Abstract

The machine comprises a vertical rotary cylindrical brush arranged inside a coaxial cylindrical tube. The inside surface of tube is lined with a spiral for guiding the seeds.

  La présente invention a pour objet un appareil à peler des graines, notamment des graines de légumineuses, et plus particulièrement des pois chiches précuits. 



  On connaît divers appareils à peler des tubercules ou des fruits comprenant des corps rotatifs à surface abrasive ou des brosses. 



  EP 0 014 598 (ATLAS PACIFIC ENGINEERING COMPANY), par exemple, décrit un appareil à peler un produit tel que des fruits ou légumes, notamment des pommes de terre, comprenant une cage rotative en forme de cylindre dans l'axe duquel on introduit le produit, le pourtour de la cage étant formé d'une pluralité de rouleaux abrasifs, réalisés notamment sous forme de brosses rotatives adjacentes, et des moyens de contrôle de la vitesse à laquelle le produit descend dans la cage, réalisés notamment sous forme d'une vis d'Archimède disposée verticalement à l'intérieur de la cage. Un tel appareil est d'une construction relativement lourde et compliquée particulièrement adaptée au traitement de gros tonnages de pommes de terre, par exemple. 



  US 3 192 974 (FMC Corporation) décrit un appareil à peler les fruits, notamment des poires dont la pelure a déjà été traitée à la soude, comprenant un tambour rotatif horizontal dont la surface intérieure est garnie d'une vis spirale de transport, et une brosse horizontale rotative dont l'axe est parallèle à l'axe du tambour et dont les poils sont en contact avec le fond du tambour. Un tel appareil est adapté au traitement de produits relativement lourds et fragiles qui doivent être transportés sans heurts tout en étant délicatement frottés en surface. 



  La présente invention a pour but de proposer un appareil de construction simple et robuste qui permette de peler efficacement des graines, notamment des graines de légumineuses, et plus particulièrement des graines de pois chiches précuits dont la taille est modeste, comparée à celle des pommes de terre, par exemple, et qui permette en particulier de bien détacher la pelure de la graine sans abîmer cette dernière. 



  A cet effet, l'appareil selon la présente invention comprend une brosse cylindrique rotative verticale disposée à l'intérieur d'un tube cylindrique coaxial dont la  surface intérieure est garnie d'une spirale de guidage des graines, les poils de la brosse effleurant la spirale, une trémie d'alimentation en graines au-dessus de l'extrémité supérieure du tube, et des moyens d'entraînement de la brosse. 



  De manière surprenante, un tel appareil, de construction simple et robuste, permet effectivement de peler efficacement des graines, notamment des graines de légumineuses, et plus particulièrement des pois chiches précuits destinés à être déshydratés, sans abîmer la graine elle-même qui n'est pas brisée en plusieurs morceaux, par exemple. 



  Dans cet appareil, la brosse cylindrique peut comprendre un support axial auxquels sont fixés des poils radiaux relativement durs. Ce support axial peut être réalisé sous forme d'un cylindre de diamètre relativement important, supérieur à la moitié du diamètre de la brosse elle-même, par exemple. 



  Le tube cylindrique peut être réalisé en métal et être garni d'une spirale métallique soudée sur sa surface intérieure, par exemple. La spirale peut être formée d'un boudin métallique de section circulaire de diamètre suffisant pour retenir lesdites graines plaquées contre la surface intérieure du tube par les poils de la brosse, par exemple. 



  Les diamètres respectifs de la brosse et du tube sont tels que les poils de la brosse effleurent la spirale de guidage, c'est à dire qu'ils peuvent toucher son bord intérieur, voire la recouvrir au moins partiellement. 



  Le tube peut présenter une extrémité supérieure légèrement évasée facilitant l'introduction desdites graines par l'intermédiaire de ladite trémie, par exemple. Il peut présenter au contraire une extrémité inférieure resserrée assurant un écoulement ordonné des graines pelées, par exemple. 



  Lesdits moyens d'entraînement peuvent être réalisés sous forme d'un moteur électrique relativement puissant directement branché sur l'axe de la brosse, par exemple. 



  L'appareil selon la présente invention est décrit ci-après en référence au dessin annexé présenté à titre d'exemple. Dans ce dessin: 
 
   - la fig. 1 représente schématiquement une forme de réalisation de l'appareil en coupe verticale partielle, et 
   - la fig. 2 représente une coupe horizontale au niveau de la ligne 2-2 de la forme de réalisation de l'appareil représentée à la fig. 1. 
 



  Comme on peut le voir sur ces deux figures, le présent appareil comprend une brosse cylindrique rotative verticale 1 disposée à l'intérieur d'un tube cylindrique coaxial 3 dont la surface intérieure est garnie d'une spirale de guidage 4 des graines, les poils 6 de la brosse 1 effleurant la spirale 4, une trémie d'alimentation 7 en graines au-dessus de l'extrémité supérieure 8 du tube 1, et des moyens d'entraînement 2 de la brosse 1. 



  Dans cette forme de réalisation, la brosse cylindrique 1 comprend un support axial 5 auxquels sont fixés des poils radiaux 6 relativement durs. Ce support axial est réalisé sous forme d'un cylindre de diamètre relativement important, supérieur à la moitié du diamètre de la brosse elle-même. 



