Example 2 A) Insecticidal food poison effect Cotton plants and potato plants were treated with a 0.05% aqueous
Active substance emulsion (obtained from a 10% emulsifiable concentrate) sprayed.
After the covering had dried on, the cotton plants were populated with Spodoptera littoralis or Heliothis virescens larvae L3 and the potato plants with Colorado beetle larvae (Leptinotarsa decemlineata). The experiment was carried out at 24 C and 60% relative humidity.
In the above test, the compounds according to Example 1B showed a good insecticidal feed poison action against Spodop tera, Heliothis and Leptinotarsa decemlineata larvae.
B) Systemic insecticidal effect
To determine the systemic effect, rooted bean plants (Vicia faba) were placed in a 0.01% strength aqueous active ingredient solution (obtained from a 10% strength emulsifiable concentrate). After 24 hours, aphids (Aphis fabae) were placed on the above-ground parts of the plant. The animals were protected from contact and gas effects by a special device. The experiment was carried out at 24 C and 70% relative humidity.
The compounds according to Example 1B act systemically against Aphis fabae in the above test.
Example 3 Action against Chilo suppressalis
6 rice plants of the Caloro variety were transplanted into plastic pots with an upper diameter of 17 cm and raised to a height of about 60 cm. The infestation with Chilo suppressalis larvae (all; 3-4 mm long) took place 2 days after the addition of the active ingredient in granulate form (application rate 8 kg active ingredient per hectare) in the paddy water. The insecticidal activity was evaluated 10 days after the granules had been added.
The compounds according to Example 1B acted against Chilo suppressalis in the above test.
Example 4 Action against ticks A) Rhipicephalus bursa
5 adult ticks or 50 tick larvae were counted in a glass tube and immersed for 1 to 2 minutes in 2 ml of an aqueous emulsion from a dilution series with 100, 10, 1 or 0.1 ppm test substance each. The tube was then closed with a standardized cotton ball and turned upside down so that the active ingredient emulsion could be absorbed by the cotton wool.
The evaluation was carried out after 2 weeks for the adults and after 2 days for the larvae. Two repetitions were run for each attempt.
B) Boophilus microplus (larvae)
With an analogous dilution series as in test A, 20 sensitive resp. OP-resistant larval experiments were carried out. (The resistance relates to the tolerance of Diazinon).
The compounds according to Example 1B acted in these tests against adults and larvae of Rhipicephalus bursa and sensitive, respectively. OP-resistant larvae of Boophilus microplus.
Example 5 Acaricidal Effect
Phascolus vulgaris (plants) were covered with an infected piece of leaf from a mass cultivation of Tetranychus urticae 12 hours before the test for acaricidal activity. The overflowing mobile stages were dusted with the emulsified test preparations from a chromatography atomizer so that the spray mixture did not run off.
After 2 to 7 days, larvae, adults and eggs were evaluated under the binocular for living and dead individuals and the result was expressed as a percentage. During the holding time, the treated plants stood in greenhouse cabins at 25 C.
In the above test, compounds according to Example 1B were effective against adults, larvae and eggs of Tetranychus urticae.
Example 6 Action against soil nematodes
To test the action against soil nematodes, the active ingredients were added to soil infected by root cell nematodes (Meloidogyne arenaria) and mixed thoroughly.
Tomato seedlings were planted immediately afterwards in the soil prepared in this way in one test series and tomatoes were sown in another test series after a waiting period of 8 days. To assess the nematicidal effect, the galls present on the roots were counted 28 days after planting or after sowing.
In this test, the active ingredients according to Example 1B showed a good action against Meloidogyne arenaria.
Example 7 Action against soil insects
Sterilized compost was mixed homogeneously with a wettable powder containing 25% active ingredient, so that a concentration of 16 ppm, respectively. of 8.4, 2, 1 ppm resulted.
In the soil treated in this way, young zucchetti and cabbage plants were placed and immediately with 5 larvae of Aulacophora femoralis (age: 15 d / 25 C) or. 15 eggs of Chortophila brassicae (cabbage flies) infected; A third corresponding earth pattern was provided with apple wedges as food and planted with 5 larvae of Pachnoda savignyi (20 d / 250 C).
Mortality was rated 10 days after application and infestation. The screening test with groundworms (Agriotis Y-L2) proceeded analogously, with the difference that the concentrations were 40, 20, 10 ppm. Mallow leaves were used as food.
In the above tests, the compounds according to Example 1B showed activity against Aulacophora femoralis, Chortophila brassicae, Pachnoda savignyi and Agriotis larvae.
