Gegenstand vorliegender Erfindung ist eine Schiessmütze mit einem Schirm und seitlich des Schirmes angebrachten Blendklappen. Schiessmützen dieser Art werden verwendet, um den direkten Einfall des Sonnenlichtes sowohl von vorne als auch von der Seite her in die Augen des Schützen und damit eine unerwünschte Blendwirkung zu vermeiden. Sowohl die bei solchen Mützen vergleichsweise grosse Länge des Schirmes als auch insbesondere die seitlichen Blendklappen besitzen aber den Nachteil, dass je nach den Beleuchtungsverhältnissen die Zielvorrichtung, beispielsweise das Diopter, zu wenig beleuchtet ist, was ein sicheres Zielen erschwert.
Der vorliegenden Erfindung lag die Aufgabe zugrunde, eine Schiessmütze der eingangs genannten Art zu schaffen, welche gestattet, einerseits eine Blendwirkung durch den direkten Lichteinfall von vorne und der Seite her zu vermeiden, anderseits aber eine genügende Beleuchtung der Zielvorrichtung zu gewährleisten.
In der Zeichnung ist eine beispielsweise Ausführungsform des Erfindungsgegenstandes schaubildlich dargestellt.
Die Schiessmütze gemäss dem betreffenden Ausführungsbeispiel besitzt einen Kopfteil 1, an dessen Vorderrand der Schild 2 von vergleichsweise grosser Länge angebracht ist. Zu beiden Seiten des Schildes 2 sind längs dessen Ränder vermittelst je einer biegsamen Achse 3 und den Scharnierteilen 4 je eine Blendklappe 5 angelenkt, deren Längenabmessung so gewählt ist, dass die vorderen Ränder zur Bildung einer Durchblicköffnung 6 auf einem gewissen Abstand voneinander liegen. Die Innenseiten dieser seitlichen Blendklappen 5 sind von weisser Farbe, sei es, dass die Klappen vollständig aus weissem Material bestehen, sei es, dass die betreffenden Innenseiten weiss gefärbt oder beschichtet sind.
Der Schild 2 ist von einem Fenster 7 durchbrochen, längs dessen Vorderrand ein Blendschutzorgan in Form eines Blendstreifens 8 angelenkt ist. Beim dargestellten Ausführungsbeispiel werden Fenster und Blendstreifen so gebildet, dass das mit Tuch überzogene Kartonschild U-förmig wird, so dass sich ein entsprechend geformter und den Blendstreifen bildender Lappen ergibt, der längs seiner einen Kante 9 mit dem Schild verbunden bleibt. Um diese Kante kann nun der Blendstreifen 8 in die in der Zeichnung dargestellte Gebrauchslage verschwenkt werden, in welcher er bei geöffnetem Fenster 7 nach hinten schräg oben weist, wobei die Steifigkeit des Kartons ihn in dieser Gebrauchslage oder aber in der abgeklappten Stellung hält, in welcher er in der Schildebene liegt und das Fenster 7 verschliesst.
Es hat sich weiter als zweckmässig erwiesen, die freie Längskante des Blendstreifens beispielsweise durch einen Leukoplaststreifen zu verstärken.
In der dargestellten Gebrauchslage erlaubt das offene Fenster einen Lichteinfall von oben auf die Zieleinrichtung, so dass diese trotz der Länge des Schildes 2 sowie der Blendklappen 5 in genügender Weise beleuchtet ist, und zwar ohne dass eine Blendung des Schützen in Kauf genommen werden müsste.
Die weisse Farbe der Innenseiten der Blendklappen 5 hat dazuhin noch den Vorteil, dass sie unter der Wirkung des durch das Fenster 7 einfallenden Lichtes ebenfalls hell erscheinen, so dass der Kontrast der Ränder der Durchblicköffnung 6 zur weissen Zielscheibe sich wesentlich verringert, wodurch der genaue Schuss noch zusätzlich erleichtert wird.
PATENTANSPRUCH
Schiessmütze mit einem Schirm und seitlich des Schirmes angebrachten Blendklappen, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Schirm ein Fenster sowie ein über diesem Fenster angebrachtes Blendschutzorgan besitzt.
UNTERANSPRÜCHE
1. Schiessmütze nach Patentanspruch, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das Blendschutzorgan als am vordern Fensterrand befestigter und in eine schräg nach oben hinten weisende Lage bringbarer Blendschutzstreifen ausgebildet ist.
2. Schiessmütze nach Patentanspruch, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Innenseiten der Blendschutzklappen von weisser Farbe sind.

The subject of the present invention is a shooting cap with a visor and flaps attached to the side of the visor. Shooting caps of this type are used to avoid direct sunlight entering the shooter's eyes from the front as well as from the side and thus avoid undesirable glare. Both the relatively large length of the visor in such caps and in particular the side flaps have the disadvantage that, depending on the lighting conditions, the aiming device, for example the rear sight, is not illuminated enough, which makes it difficult to aim safely.
The present invention was based on the object of creating a shooting cap of the type mentioned at the outset which, on the one hand, makes it possible to avoid glare from direct incidence of light from the front and the side, but on the other hand, to ensure sufficient illumination of the aiming device.

The shooting cap according to the embodiment in question has a head part 1, on the front edge of which the shield 2 is attached of a comparatively great length. On both sides of the shield 2, a flexible axis 3 and the hinge parts 4 each have a flap 5 hinged along its edges, the length of which is selected so that the front edges are at a certain distance from each other to form a viewing opening 6. The insides of these lateral flaps 5 are white in color, be it that the flaps consist entirely of white material, be it that the insides in question are colored or coated white.
The shield 2 is pierced by a window 7, along the front edge of which an anti-glare element in the form of a visor strip 8 is hinged. In the illustrated embodiment, windows and cover strips are formed so that the cardboard sign covered with cloth becomes U-shaped, so that a correspondingly shaped flap is obtained which forms the cover strip and remains connected to the sign along its one edge 9. Around this edge, the cover strip 8 can now be pivoted into the position of use shown in the drawing, in which it points obliquely upwards with the window 7 open, the rigidity of the cardboard holding it in this position of use or in the folded-down position in which it lies in the shield plane and closes the window 7.
It has also proven to be useful to reinforce the free longitudinal edge of the facing strip, for example by means of a leukoplastic strip.
In the position of use shown, the open window allows light to fall onto the aiming device from above, so that it is sufficiently illuminated despite the length of the shield 2 and the flaps 5, without the shooter having to be blinded.
The white color of the insides of the flaps 5 also has the advantage that they also appear bright under the effect of the light entering through the window 7, so that the contrast between the edges of the viewing opening 6 and the white target is significantly reduced, which means that the shot is accurate is made even easier.
