Bedeutet n=l, entsprechen bevorzugte Reste -R2-R3 z. B. einer der Formeln -CH3 -C2H5 -C6115,
EMI2.2
-NH-CO-C6H5,
EMI2.3

The invention relates to a process for the preparation of sulfonic acid groups-free DithiazinA2,3-b: 3 ', 2'-dS pyrroles, the z. B. as pigments, for coloring plastic compositions and as fluorescent colors are very suitable.
It was found that the French patent application no.
2 005 669 known compounds of the formula
EMI1.1
wherein the symbols Rl each represent the atoms or groups of atoms necessary to complete an optionally substituted aromatic ring system or heterocyclic ring system, R2 the direct bond, a bridge member of the formula -NR4-, -NR4-CO-,
EMI1.2
-NR4-SO -, -NR4 -CO- NR4- or a divalent hydrocarbon radical optionally bearing substituents and / or containing heteroatoms, R3 a hydrocarbon radical optionally bearing substituents and / or containing heteroatoms which contains at least n carbon atoms,
the symbols R4 independently of one another are hydrogen or an optionally substituted alkyl radical, R5 is hydrogen or an optionally substituted hydrocarbon radical bearing and / or containing heteroatoms, preferably an alkyl or phenyl radical, and n is 1, 2 or 3, the molecule being free of sulfonic acid groups, can be obtained in excellent yields if n mol of a sulfonic acid group-free compound of the formula
EMI1.3
or a mixture of compounds of this formula, with 1 mol of a compound of the formula (H2N-R2t R3 (III), which is free of sulfonic acid groups, or a mixture of such compounds, condensed.
In the preparation of the compounds known from the French patent application mentioned, the new process gives significantly better yields and thus purer products.
As radicals R, z. B. those of the formulas
EMI1.4
EMI2.1
which can also be present in quinoid form, which can be used as substituents such. B. alkyl, alkoxy, halogen, cyano, nitro, phenoxy, amino, alkylamino, phenylamino, alkylnlercapto, phenylmercapto, acyl, acyloxy or acylamino can carry. Unless otherwise specified, all alkyl groups on the molecule (including the alkylamino, alkoxy and alkyl mercapto groups) preferably contain 1, 2, 3 or 4 carbon atoms and can in turn contain substituents, e.g. B. halogen, alkoxy, cyano, phenyl, phenoxy, amino, alkylamino, phenylamino, alkylmercapto, phenylmercapto, acyl, acyloxy or acylamino wear. Alkylamino also means dialkylamino groups and phenylamino also means N-phenyl-N-alkylamino groups.
Halogen means fluorine or, preferably, chlorine or bromine.
The phenyl radicals mentioned can, for. B. carry the substituents given for the radicals Rt. If R2 is a hydrocarbon radical optionally containing heteroatoms, these include e.g. B. alkylene radicals (which generally contain 1, 2, 3 or 4 carbon atoms), radicals of the formulas -alkylene-O-alkylene- (with up to about 6 carbon atoms) or phenyl radicals. The series of hydrocarbon radicals R3 optionally containing heteroatoms ranges u. a of alkyl groups with up to 10 carbon atoms, z. B. can be interrupted by oxygen, sulfur or -CO bridges, via phenyl, naphthyl, anthraquinoyl to thiophenyl, thiazolyl, benzthiazolyl, imidazolyl, pyrazolyl, quinolinyl radicals.
All of these radicals can have the substituents indicated above.
Preferred acyl groups correspond to the formula R-Yor R'-Z-, in which R denotes a hydrocarbon radical which can carry the substituents listed above and / or may contain heteroatoms, preferably an alkyl or phenyl radical optionally (as stated above) bearing substituents, Y a radical - O-CO- or -SO2-, R 'is a hydrogen atom or R, Z is a radical -CO-, -NR "CO- or -NR" SO2- and R "is a hydrogen atom or R.
