Fig. 3 zeigt das Gerät im Einsatz.

The device according to the invention was specially developed for dismantling patient room doors in hospitals and old people's homes. In addition to the rubber seals in the door frame, most patient room doors also have a mechanical rubber strip built into the lower edge of the door, a so-called planet, which seals the door against the floor. In order to repair or replace this rubber strip, the door must be removed and folded over. However, since the doors are approx. 124 cm wide and up to 220 cm high and can weigh up to 150 kg, the hanging and folding can no longer be done by one person alone. This may take up to four people. With the device according to the invention, this can be done by one person alone, without damage to the building, e.g. Wall damage or body damage, e.g. Back damage.
The door can be folded down to the horizontal level with the device. The device is portable and can be driven up to the bed lift. Other doors or gates 60-140 cm wide and up to 250 cm high can also be accommodated. The device can be dismantled into 3 to 5 parts for car transportation or storage without the need for additional tools.
Execution and handling example:
Fig. 3 shows the device in use. The assembled device is moved vertically to the door with the pliers installed at the correct height. The vertical position is set with the handwheel 10. A shoe 17 attached to the lower end of the mounting rail is pushed at a distance of 8 mm below the door, and opened if the distance is too small. The two supports 5 are pulled out to the door and secured with the set screws 6. The two wheels 4 on the door side are somewhat relieved by turning back the handwheel 4A. The door is taken between the jaws 16A and screwed tight with the lever 16B. There are two types of door fasteners, namely one with hinges for hanging out, in which the doors are raised and unhooked with the crank 21 above the hinge pin, rusted hinges first being treated.
In the other door construction, the hinge pin is knocked out or the fastening screws are loosened until the door is free to be removed. Then move the device approx. 2 cm out of the hinge area for both door types. The swiveling part with the door clamped is tilted with the handwheel 10, whereby the center of gravity comes to lie between the rollers 4. This creates the weight balance. Otherwise there is a risk that the device will tip forward. The two screwed back wheels 4 are screwed down until it can be driven. If the door needs to be moved out of the room for any reason, it can be driven diagonally through the door. Other options: You lift the door with the crank 21 until the door can be turned to the horizontal position.
If this should not be feasible because the space is too low, the lever 22 is used to tilt the door more backwards until the door can be turned. If the door is horizontal, lever 22 is used to reset until the door rests against the frame at the bottom. So you can work on the broken planet with the shoe 17 removed. If you want to put the door of the horizontal in the plane, the door is placed backwards with lever 22. Depending on the height of the door and the movement of the tongs upwards, an overweight can arise when rotating from the vertical to the horizontal, which can be regulated with the lever 12. The door is always held lengthways with the chassis. If the two wheels 4 are turned up on the door side, the two supports 5 on the floor act as a brake. The device can accommodate doors from 60 cm to 140 cm wide and up to 250 cm high.
Depending on the door, the chassis 1 can still have a width of max. 25 cm can be widened, with the pin 2 serving as a lock. The device was tested on a gate wing (124 cm x 250 cm) and on a hospital door (124 cm x 215 cm). All four wheels are max. loadable with 280 kg. The device weighs approx. 49 kg.
