft by means of a magnetic clutch, the electro-magnet of which is provided with two differential windings, one of said windings being. included in the externally controlled circuit and the other in the local circuit.
Each of the recorders is also of similar construction to the previous specification, except that the motor electromagnet, instead of having a single winding, has two differential windings, one of which is controlled by the control circuit. this coinbirieur, and the other by the local contact or position of the combiner itself.
A quick-acting, tri-sensitive line relay 26 controls recorders 21, 2, and 23, and also combiner 24, through slow-acting relay 25.
-Vil relay 27, which can be said "start-up", and also associated art control and recording mechanism.
- he or she is not a member of a call, the calling line is connected, through switches operating automatically (indicated in 28 and 29), in a separate circuit (the connection indicated in 30 ..
The devices associated with this connection circuit, which moreover do not form part of the invention in any way and are not shown, cause the combiner to switch to the third position controlling the contacts 31, 32 and 33. As a result, the contacts 31 lower, 32 upper and 33 are closed and kept closed. Another combiner, set in motion by the associated combinator. <ru connection circuit, but which is not indicated here, closes contact 34.
To initiate a call, the subscriber must unhook his receiver. Then, by closing contacts 31, 3 'and 34, the following circuit is established: battery, relay (line 2 (3 contact 35, contact 34, lower contact 31, line wire, contacts 13 and 14. subscriber station transmitter, primary winding of the induction coil, line wire, upper contact 3: 'and earth Relay 26 is energized.
At the same time, a circuit is closed by the contacts 33 and 36, and energizes the relay 27. This closes a circuit through the lower contact 37, to release the combiner 24 from its first position, and, under the help of his local contact 38. bring him to his fourth position. During this movement, no change takes place in the line relay circuit 26.
In recorders of the type indicated at 1, 22 and 23, a local spring, controlled by the recorder, and indicated respectively at 39, 40, 41, is opened only when the recorder is in its normal position orr in some other own stop position. This spring (39, 40 and 41) is closed in all other positions.
When the line relay 26 was first energized by the establishment of the so-called station circuit, a titi cir cuit was closed for the battery recorder 21, by the left winding of the electrical switch. -inotor thereof 42, the contact 43, the right armature and the idle contact of the slow relay 25 and the work contact and the ar mature of the line relay 26.
Consequently, the electro 42 e4 immediately excited, and the moving part of the recorder 21 leaves its normal positron and continues;
Even so, in an intermediate position between its normal position and the first stop position, the local contact 3 '._ 3 is closed. Then the second circuit, for 42, is completed through evening straight winding, and acts as differential winding with respect to. evening left winding.
As the current passes through the two windings of the electromagnet-motor in opposite directions, this is neutralized and stops the moving part (the recorder, which remains in this intermediate position until , by neutralizing line relay 26, the left winding circuit is opened.
Then, the local circuit by the contact 39 being held in hand, the electro 42 is still energized, and the mobile part of the recorder passes into its first stop position where it is maintained by the opening of the local contact 39 This neutralization of the line relay 26, in normal operation, takes place only when, the mobile part of the sender (post bed having been brought into the desired position, this part begins to return to its normal position.
It can be assumed that the subscriber has seen the mobile part of his sender in a position such that it produces four pulses (three short and one long), during either return. The first break in the circuit produces the neutralization of the line relay and the resulting movement of recorder 21 to its first stop position, as has been said.
After this short break, the circuit is again established and energizes the line relay 26, which, by attracting either armature, sets the moving part of the recorder in motion. This part continues ii, moving to its second intermediate position, where the local contact 39 is still closed, and the moving part stops, and waits for the sub sequent neutralization of the line relay 2 </ B > 6 by the second break in the subscriber's control circuit. As has been assumed, the subscriber has placed his sender in such a way that it produces four pulses.
As a result, it can be seen that the recorder 21 arrives in its fourth stop position at the fourth. circuit break. At this time, however, due to the longer break in the circuit at contact 13 and 14, line relay 26 is neutralized for sufficient time to produce the pull of the armatures of slow relay 25. The left armature of this relay 25 therefore closes a circuit, via the upper contact 37. which brings the combiner 24 out of its fourth position, thick, under the control of the contact 38, brings it to the sixth position.
