Fig. 1 eine Frontansicht einer Kübelwaschmaschine,
The present invention relates to a bucket washing machine with a housing that encloses a washroom. into which three axially parallel, driven bristle rollers protrude, the washroom having a door opening in the housing wall on the side of the free ends of the bristle rollers and a detergent supply wetting the bristle rollers, and further in the area of the door opening a plate brush facing the bristle rollers is freely rotatable.
Such bucket washing machines are known. As a rule, they are used to clean paint buckets in printing works, paint factories or dye works. They have the disadvantage that they can only work with water or another non-flammable liquid as a detergent. If a flammable detergent were used, there would be a permanent risk of explosion during the washing process.
However, since many paints are only soluble in flammable liquids. The invention aims to improve a bucket washing system of the type mentioned in such a way that it can work with both flammable and non-flammable liquid detergents.
According to the invention, this purpose is achieved in that the door opening can be tightly closed by a door and the washroom can be ventilated by a fan.
The invention is explained by way of example with the aid of the accompanying schematic drawing. Show it:
1 shows a front view of a tub washing machine,
Fig. 2 shows a section along the line II-II of Fig. 1 and
Fig. 3 is a view in the direction of arrow III according to Fig. 2, the rear door being omitted.
The tub washing machine has a sheet steel housing consisting of a base 1, a cover 2, a left and a right side wall 3 and 4, an intermediate base 5 and an intermediate wall 6 and a front and rear wall 7 and 8. The housing encloses one Washing room 9, a drive room 10 and a detergent chamber 11. The front wall 7 has a circular door opening 12 through which the washing room 9 is accessible from the outside and which can be tightly closed by a door 13. Under the door opening 12, the front wall 7 has a second door opening 14 through which the detergent chamber 11 is accessible from the outside. The door opening 14 can be tightly closed by a door 15.
The intermediate floor 5 is provided in the area of its lower end with a drainage opening 16 through which the detergent that collects from the washing space 9 on the intermediate floor 5 can flow into the detergent chamber 11. The drive chamber 10 is accessible through an opening 17 from the rear of the machine. The opening 17 can be closed by a door 18.
In the rear wall 6 three ball bearings 19, 20 and 21 are arranged. In each of these ball bearings 19, 20, 21 a shaft 22, 23 and 24 is freely rotatably mounted, each axially aligned with a bristle roller 25, 26 and 27 and firmly connected. These bristle rollers protrude axially parallel into the washroom 9. Its bristles are made of an antistatic material. A stub axle 59, on which a circular brush 60 is freely rotatably mounted, is attached to the door 13.
The circular brush 60 is laterally offset from the center axis of the bristle roller 27 and, when the door 13 is closed, rests against the bottom of a bucket attached to the bristle roller 23. As a result of this lateral offset, the plate brush 60 is set in rotation from the bottom of the bucket and cleans it.
At a distance from the intermediate floor 5 and parallel to the bristle rollers 25-27, a spray line 28 runs with a large number of spray nozzles 29 directed upwards against the bristle rollers 25-27 and the circular brush 60. Through these, the detergent is directed against the bristle rollers 25-27 during the washing process sprayed. The shaft 30 of the bristle rollers 27 is hollow and has two openings 31 on the front.
The shaft 24 is likewise hollow and is connected to the spray line 28 via a branch line 32. If a bucket is placed on the bristle roller 27, it is continuously wetted by detergent escaping through the openings 31 during the washing process. A V-belt pulley 32, 33, 34 is placed non-rotatably on each of the shafts 19-21. An electric motor 35 drives the V-belt pulleys 32-34 via a V-belt pulley 36 and a V-belt 37 and thus drives the bristle rollers 25 to 27.
The door 13 is automatically closed or opened before it is started and after the motor 35 has been switched off. For this purpose, an axis 38 is rotatably mounted in the washroom 9 laterally next to the door opening 12. The axle 38 is connected to the door 13 by means of two articulated levers 39 and 40, so that the latter opens or closes when the axle 38 rotates. To rotate the axis 38, a hydraulic cylinder 41 is articulated on the underside of the intermediate floor 5, the piston rod 42 of which is articulated via a ball joint 43 to a lever 44 firmly connected to the axis 38. The hydraulic cylinder 41 is operated by an unillustrated solenoid valve.
A covered drawer 45 is pushed into the detergent chamber 11. At its rear end and below the connection opening 16, the drawer 45 has an opening covered with a mesh 46, through which the detergent flows from the wash space 9 into the drawer 45. The drawer 45 is divided by two partition walls 47 and 48 into a front, middle and rear chamber 49-51. The intermediate wall 47 has a slit-shaped opening 52 in the middle area in order to hold back specifically heavier or lighter impurities in the detergent.
The partition 48 consists of a frame which is covered with a fine mesh grid 43, which retains fine impurities in the detergent flowing from the back to the front in the drawer. A suction nozzle 54, which is connected to a pump (not shown), to whose pressure nozzle the spray line 28 is connected, dips into the front chamber 49.
In the ceiling 2, an exhaust opening 55 is provided, to which the suction line 56 of a fan 57 is connected and through which the fan 57 sucks the vapors occurring in the washroom 9 and in the detergent chamber 11.
The device described works as follows. With the door 13 open, a bucket is placed on the bristle roller 27. A switch 58 is then actuated, whereupon an electromagnetic valve, not shown, of the hydraulic piston 41 is actuated and the door 13 closes. At the same time, the fan 57 is started and the atmosphere in the washroom 9 and in the detergent chamber 11 is continuously sucked off. A time switch (not shown) then switches on the electric motor 35 and drives the bristle roller 25-27 in one direction during a first period of time.
When this first period of time has elapsed, the polarity of the motor 35 is reversed and the rollers are driven in opposite directions of rotation during a second period of time which is the same as the first.
When the motor 35 is started, the detergent pump, not shown, is switched on at the same time. This conveys the detergent from the front chamber 49 of the drawer 45 into the spray tube 28 and through the shaft 30 of the bristle roller 27 so that the bristle rollers 25-27 are continuously wetted with the detergent during their rotary movement.
When the door 13 is closed, the circular brush 60 rests against the bottom of the bucket attached to the bristle roller 27. Due to its laterally offset arrangement, it is rotated by the rotation of the bucket and at the same time cleans the bucket floor. To end the washing process, the timer, not shown, switches off the electric motor 35 and the detergent pump, not shown. Then it controls the solenoid valve which actuates the hydraulic piston 41, whereby the door 13 is opened. The fan 57 still remains in operation. As a result of the ventilator 57 in the washroom 9, the latter suddenly fills with air when the door 13 is opened.
A possible tear-off spark when removing a bucket - due to the electrostatic charging of the bristles - does not find an ambient atmosphere with an explosive concentration of the detergent. However, any risk of explosion is also reduced by choosing antistatic bristles.