If n = 1, preferred radicals -R2-R3 correspond to z. B. one of the formulas -CH3 -C2H5 -C6115,
EMI2.2
-NH-CO-C6H5,
EMI2.3
wherein in particular the nuclei of aromatic character substituents, e.g. B. can carry the substituents mentioned for R1.
If n in formula (1) is 2, the group -R2-R3-R2- is z. B. for remnants of the formulas
EMI2.4
or
EMI2.5
in this case too, one or more hydrogen atoms can be substituted by atoms or atoms or groups of atoms mentioned above (for example under Rl).
As substituents in R3, when n = 2, z. B. also those of the formula -CO-O-Me-O-CO-, where Me is magnesium, calcium, strontium, barium, zinc or manganese, into consideration.
Aryl radicals are to be understood as meaning, in particular, phenyl radicals.
The process according to the invention is generally carried out at temperatures between 1300 and 250 "C, preferably between 150 and 200" C, in excess of the compound of the formula (III) or in an inert solvent boiling between 1300 and 250 "C, preferably under reflux, Preferred solvents are, for example, chlorinated benzenes, nitrobenzene, dimethylformamide, dimethylacetamide, etc. It is often advantageous to carry out the reaction in the presence of organic or inorganic acids which have a catalytic effect.
By setting the reaction temperature to lower values, e.g. B. one mole of a diamine of the formula (III) can be reacted with one mole of a compound of the formula (II) so that 1 mole of a uniform amino compound is obtained.
The preparation of the compounds of the formula (II) is described in German Offenlegungsschrift No. 2,152,257.
The compounds prepared in this way are, especially after the conditioning customary for pigment dyes, e.g. B. for coloring plastic masses, which means solvent-free and solvent-containing masses made of plastics or synthetic resins (in paints on an oily or watery basis, in varnishes of various types, for spin dyeing of linear aromatic polyesters, viscose or cellulose acetate, for pigmenting polyethylene, polystyrene , Polyvinyl chloride, rubber and synthetic leather). They can also be used in printing inks for the graphic industry, for pulp dyeing, for coating textiles or for pigment printing.
The dyeings obtained are excellent migration and lightfast, have a very good washing, chlorine bleach, hypochlorite, bleach, overdye, blind vat, peroxide bleach, rub. Resistant to overpainting and solvents and are characterized by great color strength, good transparency and heat resistance.
In the following examples, the parts mean parts by weight. the temperatures are given in degrees Celsius.
example 1
A mixture of 15.4 parts of dibenzothiazine (2,3-b: 3.2 ') furan, 4.5 parts of para-phenylenediamine and 500 parts of ortho dichlorobenzene is refluxed for 24 hours, cooled to room temperature, and the residue is filtered off , washed with a little methanol and dried. A pigment of the formula is obtained in this way
EMI3.1
which, after conventional conditioning, colors polyvinyl chloride in strong orange tones.
Example 2
61 parts of dibenzothiazine (2,3-b: 3'2'-dfuran, 10.8 parts of para-phenylenediamine, 1.1 part of para-toluenesulfonic acid and 150 parts of trichlorobenzene are refluxed for 24 hours, cooled to room temperature, and the residue is filtered off , washed with a little methanol and dried, giving a pigment of the formula
EMI3.2
which, after the usual conditioning, colors polyvinyl chloride in yellowish-orange tones.
If one proceeds according to this example, but instead of para-phenylenediamine, ortho-phenylenediamine is used, a pigment is obtained whose properties are extremely similar to those produced with para-phenylenediamine (color, fastness properties).
Another pigment with very similar properties is obtained if 25 parts of 4,4'-diamino-3,3'-dichlorodiphenyl dihydrochloride are used instead of the 10.8 parts of para-phenylenediamine. The pigment obtained in this way colors polyvinyl chloride in orange tones.
The pigments produced in accordance with the examples also color alkyl and acrylic melamine resins in the specified shades.
The following table shows further dyes of the formula (I) which can be prepared according to the invention. R2 means the direct bond in all cases.
