REVENDICATIONS
La fig. 1 en est une vue en perspective;
la fig. 2 est une section de la paroi formant le fond de l'âtre;

CLAIMS
1. Chimney constituted by a cast iron body (10), characterized in that it is provided with two heat recovery units using air and water respectively as vehicles.
2. Chimney according to claim 1, in which the hearth is limited by a bottom wall (11) and two side walls (15), characterized in that the first recuperator is constituted by the walls (15) which are boxes having openings (16, 17) for the admission of cold air and the discharge of hot air, and the second recuperator by a tube (19) lining at least part of the surface of the bottom wall (11).
3. Chimney according to claim 2, characterized in that said tube (19) extends in a zigzag.
4. Chimney according to claim 2, characterized in that said boxes (15) include baffles (18).
5. Chimney according to claim 1, characterized in that it comprises means for switching on and off one or the other or the two heat recuperators.
The modern fireplaces of apartments, villas, chalets, etc., are made up of a cast iron body clad in refractory materials, such as stones, bricks, etc.
The hearth of these chimneys is limited by a bottom wall and by two side walls.
Some of these chimneys are equipped with means making it possible to recover part of the heat evacuated with the fumes. These means use either water or air to convey the recovered heat. The heated fluid is generally used for space heating.
Both recovery systems - water or air - have advantages and disadvantages, so that the thermal efficiency is always relatively low.
The chimney according to the present invention has the advantages of the two systems without having the disadvantages.
This chimney, which is constituted by a cast iron body, is characterized by the fact that it is provided with two heat recovery units using water and air respectively as vehicles.
The thermal efficiency of the chimney according to the invention is much higher than that of chimneys of the same type equipped with one or the other of the two heat recovery systems.
The attached drawing shows, schematically and by way of example, an embodiment of the subject of the invention.
Fig. 1 is a perspective view;
fig. 2 is a section of the wall forming the bottom of the hearth;
fig. 3 is a section of one of the two side walls.
The chimney shown is constituted by a cast iron body 10 forming the hearth which is limited by a bottom wall 11 composed of a horizontal panel 12, a vertical panel 13 and an oblique panel 14, and by two walls side 15.
Each of the side walls 15 is constituted by a box having two lower openings 16, two upper openings 17 and, internally, baffles 18.
The wall 11 is lined with a tube 19, of rectangular section, extending in a zigzag, like a serpentine, intended to be traversed by water entering at 20 and leaving at 21.
The chimney comprises, at its upper part, a mantle 22 having an orifice for the connection of a smoke evacuation duct and, at its lower part, an ashtray with drawer 24 for collecting solid residues from combustion.
The chimney described makes it possible to recover the heat conveyed by the air circulating by natural convection in the boxes 15 and by the water which can be passed through the tube 19.
The thermal efficiency of this chimney is particularly high, and in particular higher than that of chimneys comprising only one of the two heat recovery systems.
Alternatively, one could plan to use only one or the other of the two recuperators.
