6. Apparatus according to claim 5, characterized in that it also comprises a spindle holder device (15, 16).
Numerous transportable cooking appliances are known, such as barbecues, grills, roasters, broaches, etc., comprising a charcoal, electric or gas fireplace, which make it possible to prepare, on a picnic site or on a campsite, hot food.
Appliances of this type are designed to cook meat on a spit, to prepare grills, charcoals, cheese raclettes, etc.
These devices are generally not intended for the preparation of hot drinks such as coffee, tea, soups, broths, etc.
Under these conditions, it is necessary, to carry out the preparation of these drinks, to adopt a makeshift solution which consists in placing a container filled with water near the hearth, for example on a support such as a grid which does not is not intended for this purpose.
This results in a permanent danger to people, especially children, who move around the device and who risk at any moment overturning the container and getting seriously burned with its contents.
The present invention is a portable cooking appliance which aims to eliminate this drawback.
The features of the invention which are the subject of the claims are set out in the description which follows.
The attached drawing shows, schematically and by way of examples. a first embodiment, variants of this first embodiment and a second embodiment.
Fig. 1 is a front view, in elevation, partially torn, of the first embodiment.
Fig. 2 is a plan view thereof.
Fig. 3 is a sectional view through line III-III of FIG. 1.
Figs. 4 to 7 are schematic representations, in front elevation, of four variants of the first embodiment.
Fig. 8 is a plan view of the second embodiment.
Fig. 9 is a sectional view through line IX-IX of FIG. 8.
The apparatus shown in fig. I to 3 includes a frame 10 with four removable feet 1 1 and two handles 12, a charcoal fireplace 13, an oven 14, two spindle-holder flanges 15, a spindle 16 driven by an electric motor 17, a removable frying pan 18 and a built-in kettle 19.
The hearth 13 is limited on the side of the spindle 16 by a grid 20 engaged in two grooves and on the side of the kettle 19 by a removable device 21 composed of two plates 22 and 23 having corresponding openings 24 and 25 which can be move relatively in their plans by means of a zipper 26.
The bottom 27, the vertical walls 28 and the door 29 of the oven 13 are thermally insulated so as to minimize any loss of heat which enters the oven 14 through the bottom of the hearth 13.
The kettle 19 is constituted by a rectangular copper tank 30 provided with a rim allowing it to rest on the corresponding rim of the chassis 10 and by a cover 31.
The outer wall 32 of the frame 10 adjacent to the tank 30 is also thermally insulated.
A space 33 is provided around the tank 30 so as to allow circulation of hot air.
The heat radiated by the hearth 13 towards the tank 19 can be adjusted by making the openings 24 and 25 of the two plates 22 and 23 coincide partially or completely by moving the pull tab 26.
The appliance described above has all the advantages of a household cooking appliance while being easy to use, transport and store, by folding the flanges 15 against the hearth 13 and removing the feet 11. It is, moreover, very compact, particularly stable, and consumes only a minimum of charcoal, taking into account its exceptional possibilities. In particular, we can simultaneously prepare a charcoal on an ad hoc grill placed on the hearth, poultry on the spit, a gratin in the oven and, in addition, heat water in the kettle for broth or coffee without 'There is a danger of overturning a container placed in an unstable equilibrium state on the device.
Figs. 4 to 7 illustrate variants of the apparatus shown in FIGS. 1 to 3. The one in fig. 4 does not include an oven and the other three are bifocals 13 and are distinguished from each other by the presence or absence of an oven 14 or a spit.
The second embodiment (Figs. 8 and 9) consists of a thermally insulated hemispherical frame 40, mounted on feet 41, frame inside which is housed a kettle 42 formed of a bowl 43 and a circular plate 45 welded to the edge of this bowl which comes to bear along its periphery on the corresponding circular edge of the chassis 40.
This kettle 42 can be filled through an orifice 46 formed in an imprint presented by the plate 45, and its content drawn from the bottom of the bowl 43 through a tap 45 located under the bottom of the frame 40.
A second plate 47, formed of a fixed part 48 and a movable part 50 respectively constituting the bottom of the hearth 49 and a cover which can be lifted to gain access to the orifice 46 in order to fill the kettle 42 , rests on plate 45.
The hearth 49 is limited, laterally, by a wall 51, in the form of an arc of a circle extending substantially to the vertical plane passing through the hinge axis 51 of the cover 50 and, frontally, by a grid 52 which removably engages in guides 53 welded to the ends of two arcuate flaps 54 which can slide on the wall 51.
Flanges 55 intended to support a spindle 56 and its drive motor 57 are removably attached to the ends of the wall 51.
A grid 60, of suitable shape, is provided to be placed on the circular edge of the wall 51.
Like the first, this form of preparation makes it possible to prepare several hot dishes simultaneously and to cook water.
To promote the heating of the water, a space 58 has been provided around the bowl 43 in which air heated by the hearth 49 can circulate by passing through holes 59 drilled in the plate 45.
In this embodiment, the volume of the hearth can be increased, if only charcoal is to be prepared, by removing the grid 52 and the flanges 55, and sliding the flaps 54 forward so that they meet. We can then replace it
ering grid 60 by a corresponding circular grid, have a larger surface to place the pieces of meat. to grill.
The invention is obviously not limited to what is shown in the drawing and described above. In particular, it would be possible to envisage variants in which the kettle can be hermetically sealed with a suitable cover so that it is possible to fill it before transporting the appliance to the place where it is intended to use it. Furthermore, it is possible to conceive embodiments, similar to those described, operating on gas or electricity.
