Abstract

In order to manufacture a tube made from thermoplastic material containing a conducting wire, which is itself coated with a thermoplastic material whose melting point does not exceed that of the tube, the device includes an extrusion head (7) for the tube (9) made from thermoplastic resin. The extrusion head has a bore (13) passing right through it and opening on the inside of the tube (9). An insulating coating (14) is applied in the bore (13) in order to insulate from the heat the wires (5) which are themselves surrounded by the insulation made from meltable thermoplastic material, so that this insulation is protected from the heat prevailing in the extrusion head. The tubes are used as protective sleeving for electrical wires in the building industry. <IMAGE>
