The invention relates to a baking oven according to the preamble of claim 1.
Conventional ovens have a resistance heater arranged on the cooking space (i.e., inside or near the muffle) with which the cooking space can be heated. In addition, they can also be equipped with a microwave generator whose radiation into the muffle or
the cooking chamber is introduced and there the food heated directly.
In combined devices with resistance heating and microwave generator, it turns out, however, that it can come with frequent use of the microwave generator to odors or the like.
The object of the present invention is to avoid or reduce this problem.
This object is achieved by the oven according to claim 1.
According to the claim, the microwave program is so designed that it automatically activates the resistance heater in addition to the microwave generator. The cooking space with the latter is not more than 100 deg. C heated.
This ensures that condensate does not form on the muffle walls or evaporates quickly, which reduces the formation of unpleasant odors caused by the contact of the condensate with dirt residues on the walls. By the maximum cooking chamber temperature to a maximum of 100 deg. C (preferably about 70 ° C) are limited, temperature-sensitive plastics, such as e.g. used for packaging or covering the food to be heated, spared.
Further preferred embodiments of the invention will become apparent from the dependent claims and from the examples now described with reference to the figures. Show
<Tb> FIG. 1 <sep> is a schematic representation of a combined oven and
<Tb> FIG. 2 <sep> the temperature profile and the individual phases in the microwave program.
The oven shown in Fig. 1 has a muffle 1, which encloses a cooking chamber 2, in which the goods is warmed. Inside or outside the cooking chamber 2 on the wall of the muffle 1, a resistance heating with upper and lower heat 3a and 3b is provided. As a second heat source is a microwave generator 4, the radiation is guided via a suitable line 5 in the cooking chamber 2. Further, a fan 6 is provided for generating a recirculating air flow. With a temperature sensor 7, the temperature of the air in the cooking chamber 2, the temperature of the wall of the cooking chamber 2 or another temperature in or on the cooking chamber 2 can be measured.
With a controller 8, the function of the resistance heater 3a, 3b, the microwave generator 4 and the fan 6 is controlled.
An input unit 9 allows the user to select a desired operating program and set its parameters, such as a. to set a temperature, heating power or duration.
The oven described allows food alternatively or in combination with the resistance heater 3a, 3b and the microwave generator 4 thaw, heat, heat, cook, bake, etc. He offers this appropriate programs, as they turn out known in the art.
When operating as a microwave oven, however, the additional measures described below are used.
To heat food by means of microwaves, the user selects the corresponding microwave program on the input unit 9.
He usually enters a time ttot during which the good is to be irradiated, and an operating power of the microwave generator. Then he starts the program.
Fig. 2 shows schematically the individual operating phases of the microwave program. When the program is started at time t0, the controller 8 switches on the microwave generator 4 in a first step. As soon as a time t1 = t0 + delta t is reached, the resistance heater 3a, 3b and the fan 6 are additionally switched on. Resistance heating 3a, 3b and fan 6 remain switched on until the temperature sensor 7 indicates a setpoint temperature Tmax (time t2). Then resistance heater 3a, 3b and fan 6 are turned off.
The microwave generator 4 is turned off when the time t3 = t0 + ttot is reached.
By turning on the resistance heater 3a, 3b is achieved that also heat the inner walls of the muffle 1 and the inner wall of the oven door. If, towards the end of the program, the food is so hot that steam escapes from it in large quantities, the interior walls are already so warm that substantially less condensate is produced than in the operation not according to the invention. In addition, once formed condensate is dried faster.
The drying effect is supported by the operation of the fan 6.
Preferably, as shown in the example above, the resistance heater is heated later than the microwave generator, i. delta t = t1 -t0 is turned on only after a certain time, and it is not activated at all if the program is ended or aborted before time t1.
This measure makes it possible to save energy during short heating processes, and it is based on the finding that the steam generation during short heating operations is very low, so that a protection of the walls from condensate is unnecessary.
In a preferred embodiment, the time delta t is fixed until switching on the resistance heater 3a, 3b and is at least 30 seconds, preferably about two minutes.
The resistance heater 3a, 3b is operated in the above embodiment only until the time t2, i. only until the temperature in or at the cooking chamber 2 exceeds the predetermined setpoint temperature Tmax.
Already at an earlier shutdown of the resistance heater 3a, 3b occurs when the program end t3 = t0 + ttot is reached before the time t2 or the program is manually canceled.
The target temperature Tmax should not exceed 100 deg. C amount, so that plastic parts in the cooking chamber 2 are not damaged. In practice, however, a target temperature Tmax of 60 to 80 deg is usually sufficient. C to prevent condensation or to remove it quickly. A preferred value of the target temperature Tmax is 70 deg. C.
It is also conceivable not to turn off the resistance heater 3a, 3b on reaching the target temperature Tmax, but to regulate so that the temperature at the temperature sensor 7 remains at this value.
In general, however, a single heating is sufficient to achieve the desired drying effect.
In the example of FIG. 2, the fan 6 is switched on and off together with the resistance heater 3a, 3b. However, it is also conceivable to keep it turned on during the entire program sequence. However, it turns out that (depending on the flow in the muffle), the fan can drive steam against the front door of the oven - in this case it is advantageous to turn off the fan 6, before the microwave generator 4 is turned off, so that in the last Program phase (at which most of the steam escapes from the food), the steam is not driven against the front door.
Preferably, the controller is configured such that the microwave program switches off the fan when the cooking chamber temperature is a predetermined value, in particular about 70 deg. C, exceeds.
In the above-described embodiment of the device, the time delta t is fixed until switching on the resistance heater 3a, 3b. However, it is also conceivable to choose this time depending on the set power of the microwave generator. This makes it possible to activate the resistance heater 3a, 3b at a lower microwave power only later than at larger. For the same reasons, it is advantageous to activate the resistance heating only when the operating power of the microwave generator 4 is selected above a predetermined threshold power Pmin.
The threshold power is greater than zero, in particular greater than 300 watts, preferably about 450 watts. This prevents that at low powers, such as e.g. be used for thawing frozen food and which normally produces little steam, unnecessarily the resistance heating is turned on.
Further, it is conceivable to equip the oven with sensors for detecting steam and / or the temperature of the food to be heated and the resistance heater 3a, 3b only turn on when an increased vapor development due to the sensor signal is emerging.
As mentioned, is achieved by these measures that the condensation on the walls of the muffle 2 and on the oven door when heating food by means of microwaves is at least reduced and that any condensate evaporates quickly again.
