Abstract

The purpose is to make it possible for ready-for-installation door cases to be adapted on site to varying thicknesses of plastering and finish, and if necessary to minor variations in wall thickness or dimensional deviations in soffit width. The aluminium door case assembly consists of an anchor for fixture to the soffit, a door-stop frame to be set firmly on this, and a case component to be screwed to the frame, with screws sunk in a groove serving to accommodate the door-stop sealing. The case component (4) can be at least partially inserted into the door-stop frame (3), and both together can be set on the anchor (2) at a variable interval from the soffit. The anchor may incorporate two fishplates (20), one for fixing the door-stop frame and the other for fixing the case component.