  Le tube cylindrique 3 est réalisé en métal. Il est garni d'une spirale métallique 4 soudée sur sa surface intérieure. La spirale est formée d'un boudin métallique de section circulaire de diamètre suffisant pour retenir lesdites graines plaquées contre la surface intérieure du tube par les poils de la brosse. 



  Les diamètres respectifs de la brosse 1 et du tube 3 sont tels que les poils de la brosse effleurent la spirale de guidage 4. 



  Le tube 3 présente une extrémité supérieure 8 légèrement évasée facilitant l'introduction desdites graines par l'intermédiaire de la trémie 7. Il présente au contraire une extrémité inférieure 9 resserrée assurant un écoulement ordonné des graines pelées. 



  Les moyens d'entraînement sont réalisés sous forme d'un moteur électrique 2 relativement puissant directement branché sur l'axe 10 de la brosse.

Such an apparatus is of a relatively heavy and complicated construction particularly suitable for the treatment of large tonnages of potatoes, for example.



  US 3,192,974 (FMC Corporation) describes an apparatus for peeling fruit, in particular pears, the peel of which has already been treated with soda, comprising a horizontal rotary drum, the inner surface of which is provided with a spiral transport screw, and a rotary horizontal brush whose axis is parallel to the axis of the drum and whose bristles are in contact with the bottom of the drum. Such an apparatus is suitable for the treatment of relatively heavy and fragile products which must be transported smoothly while being gently rubbed on the surface.



  The object of the present invention is to provide a simple and robust construction apparatus which makes it possible to effectively peel seeds, in particular legume seeds, and more particularly precooked chickpea seeds, the size of which is modest compared to that of apples. earth, for example, and which allows in particular to detach the peel from the seed without damaging the latter.



  To this end, the apparatus according to the present invention comprises a vertical rotary cylindrical brush disposed inside a coaxial cylindrical tube, the inner surface of which is provided with a spiral for guiding the seeds, the bristles of the brush touching the spiral, a seed hopper above the upper end of the tube, and brush drive means.



  Surprisingly, such a device, of simple and robust construction, effectively makes it possible to effectively peel seeds, in particular legume seeds, and more particularly precooked chickpeas intended to be dehydrated, without damaging the seed itself which does not is not broken into several pieces, for example.



  In this apparatus, the cylindrical brush may include an axial support to which relatively hard radial bristles are attached. This axial support can be produced in the form of a cylinder of relatively large diameter, greater than half the diameter of the brush itself, for example.



  The cylindrical tube can be made of metal and be lined with a metal spiral welded on its inner surface, for example. The spiral can be formed of a metal rod of circular section of sufficient diameter to retain said seeds pressed against the inner surface of the tube by the bristles of the brush, for example.



  The respective diameters of the brush and of the tube are such that the bristles of the brush brush against the guide spiral, that is to say that they can touch its internal edge, or even cover it at least partially.



  The tube may have a slightly flared upper end facilitating the introduction of said seeds via said hopper, for example. On the contrary, it may have a constricted lower end ensuring an orderly flow of the peeled seeds, for example.



  Said drive means can be produced in the form of a relatively powerful electric motor directly connected to the axis of the brush, for example.



  The apparatus according to the present invention is described below with reference to the accompanying drawing presented by way of example. In this drawing:
 
   - fig. 1 schematically represents an embodiment of the device in partial vertical section, and
   - fig. 2 shows a horizontal section at line 2-2 of the embodiment of the apparatus shown in FIG. 1.
 



  As can be seen in these two figures, the present device comprises a vertical rotary cylindrical brush 1 disposed inside a coaxial cylindrical tube 3, the inner surface of which is provided with a spiral guide 4 for the seeds, the bristles 6 of the brush 1 touching the spiral 4, a seed hopper 7 for seeds above the upper end 8 of the tube 1, and drive means 2 for the brush 1.



  In this embodiment, the cylindrical brush 1 comprises an axial support 5 to which are fixed relatively hard radial bristles 6. This axial support is produced in the form of a cylinder of relatively large diameter, greater than half the diameter of the brush itself.



  The cylindrical tube 3 is made of metal. It is lined with a metal spiral 4 welded on its inner surface. The spiral is formed of a metal rod of circular section of sufficient diameter to retain said seeds pressed against the inner surface of the tube by the bristles of the brush.



  The respective diameters of the brush 1 and of the tube 3 are such that the bristles of the brush touch the guide spiral 4.



  The tube 3 has a slightly flared upper end 8 facilitating the introduction of said seeds via the hopper 7. On the contrary, it has a tightened lower end 9 ensuring an orderly flow of the peeled seeds.



  The drive means are in the form of a relatively powerful electric motor 2 directly connected to the axis 10 of the brush.

Appareil à peler des graines, notamment des graines de légumineuses, et plus particulièrement des pois chiches précuits, comprenant une brosse cylindrique rotative verticale (1) disposée à l'intérieur d'un tube cylindrique coaxial (3) dont la surface intérieure est garnie d'une spirale de guidage (4) des graines, les poils (6) de la brosse (1) effleurant la spirale (4), une trémie d'alimentation (7) en graines au-dessus de l'extrémité supérieure (8) du tube (1), et des moyens d'entraînement (2) de la brosse (1).     1.