This movement opens the contact 43 and closes the upper contact 44, thus accomplishing the permutation of the titt of the recorders to the other, and associating the recorder 22 with the line relay 26 in place of the recorder 21. L The right armature of slow relay 25, fully e-tetrips, has kept the relay circuit open at recorder 21.
However, the circuit was still closed at contacts 13.14, after the longest break, and the subscriber placed either sender on the second digit of the desired league.
When the moving part returns to normal, the second series of pulses controls the operation of recorder 22 and brings it to the desired position, precisely in the same way as for recorder 21.
When the recorder 22 comes to the desired position, the long pulse is transmitted through the control circuit, and the slow relay 25 is again energized to move the combiner 24 from the sixth to the literal position. Then, the lower contact 44 is closed, and the positioning of the recorder 23 takes place, in a similar fashion, under the control of the subscriber's voyeur.
The three digits of the desired line have now been transmitted and stored on recorders 21, 22 and 23. These recorders are ready to control the selection of the desired line by the necessary automatic selector switches.
When the combiner 24 leaves its fourth position and passes and) ciriq.uiètne, hettregister 21 having been completely silent in position, it closes the upper contact 45, which can then cause the operation of such other parts of the apparatus, depending on the requirements. needs.
Moreover, when the combiner 24 leaves its eighth position, by the third excitation called slow relay 25, it closes contacts 45 lower and 46. The latter completes a circuit which causes the operation of some device useful for the desired connection.
At this rise, the lower contact 45 is closed so that, after setting the position of the circuit expander device, not indicated, the uombineur 24 and all the contacts controlled by it are returned to normal condition. When the combiner leaves its first position, the contact 36 is open, so that the relay 27 can no longer control the eumbiner '' 4 during the operation of the apparatus.
If, some time after the start of operation of the devices indicated, the subscriber wishes to return the devices to their normal condition, he need only hang up his receiver. This produces an interrupt in the control eireuit, which is longer than the interruptions of the sender. Line relay 26 is neutralized ! Lasting a relatively long time, and slow relay 25, then functioning, liin;
_-laughs the conibineur 24 directly in the ninth position. in which it remains until this time all the other devices, which may have operated by closing the contact 45 in the fifth position, are returned to normal position as a result of the prolonged failure of the station circuit.
Then, following the closing of a circuit comprising the contact 46. 1, combiner 24 goes into the normal position.
The relative lengths of the different interrupts which cause the three previous operations are such that the shortest interrupts are not large enough to prevent relay 25 being hexed.
The longer interrtiptioti, due to the functionality of the subscriber's sender, is shorter than the time taken. the combiner to switch, for example, from position 4 èl position 3, or from position 6 to position 8. The interruption which causes the devices to return. due to the operation of the subscriber's hook switch, must.
only be long enough to move cotninator '? 4 to eighth position and out of that position.
It suffices if the armatures of the line relay 25, by responding to short interrupts, break the circuit of its right work contact, the operation of the system not requiring any circuit to be established at the right rest contact of this relay, except during the relatively long interruption of the circuit, by the sender of the station, or the interruption of the circuit, when the hook of the switch is reset.
From what has been explained above, it is evident that the movement of switch 24 is caused first by the operation of relay 27, but it is stopped by a device controlled by, @ the @ connnutatenr him- even. The pulses produced by the manually operated device 11 control the movement of the switch 4 by means of the single contact 37 included in the switch control circuit.
The switch advances by exactly one step for each closing of this contact 37, whatever the duration of this closing or that of the interval between two of these closings.
In addition, the switch 24 is moved during the first part of each movement in its successive positions by a circuit placed under the control of the relay 25 and for the rest of each of its movements, by a circuit cooked. local controlled by the switch itself. When relay :: 5 closes the circuit it controls, switch 24 starts up and continues until the local circuit is closed;
then it is stopped to start again when the circuit controlled by relay 21 is open.
