The present invention relates to a ski-bob, the frame of which is mounted on the rear ski by means of a telescopic suspension device.
In known skis-bobs of this type, the connection between the rear ski and the frame is completed by two articulated arms constituting with the rear ski and part of the frame a deformable parallelogram which allows the rear ski to move parallel to it. even when the suspension device is stressed.
The rear ski, whose freedom is limited to a translational movement, cannot follow the unevenness of the terrain, which is, on a bumpy slope, a major drawback, the holding of the ski-bob is difficult and obviously its performance s 'feel it.
The ski-bob according to the present invention, which eliminates these drawbacks, is characterized in that the connection between the frame and the rear ski is completed by a single arm articulated to the frame and to the rear ski, which enables it to perform on the one hand a translational movement and on the other hand a rotational movement and thus perfectly follow the slope and the inequalities thereof.
The accompanying drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the object of the invention.
Fig. 1 is an elevation view thereof.
Fig. 2 is a sectional and close-up view of the front ski suspension device.
Fig. 3 is a sectional view on a large scale of the part of the ski-bob included in the circle drawn in phantom in FIG. 1.
Fig. 4 is a plan view of the handlebars.
The ski-bob shown comprises (fig. 1) a frame 10, a front steering ski 11 and a rear ski 12.
The frame is formed (fig. 1 and 3) by tubes 13 assembled by means of elbow connectors 14 fixed for example by gluing, setting, etc.
The steering column 15, integral with the handlebars 16, rotates in a tube 17 of the frame and is connected to the front ski 11 by a suspension device 18 and by an articulation 19 comprising a damper 20 working in torsion (FIG. 2).
To protect the hands of the user in the event of impact with obstacles, for example with slalom poles, the handles 21 of the handlebars have a guard 22.
The frame 10 on the rear of which the seat 23 is fixed is mounted
on the rear ski 12 by means of a suspension device
telescopic sion 24 consisting of a coil spring 25 and an oil damper 26.
This device is articulated at its upper end to a tab 27 of the frame and at its lower end to a U-shaped part 28 attached to the rear ski 12, approximately in the middle of its
length
The connection between the frame and the rear ski is completed by an arm 29 and by a chisel 30. This arm 29 is articulated on the one hand to the frame 10, on the other hand to the part 28. As for the chisel 30, one of its branches are connected to the front end of the rear ski 12,
The other on the lower side of the frame 10.
Under these conditions, the rear ski 12 can simultaneously perform a translational movement and a rotational movement which allow it to automatically adapt to the unevenness of the terrain, the purpose of the chisel 30 being to limit the amplitude of the rotational movement.
