The present invention relates to a dye bobbin of cylindrical or conical shape for dyeing yarn on cross-bobbin dyeing machines, the perforated sleeve being intended to allow regular but rapid soaking and warming by the flowing liquor.
In this known form of the perforated sleeves, the holes of the perforation are made close to the end faces of the bobbins and thereby cause part of the amount of liquor supplied to the lap to leave the package by the shortest route. This results in a spatially uneven distribution of the flow and, as a consequence, inadequate heat distribution and coloring.
In order to eliminate these unsatisfactory hydrodynamic, thermohydraulic and color-technical properties of the known package tubes, it is customary in practice to use long coloring times or large pump capacities for circulating the liquor.
The purpose of the present invention is to improve the dye bobbins mentioned in such a way that the regular soaking and warming of the entire yarn package is also possible in a shorter time and with a smaller liquor throughput.
The invention is explained using the accompanying drawings, for example:
Show it:
Fig. 1 is a longitudinal section through a normal conical dye package,
Fig. 2 shows a longitudinal section through a conical dye package with a sleeve designed according to the invention.
It can be seen from FIG. 1 that with the normal tubes, a part of the liquor leaves the thread package again due to the small resistance due to the end faces 4 of the thread package 5 in the vicinity of the tube surface. Measurements have shown that it is around a third of the amount of liquor added.
In the case of the sleeve 2 (FIG. 2), the holes 1 of the perforation are made in such a way that the aerodynamic as well as the hydraulic resistance in the axial and also the radial direction, judged by the first and last row of the holes 1, is almost the same.
If the holes 1 of the perforation are more concentrated in the middle of the sleeve 2, their total flow area should also only be of a limited size. This is necessary for strength and hydrodynamic reasons.
Various variations of the arrangement of the holes 1 in the width of the zone 8 are possible.
A numerical example for a frequently used, conical (<4 20 ') 5 inch dye tube. Rolls of approx. 0.8 kg are usually attached to such sleeves.
It is sufficient if the sleeve has 90 holes of # 3 mm, which results in a total flow cross-section of 6.35 cm2. (Maximum would be 7.2 cm2).
The distance 3 should be for sleeves of max. # 60 mm on the larger sleeve side should be approx. 45 mm, on the smaller sleeve side the distance 3 should be approx. 40 mm.
