Ice for watches, compasses etc. The object of the present invention is a crystal for watches, compasses etc., characterized by a transparent disc, an annular support member. engaged in the edge of said. disk between the. upper and lower surface of the latter, said member having a retaining ridge to engage with the watch, compass etc.
The appended drawing represents, by way of examples, five embodiments of the object of the invention.
Fig. 1 is a plan view of a first embodiment; Fig. 2 is a diametral section of FIG. 1; Fig. 3 is a diametral section of a second embodiment; Fig. 4 is a plan view of a third embodiment: FIG. 5 is a diametrical section of. the. fig. 4; Fig. 6 is a cross section, also diametrically, of a fourth embodiment: FIG. 7 is a plan view of the fifth embodiment.
According to fig. 1 and 2, the crystal comprises the watch glass A, which could also be made of a flexible material, such as celluloid etc .; this watch glass comprises the annular member B, which can. be: made of metal, and has the edge C intended to allow its assembly on a. telescope, not shown in the accompanying drawing. A part D of the annular member engages the thickness of the glass between the upper faces <I> a, </I> and lower <I> a '</I> of glass A.
As shown in FIG. 3; where the. ice is. also a watch glass, the part. D of the annular member B is engaged between a. part of the edge u of the glass <I> A </I> and the annular part E which is glued to the lower part of the edge of the glass A, forming a unit with the latter.
The third. form. execution, shown in fig. 4 and 5, has a transparent disc. F in which is. incorporated a wire mesh F 'arranged so. let remain at its periphery, between the upper face f and the lower face f ', a groove limited by the lips <I> a </I> and <I> a' </I> in which the annular member G, terminated by the peripheral edge g, allowing its mounting in a groove provided on the object on which the disk F is to be mounted.
In fig. 6, which represents the fourth embodiment, the upper face of the saying that H ends with an edge h. and the lower face by a rib h '. A peripheral ring <I> J </I> is engaged between said edge h and the rib In. '.
As shown in FIG. the crown J is serrated at its inner edge and its serrations j penetrate the material of the disc H clans which they are engaged during manufacture. The diametrical section of this embodiment can. comply with either the fi, -. 2, or in fig. 3 or at fi ---. 6.
The annular members 13 G and .1 will preferably be made of metal.
